Since 1917, this place has been characterized by its tradition, service, flavor, and love for bullfighting. Many celebrities, intellectuals, politicians, and illustrious figures have been able to delight their palates with their dishes. This new place doesn't hold all the history they had in the Historic Center, but due to crime and abuse in our country, they had to leave their old location and move to this new address. The good thing is that the flavor and service haven't changed. We've been visiting them for a long time and always leave very satisfied. The owners are always attentive, and the atmosphere is like being at home. Chiles en nogada are in season, and if you like them, you must try them; they're delicious. Without a doubt, and now that they're closer to our home in Mexico City, this will always be our go-to. Everything is truly delicious. 😋 Oh! And if you like it, they sell a book with the history and many beautiful photographs worth treasuring.

For a year I wanted to go to Taquito Taurino in the center, but I was unable to get there, now that they are in the south of Mexico City I am the happiest, excellent food, the service is first class, I will definitely return

This traditional restaurant preserves the good taste of its old location in the historic center of Mexico City. The complete experience was in that old house filled with photos of famous visitors. A new direction, far from the hustle and bustle of street vendors, with that touch of memory. The food was well-served, characteristic of the place with its good seasoning. The service was fast, warm, and friendly. The music was livened up by "Los Ajolotes" Tuna UACM. A very pleasant visit to this place, after many years.

Many years ago I used to go to their old location downtown, but because it was so difficult to get there due to the traffic and the crowds in that area, I stopped going. Fortunately, they opened this new location where you can eat simple, well-made Mexican food. It's not spectacular, but it does provide a good experience.

A place steeped in history, a mix of a bullfighting venue and other public figures not necessarily connected to it. As for the food, we recommend the tongue tacos, which are exquisite and perfectly prepared. The borrados are on the same level. The tostada de pata is delicious, and something we loved was the truly exquisite natilla and café de olla. The prices aren't that expensive; we had a tostada de pata, a house meat jus with shrimp, two orders, one of tongue tacos, another of tacos in borracha sauce, a natilla, a coffee, and a michelada and a paloma beer. All in all, it came to approximately $800.

This is one of this places that you need como and see with your own eyes, the experience is great, is a great picture of what is like eating in Mexico City outside is the street market people yelling and trying to sell everything they can, but when you access to the first floor, this a whole different world, access here is like access to a time that only can be found trough the pictures in the wall, the are very famous, the pictures in the wall with a lot of artist can tell this story better than me. Now the food, this sopa de fideo is just like another soup, but the small difference is this taste just like the my grandma just to do The tacos de lengua, this is just the best dish for me. So if you have a chance to come here, don’t hesitate the experience will be great. And after you are done eating you can walk to the zocalo!

We came late in the day but still received a warm welcome. The server was patient as we figured out the menu with our little knowledge of Spanish. We had the fried intestines (very crispy!), pozole, and garlic shrimp. Everything we had was delicious. Wish we had been hungry enough for a larger meal.

Yo crecí en una familia amante de los toros. Entrar a este restaurante de ambiente teurino, con pisos u techos de madera en la calle del Carmen me recordó mi infancia. Me pusieron música mexicana y pasodobles muy sentidos y comí un rico, no delicioso, pozole, como mi familia acostumbra a hacer en este día. Dado que mi madre lo reparaba delicioso soy exigente. El grano de maíz lo compraron descabezado y no "revienta" lo suficiente. Eso le da mucho sabor al platillo. La carne, maciza cortada en cuadritos perfectos, es para niños bien. Los precios son un poco altos, lo cual se entiende por la belleza del lugar y la excelencia en el servicio que, debo decir, fue de primera. De repente no fueron cuidadosos con la concentración de personas sin cubrebocas. En contraste, hay mesas en ventanales muy bien ventilados. Sin ser perfecto es muuuuy recomendable. La sábila dice que hay muy buena vibra.

Place looks upscale, but food is not all that

Falta limpieza de ve que no han sacudido desde hace muchos meses. La comida ya no es lo que era, los famosos taquitos de carnitas estaban malos con un guacamoles refrigerado y oxidado. No lo recomiendo ojalá los encargados lean esto y sacudan el polvo. Los meseros te exigen la propina sobre todo un señor que nos atendió.

Pedí un caldo Tlalpeño ,estaba salado, mi esposo pidió machitos . La verdad no me gusto ni la comida ni el hambiente demasiado pesado y el grupo en vivo pasando por las mesas a pedir dinero cuando u o está comiendo me parece de muy mal gusto. Yo no vuelvo a ir
