I've lived across from this Sonic for over a year now, and I go here more often than I should. The staff is always nice, the food is always good. Not the best, but definitely good. I only had ONE issue, and that was when I got the wrong drink which they quickly replaced. Otherwise a good place to eat for any meal of the day.

This review is for friendly service and really good milkshakes. I rarely eat there because fried foods are a no no for me, but the occasional corn dog I get is always hot and fresh. LOVE the milkshakes.

This particular sonic drive in took good care of me whenever I had ordered an item that they ran out of on the app. Whenever I checked in after arriving, the employee was super friendly and offered me anything on the menu in exchange for running out of the item that I had ordered. Great customer service here too!

I only give this location any praise because of Thalia on the morning shift. She goes out of her way to serve her customers with a smile. Even when she's the only car hop and just about every stall is filled. She deserves a promotion and a raise

There's a m young man there by the name of Augie, He's very respectful and always says GOD BLESS YOU when he brings out my food! I just love hearing that from the younger generation.

Staff are always so pleasant and easy to work with. They may make the occasion mistake in an order, but considering how many orders they have to deal with, I think they should get a little slack. Especially since they readily correct anything brought to their attention.

Good food. Ok prices. Staff was fast and friendly. Gave a tip to our very nice car hop! However, please fix your card machine on sign with menu. We've been to two different Sonics and neither worked correctly.

People should pay attention to what is ordered. I understand that this place gets busy but if your job is to read an order and put that order togeather than do it. It's what you get paid for.

Took 20 min to get one drink made me late for work. I have been here twice and this has happened twice. If you need to be somewhere I don't recommend stopping.Staff was very courtious. Will come again just not on my way to work.

Generally food is great and good. Friendly staff but the French fries are awful. Tasteless need to improve this otherwise a pleasant experience.

Food is good but it is ran by high school kids without adult supervision most of the time. Service was slow and had to repeat order 5 times.

Drive in with my family, food was not a fresh as was expecting. The drinks were good. My tots were not crispy. So much potential with so much let down.

Live near by fast service relative for sonic in general. Food is a good quality at this location. Slight frustration with staff though. Ordered a small milk shake for daughter. They brought out a whole order without it. Asked about it and the server said "it wasn't on your ticket." Looked at the ticket. And the shake was on there. Showed her and she apologized and went inside to get it. When she came out she brought a mini shake. Ugh. Didn't even say anything. Just frustrating. They are fine I guess.

I've had a generally good experience at this Sonic. The location is extremely convenient for me since I live close, however there are usually not a lot of people working during lunchtime, so the wait time goes up that time of day. I have on a few occasions had part of my order missing or messed up, but most of the time it is okay.

The screen didn't work to take your order, so we waited 5 mins for someone to come out and take our order. We wanted to add more to our order, but couldn't bc the button was broken. It was all a 28.00 mess!

We went to two different places to eat tonight… Sonic in China Springs, Tx and McDonalds in China Spring,Tx and the burgers at sonic were really good also the burger was a decent size. McDonald’s on the other hand the “Lil Mac” that was suppose to be a Big Mac looked like a breakfast sausage sandwich with the sandwich closed it looked like there was just pieces of bread. McDonald’s Not sure How you can happily serve this food to customers. Sonic it was a great meal and decent service. McDonald’s I threw your food in the trash. I ordered 2 toasted sandwiches and a small drink. Neither of the sandwiches were toasted, the bread was wet from melted butter. The sandwiches were a lil pricey also. The small drink for 2.09 was smaller than a 12 oz soda and tasted horrible. This was not a good way to start the morning off. The server was nice and they did bring out the food at a decent time though. I just wish I would've noticed the issues before I drove all the way home.

Only ordered 2 drinks & breakfast toaster. Wait time close to 15 minutes. This location wasn't busy at the time of my visit. I STRONGLY suggest a drive thru be added.

It has been two years since I have been and they didn't let me down on bad food and slow service. Use to be one of the best places to eat but that obviously has changed.

It's alright. Don't ask for ketchup. Even if you do, they'll still not give you any and put it on your hamburger. I really dislike how they started putting ketup and mayonnaise on the burgers. I always went to sonic because they only used mustard.

They put cheese on my husband's burger even though we expressly asked them not to. I had an upset stomach that bordered on food poisoning for the rest of the day & the better part of the next.

It took literally 20 minutes to get our order and then the very young young man didn't seem to know what he was doing when he brought out our order. I would not expect that long of a wait, only to get cold food.

The "carhop" well he said he wasn't one. Brought me my food and didn't read my order out to me. Had to ask what was what. I've worked at a sonic and he did not do what carhops are post to do. But the food was great.

Had to hit the button twice to have my order taken, and it wasn't even super busy. I sat there for a long time waiting. The speaker at the station was muffled and hard to hear, and I had to speak very loudly for them to hear me. Food was substandard. This place needs some work.

Hot dogs came out cold, not enough chili ontop. Only saving grace was the mozzarella sticks.

Ordered the new pretzel bacon smash burger only to get a regular bun. We also ordered two wacky packs, got one toy, and only one side out of two. I did not receive the fries with the second wacky pack. I also had to have them go get my mozzarella sticks that they forgot. I also specifically asked for shredded cheese on my order and got one slice. No sauce packets or anything either. Im VERY disappointed.

Sonic is good, but is so slow now compared than it used to be. 25 min for 1 double cheeseburger with fries is ridiculous. No it wasn't at lunch rush. Look at how the burger was out together, and my fries were way overcooked....

Burgers are undercooked, obvious pink in the middle. The mozzarella sticks were still frozen, and the fries were petrified solid. I could use them as chopsticks.

The next time I would like some chili on my Chili Cheese Coney not just cheese. The young lady that served us was nice and polite the rest of the food and drinks good but no chili on our coney's

2nd time now I press the red button, screen says tracking your order, then I wait 5 minutes as I see other cars pull up and order. Had to wave down someone to get help so I can actually place my order.

The best part was listening in other people try to order. The car hop taking orders would read it back wrong every time ! Was very frustrating to get our order wrong after an already lengthy wait!

Cold food and pretty sure it was someone else’s because it came out with a straw wrapper in the French fry box. They did refund us but still a little sus.

Stopped at 9:30pm last night after track meet. Kid told me they couldn't serve anything because they were already cleaning up for closing which is 10pm.

They mess my order up often, but I love Sonic food.. One night, I ordered a GRILLED cheese and they brought me microwaved white bread with half-melted cheese in the middle! When I told the manager, she didn't seem surprised and said that they must have forgotten to grill it. How does one forget to grill a grilled cheese?

Not happy, Order 3 things on their app when I was brought my order one of the things was not there the girl acted like I didn't order it and when I pointed it out that it was on the receipt she went came right back brought me something that was not right once again I left not happy. Check your order before pulling off.

I pulled into a spot and pressed the button. After pressing the button I realized the screen was black so I backed out and went to another spot and pressed the button. When she answered she was angry and asked if I had previously been in spot 5 I told her yes and that the screen was black so I did not know if it was working. She proceeded to lecture me and say how that causes longer wait times when we just push buttons. I then said maybe put up a sign or cone or something and she yelled at me and said they can't do that and what do I want! I told her I didn't think I wanted anything because she seemed mad at me and I didn't want my drinks spit in.

I payed with a ten dollar Bill here and my order was around three bucks and she asked if I wanted change and then got pissy when I laughted and said yes. They do it everytime. They are rude about it. Do you want your 80 cents. I always tip but not when demanded too. I have been a waitess before but these girls make more than 2.15 an hour and just walk to your car. Come on now. Even waitresses dont demand a tip.

This Sonic takes forever to do anything. 10-20 minutes just to start taking your order after pressing the button. If you only ordered a drink, you’re in luck... your wait time would only be half an hour. But if you ordered food I hope you have at least 45 minutes to sit and wait for “fast food”. Save your patience and drive to the 19th st or Bellmead location and you’ll be finished eating by the time CS Sonic answers the red button. And to top it off, the manager doesn’t care about her customers waiting forever. Only good thing about this Sonic is Ms. Beverley. She’s a sweetheart.

The app ruins the visits. Never works and support won't fix it and the store won't honor the app coupons Escalated this multiple times through the links below and still no avail. It's terrible that whomever has the account as the "owner" below has a generic response set for all escalations that go to the "franchise owner" but then never get resolved.

I went to get an All Ametican beef dog with chili.and cheese but they said they couldn't put chili and cheese..thsy only put chili on Coney dogs...the all American comes with ketchup relish and onion. I drove off..won't go back. Went down the block to Griffs, got a way better quality meal for the $$

I've never had a Sonic that messed up my online order until today. They even remade it and still only got it half right. I'm still in shock at this store messing it up out of the thousands of times I've eaten at Sonic.

Without a doubt the absolute worst Sonic ever! I have ordered the same thing five times with only the addition of jalapeños and it has never been executed properly. In addition to this they are the highest priced Sonic I have ever visited. Will never visit this establishment again!

This is the third time we've gotten home with a wrong order. We are a family of 3. We did not need 6 hamburgers & only 1 matched something we ordered. And the food keeps getting worse. Example: the Tater Tots were so over fried; there was nothing but hard crunch all the way through I think we're done with this Sonic.

I bought a $6 small custard shake and had a massive amount of hair in it! The little chickies among other items on their menu tasted like they over cooked it in the microwave. Yuuk

Ordered 2 XL Cheese Steak sandwiches with extra grilled onions. What I got was terrible! One sandwich was dry and had no onions. The other had about 2/3s with meal, no onions, no cheese and very dry meat. I was soooooo disappointed.

My food was warm but not cooked server argued with me about it too, never had this issue at a sonic but it’s happened a couple times here, when I place a mobile order it’s never ready but staff checks is as done immediately after I check in.

Absolutely worst "fast food" experience ever. First, the order station I pulled into did not work. I looked around and several were out of order or had blue screens flashing. I ordered the limited time offer of a grilled cheese burger, whereas I was told they did not have CHEESE!!! How can you not have cheese when there's a dollar store across the street. So I ordered a hamburger with no lettuce because they were also out of that, where I was then charged for a cheeseburger. I think they forgot me because it took almost 25 minutes to get the hamburger. The carhop was sweet and super apologetic but I will never go back to this Sonic. The burger was very dry and flavorless.

The 2 days I have come up here have been awful! I ordered a frito pie and small ocean water. Once food arrived no straw no biggie. I let them know I did not get a straw. I waited almost 30 min for a straw. I requested my money back and gave them back the drink. Today I ordered a large frito pie and 3 small drinks 2 being with nerds. Order was halfway wrong! 2 of the drinks were leaking and there were no nerds. Drinks came back to me leaking and an order of fries was added to my order which I did not order. They read it back to correct not sure how that even happens. Goodness gracious ridiculous!

This continues to be the worst Sonic. Prior to moving close to this Sonic, I’ve always loved them, and was a frequent customer. But not this location. Ive been to this location several times, and not once has it been good. I swear they make the food ahead of time, then throw it back into the grease to warm it up once you order it. And sometimes the wait is horribly long, despite them not being busy. What the heck is going on here? Poor management? I don’t know. But it’s a shame that it hasn’t gotten any better in at least 18 months now.

This by far the worst Sonic in Central TX. Unfortunately they are close by and up until this past weekend we endured their lack of customer service. We went in because the kiddo picks Saturday lunch. The order came out nothing close to what we ordered. The speaker staff is rude and will interupt you repeatedly. The car porter is good at his job and seems to be very accustomed to putting out fires caused by the inside staff. By Saturday night my kid and wife had puked and it hit me mid sleep. I will drive wherever else before I ever order at this place again.

Slowest sonic ever we got here at 9 pm and it’s now 9:40 and we still haven’t gotten our food. I understand they close at 10:00 but your still open and you still have customers do your job. There has been several employees walking over to dominoes and hanging out at the drive through instead of working too . Just horrible service ! Just got order and our shakes are watery the cheese fries are soggy and the coney is hard like it has just been sitting there. Very disappointed

Worst Sonic ever! I don’t know who the guy was that was taking the order but he was under qualified for the task! Fries looked and tasted like last weeks fresh batch. If every meal you crank out is like this one then you should board up the window lock the doors and never fire up this grill or any other grill ever again!!!

6/24/17 at 6:06 pm...You will not believe this!!! I ordered a burger all the way with extra onions. 1st time; what I got was a burger that only had meat and two tomatoes. I asked the hop if they could add what I ordered or remake it. The hop was nice about it and I don't think he did anything wrong or was in on the joke. 2rd time. Hop said, this should be correct. I check it and this burger had all vegs. but NO MEAT! (Yes no meat) At this point I just said I want my money back. The GM "or she said she was" that gave me the refund ticket, Said it must have gotten mixed up the a order that was called in for no meat. "yeah right".... This is the last time I will eat here. I think its only kids and they like to joke around. This place need more supervision and/or training because WOW it's getting bad.

I don’t know if the cooks were high or purposely messing up my order. I went there tonight after work and order 2 meals. They literally gave me the opposite of everything I asked for. I asked for large sides with medium drinks and the gave me large drinks with small sides. I asked for one sandwich regular the other plain and they did the opposite there too. It’s seems a little coincidental to be an accident.

They can never get the order right or they won’t bring everything you order. They don’t make exactly what you order and it’s always half assed put together.

I am not a rude person by nature. Was there today at 1pm. First spot I pulled into the screen wasn't working, but had 2 employees walk by and never even mention it. How hard is it to put an out of order sign on it? Drove around to the other side and pressed the button where the screen tells you someone will be with you in a moment. 5 minutes later...I press again. A truck pulls up next to me, presses the button and immediately gets a response. Once again I push mine. Finally a voice says "your order?" I stated I had been waiting 5 minutes expecting an "I apologize for that, what would you like to order?" But the response I got? Ready for this? "You wanna order or not." I said Not and left. So thank you for allowing McDonald's to take my $34!

The tots were thrown in the bag upside down, it took longer than it should, then when I go to eat the burger, there were multiple hairs on it.

Waited 15 mins after hitting red button then they answered after saying what I wanted to drink they put me on another hold of 5 mins then food was another 15 mins not a very well ran store at all wont stop here again.!

Well, I just returned to the US (China Spring) from a 13 month deployment. Sonic updated the restaurant in my absence, but the food hasn't improved, sadly. Consistently cold food and stale, chewy fries and cheddar peppers. I know as soon as I put my hand in the bag when they hand it to me, it's the same cold nastiness. $39 for "food" that had probably been sitting around on a cold counter for awhile before bagging and disposing to the customer. Maybe I'll try again in 2 more years, but I don't anticipate any change for the better.

You cannot order the same thing and expect it to be consistently the same. You never know what you’re going to get. On day you order a blast with extra candy and you pay for the extra; you get the extra candy and you are a happy camper. The next day you order same thing. No candy in bottom of the blast, hardly any candy in the ice cream and just a little on top. Oh and the ice cream doesn’t even go to the top of the cup. We have started making our own.

It's the third time I've ordered a burger from here that was cold, dry, and had obviously been sitting around for hours before they used it on my order. I know you're busy and wanna save time by making a bunch of patties in the morning and using them as the day goes on but damn.

Awful, just awful. We've tried this Sonic about 10 times and have always had our order wrong. I literally just went there today to get drinks and they still got them wrong. It was only 4 simple drinks. The staff is super immature and has their friends hanging out and riding around honking horns and playing games. I know they're probably in high school but it's a place of business and they should not be acting like that. We won't be back. Definitely the worst we've ever been to.

This sonic refuses to make the food the way you ask. Every single time we go in and ask for no cheese or no pickles or no tomatoes. Guess what? They seem to add double cheese pickles and tomatoes. It been this way for a long time. The cheese is really nasty here and the tator tots are always way undercooked. Really sucks because we have to go into waco to find a sonic that will make it correctly if we want sonic. I tried the phone app today and same thing. Sad because I did like sonic. Whataburger is better anyway and they almost always do it how you ask. Update 1-25-26 Went to get the $6.00 special today and they charged me full price. Double what the special is but at least after begging them not to put cheese on it,they got that part correct. Hurray

Went on the 15th after ordering in the app, took about 15-20 mins for the food which is fine they were busy but when they brought out the food I was told the ice cream machine was out which all I wanted was a refund. The kid said he did it but it is the 19th now and still have not received my money back.

This is the worst Sonic. It took over 20 minutes to get our food and it was wearing. Went a second time just for drinks with just 2 cars there and after waiting 5 minutes with no one answering the red button we left.

Haven’t been here in about 6 months due to the poor service & low quality food. Decided to try it last night since they remodeled & added a drive thru, hoping things improved. Now it’s even worse. There was no one else in the drive thru but it took them around 10 min to be ready to take our order! Food took awhile to be delivered and they completely messed up the order. Gave us a strawberry shake instead of chocolate. Foot long coney instead of regular. Half-filled large popcorn chicken instead of the medium we ordered (so we were charged more for these things since they incorrectly entered the order). Didn’t give us any of the sauces we asked for. Won’t be going back to this location.

Went through the car stall to order a cranberry limeade slush and a Barqs root beer with vanilla to wait over 10 minutes and then be told the slush machine was down. Left without drinks and requested a refund we probably will never see.

Living in China Spring there aren't too many fast food options. I try to give the benefit of the doubt with places being short staffed but I am disappointed EVERY single time I have visited this location. It doesn't matter what time of day you go. My order has NEVER been correct. They put condiments on things that don't even have those condiments on them, they leave off things you pay extra for, and the food isn't ever hot. It's ridiculous! When you make a mistake, no big deal it happens, but when you make the same mistakes every single time, you obviously don't care and are choosing to suck. Do better Sonic!!
