This is an excellent restaurant and very popular. First of all, we had the scones with 2 kinds of butter which were delicious. I had Oysters which were tender and seasoned in a great crunchy batter. I also had a cherry non-alcoholic drink which was delightful. We were offered coffees and I had latte. Great ambience and service.

First time eating at peppervine & the food was DELICIOUS. Our server Louis recommended the mushroom agnolotti & I am so glad I went with his recommendation. The best pasta I’ve ever had! The bison bolognese was amazing too. Every dish you can tell is made with love & high quality ingredients. The customer service was great. We will for sure be back! For 4 dishes & yeast rolls, it came out to $150 before tip which really is not bad at all for the amount of food. We would’ve gotten dessert but we were stuffed :-)

Everything we ordered at this place was absolutely delicious. The ambience is very cute and romantic and is perfect for a date night. To me, the yeast rolls are a must try. They are soft and buttery on the inside and crisp on the outside. I also enjoyed the general tso’s cauliflower. The golden prawns were not to my liking since it had less salt, but the smoky flavour was amazing. I loved the mushroom ravioli and it’s one of the best ravioli that I have had (missed to click a picture). The branzino with crispy skin was also delicious, but I think the side with the fish could be a better one. Summing up, really enjoyed the food and time at peppervine and would definitely be back here to try out other dishes.

We recently celebrated our anniversary at Peppervine and had the most lovely experience. I think we found new date night spot in Charlotte! There was a little bit of a mix up in the beginning as to who was taking care of our table, but that was quickly resolved by the management and our waiter, Nicole was very kind and polite. They brought out two glasses of champagne to thank us for celebrate our anniversary at Peppervine, which was a very kind and attentive gesture. The food here was absolutely delicious! We got the infamous yeast rolls and the mussels for starters, and yes the rolls were amazing. For our mains we ordered the 24 hour short rib and the hanger steak, which were both delicious! We couldn’t decide what was our favorite bite of the night as everything was very delicious and tastefully served. We can’t wait to be back soon!

This was our first time and enjoyed great food, service, and experience. Server was very knowledgeable about the menu and everything recommended was fantastic. Mushroom pasta was the best bite of the night. Cauliflower for taste and lions mane for texture. Both incredible with nice slaw. Young elevated vibe but not stuffy. Can’t wait to return!

5-Star Dinner Review of Peppervine – Charlotte, NC Tucked into SouthPark’s Piedmont Town Center, Peppervine delivers an exceptional dining experience that seamlessly blends culinary artistry with warm hospitality. Ambiance & Atmosphere The contemporary, art-filled interior exudes sophistication without pretension. The open kitchen offers a glimpse into the culinary craftsmanship, while the mezzanine lounge and curated artwork create a chic yet inviting setting. Despite a bustling crowd, the acoustics are thoughtfully designed, ensuring conversations remain intimate. Culinary Highlights Peppervine’s progressive American menu emphasizes locally sourced, seasonal ingredients presented through globally inspired small and large plates. Standout dishes include the General Tso’s Cauliflower—crispy tempura florets glazed with a tangy orange sauce—and the melt-in-your-mouth yeast rolls, baked to order with Maldon salt. The 24-Hour Short Rib, served with potato mousseline and bordelaise, showcases the kitchen’s ability to elevate comfort food to fine dining. What to wear For Peppervine in Charlotte, a smart casual to business casual dress code is ideal, with some guests opting for slightly dressier attire due to the upscale ambiance. 🔹 Recommended Attire for Peppervine: For Women: • Stylish blouse or dressy top with tailored pants or a skirt • A chic dress or jumpsuit • Heels, dressy flats, or fashionable boots • Accessories kept elegant and understated For Men: • Collared shirt or button-down (a blazer is a nice touch but not required) • Dress slacks or chinos • Closed-toe dress shoes or clean loafers • No tie needed, but it wouldn’t feel out of place 🔸 What to Avoid: • Athletic wear (sweatpants, gym shorts) • Flip-flops or overly casual sneakers • T-shirts with loud graphics or logos • Ripped or distressed jeans While it’s not a formal restaurant, Peppervine’s refined setting makes it the kind of place where you’ll feel more comfortable—and match the vibe—if you’re dressed with a little polish. Think date night or upscale dinner with friends rather than super casual. I was here for dinner with family in late December, after Christmas, 2024. The holiday vibe in the area was spot on! Response to Owner: You’re welcome! I so enjoyed the food and can’t wait to come back again. I love supporting businesses like yours ❤️

First time. Upscale so no shorts tank tops or sloppy dressing. Love they offer 3 courses it allows you time to enjoy and relax. Everything is made to order not prepared in advance. The food was delicious. Make sure to order their yeast bread. Yummy. The staff was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Absolutely yes yes yes

Great experience. As someone who bakes a lot of homemade bread I thought people were exaggerating the Yeast Rolls... But wow, they are incredible. The overall experience was great. We ordered the yeast rolls + the 3course for 2 meals. Everything was good - excellent. It was a great way to celebrate an anniversary! Ed provided amazing service. 5 stars!

My boyfriend took me here for dinner for my birthday. I must say the ambience was incredible. The general manager was amazing I didn’t get his name and our waitress was very attentive. The food was amazing!! Thanks to cole lackey for reccomending this place we loved it.

Wonderful atmosphere, service, and delicious food! Michelle was super informative, kind, and took her time with us. The standouts for me were definitely the yeast rolls, Hawaiian Crudo, and general Tso’s cauliflower - I strongly recommend all three. If you have a chance to visit go for it!

Fantastic service. Beautiful ambiance. Delicious food. The small and large plates were excellent. We had the fried oysters, pork belly, 24-hour beef short ribs, and NY strip steak. The desserts were a bit disappointing. The tres leches and toffee cake were both on the dry side. Presentation was lovely though.

Amazing experience. We were celebrating our anniversary. Food was delicious. Brad, our server was the best. Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable!! The Gem Salad, Fried Oyster, and Mushroom Dish were sooo good!! Drinks were great as well. 10/10, would recommend to friends and anyone interested in trying. Atmosphere was really pretty and comfortable. Thanks for being so great! We will be back for sure.

It was amazing, we have been once and were dying for a reason to go back! Everything on the menu is great but we ordered a second serving of the yeast rolls (for appetizer and dessert) because they are THAT good. The cocktails were also delicious. We will 10000% come back here and bring out of town guests to experience this goodness!

Peppervine is a real gem in Charlotte and is one of my top five restaurants in the whole world. They have mastered the ambience, service, and food and it’s very telling that there are so many regulars. Charlotte has quite a few good restaurants, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find something better than Peppervine. It’s hard to beat them at any one category, even more so in all categories. Just save yourself the trouble and dine at Peppervine. You’ll be so glad you did. If you hang out long enough by the entrance, you’ll hear nothing but praise as people are leaving.

We visited Peppervine to celebrate our anniversary and we left completely satisfied! The food is incredible. There wasn't one item we ordered to which we didn't immediately remark, "Wow, this is delicious." The service was top-notch. Our server was very knowledgable regarding the menu and each dish. The ambience was airy and pleasant, light music in the background. My husband ordered the mushroom angoletti and it was spectacular. He said it was the best pasta he's ever had. I had the Bison parpardelle which was very fresh and tasty, however I regret not trying a more ecclectic dish such as the Branzino or Scallops. We will definitely return, the menu is too good not to!

A culinary masterpiece with impeccable service. Stop reading other comments and book a reservation already! The rolls were buttery salty goodness that melt in your mouth. Branzino and short rib were delicious. Cauliflower excellent. Both desserts were fantastic. Awesome experience all around!

My husband took me here for our anniversary and I was blown away!! Everything was delicious from the drinks to the dessert. I got the old fashioned as my drink and the way the bartender mixed this drink was perfection. They added an orange and cherry flavor that elevated the taste of the old fashion. The yeast rolls were so moist and warm since they are made to order. I'm not a big eater so the small plate was enough for me. I ordered the pork belly and the way the potatoes and apple flavors mixed with the pork was divine. I don't know what sauce was used but it was delicious. The waiter had an extra fried cauliflower dish and my husband was nervous because he hates cauliflower and it tasted so good. It was like we were eating orange chicken and was very impressed with it. My husband had the Spanish Octopus which was good but the pork belly was better. We had a strawberry dessert that was so simple but so intricate at the same time. Kudos to the chef!! I wish I could taste everything on the menu before it changes. I highly recommend this place. All items are pictured below.

The place has a cool look a feel, great service. The dining room feels a bit tight, would want sit closer to the bar here. Great wine list, pricey domestic bottles, old world wines are better bang for the buck. Food portions to price made sense, loved it was a nice portion. The octopus took top marks for us, and could have ordered all the main courses. Great experience.

Great service and lots of unique, sharable plates. The restaurant is themed around picking out a bunch of small plates and entrees to share. They also have a fantastic cocktail menu. Make sure to order some of the bread plates - their pimento scones are one of the best things on the menu and the yeast rolls are also too good to pass up.

Peppervine in Charlotte served great scones appetizers and entrees, and one dessert that was specially memorable- perfectly tart, not too sweet, with rich chocolate and coffee notes — absolutely loved it

We went for a spur of the moment date night. My husband travels a lot for his job and gets to go out to fancy restaurants on the regular. I do not though, so I felt like maybe I was owed a bit. Peppervine did not disappoint! We had the yeast rolls (so f*cking good, excuse my language), the cauliflower also amazing and I had the short rib and my husband the newest dish the airplane chicken. The short rib was amazing, potatoes were perfect, gravy had my husband drooling for more. His chicken was super tender and delicious, though he said it was the teeniest little bit underwhelming compared to everything else. I also got a pear martini which was insanely good and did the job. 🤪 Ambience is lovely, and of course be prepared to spend some $$. Totally worth it and delicious!

True 5 star experience! Great food, fantastic service, and wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend the pimento cheese scones, general Tao’s cauliflower, 24-hour short rib and the Lamb papparvelle!

Went to Peppervine to celebrate. First time there and had an excellent time. The space is so chic and the food was delicious. We enjoyed it all with the exception of the oysters. As someone from the coast I'm rather picky with seafood, and these were a bit bland. If you're deciding between the breads, definitely go with the scones. We ordered both because my husband isn't a fan of pimento cheese, but after he had one of the scones he kept coming back for more. See photos for food and drinks. Can't wait to come back! Highly recommend reservations. 1. Yeast rolls (fork for size) 2. Pimento Cheese Scones (6 total) 3. Fried Oysters 4. CONCHIGLIONI PASTA 5. VERLASSO SALMON 6. Carmel Corn Cake 7. ZEPPOLE DOUGHNUTS 8. Espresso Martini and TONGUE THAI’D

This place is amazing. I am blown-away by the amount of care, attention to detail, and pride each person exemplifies at the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit for an unforgettable experience. We went for a girls night out and shared the small plates. We ordered the yeast rolls, octopus, mushrooms with popcorn grits, tuna tartare, and elote cauliflower. We also ordered dessert. Every dish was delicious...and I say this seriously, if you want food that sings...go to Peppervine.

We had an excellent experience at Peppervine. The food was absolutely delectable and the customer service exceeded expectations. Fantastic meal from start to finish. Very modern, clean atmosphere. Acoustics are very good. Even though it was very crowded it didn’t seem loud and conversation was easy. Our server Brannon was excellent. The food was amazing. Everything was very balanced with the perfect amount of seasoning and acid. Portions were the perfect size. Extensive wine and cocktail list. Decent beer list. Highly recommended.

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had the privilege to enjoy. The service was top tier, professional, engaging, and made it feel as though the focus was solely on your table. I cannot speak highly enough about this part. It gets better - The food is extraordinary. Starting the night with the freshly baked to order yeast rolls was a perfect intro into the level of detail and care each dish receives. Followed by mussels and cauliflower, the evening continues with exquisite dishes packed full of flavor and executed to perfection. My main course was their 24 hour short rib which, if you do not try is only a disservice to yourself. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the quality of the libations available and the extensive wine list to choose from. Top tier stuff folks! Whether it be for a celebration or for the sake of enjoying good food, Peppervine needs to be next on your list to try! This is the kind of place you write home about!

I would highly recommend this restaurant! The service is excellent. We got the beet appetizer, it was amazing. Both entrees were fabulous. Great outside dining area. The oysters were very fresh and delicious. The Curried Cauliflower appetizer was full of complex flavors and great presentation. If this appetizer is on the menu, you have to try it! You will not be disappointed.

Went to Peppervine for dinner last Friday. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. They have a very nice wine by the glass selection and we went with the Pinot noir and a valpolicella. Started off with the yeast buns which were perfectly baked and salted just right. For appetizer I ordered the tuna tartare, which again was perfectly seasoned with the right touch of cilantro and citrus to brighten things up and my friend had the general Tso's cauliflower and said it was great. For main course, I had the coq au vin that was very tasty and moist with deep flavors and a nice jus. My friend had the grilled mahi with the pearl couscous and shitake mushrooms and said the fish was cooked just right and the sauce paired nicely. Service was prompt, responsive and proactive. Water glasses didn't need to go half empty to be refilled and we never felt rushed. For dessert I ordered the plum tart and I found it a bit heavy on the frangipane and lacking in plum or lemon curd. I was expecting a tad more acidity, I guess. Overall a great dining experience in one of the most exciting restaurants in the area.

First off, the customer service is unrivaled. The staff was so welcoming and attentive. The waitress made great suggestions and the manager offered my date and I courtesy champagne. The vibe was classy and chilled. Decor and sanitation superb. Now to the food part, it was mouthwatering delicious. I had the bison bolognais. It’s the best I’ve had. I’ll certainly be back!

Several people recommended we go here so we picked it for our most recent celebration. We typically get small plates so we got several along with a single entree. We got: pimento cheese scones, yeast rolls, crispy pig ears, lumache carbonara, and charred Korean beef rib. Everything was fantastic. The pig ears were my favorite. They were perfectly crispy with great seasoning. The scones were probably my second favorite. The yeast rolls kept growing on me the more I ate them. I recommend letting them cool down because they taste better when they aren't piping hot. Most people start with either the pimento cheese scones or the yeast rolls. We couldn't decide so we got both. I loved the beef rib, but it was way too big of a portion. We love variety and this was too much for us. I was tired if it by the end. My husband and I could have split it as our whole meal. I would only get it again if I had a larger group. The flavors were great and it was incredibly tender, it was just too much food. The service was good and pretty fast. We're the crazy people that eat at 5 though, so it wasn't crowded when we got there. The vibe is a little stuffy for my preference. I highly recommend this place for your next special occasion!

When I chose to go to Peppervine I had high expectations after reading all the reviews and hearing the recommendations from people. The atmosphere and food was nothing short of amazing. When I go out for a date night I like the atmosphere to be intimate and even when the restaurant was packed I felt like we were alone. In addition, the wait staff is great, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. To the average person a lot of the menu can seem overwhelming, but our waitress Nur graciously went through every item on the menu with us till we were confident on the dishes we wanted. We decided on the Yeast rolls, baked sun choke, and for the entrees the duck and short rib. Even though the yeast rolls are just bread they are made to order and will make you want to only eat bread the entire night. Everything we ordered was beautifully made on the plate and did not lack flavor at all and the short rib melts in your mouth. I will definitely be coming back and recommend anyone to give it a try.

Great place, first time trying it for my gfs bday. Its a nice fancy restaurant that is not too stuffy. The food and service are good and the prices some of the better ones around. Could use an extra item or 2 on the menu more kid/basic dude eating friendly and another dessert or two. We had a great time and it was a great find, we will certainly be back

Loved Peppervine in Charlotte NC. Was such an amazing space, had a HUGE wine list, incredible cocktails and delicious food. We had a dirty martini with homemade blue cheese olives and the Misty Eyed Margarita which had tequila, cointreau hibiscus-habanero-pineapple, lime & lemon. The food was delicious and well plated. We had- Pimento Cheese Scones Tuna Tataki Cauliflower P..I. Mussels Thai Spare Ribs Boar Short Rib pasta Pommes Frites Such an unbelievable experience! Big love to our server Luis!!!!

This restaurant is one of the BEST in Charlotte. The ambience is crisp and comfortable while being sophisticated. The food is excellent and innovative. The wine list is unmatched in the city. Tommy, the GM, is absolutely the most knowledgeable man I know when it comes to wine and his passion for it is always contagious. He knows so many guests by name and it is a pleasure to watch him and his well trained team execute hospitality at a high level. 5 star experience every time and don't order a bottle until you get Tommy's recommendation!

This was an anniversary dinner. The atmosphere and decor were elegant. The food was fantastic and memorable. The service, especially our waitress Paige, was amazing. Paige made us feel welcomed from the moment we sat down until we walked out the door.

We've been coming to Peppervine since 2019. I would said it's been consistent since then, but I think they've elevated their dishes each time we go. We just had the fried oysters, and as a Native New Orleans, it was like being back home. I had the most delicious muscles in a Tom-Ka broth. I really wanted a straw to finish it off. The other members of our party had the Spanish Octopus, hanger steak, and the 24-hour short ribs. Everyone has clean plates. We love their cocktails and wine lists, as well. They perfectly compliment their menu. We can't wait to go back.

Made a reservation for my ladies 30th birthday and it went great. A few things I should comment on. The place has a great ambiance and is not to loud on the inside. The seating is a bit close depending on if you’re seated at the smaller section but that is not enough to say I didn’t enjoy the visit. I do have to say maybe I glanced at the photos of the yeast rolls a bit to fast in the reviews because we were expecting them to be much larger than they actually are…. No big deal they melt in your mouth!!!! But beware you will need to order more than one batch. The portions are a bit small depending on what you order but the food is pretty good. DO NOT expect to come and dine for two for less than one hundred dollars!! It’s worth it at the end of the day! ***** The chocolate hazelnut bar is crazy good I’m pretty sure they do not have this on the menu anymore but was served to us as a birthday dish. 10/10

The restaurant is beautiful. I love the art setup as soon as you walk in the door. We went for our 6 year anniversary. The dishes were plated with precision. The yeast rolls were fresh, fluffy and delicious. The salad we ordered had a lot of vinegar on it. And the greens that came with the ribs were very tart and had too much lemon. The fried oystwrs were DELICIOUS! Crunchy, breading had just the right amount of spices, and it tasted so fresh. We really enjoyed the chicken and steak. Both cooked perfectly, flavored great, with a variety of textures making every bite melt in your mouth. The buttermilk pie is tender and a perfect end to your meal. Overall great experience. Would highly recommend.

It’s a cool place with a modern layout. This is a tapas restaurant so be prepared to order 2 small plates and maybe one bigger plate. We were a party of 4 and ordered 4 small plates and 3 larger plates with 2 deserts. We shared all plates so we tasted a bit of everything. However, the four of us thought the portions (for tapas) were smaller than comparable tapas restaurants; and higher prices. But it all tasted good. The service is superb and the wine list is pretty impressive too!

My husband & I went to Peppervine for my birthday and had a wonderful experience. They have an extensive wine list. The drinks were well made and the food was delicious. You could really tell the chefs took their time and prepared our meal with care. The general manager Tommy was personable and kind and I look forward to visiting again.

Atmosphere is calming. Music & lighting were perfect. The menu requires some foodie knowledge, or access to Google! Everything was very good. There was quite a wait between first plates & main entree, but other than that a very enjoyable experience.

E
Eva T

The service was good. While they recommend 4 to 5 dishes per couple we had 3 plus dessert, small Gem salad, very fresh and crispy, Agnolotti with mushrooms, etc creamy, tasty and Boar Bolognese, a little tangy, I found the ribbons of pasta a little thick, good but I wouldn't repeat it The dessert was buttermilk pie, delicious. Regular coffee tasty, $4. The place is beautiful, really high ceilings, giant soft lamps hinging from the ceiling, wooden decorations. I'd like to come back and try other things.

V
Vince M

The server was very attentive and informative. Took the time to discuss the meals and the various wines. A couple of us ordered the blue crab lumache with jumbo lump crab meat. It was okay. You had to search for very small pieces of crab. For the money I would have preferred to actually enjoy chunks of crab and not pieces smaller than your fingernail. The other two people at our table had the Bison Bolognese. I know it says ground bison, but in my opinion I think the customer would prefer to actually enjoy eating bison meat in the form of chunks and not tiny ground up pieces assuming it's bison because the small pieces do not allow you to enjoy the actual taste of the meat. There was no Wow factor for either meal. That's what brings in new customers and returning customers because they talked about their great meal.

D
Deidra F

Service was excellent from the server to the food runners. Definitely get the yeast rolls! We ordered hanger steak and 24 hour short rib as entrees, both were fantastic! For dessert we had the chocolate espresso tart and that was a little disappointing - weird texture and the tart shell was too sweet and the espresso ice cream was not it.

This place is professional, clean, and it seems working on their own upscale dining experience. Only thing that really bothered me is that the waitress touched my shoulder while talking to me, i enjoy my personal space and do not appreciate physical contact with strangers. Another thing she struggled to understand is no dairy no animal products besides fish, aka lent diet, she tried to convince me that butter on bread is okay even tho that does not align. Other than that my food was great, i had fish with veggies and my husband had bolognese which he was happy with but proceeded to tell me he enjoyed the homemade ones better. He did really love the bread- definitely worth a try. Overall solid experience, mocktails are delicious by the way. I would appreciate less push to order more items of the menu. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I’ll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that.

D
David Courteau

Great service, but food wasn’t very flavorful… Can’t rationalize a $200 meal for two when half the dishes were rather tasteless. Yeast rolls were delicious, but undercooked and unfortunately upset our stomachs after. I don’t know if we’ll be returning.

My husband and I went there to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We had 5:30 reservations and the restaurant was nearly empty on a Saturday night. They just opened at 5:00 so that was understandable. They sat us at the two top closest to the kitchen, that I can’t understand. We said something and they changed our table, it took a minute and it made us feel like the bad guys. The young man running the front of the house was very kind. He gave a glass of sparkling wine, very nice. We had the yeast rolls, very good. We didn’t care for the mushroom dish, it was bland. We also had the mussels, Branzino and lamb. The lamb was cooked perfectly, but tough and fatty. The Branzino was the star of the night. The mussels were delicious, but 4 hours later my husband had food poisoning. I’ll spare you the details. I will be calling tomorrow to let them know, but we’re pretty sure it was the mussels. Not a great first experience for our 40th, but we will try them again a little more educated.

We regularly book Peppervine for important recruiting dinners, often flying people in from out of town. At the very last minute, they just canceled our reservation that has been scheduled for weeks because of a private booking. No one called us, we just got a notification form Open Table. This shows they clearly do not value loyal, repeat business customers. When you’re trying to run professional meetings, you need reliability—not a restaurant that prioritizes private parties over long-standing reservations. This level of disregard is unacceptable. If you care about consistency, professionalism, and being treated like your business matters, I strongly recommend never booking here. There are plenty of restaurants in Charlotte that respect their customers. We will not book here again.
