Most amazing fresh delicious delightful appetizing tastebud-crushing baked treats you'll ever find!! Milk toast! Omg and the garlic bread !! Crazy flavor. Also got a iced milk tea it was just as great! Location is really nice. It is inside of a huge shopping center and is not too crowded but I'm sure they can get a little pack because it's such a popular bakery! This has to be the most organized and clean looking business of any sort I've ever been inside of. I enjoy the whole experience from the front door to the register and appreciate the effort put into these fine baked goods! I will definitely be back every chance I get believe me my kids love these snacks.
Tell me why thus heaven in the hills! If you want some great tasting sweets. This is the place to go amazing cakes and bakery items. Friendly staff. Stays pretty busy in year, but I see why! Yummy yummy
Tasty bakery items for reasonable prices. Maintains good hygiene. Calm and quiet and Clean. Love this place.
I had a great experience on a weekday afternoon here. Some of the labels were missing so I had to ask around or guess what the breads were, but otherwise, the employees were super nice and helpful. The boroh danish cream, red bean bread and taro puff pastries are some of our favorite sweet buns.
Cool Taiwanese franchise bakery that’s made its way to California. The buns are decent, fresh, and the place seems to always be busy. Their cookies are okay, I probably should have tried another flavour. A couple of notes, not all the baked goods are labeled and many sell out during the day. Overall, a bit expensive but good to try for the experience.
First 85 Degrees store that had everything I can possibly look for. Especially the hard to find pork sung bread. Place is well stocked. Service was great and prompt. Bakery items were consistent and well marked. The area is being remodeled so so be aware of the construction and barriers in place.
After my Thanksgiving morning activities with the XtraKredit Feed The IE project, I needed to get a gift for my mom, and I know one of her favorite cafes is this spot, 85C Bakery Cafe that is near her work at the Kaiser Lab. I was surprised to find that they were not that busy and I was able to walk into the bakery cafe that had no crowd. I managed to get a snack for myself and purchased 2 $20 gift cards that I would give to my mom, as her birthday gift, and I kept the 2 limited-edition mugs. The way I write reviews is that I evaluate businesses based on “the experience,” “the safety,” and “the people.” The experience was awesome in that the set up of the cafe is pretty open and there is a clear direction of where things are and a clear presentation of the products in front of me. The safety measures were in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic since there was an “in” door and an “out” door to prevent cross-traffic, as well as readily available hand sanitizer. The people, especially the Supervisor-on-Duty Ryan, promoted a positive energy in which they handled guests with a consistent “vibe” is what I say. Before taking any of the photos I posted, I asked permission from Ryan the Supervisor, and he was all for it. Thank you to the 85C Bakery Cafe team for allowing me not only to purchase a gift for my mom but also to take photos that are really worth a 1000 words and I just want to write a few 100 of them. - R•O•N
This is my favorite location. It's very spacious, selection is great and the staff is amazing. They are constantly bringing out fresh bread. There is enough tables for you to sit down, enjoy the bread/cakes without feeling the pressure that you need to hurry up because someone else is waiting for tables. My go to bread is the taro puff pastry and jasmine tea with sea salt. I recently discovered the multigrain sliced bread and it's amazing for avocado toast. SO DELICIOUS!!!! I highly recommend this bakery if you are looking for great cakes, fresh bread and amazing teas.
This has happened several times — I ordered no-sugar milk tea, yet they still gave me the regular 100% sugar version. I didn’t want to make a fuss about their oversight, because after all, they’re sometimes really busy too. But today, once again, they added sugar to my no-sugar milk tea by mistake. When I asked them about it, they kept arguing that “it already has a natural sweetness.” I had to kindly suggest that they taste it themselves to check. Only then did they remake the drink without sugar.
This is one of the bigger 85 C bakeries I have visited. As with other 85 C, clean trays are provided so you can choose your pastries and bread. It has been a while since I’ve been to one but I always get the chocolate cookie bread and chocolate buns. This time I tried the strawberry cream square. So cute with strawberry slice topping. It was light and not too sweet. There was a long line but it went pretty quickly. The place was clean, the breads and pastries arranged neatly. It’s self-service so the most interaction with the staff is when paying. I didn’t get my loot in a box, but I know it can be requested.
I just don't understand why this place doesn't provide plates for indoor eating. They seem to be fine with people eating off the table and making a mess everywhere. It's really ridiculous.
We haven’t been here since it first opened years ago. The baked goods were indeed fresh, just weren’t that tasty. We also tried a slice of its cheesecake, and it also wasn’t that good. The large sitting area was full of young people doing their homework, but the outdoor space was available for us to enjoy.
August 2025. This review is for mobile order drinks. I have no issues regarding breads/cakes/seasonal items. My main issue regarding mobile order drinks is the system and apparently having to check into the front before they start making drinks. In my experience with mobile orders and payment in any other establishments… once you order and pay via app/telephone… the order will be printed out to the pos system to be made. The only reason why businesses would only make patrons to check into the front before making orders is due to patrons not paying before hand. For example, checking into the front for mobile orders because the patron wanted to pay with cash vs credit card. However, I did pay via credit card ahead of time so there should’ve been no need to check into the front and therefore bypass that step. I waited a total of 25 mins during this whole ordeal (ordered via app at 11:42a said drinks will be ready before noon, bought bread in the front at 11:48a). After mobile order I waited at the drink station because I saw the girl barista make two drinks that I believed were mine… however when she finished she walked the drinks to the back kitchen. i really wished she had some sense of awareness why someone would wait for so long and other drinks were flying by but my order wasn’t ready???? I spoke up and asked about my mobile order status around 11:58a. All she said was “you need to go to the front because the system needs to process it”. LIKE WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! (After, I think she meant… in better wording… you need to check in the front cash register for mobile order drinks. After checking in, a sticker will be printed for the drink bar to make your drink). WHY CANNOT SHE JUST SAY THAT. I swear… these employees need to be trained better and speak/choose correct wording to not confuse customers. Unfortunately, this is chino hills local talent working here. The statement “the system needs to process” my mobile order and no explanation what that means when asked again for clarification when it’s not crowded was absolutely rude and disrespectful. Please train employees to speak better and be clear. Have proper signage that mobile orders pls check in here before waiting at drink bar. WOULD BE EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND NOT TIME CONSUMING. Received my drink by 12:07p for two medium iced sea salt coffees
I stopped by the 85°C in Chino Hills to look at cakes a few minutes past 9:00 PM. Didn't realize the time and there were people outside. Since the front door was open, I walked in. Instead of a polite "Sorry, we’re closed," the staff immediately snapped at me to leave. I apologized for the mix-up, but they just kept repeating "we are closed." It felt like a clear lack of training on how to handle the situation. A simple, professional, "I'm sorry, we're actually closed, but please come see us tomorrow" would have been perfectly fine. They could really use some help with customer service and basic courtesy.
Every employee here was rude. I even paid my own money, but after this experience, I will never come back to this place again. I only checked out some bread and picked up a coffee, yet their tone, attitude, and behavior were all unfriendly. It was a very unpleasant experience.
My daughter ordered an ube cake for mothers’s day tomorrows only to realize she was given the wrong cake (strawberry). She was disappointed as you can imagine. My favorite is ube and she does not want to go back for she was in a long line for a long time to pick up her pre- ordered cake this morning.
This location needs a more skilled baker. The food on the shelf always looks worse compared to the Rowland Heights location. The chocolate buns are always smaller size, and the egg tarts are badly burned. Honestly, if your product reaches this level of quality, please don’t sell it. I really wanted to question the management, would you serve these burned egg tarts to your own family? Treat your customers with the same care as your family, that’s how you grow your business. $4 for burned baked goods? I’ll pass.
