First of all the city and the location of the restaurant is very stunning. The recommendation from the staff was very good. The meals are very creative and fine. The taste of everything fine and balanced, nothing was overloaded in flavour. They have an excellent wine card with a good selection. I have been here in the region for several years and it was one of the best restaurant experiences I have had here and will visit defiantly again. I recommend making a reservation in advance.

We ate here a couple of years ago and enjoyed it so much we wanted to return on this visit to Girona. It did not disappoint. The food is lovely and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Lovely place.

The dishes here are amazing - the best we've had in the Girona area! You must try the Iberian Pork Secreto - it was delicious, beyond my expectations. We also ordered 2 of the specials - croquettes and pizza, also amazing! We chose the restaurant because of the quaint and inviting location, and also because it was open at 2:30pm. And we were blown away by the quality of the food and presentation!

This is the second year in a row we visit this restaurant, and I'm sure we will repeat it again. The waitresses are super nice. We remember them from last year as well, and they are really happy and helpful, and presents the menu in a very nice way. It is really obvious that they care for their restaurant, and the clients. The menu offers a lot of variation, and they tend to have daily dishes in addition to the set menu. All the dishes are presented very well, and the taste is just amazing. Everything we got was impeccable, and it's all meant to be shared. Coupled with the super cute local in a very picturesque town, makes it a must try for anybody in the area. Especially for romantic dates. We will see you again next year!

We were absolutely delighted by D.O. Candelaria. This is not the most well-known restaurant in Peratallada, but it's the best food we've had in this village, and in fact, this small dining room delivered one of the best dining experiences we've had in the whole area. The room is lovely, the server was delightful and attentive, and everything we have tried from the a la carte menu was dynamite. This is ambitious cooking, but very thoughtful, and every combination works beautifully. You cannot go wrong with the popular cod omelet or monkfish cannelloni, but the start of our recent lunch was a daily special of squid, sausage, snow peas, onion, black garlic and egg in a wok creation that knocked our socks off. I know L'Eixida gets the attention, but this is the better restaurant.

The place, the decoration with great painting from the Chef wife, the service and for sure the quality of food in the surprising dishes will leave you speechless and certainly will make you come again and again. A rather smaller restaurant but that usually hints that quality is high and it is. Besides food, atmosphere is another thing that makes or breaks your experience. The loud English diners(apologies lads) aside we got the atmosphere they try to create here. It's a + and + story as we say in Dutch. It's the setting of the tables, it's the smaller amount of tables, it's the art on the walls... Atmosphere and food make your experience. And that, that is what they understand really well here. Food. It's where you share dishes and I think that's great because this way you share the whole experience and the great food. We had 4 dishes to share and as being said before: that's enough to Silence you😬 I have 0 remarks about the dishes. None. They simply were that good. The wine I chose wasn't available anymore but the given alternative was hard to beat. It shows that the owner also knows what she's talking about. One remark tho: make sure you as a guest speak Spanish or Catalan. We don't speak it very well and the drinks got a bit mixed up. The younger lady that served us apologised for this but really it was our fault for not being able to say things more clearly. We need to adapt, not them. But they did their best in English and the host speaks it rather good. So don't let that be a reason for not going. All in all, we loved it and bookmarked it for a future visit.
