This is hands down the Numero Uno Ristorante in Como. Each time we have been to Lo Storico, Mary and Nic, have been gracious hosts to us. The food is fresh and delicious. They have numerous freshly prepared seafood dishes to select from. This was our third visit to Lo Storico and we thrilled to see that the quality of the food, the service, supreme and the ambiance with the music and stunning decor enveloping the expectations of dining in Italy. Bravo Mary & Nic!!! Salute!!

I happened upon Lo Storico by accident while walking the streets in Como. It’s an amazing restaurant in a beautiful outdoor setting. The food was outstanding as was the service. I highly recommend.

We were recommended this little gem by our concierge because it’s where locals would go - tick! We were warmly welcomed to a beautiful table and we were the dazzled with the most incredible, perfect Italian dishes - this is why we keep coming back to Italy. Bruschetta, a surprise crispy prawn dish we didn’t even order but I guess was a very generous amuse bouche, a main of fish sides of potatoes salad and tomato salsa and a Pinot Grigio that paired perfectly. We were not going to leave this venue without dessert. Such a beautiful, warm service with spectacular an Italian seafood-based food. Highly recommend this little find to anyone wanting something simply Italian.

Best food I have had in Como. A true fine dining experience with incredible service that I will remember for a long time to come. Nicola, the chef is a true artist. We went into it not knowing how upscale it would be, so we were pleasantly surprised when greeted with what felt like true Italian culture and experience. If you take the time to ask the staff about the food you will quickly find the chef at your table chatting it up. Small, quaint atmosphere with well appointed features and expansive wine selection. You will leave with a full belly, happy memories and a place that no matter where you are from feels like home.

Absolutely impeccable service and hospitality. I’ve been traveling Italy for a bit across multiple cities and I can easily say this was by far the best meal I’ve had. Nicola is an artist in the kitchen. I highly advise just telling him to do the colors spread and make what he likes. We had 4 courses and each one was somehow better than the previous. Mary runs front of house and makes you feel like you’re family. Nicola is also a wine maker so be sure to ask him about his bottles.

After a nice afternoon strolling through Como we arrived with our dog for a lovely dinner. From the moment we arrived the service was friendly and attentive - and they made sure to take care of our pup as well. The food is delicious and we can’t wait to visit again. We had a fantastic experience at Lo Storico. This place serves high end seafood of various varieties and they’re all fantastic. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order. We had the triptych tartare to start, which was a refreshing appetizer. I ordered a special which was a pasta either lobster. We also got the ravioli with prawns as well as the roasted octopus. The octopus especially was fantastic, having a soft texture and delicious taste. The service was top notch, with the servers explaining everything as they brought them.

we had a great night there. The setting is special but I guess that what makes the place, beside the food. A glass of champaign to start is on the house and makes ordering that much more delightful. the food is great, and compared to other restaurants it is not much more expensive, but the portions are a bit bigger. We had octopus and clams as starters, both great and as main the seafood pasta and the fish soup - again delicious! Place, food and service 5* we will go again should we stay in Como!

Piacevole Bistrot in centro a Como premetto che adoro i posti con pochi tavoli. Io e mia moglie abbiamo cenato ottimamente e altrettanto bevuto . Ho posto foto antipasto pan briosce con fois gras davvero ottimo. Da riprovare senz’altro. Nota inoltre mai banale: il personale super gentile. Grazie.

Aperitivo in Piazza Volta la location esterna è molto curata ed è la prima cosa che ci ha invitato a sederci e nonostante alcune recensioni negative forse siamo capitati in una serata tranquilla dove siamo stati serviti gentilmente e con professionalità. Degustando un'ottimo Negroni ed un altrettanto valido bicchiere di rose ' in aggiunta abbiamo preso un piatto di crudo stagionato 24 mesi ed era veramente buono!

Abbiamo fatto un aperitivo all'aperto. Buoni i cocktail, bella l'atmosfera. Pochissimo da sgranocchiare, non adatto se volete fare un aperitivo ferma fame. Buona e bella amche la pizza

Siamo stati in questo locale per un aperitivo e ci è piaciuto molto. Il personale è molto gentile! In particolare la signora dei capelli lunghi scuri, troppo simpatica! Poi gli stuzzichini che accompagnano il drink sono normali, forse un po' duretto il formaggio, ma sfizioso. La polenta con il pesce era ok, forse il pesce un po' salato, ma buono. Quindi lo consigliamo!

It was a nice dinner, and service is very good 👍 I would recommend the fish soup (secondi) and the fried prawn (starter). Pastas were good, especially the ravioli, but I think their flavor is a bit bland, can improve on this. And if they could clean the inside of the sea urchin before serving, it was a bit too much sea water flavor.

Giro in conclusione della giornata. Ci fermiamo a Como e cerchiamo un posto dove mangiare e capitiamo qui. Sicuramente ottima scelta di vini ma scarsa nella scelta del cibo. Le pizze che passano dirette ad altri tavoli non sono molto invitanti quindi optiamo per un "panino" con pollo alla griglia, insalata, uova sode e pomodorini. In realtà ci sarebbe dovuta essere anche la maionese che oltre a non essersi vista, non si è neanche sentita. I panini alla fine erano fatti col pane dei sandwich, molto asciutto a volte stopposo. Prezzi.... leggermente sopra la qualità fornita.

Mixed feelings on our dining experience. First of, the seafood quality is not bad, the staff made good wine recommendations and explained how the food was cooked. However, two things I want to note on why we were disappointed: 1) ordering - we were clear that we wanted to share the starters but instead each of us got one. It was not well communicated from them. 2) price - this is the part definitely felt like a tourist trap. The price is expensive compared to local, and one glass of our wine is €18. We in the end had a $300+ bill and we felt the food is not worth the price. Lastly they have a tipping option on their POS machine (like what restaurants have in the states), first time we saw that on our trip in Italy.

While the seafood at this restaurant is of good quality, the prices are exorbitant. You can find similar quality seafood at other places for 30-40% less. The staff was constantly interrupting the dining experience, checking on the table every 5 minutes. The interior decor aims for a romantic ambiance but falls short, coming across as more unsettling than inviting. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to others.

ASSURDO! CONSIGLIO:CONTROLLA SEMPRE LO SCONTRINO Anche se tu fossi ubriaco marcio!

Sono stata qui con amici e parenti, servizio molto lento. Dipendenti che litigano tra di loro, camerieri che non sorridono, tutti snobbi, un cameriere fa cadere mio nipotino e lo guarda senza chiedere scusa. Servizio molto lento. Abbiamo fatto un secondo ordine facendo presente che non era arrivato il tagliere, e nulla lo abbiamo fatto presente ma niente è cambiato. Non ci torneró mai’! sconsiglio questo posto!

Cameriere scortese, scontroso e strafottente. Probabilmente una giornata NO per lui, ma che ha deciso di sfogare su clienti a caso. Professionalità zero, parlando alle spalle dei clienti e deridendoli con battute per niente carine! Inaccettabile. Purtroppo non ci è stato detto il nome, ma sicuramente questa è stata la nostra prima ed ultima cena un quel posto.

Servizio pessimo, cibo consegnato freddo. Soprattutto un cameriere, antony, ragazzo con occhiali e apparecchio che ci ha attaccate per un suo errore nella comanda, cercando in modo arrogante e maleducato di incolpare noi, facendo commenti fuori luogo con i colleghi a un passo dal nostro tavolo. Consiglio vivamente di cambiare mestiere.

La pizza era oleosa e la mozzarella di bufala era cotta rendendo la pizza molto gommosa(di solito per evitarlo si mette dopo che la pizza è stata cucinata in forno). La salsa dei paccheri era terribile e c’era solo uno spruzzo minuscolo di burrata. Non mi sarei mai aspettata una qualità cosi nassa di piatti italiani in italia onestamente. Ci hanno messo tanto a preparare la pizza, a prendere le ordinazioni, a darci il conto e a portarci le bevande.

We were there last night, and it was the worst experience I have ever had with a sea food restaurant, the food was Ok but over priced for the portion, It is unbelievable but we paid 186 Euro for 2 dishes and one desert , they charge for the small side dishes like asparagus and vegetables were not told by the waitress that it would be like that ( weak communication) . They even changed us to use the plates and forks and spoons !!! ( 9 Euro for each person!!! ) I have never seen anything like that in any restaurant , so it was like a tourist trap, we will never go back there again , we were screwed big time and it's a shame .
