Acropolis Grill in Chattanooga is an absolute gem for anyone who loves great food and generous portions. The dishes are consistently excellent, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. One standout that deserves special mention is the pot roast—it’s incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned, and honestly one of the best I’ve had anywhere. And then there’s the dessert counter… an entire display filled with fresh-made cakes, pies, and pastries that look as good as they taste. It’s impossible to leave without trying something sweet. From savory comfort food to unforgettable desserts, Acropolis Grill delivers every time. Highly recommended.

Food was excellent and the allow dogs on their outdoor area which in the winter is heated and covered. That made it a great stop for us as we traveled south with our dog. We’ll go out of our way to stop again. I thought the lamb shank was excellent and my wife enjoyed the shrimp and grits. The meals both came with salads and the Greek and southern pecan were both tasty. In addition they served a nice bread basket. The pricing was very reasonable and the service was good too. The owner even stoped by to check on us. Highly recommend.

Everything was amazing but the margarine. I only like and use butter and they had margarine on my potato. I will make sure to ask for butter next time! Lentil soup was really good too. My whole family was there and we took up the whole back area!

Wonderful place to have our 28th anniversary dinner. Great food, atmosphere, and staff. Classic entrées to great desserts. I would've liked an option of a cream soup instead of 4 broth soups. Maybe a chicken gnocchi with spinach or roasted garlic & rosemary...😉🤩.

This place was fantastic! We ordered the Gyro plate and pasticho, both of which were delicious. We also grabbed some sweets on our way out, and they were amazing too! Definitely a great experience!

Wonderful food (the pot roast is always so tender and flavorful), wonderful desserts, great value, and amazing service. One of my favorite family owned restaurants for over 40 years now.

Had dinner at this family owned place. Everything we had was absolutely fresh and delicious - the chicken souvlaki wrap, the lemon pasta with grilled chicken. Enjoyed the warm bread that's almost like a dessert. Service was brisk and friendly. The owner came to our table and chatted with us - told her we wished they had an Atlanta area branch. Very reasonably priced too.

The service and food were exceptional! The queen of Acropolis was a lovely, engaging lady who monitored everyone's satisfaction! She was engaging and as wonderful as the food! We were celebrating my daughter's 3 year sobriety! It was a family atmosphere. Our waitress was adorable! Everything was perfect! Thank you, Acropolis! That was my first time and it won't be my last!

The food was top notch. The tzatziki sauce was the best I’ve ever had. The peach pork chop was substantial, grilled with a bit of char and the jus was quite flavorful. Brocoli and potatoes were excellent. The Greek combo platter gave a great taste of everything. The moussaka and grape leaves being favorites. All of the staff were polite and professional and our server Grace was the best.

We're in Chattanooga for a show and found this place on google maps. It exceeded our expectations. First our server was fabulous. He was attentive and friendly giving great suggestions and being prompt. The food was very good. The flavors were traditional with the correct seasoning for authentic greek food. We ordered the Saganaki for the appetizer. My wife had the greek combo and I had the classic Gyro.

This was a great find, locally owned and a family business. The food was fantastic and flavorful. Most of the pastas, sauces, and dressings were all house made. I highly recommend the Caesar salad and Vegetable lemon pasta.

The atmosphere was amazing - it was clean, well-decorated, and very cozy. The service was the best I’ve ever had - the server checked in regularly, had a very pleasant attitude, and took extra steps to make our experience perfect (i.e., waiting to place our dessert order so it was ready right when our main meal ended). The restaurant also had more affordable options. The dessert could’ve been warm, but other than that, this is one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had.

Stopped in on our way home to Atlanta. Absolutely delicious. We had the Greek combo, the eggrolls, the stuffed cabbage special and a slice of strawberry cake Togo. Loved our conversation with the sweet owner who even gave us some advice to getting older. Keep moving! We will be back!

We were on the way to Pigeon Forge and saw this restaurant close by the I75 north. We wanted to eat something different and this was the perfect spot to give it a try. The staff is super friendly and their customer service is amazing. Very cleaned and comfortable dining area including outdoor sitting as well. Food was great, I got the humus and calamari for appetizer. The lamb chops were tasty and juicy, the lemon chicken was ok. Finally I got the baklava for dessert and it was good, not dry not too sponge. The owner came by the table and asked if everything was right. This is an evidence that they do care about customer experience. First time here and I’ll recommend it if you’re in the area.

My husband and I recently spent an extended weekend near Chattanooga, Tennessee. We searched for different cuisines, and we found Acropolis Grill, a Greek restaurant. We began with an appetizer, whipped feta and hummus with pita chips. It was so good. I’m a big fan of good feta cheese and this was awesome, the hummus was very good as well. We then ordered authentic Greek salads, my husband added chicken to his, and I added grilled salmon. My salmon was cooked to perfection. It literally melted in my mouth. For dessert we ordered a sample platter, fresh from their bakery. We both shared a couple of items from the sampler and then took the rest home. There was so much left over. If you like Greek food, this place is the real deal. Service was fantastic, our server was polite and very knowledgeable about the food and checked on several times throughout our meal. The price is very reasonable as well. We will definitely return here when we make another trip to Chattanooga.

🟤Acropolis Mediterranean Grill I’ve been to Acropolis Mediterranean Grill for dinner before, and it’s always a fantastic experience. This time, I stopped in for drinks and dessert and finally had the chance to take some pictures. I shared a piece of their Chocolate Lover’s cake, which was rich, indulgent, and incredibly thick—definitely a treat worth savoring. Alongside it, I ordered the Irish Coffee, and it was exactly what I needed on a cold night. The warmth of the whiskey blended beautifully with the coffee, while the minty whipped topping added a refreshing twist. My companion opted for the Nutty Irishman, another standout drink, and we both left impressed. The service was excellent as always—Lucy H took great care of us, and the cozy atmosphere made it a perfect spot to unwind. Whether you’re stopping in for a full dinner or just dessert and drinks, Acropolis never disappoints. Five stars!

Our first time and it was delicious! I can't remember the server's name, but she was excellent! Kept our drinks filled, kept coming by to check on us. I received a free dessert when I told them it was my birthday! I ordered the strawberry cheesecake and it was divine! The waitress said much of the food was made in the restaurant and not by outside suppliers. I asked her to get the person behind making this cheesecake out to our table so I could compliment her on the way it was made! When you go, you gotta try it! 😜

This is hands down my favorite Greek restaurant! The atmosphere is absolutely perfect—warm, inviting, and filled with friendly faces. Everyone greets you with a smile, and the service is beyond exceptional every single time. Whether I’m here for lunch or dinner, with friends, family, or even alone, it’s always a wonderful experience. And the food? Absolutely delicious! I’ve tried several items on the menu, and everything has been outstanding. If you're looking for amazing Greek cuisine and top-tier hospitality, this is the place to be!

We ordered catering from Acropolis last night for our company Christmas Party. I just want to say we had a wonderful experience working with the Acropolis team and the food was phenomenal. I corresponded with Lexie via email to work out the details of our order. She sent the invoice via email. The order arrived on time and was exactly as we ordered. Everyone at the party enjoyed it. Thank you to the Acropolis team for such a great experience.

I am a regional training manager for Outback Steakhouse. I emphasize guest connection daily. Katie has an easy ability to connect with her guests, make them feel comfortable and welcome. The measure of good bartender is being able to make the guest feel seen while juggling a thousand things at once. Katie was amazing. Absolutely amazing. She provided an excellent recommendation (who orders pot roast at a Greek restaurant? Katie sold it and I had no choice but to try it). It was AMAZING. This restaurant checks off all boxes. Clean Great vibe Friendly and engaging staff Excellent service Excellent food. Thanks for making my day better, y’all.

Traveling through Chattanooga, my family of four decided to stop here. I can definitely see why they’ve been in business for thirty years, as we had a lovely experience. The food was excellent. All four of us ordered different dishes and all were wonderful. Veggies and fruit were wonderfully fresh. Our server, Tameka, was phenomenal. I highly recommend Acropolis Grill to anyone wanting delicious, fresh food and excellent service.

This was sooo yummy!!! Plenty of options for those with celiac. I had the lentil soup, shrimp and grits, GF cheesecake, and PB+chocolate chip cookie — needless to say, I’m full and happy!!! Also, the Greek nachos (not celiac friendly) were soooo good. Delicious. 10/10 no notes

Our waitress was great. She checked on us, but was not intrusive. She offered suggestions for the children. We all ordered different items and no one had a complaint about anything. We will be returning.

Needed to pickup good food off the interstate after a 15 hour drive from Texas and almost to Knoxville. The lamb burger was delicious. The dessert selection was incredible. Yum. I'll be stopping again when in the Chattanooga area.

My favorite restaurant in Chattanooga. We made a special stop when we were driving home from Sewanee to SC. Warm, friendly vibes. Excellent service, the food is fresh and delicious. This visit I had pecan crusted trout with fig jam, over grits and roasted Brussels sprouts. Yum. My husband had pit roast which was also tasty - generous portion and tender. The salads are always fresh, and our creme brulee for dessert was creamy, and just right to top off the meal. I visited the bakery counter on the way out for a cookie sampler for my co-workers back home. I have been to Acropolis 4 times and it is always a delightful experience.

Anne and I had a great lunch today at Acropolis Grill in Chattanooga. Anne had a delicious Greek chicken dish…..capers, olives, feta, lemon sauce……..I thought I was back in Greece. My fish and chips were very good, but it was the tartar sauce that really made it. Special thanks to our server, Darla, who was so helpful…….great advice and we never lacked for anything. We are looking forward to our next visit…….and hope to see Darla again.

The gyros & chicken kabobs were DELICIOUS & they were so accommodating on a cold day to turn on the patio heaters and serve us there. Great attitudes, delicious food and superb atmosphere. :)

Best Mediterranean food in Chattanooga! I never knew a pork chop could be so tender. Addicted to the hummus, whipped feta, and stuffed grape leaves. Everything was delish and Olivia was amazing! Will be back often!

Been here many times and we have always enjoyed coming back! The food is all good; you can’t go wrong with any of it. The atmosphere is inviting and the service Jordan provided was friendly and quick. Love the Souvlaki wings and the Saganaki…best I’ve ever had anywhere! And desserts…so many good options to choose from but this time the Blueberry Lemon Cake was delightful.

Love this place, been on business for many years and has never let me down. One of my go to places in Chattanooga. For both Greek and southern food, good quality and fair prices. The desert selection is amazing and delicious. We love unique fair prices cocktails. Give them a try, you will be back.

Delicious! Great service! Good atmosphere and new things to try from the usual menus. $10-20 per person but we also got appetizers. They have a $10-20 area of the menu and a $20-30 area

The date spot in the city! Me and my girl spent hours in there, and nobody made us leave, nobody made us rush through our meal. We talked, laughed, and just ate and ate! I had the lemon chicken pasta, and she had the pork chops (with the broccoli and sweet potatoe pieces). Everytime we go in, we have excellent service and the ambiance is awesome! Cant recommend enough! Even if you are going for a quick lunch, or you want to impress people with a local spot (where it's not a chain restaurant), this is the spot I would recommend! Have been several times, and will be back for future visits.

I had lunch here with my wife and we thoroughly enjoyed it. She is gluten free and had no problem finding something good to eat. She had grilled salmon and I had the Greek combo. Both meals were satisfying. Place has a good Greek vibe. Service was also professional and attentive.

The location is convenient to the interstate and surrounding area. The restaurant was three-fourths full on a Wednesday night. Service was attentive with several people, including the manager, stopping by to see if we were satisfied. I had the chicken kebab, my friend had the fisherman's platter. The food was good but I've been spoilt by tasting authentic Greek food. (For example, the Greek salad came with lettuce while "real" salads in Greece don't have lettuce). Portion size was good. Price is fair. My friend felt his seafood was slightly overcooked. We did have to ask for lemon for our water. There's a dessert case at the entrance with lots of yummy treats but we didn't get anything.

My wife, daughter and I visited today food lunch. Olivia was our server. The good: Were ordered the spreads appetizer, gyro dinner, and two Greek spaghetti. The food was very good. We enjoyed that part of the visit very much. And for all we ordered, $65 isn't that bad for quality food. I'll pay that gladly. Everything seemed clean. The dining area, restrooms, etc... were all in good shape. The bad: Our service. Maybe today just wasn't her day. We all have them and that's what I prefer to think because the service was terrible. The ladies asked for lemon with their water. No lemon. The food arrived before the salads. When it did arrive my salad had the wrong dressing. A different employee attempted to bring me the correct dressing but Olivia had already correctly taken the salad for replacement. We had to ask for bread after the food was already there. None was brought to the table when we were seated. It was just an uncoordinated mess. Would it stop us from going back? My wife and I, yes. My daughter and her husband have just found the place and are enjoying it. I'm sure they'll return. Would I recommend it? Maybe with a word of warning. We'll probably skip it because Chattanooga has too many good places to eat to bother with bad service. Should you try it? Sure, give it a try. But don't say I didn't warn you. (The owner did check on us as we were about to leave. We were ready to go and I don't like to seem like I'm trying to get something knocked off my bill by complaining so we left.)

We enjoyed our first visit to this restaurant. The salads were fresh and very good. I enjoyed the Greek chicken dish with pasta. Hubs had the Gyro plate and also said it was good. The menu is pretty diverse with a lot of food choices that we hope to return and try. Dessert Case looked amazing, but we didn’t try anything. Our server didn’t bother to clear any plates when we were done with them, and was slow to offer a drink refill. I wasn’t sure the bread was fresh, but I’m happy we tried it out.

Trevor was our server and was great. The salad was not like you would get outside America. The fried cheese (Sagnaki) was not great. A baked feta would have been awesome. The lamb lollipops, on the other hand, we're great, as was the Mixed Combo. The ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful (quiet enough to hold a conversation with your company, but still light music and bustling of servers.) Recommended

Friday night, very popular this evening, reservation recommended. The twin filet mignon was exceptional, covered in mash potatoes, caramelized onions and asparagus. Many homemade desserts to choose to take home if you so desire.

Stopped in for lunch. Lots of vegetarian options in the main menu, a few on the specials. Service was great (Tara), bathrooms were clean. Gypsy Circus Queen of Swords Cider was excellent, Greek red wine was undistinguished. Fried brussel sprouts were very good, the dip was unnecessary. And the lemon pasta was perfect as is...but suggest serving with a lemon wedge for even more lemon pop at the table. Cannoili sampler had three flavors but they all tasted the same, and the shells had been filled too early, thus were soft. Bonus - playing actual Greek music!

Very good food. I will they would bring back their couscous. It was SOOOO delicious. Acropolis if you’re reading this please bring back your couscous!!!

The atmosphere is great even for an Acropolis. They have a bakery where you can but some desserts. The food I ordered was just ok. The options for gluten free is very limited. They have lots of vegetarian options.

For a first time experience, Acropolis was a good choice and may I say the food was good. The overall presentation was on point. The server Paula was very attentive but, when we left her a 5 dollar tip she rolled her eyes and responded "WOW". Not good customer service at all. We started with the lollipop land and that was really good. The girlfriend felt the meat port was a little small but the overall taste was wonderful. I ordered the Mixed Grill and was delighted. The girlfriend ordered the salmon and said it was off seasoned a little. I wouldn't have minded eating here again but based upon the waiter I feel as though my money is not good enough so I will spend it some where else. Thanks anyways.

Food was great. Halfway through our meal our server was cut and sent home. The first server was great, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about the menu. The second one not so much. We asked for the check after saying we didn't want dessert. 10 minutes later she came back by and asked if we wanted dessert again which we reiterated no and that we still needed our check and a to go box. She brought the check several minutes later and took our card. She then vanished for 10 minutes in the back and finally came out when we were about to find a manager so we could get our card leave. She never did bring us a to go box. She did apologize for being busy but there were only 3 tables she was managing and all ready for checks when we asked the first time. If she was that busy then our original waitress never should have been cut and we wouldn't have had to tip 2 different people. Food was excellent. Personally I would just order to go next time because the entire service atmosphere seemed chaotic when the restaurant wasn't even half full at 7p last night

G

My bechamel sauce was still solid when it was served to me. My meal and my partners meal were clearly microwaved and rubbery as well. The place wasn't even busy.

A

Repeat visitor here, but after this last time not likely to return. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but especially as dining out has become so expensive, you should be well taken care of. The service... We arrived early for the dinner crowd, and the place was maybe 1/4 full. We were seated without delay. 10-15 minutes goes by and I had to ask another server where *our* server was because no one had shown up even to take drink orders. Again - several servers mulling about, not busy yet. Finally our server appears. Pleasant, yes, but soooo slow. Every thing we asked for was another 10 minutes. Butter? That'll be another 10 minutes. Condiments? Another 10 minutes. It was ridiculous. It was like this the entire meal. Usually, the food here is good. However, this time I found chicken in my "vegetarian" soup. The server offered to take it off the bill "IF (I) wanted them to..." (insert guilt trip). It shouldn't have been up to me to press for it, it should have been automatic. Finding chicken is a vegetarian dish is unacceptable. While I understand ingredients can sometimes migrate in a busy kitchen, what if it was an allergy and not a dietary preference? Underwhelmed by the whole experience.

Let me 1st say that I have served and that I have never been so dissatisfied with my meal that I sent it back(ever)! I had been wanting to go to Acropolis for over 5 months now. Since my boyfriend and I would both be working on Valentine’s Day. Last night was supposed to be our Valentine’s Day dinner. I ordered a watermelon margarita. Not only was the color off but the worst drink I’ve ever had. It tasted like pineapple and orange juice and it had more alcohol than any of the other ingredients. It was so bitter that my boyfriend finished it. When the server asked me about the drink, I said it’s OK. Again, I don’t like to complain. She asked me if I would like something else but I wasn’t impressed with the first drink. So why would the second drink be any better? We always get the Greek egg rolls they had forgotten the tasty sauce that comes with it. By the time the server brings the sauce the egg rolls were lukewarm. I had been wanting to try their lasagna and I asked the server how it was on your was. Her response was that she had never tried it before but lots of people order the lasagna and it smelled delicious. I should’ve known by her response that I should’ve got something else. The salad not only was it a little lamp and had a bitter taste. Nothing like a normal Caesar salad would taste. The lasagna was even more of a disappointment. I even tried to put some salt on it to give it a little bit more taste. Stouffer‘s makes a better lasagna than I had last night. The entire dinner was a disaster, not only did the drink and food, not meeting the expectations of a five star restaurant. It also caused an uncomfortable situation between my boyfriend and I. He couldn’t enjoy his meal because he was the only one that was eating. Of course they copped my meal, which they should have because I didn’t hardly eat any of it. I was Very surprised that the manager never came by our table to try to understand what happened with our meal. She asked before giving our check to us if we want a dessert. I was already so disgusted and disappointed that I really just wanted to go. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants to go to. Now it is one of my least favorite places to go to. I don’t think we’ll be back.
