Hilda was serving us and she was so polite and nice and she took care of us we come here almst twice a week!!! Thank you Hilda for the great service!!!! We will come here again and again!!!! Great Mexican restaurant
This is a great place to grab a bite at any time of day. We had an incredibly nice server and very quick service!
My favorite place to go to eat some late night Mexican food right near the house. The lady know she’s so awesome. She’s a joy you’ll love her. Great atmosphere grateful the ice cream is so good too. It’s a vibe.
The food here is amazing! We enjoyed every single morsel of everything we ordered. The al pastor is genuine with pineapple in it. The flavors in each dish were perfect. Simply perfect. They do a 3.95% charge if you pay credit, which I think sucks, but I'd still go back. No cocktails here, but the food is the star anyway. Absolutely will return. It's a quaint spot.
Come here after midnight and boy will you have fun! Sure! Here’s a fun and casual Google review you could post: Ended up at Lido Guadalajara in Chicago around 3am and it was wild in the best way. The vibe was chaotic but alive—people dancing, music blasting, definitely not your average late-night food spot. Ordered the birria queso tacos and they hit hard. Super flavorful, cheesy, and exactly what you want when you’re hungry and half-delirious in the middle of the night. If you’re looking for a low-key meal, this ain’t it—but if you want an unforgettable 3am adventure with good food, Lido delivers.
My wife and I keep missing this restaurant, it is on our way home but we just don't stop here. Well, we finally did. The place is clean and when we got there there was just two people, we ordered and the food came fast and then the sky fell, tons of people descended into the restaurant from a concert at the Riviera. It went from a nice, quiet place, to an inferno. It was crazy! But the food was good, my steak tacos and my wife burrito were very good. The only lady there and the cook probably collapse after everyone left.
I think they cater the Americans food taste I bought garlic shrimps and green chicken tamales the tamales were not spicy at all and the shrimps didn’t taste like garlic at all I think this is Mexican food for white people cause I’m Mexican and that not how those dishes taste in Mexico maybe gringos complained that garlic shrimps tasted like strong garlic how they should I’m not buying from there again it’s the only Mexican place that was open on New Year’s Eve in the area
There’s a couple of taquerias in this area, this one stood out because it was on a busy corner clark and lawrence. -The food is average there’s flavors in there just not anything to come back to unless it’s open which it’s open 24/7. I would place it into the drunk food category when you’re looking for something to eat after the night out. Stand out was the bistec I would give that a 4. The carne asada was salty but tasted like overly frozen meat. The sauces were plain. The verde is better than the rojo! Only complaints: no napkins and biggest one that dropped a star is no limes. that’s a deal breaker for me. If you’re in the area looking for tacos i would say go only if you’re not sober. For the prices I would try somewhere else.
Note: I included pictures of the entire menu with my dinner for those who’d like to look at it. I just left Lindo around 2:30AM a bit underwhelmed. I am a big Barbacoa fan since Chipotle introduced me to it and it’s become my first choice. Unfortunately, the Barbacoa here was dry. There wasn’t any juice to carry the flavor of the seasoning so it was fairly bland resulting in me needing to use the salsa to get any kick or enjoyment from the tacos. In addition to the poorly executed barbacoa, the rice was a bit on the soggier side. As for the service, the tables were clean and the staff was prompt and responsive. For a quick authentic bite, I understand the appeal, but tonight, the food missed the mark and was below satisfactory. I hope that if I find myself at this establishment again, they’ll deliver a meal that warrants 5 stars.
We have been eating here since they opened. I have always bragged how good. The food is and the great service. But Dalia the best waitress left. The last three or four visits have been horrible. You can see the receipt below that they charged each of the 4 parties at our table $15. gratuity ea not 15%. We took a church group out on a Sunday afternoon and they charged $60 total in tips for a table of 11. They were supposed to charge the 15% gratuity and if service was good we always add to that. Left name and number for Daniel the owner to call me. Never has. Went back a week later for lunch and I get a long hair to the bottom of my glass. See Pic. Left number again. Week later still no call. I have noticed smaller and smaller crowds when I go by so I guess I'm not the only one. When a manager/owner burys his head in the sand there is no hope for success. Really use to love this place but... Los Ranchos is the best in Crockett
Just walked out about 5 mins ago. Walked in the waitress didn’t acknowledge us. She handed us the menu said have a seat. She was doing something and didn’t say give me a minute I’ll be right with you. In my opinion, whatever you’re doing you should stop what you’re doing to greet the folks INSIDE the restaurant. There was literally no one there. 5-6 mins is WAY too long to not be asked if we at least want some water.
This place is not only a DUMP but the service is WORSE - miserable attitude. I asked to make ONE small no cost change on a single menu item. NO Not even an upcharge for a simple swap for something I didn't want... NO I asked to add guacamole to nachos - $10.95.. HUH? One size guacamole only. I asked for heavy sauce on the burrito. Got the bill... $1.50 for an extra small ladle of sauce on a dry burrito. The woman didn't even speak enough english to under stand my basic question about a menu item... Not surprising since it's a Mexican restaurant, but don't you have english speaking people in there daily ? Either way, it was a horrible experience. This is like the Mexican food Nazi - take it or leave it.. doesn't matter what you want, you take what we give you... and we charge you for doing something RIGHT that should have been done that way to begin with. This is why the place is falling apart, it was totally empty at lunchtime... At least I know to NEVER GO BACK...
I had high hopes for Lindo Mexican Restaurant, but my experience was terrible. The menudo was the biggest letdown it tasted old and stale, completely lacking the rich flavor and warmth you expect from a fresh pot. Instead of the hearty, savory broth menudo is known for, this was bland and almost sour, like it had been sitting for far too long. Service didn’t make up for it either. Nothing about the meal felt fresh or cared for, and it left me wondering if quality and attention to detail matter to them at all. I won’t be back and can’t recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic, flavorful Mexican food.
I can’t say much about the food, but the shake I had was terrible. I only ordered it so I could use the bathroom (which I still wasn’t able to), but serving a paying customer something like that is crazy. It was supposed to be a strawberry shake with cinnamon drizzle, but it tasted more like warm strawberry milk. I’m not sure if the employee made it that way because she knew I was just buying it to use the bathroom, but it really felt like she did it on purpose. That aside, I liked the aesthetic of the place. The music was good, the interior was clean, and the prices were reasonable. I’d probably go back—just not to this location.
The server was the best!!!! We were a party of 5 late last night. Was two out the five that have dined-in before. (It was a hit and miss for me) First impression there are no do over's. Chips that were served were extremely hard to eat. The food that we ordered was also served warm. We still were allowed to sing Happy Birthday to our family members. Had cake at the end. Thank you for your services and for your warm embrace too.
*update* Literally got my food about 30 mins ago, when I was charged I noticed that it was very expensive $45.52 for two burritos, two fries, two small horchatas and a queso fundido. I know that my order was not small but once I took a look at the receipt I was very shocked that the fries were $8.50 and for serving size is little. What really tipped me off the edge was that I looked at their menu and the price tag on the fries is $3.75! The cheese was mixed with the foam and they still decided to hand the food! Owner should be very disappointed.
