I initially became impatient with slow wait staff. When the manager walked by to check on our table I express my frustration. She immediately took action and corrected the situation; so much so that it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable evenings we’ve recently had out as a family. In a culture where customer service seems to be lost, Millie sets the bar high! The food was great, the atmosphere relaxing; an overall great evening.

Krystal is the best! We know if she is tending to the bar that we are going to get great service. She always goes above and beyond for her customers. We love our Applebee's!

Loved it. Just went Dec. 2025 and they still offer smoking at the bar. Not a smoker myself, but found it very nostalgic. The air purifiers kept the restaurant nice and pleasant. The menu is incredible and the happy hour is unbeatable. Favorite restaurant in Cleburne.

This was our first Veterans Day with our our friends or family around since we just moved to Cleburne. Marshal, our server, was excellent! He made sure we had more than we needed and despite being so busy, he was very accommodating with our questions and had a great attitude! I’ve been coming to Applebee’s for years, but Sunday night felt like sticker shock in disguise. A $10 glass of red wine, an $8 Dracula drink, $4 for a root beer, and a $15 appetizer — for a total of $40 before tip — in a half-empty restaurant. In this economy, you can’t charge Highland Park Dallas prices and give strip-mall energy. People are struggling out here, and it shows when your tables are empty. Maybe rethink the menu pricing and bring back the value that made Applebee’s what it used to be — friendly, fair, and fun. I understand restaurants and shops are struggling too — the economy is hard on everyone. But when prices rise and service drops, it punishes loyal customers instead of building community. We want to support local businesses, but not feel like we’re being taken advantage of just for trying to enjoy a meal. Let’s bring fairness and value back to the table. WOW! That response from the "Owner" sounds more like a bot!!

The Shark Bowl drink is now my favorite. I drank every last drop. Delicious! 😋🍹 The food quality here is good and they always have money saving deals. I got the salmon the last time I went in and it was cooked great and very flavorful. I absolutely love their chips and salsa and would stop by just for that and a drink! Broccoli and potatoes were great consistency and flavor. The Ceasar salad just needs more green Romaine lettuce but without it was still fresh and dressing very tasty. This is a great place for lunch or dinner, or even just to chill with friends and family. Wait and Host staff are usually quite friendly and attentive.

Waitress, food, atmosphere were all good....bartender (nathan) wasn't so good. He didn't care about anyone who wasn't sitting AT the bar. I ordered one last beer before we left...it took so long that we said F it and left. The entire time I was watching him clear plates, make later placed drinks, stand around etc. He cost our Waitress an extra cash tip.

Our waitress was very attentive and our food was great. I only gave 4 stars simply because the smoking kinda kills the atmosphere. I'm an ex-smoker and it doesn't necessarily bother me but I can see how it can be a turn off for many.

We ordered the 2 for 25 steak. Mine was perfect but my sister's was so tough that she couldn't even stick a fork in it and cutting it was impossible. We eat there often and have never had a problem.. we told our waitress and she immediately ordered another steak which was very good. So I'm not complaining, we got our food and enjoyed it very much. We will be back.

Called in order after trying 3 times to place order online. Ordered the Whole Lotta Bacon Burger, requested the bacon be extra crispy picked it up got home and there was none of the sauce that's supposed to be with it and the bacon was anything but crispy. Called up there had to go back and get the sauce. Burgers were good other than the bacon not being crispy.

We were in town with our grown kids for Thanksgiving and after all the turkey, etc, decided to place an order to go. We ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger, Classic Cheeseburger, Prime Rib Dipper, Grilled Chicken Sandwich and queso and chips. The burgers could have used a little more seasoning. I wished they allowed you to add things like jalapeños to the burgers. But, overall, it was all good and we would definitely recommend.

Smoking is allowed at the bar. Cigars aren't allowed. The bar area gets loud. Food was alright. Boneless chicken wings were hard. Friendly wait staff. If you don't smoke or drink alcohol. This place isn't for you. We liked the prices and amount of food we received.

If you're lucky, it will be a night that the crowd at the bar is behaving and not screaming at each other from opposite sides of the bar. The food is generally pretty good though the last time we went my grilled chicken was really tough- I felt like I was sawing mine (while I was watching my husband almost cutting his with a fork) and when I was eating it, it had a weird texture and was crunchy. I couldn't finish it and then started freaking out because I was worried if it was cooked enough. They took care of it but I still was disappointed in the visit. Our waitress was awesome though!

Service was very lacking. One person received their food 30 minutes late. Server said "Uh they must have messed up" I'm all about human mistakes but the attitude and lack of attention of the staff was reason enough to never return to this location. Drinks were late and never refilled. We paid in full. Tipped 25%. Seemed like our server was defeated and had given up.

So, I come here pretty often because it is one of the only places that doesn't have a drive thru that are on my route home. Typically, I enjoy my visits very much (so keep that in mind, this is NOT an attempt to Bash this place OR their food) having said that, tonight I came in at 7:40pm. As soon as I walked in (myself and my 2 children, both under the age of 12y) there were 3 young ladies at the podium and I said "hi, 3 please". 1 of them told me that it'll be a 30-40min wait because they are short staffed right now. I asked if we could wait at a table and she replied "I'll have to ask my manager" i thanked her and then we had a seat on the long sofa at the front to wait. She proceeded to talk with the other 2 girls that were there initially, then made conversation here and there with a few servers. I was patiently waiting but even my daughter (10yr) said " mommy, she isn't even asking her manager" and for her to say something when she's typically very passive, it was blatant. I was here last week and there was 1 server here (didn't catch his name)running each table like a boss in beast mode and I made sure that he knew that i impressed. (I have a long history as a server in the food industry myself). There are clearly available tables and NO ONE appears to be overwhelmed or frantic at all. We are the only ones sitting here waiting and I work my tail off every day (im a carrier with usps), i haven't eaten today, im starving and I chose this place to spend my hard earned dollar at. I. Don't. Appreciate it. As someone who was a server or many years and then a hostess for a few years following, it costs $0 to give someone a smile and be courteous and explain with a bit more humility that the circumstances are as they are at them moment, and add some gratitude in there for the fact that we chose this establishment. I mean, after all, we are patrons and are the reason you get a paycheck. It only got worse from there FYI. And whoever sent that generic response should find an alternative profession.

If you like being in a smoke filled room while eating it's the place for you. But there are so many places nowadays that are non-smoking I was not prepared for it.

The food was good, but the portion sizes are diminished which is happening everywhere. Our server was very attentive and courteous. My biggest problem is that everytime I go there it smells like a very stale bar. The floor was very dirty, had to walk through food on the floor to get to our table so the person who seated us had to have seen it. I'm not a drinker or smoker but would like to enjoy the food. Guess I will have to find another restaurant.... I keep going back hoping for better but have been disappointed 3 times now.

Had the bourbon chicken and shrimp, it was really good, though a bit small for the price. No broccoli today which was disappointing but the green beans were good. They just have a 30.06 posted on the door, but no 30.05 or 30.07. the only people that pay attention to signage is law abiding people, so will likely take Applebee's off the rotation.

The food taste like the grill is covered in gas and hasn't been cleaned in months. The waiters are pretty nice, but I just wouldn't recommend it. I don't think it's a problem with the staff, but more the management. Also, the whole place is centered around the smoking section, and it's all pretty open. If you can't handle a little smokey smell, this place isn't for you.

My husband's food was right but mine wasn't and it took so long they ended up having to make it to go. I ordered a 8oz stake and when I got home it was more like 3oz and I actually paid more to get a 8oz yes when I got home and noticed it was so small I got out the kitchen scale. The waitress acted lost and took forever to get refills on drinks.

When we walked in, we were hit by the strong odor of cigarette smoke. Once we were seated, our server was quick to take our drink order which arrived in a reasonable amount of time. 20 minutes after placing our food order, I looked around and noticed that only 1 table of about 20 actually had food and was eating. 25 minutes later our food finally arrived. My food was cold so I placed another order. The next order arrived quicker than the first but was still just as unappetizing. I do not like giving poor reviews but this was a very disappointing experience.

Today we were passing through and decided to have dinner. As we came in there was no hostess….only the very powerful smell of cigarette smoke (like the kind at a bar from the 1980’s). There were literally clouds of smoke. It took someone awhile to finally seat us. The food was ok. Just ok. The server was very sweet but customers do like spoons with soup. Before leaving we made a trip to the restroom. The stinch of raw sewage was incredible. It was appalling. I haven’t been to an Applebee’s in awhile. I sure hope this is not wha they all have come to. As far as food goes it seemed as good as it's always been. But now the drinks are ridiculous. I ordered a "Shark Bowl" which didn't have any gummy shark in it and little if any alcohol at all. Add the price to what's pretty much a kid friendly beverage which it's not supposed to be and I will never order drinks there again. The food looked delicious and the service from our waiter was amazing but not a fan anymore and would recommend anywhere else for the drinks.

We love Applebee's ❤️ They need more workers always short-handed, and they still do a good job !! Update!! Went to tonight to eat and was very shocked to see a huge pit bull mix eating off the plates and off the forks and drinking out of the cups. Making a huge mess all over the floor. No, he was not a service dog. The man told us they didn't want to leave him in the car. He also snapped at one of the waiters. The dog was very smelly. I did not think this was appropriate at all. So does this mean we can all bring our dogs in to eat off all the plates and forks and drink from cups and make huge messes on the floor. I have a few cattle dogs that would love to do this. As the waitress was bringing us our food, she stopped to talk to that table, and the dog was trying to lick the bottom of our plates. The man had to pull him back. I'm not happy at all with this.

We ordered and our salads came. We were almost through the salad and had to ask for the water we had ordered. I should know better than to gets salad because as usual it had a lot of brown lettuce ( see photo). My husband asked for mustard on the side when he ordered but the food came and no mustard. So he had to wait and ask again. Never got a refill on water.

This place smells like a damn ashtray! I can’t believe that the Applebees corporate office still allows smoking in their restaurant. I don’t care if it’s also a bar. If you need a cigarette that damn bad you have a problem! GO OUTSIDE! If my wife wasn’t hangry, we wouldn’t have stayed. Came from out of town for a little shopping. Ended up at Applebees (haven’t been in years)….wish we had went somewhere else. Ordered chicken Parm and Classic Combo. Chips tasted like old oil, everything was lukewarm….dry pasta….it all tasted below average. Service was fine….smelled like an ashtray. Won’t be back!

Brought my cousin, his wife and my brother. It was a Disaster. Orderd 2 chicken ranch bacon sandwichs. Steak well done and 2 onion rings. 1st the chicken ranch sandwich was nasty, NO FLAVOR OR TASTE, no ranch on mine. my cousin ordered his well done with Xtra bacon with an onion ring. Came with 4 small onion rings, not well done and with 2 pieces of bacon. My brothers steak was red and Not well done and 4 bigger onion rings. The ranch dressing tasted like watered down sour cream. Not ranch at all. The manager came to our table and said she would take the stuff off. Chicken sandwich and steak. This place really needs to get their sewer problem fixed. You can't go in the women's bathroom. The smell of raw sewage is overwhelming. The bathroom was clean, but you could see and smell the sewage in the floor drains. I would have never eaten there if I had visited the bathroom first. Unacceptable, in my opinion.

My first time at this Applebee's after a long road trip. You're going to get second hand lung cancer hear from the amount of cigarette smoke. I found the restaurant on the way, nothing opens the door, strong smell of cigarettes inside the restaurant, when we sat down at least, I can't tolerate the strong smell of cigarettes. We got the 2 for 25. Asking which entrees were included. She said the 3 options on the picture. We both ordered 1 of each. Garlic butter on the steak was in the picture. And mashed potatoes. My husband asked if he had to have mashed potatoes and she said no, he could have what ever kind of potato’s he wanted. So he ordered waffle fries with his. So, when the bill came, they had charged 3.49 for the waffle fries and 1.99 twice for each of the garlic butter. I asked why. The manager came out and said he was sorry and tried to make up for it by giving us 2 cards for free appetizers on our next visit with the purchase of an entree. On our way home, I realized the cards were expired as of 2024. WHAT A JOKE.

My order was processed and paid for at 730 ish and pick up time would be 750. So far so good...I pull up in spaces assigned for car side to go, the sign directly in front of me reads ( car side to go pick up call # ) so I called, gave them my name and was told " someone would be right out." So I wait....and wait....and wait some more! As I wait I see delivery drivers come and go. I decide to call again this time I was calling from the app (thinking that might make a difference) again I gave them my name and was told my food would be right out. So I wait, If this would have happened any other day I would have went inside long time ago. However the reason I ordered car side to go, was due to me not feeling well. However, I gave up at 845pm and I went inside. Once inside they asked for my name, turned and went to wherever they hold food for pick up.and returned with my order immediately. So I ask why this wasn't brought out to me. She responds with you need to call the number on the sign as you pull up. Oh but I did call the number, I actually called the number twice. Did you talk to somebody when you called? She asked. Yes! I did, both times! Well who did you talk to? I've been here all night and I haven't talked to you! I got my order then stated ... this has probably been sitting under the heat lamp since 7:50pm with it now being 9pm so over an hour. I'm sure my Ice cream is melted and my food will be less than appetizing.Thanks!! as I'm leaving she asked, so I guess you want to talk to the manager... I DECLINED...AT THIS POINT I FELT LIKE I WAS BEATING A DEAD HORSE!! The customer service was either ignoring me or being extremely rude. Very disappointing visit . I was correct about my food and ice cream it was gross and melted. ( Do Better) In situations like these great customer service makes a difference...between giving a bad review, (like this) or choosing NOT to leave a review at all, just letting it go! and giving them another chance to (Do Better) later! Walking in the door the smell of cigarette smoke was over powering. I can see why the parking lot was empty except for the people smoking.

This place is non kid friendly, or anyone sensitive to bad language. The cigarette smoke is overwhelming if you have a lung condition do not enter. Seemed like they cater to drunken folks only. The food was cold and they never brought the bread with the pasta. I was never asked if I needed anything or if I liked another drink.

Very disappointed with this establishment! We walked in at 8:30 pm, stood at the hostess stand until finally the bartender acknowledged us. She told us we could sit wherever we like so we picked a table in the bar area. Nobody ever greeted us other than that, we saw the bartender along with 2 other servers. One server was walking around eating, the other was just standing around talking to the bartender. After watching this and still never approached at the table we decided to leave. I don’t believe we will be returning to this Applebee's. I understand if you’re short staffed, but common courtesy would’ve been to at least acknowledge the customer and let them know you will be with them as soon as you can. However, the behavior of the employees was completely rude and uncalled for. If allowed I would rate the service negative at best!!

Don't buy the cheetos cheese bites. They are not like the picture. My order was made with stale cheetos. Went back and talked to the manager and asked for a refund. She said there was no way she could reimburse me my money and offered another appetizer. I did not want another appetizer and asked for my money back eventhough she said it was not possible I demanded my money. She went back and brought me my money, she gave me 9 dollars and I had paid more than 10, she can keep the rest as her 2 cent tip. Stay away from this place, the one in Burleson is a better.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Our waitress was great food was fine. All of a sudden we started smelling cigarettes I have no clue where it was coming from. I look over at the bar and there’s about 3 people smoking cigarettes INDOORS!! they allowed us to bring our 2 year old in without even warning us!! My mom has nodules on her lungs also we’re never made aware this was a smoking premise. I’m pro freedom so if the restaurant allows that ok, but my freedom to be free of second hand smoke w my 2 year old was taken from me. There was not a single warning given to us or listed on the door before entering. We got our check and got out as soon as we realized.

I purchased the double rib plate with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes all the food was cold .We waited over 35 minutes for our food to get it cold is sad.I usually don't complain but this is awful. My husband ordered a steak medium well and he got it medium rare.The service here sucks.we haven't seen the waitress but one time since we been here.I don't recommend this place it's a waste of your money and it's not even busy in here it's Mother's Day and they are dead that's the bad part about it

I really enjoy eating here after my home depot shift. My name is Eric and I come here often. You can see me eating alone and i really enjoy eating mac and cheese and chicken strips. I don't drink because I never bring my Id. I like you guys

This establishment is somehow still a smoke friendly facility! I will never be back long as they allow smoking inside! Food wasn't to bad but you couldn't taste it due to the guy across from us lighting up.

So sad. This place is still a smoking place and smells so bad. It made my son and I nauseous. The water tasted like dirt (real bad dirt). I asked the waitress and apparently it is the way Cleburne water taste. With that being said, I would suggest getting a filter. Gross

Went tonight for my son's 9th birthday. Jonathan the server was AMAZING! It smelt so bad with cigarette smoke but I didn't want to cause a scene so we stayed. Had the classic burger and my burger meat was so hard I couldn't even eat it. Fries were really salty. Now all of our stomachs are either queazy, or have diarrhea, or feel like we are going to vomit. I don't know if we will be back or not.

The Boneless chicken bites were hard as a rock the mozzarella sticks tasted like stale grease and were hard as a rock could not eat it spent $46 on that meal worst meal I think I've ever had

Nothing against smokers but this Applebee’s is allowing smoking in the restaurant and the place stinks. Not just smoke smell but a foul smell from something other than smoke. It’s disgusting and this Applebee’s is on the path to failure.

Well the GM that I never met, told the bartender to tell me I was done(he ran to his office and hid). Weird since I have not had a drop of alcohol since a year ago. Doesn't tell the bartender any information, just tan. I'd like to reiterate I have never seen this guy in my life. Y'all need to put better thought into who you employee.

I've always love Applebee's! Great food & service. Well not after yesterday. My husband has COPD. The smoke was so bad he couldn't breathe! It has never been that bad in there. I wish they had a smoking room.

The restaurant had a horrible smell of smoke. There is no where to sit to avoid it. Also there were a group of regulars setting around and discussing an upcoming football game and choosing squares for a football pot (gambling). That was not bad but their language was horrible and loud. The waitresses were busy hugging the regulars and ignoring other customers.

went there with my daughter and granddaughter, ordered the 2/30 meal and a kids meal. the total came to 40.04. when I checked my bank acct, it showed a total of 80.04 had been taken out. I would recommend that no one uses their debit card there

We were not greeted. We sat our selves. I went and got us menus. This restaurant allows smoking and it was very noticeable. The server was pleasant but not familiar with the menu. After ordering it took over a half hour to get our order.

Sunday evening....we shouldn't have even tried to stay. This restaurant allows smoking with no barriers. We sat for over 30 minutes waiting for a salad. The waitress kept stopping by our table to apologize. Come on Applebee's....step up your game!
