Calamari was good. Softest I’ve ever had not rubber and chewy at all. Apple martinis were delicious especially with bits of dried apple in them. Yummm. Had the shrimp and grits. Again delicious. The crème brûlée custard was ok. The topping was too chewy like toffee. The chocolate cake was good.
My family was on our way to Missouri for a Thanksgiving trip, but we wanted to stop in Arkansas to meet with some family. They recommend we meet them at Mike's Place. There were about 15-20 people in our group. Every single one of them commented that the food they received was some of the best ever! I ordered the chicken alfredo as was also very impressed! The waiter was very comfortable and helpful considering how many people he was dealing with! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Mike’s Place is hands down one of the best spots to eat in Conway. The filet was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. You can tell they really care about the quality of their food. The fried green tomatoes were also incredible and some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The atmosphere is great and the service was friendly and welcoming. I also know the owner personally, and it’s awesome to see the amount of pride and effort that goes into this place. It definitely shows in the food and the experience. If you’re in Conway and looking for a great meal, Mike’s Place is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I have to start outside, in the Old Town area of Conway the building has been well kept with a genuine Old Town look with lots of architectural ironwork which I love. Inside I was greeted by Owner Mike, who asked about the cap I had on, from my hometown, and turns out he not only has family there, But had a cousin who had been a very dear friend of mine several years back. Service, Excellent! Food, Very Excellent Also!! Atmosphere, Well I cant say what it might be all the time? But if you go at a time when Mike himself is there,,, I guarantee it's gonna be great! We have a daughter in school in Ft Smith, and and sometimes to be able to see her at all its just to meet for a quick visit and a meal at halfway in Conway, and how Mikes Place has stayed off of our list and radar this long is just un-explainable ? But definitely on the list now !
I have been in Arkansas for four years and become convinced that there was just no good food here. Then my husband and I found this place and wow! The food was delicious! My husband had prime rib and it was melt in your mouth good. I had crab legs and they were cooked to perfection. We also had the shrimp appetizer and it was spectacular! The service and atmosphere were top notch. We will be back for sure!
Mike's Place is consistently the very best food as far as the overall dining experience and food quality when dining out. It's one of if not the best restaurants in Arkansas if not the entire MidSouth. The fish , the steaks, are always prepared just right and the sides and salads are all very delicious and fresh. If you are looking for a great bar experience and good drinks like cocktails, or just a beer at the bar Mike's Place is as friendly and skilled at that as theyvarecat serving delicious food.
First time at Mike’s Place in Conway, Arkansas, and I was absolutely blown away. The quality here is on another level. The rolls came out hot and delicious, the kind of fresh-baked taste you don’t forget. I ordered the seafood crepes and they were amazing — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and definitely something I’ll come back for. Even the house salad with ranch was a 10/10. This place just earned a spot as my go-to restaurant. Highly recommend!

Have always had a great meal. We went to celebrate my birthday and service was a little slow, but it was also New Years eve and they were very busy. Other than that it was a great experience.
Loved our experience and we will be back! We had the strip steaks, both cooked perfectly. The bisque was delicious. We tried the bread pudding which was exceptional. This was one of our favorite meals of the year. We are foodies and try new places all over and Mikes is a top tier restaurant. My wife and I often go to Mike's Place to enjoy their prime rib. It lives up to their claim of being the best in the state. We have tried others everywhere we have traveled but we always come back to Mike's Place to enjoy the best. That creamy horseradish is top notch along with the aju sauce. The atmosphere and service makes Mike's Place a regular spot for us even though it's an hour round trip drive.
This review is long overdue! I visited Mike's Place in July 2024. The atmosphere was clean, warm, and inviting. I ordered the Shrimp & Grits: jumbo gulf shrimp piled on Southern grits topped with a savory butter sauce. They were the best shrimp and grits i had ever had! The Mike's Place team was kind and attentive. I highly recommend Mike's Place!
Being from Louisiana this is hands down like being at home. If you have never tried Mike's Place you are missing out on some of the best food outside of Louisiana! All the complements to the owner and chef!

The Commodores Platter was AWESOME! The lobster tail melted in my mouth and the crab legs were actually full of meat. The salad was fresh with freshly grated cheese. I can't say enough good things about this place. The best food I've had in YEARS from here to Florida.
Mike's place is a very good Cajun seafood & steak restaurant. The bar is well stocked & the atmosphere is great. My wife & I have been dining here for special occasions for years. She particularly likes the crab cakes. When I’m not too hungry I tend to favor the chicken or fish wraps. The seafood crepes are outstanding.
The service was spectacular. My party didn't have a reservation but we were able to be seated immediately at a table on what seemed to be a busy night. I didn't catch my waiter's name but he was very attentive to our table. I never had to ask for anything. He was quick to ask us if we needed anything but not so much that it was a bother. My food was incredibly delicious. I ordered the Pecan Encrusted White Fish with steamed broccoli and smashed potatoes. I don't usually eat my entire plate of food but it was too delightful not to finish it all despite the generous portion. I've always heard nothing but positive things about Mike's Place because of the outstanding customer service and superb food. I can now attest to this. I've also heard numerous great things about Mike himself. Maybe I'll get to meet him on my next visit to Conway. Would love to meet the legend himself. Thank you guys for the great experience as an outside visitor meeting with very close friends for a brief visit.
A great classic restaurant with amazing steak and seafood! Their prime rib is top tier and it’s the best, if not only, in Arkansas. Definitely make a stop here if you’re driving through! Everything is fresh and tasty, the service is wonderful too.
Food is always delicious! I love all the seafood options. My brother said mikes creole was fantastic and I enjoyed my crab legs. The service is always 10/10. Very nice, kind staff. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. The patio/ outside area is very nice. Always enjoy coming to mikes place. It’s a go-to for my family/ friends in Conway!

My food came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious—it exceeded my expectations. A huge shoutout to my server, Nick, who was amazing. He was quick, attentive, and incredibly kind, which made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending Mike’s Place to friends and family. Excellent lunch here the other day. Good food and superb service by our server (Aubrey). A well-varied menu. My wife had the seafood crepes, and I had chicken and shrimp pasta (Lots more than seafood; we just happened to be on that kick.) Also has a drink menu with some intriguing entries. (Tempted, but were driving.) Oh, and the white chocolate creme brûlée was fantastic. Wish we lived in the area. We'd be regulars.
The waitress was definitely one of the best servers I've ever had. She was obviously trained very well and did an awesome job Explaining everything on the menu with all the questions I ask, cause it was my first and many more times to come to Mike's Place. I wish I could remember her name. It was a Thursday July 20th lunch, Long brown hair. I want her to be my server every visit!!!
We attended an event at Mike' Place. The restaurant atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was phenomenal. Service was superb. The side salad was a good size. We had the salad with ranch dressing. It was the right amount to accompany our entrée. The Seafood Crepes was astounding! Ask for extra bread so you can dip and savor all that sauce. Yum! The Blackened Chicken Alfredeaux was top-notch. It was creamy and seasoned very well. Our servers were really attentive and professional. The perfect restaurant to do an event or group dining to date nights. You will not be disappointed!!!! We will be back!

Tasty food with grade A southern hospitality customer service! We had a party of 5 without a reservation and were seated within 20 minutes. We had 2 children in our party and the kids menu was more than accommodating as far as options for a picky eater. Our waitress, “Sukie”, apologizes if misspelled, was TOP TIER. She was kind, very knowledgeable of the menu and attentive to any table needs. Our appetizer: Fried Green Tomatoes, very tasty. My entree: Tenderloin Filet (requested rare) with a loaded baked potato and side salad. My filet when 1st received looked great but upon cutting into it I noticed as well as our waitress that it was overcooked. She insisted, not myself, on grabbing her manager so the matter could be resolved. The manager came over swiftly and also noticed and insisted on having the kitchen prepare me another filet cooked as originally requested, rare. When the 2nd filet came out and I cut into it, it was PERFECT. The loaded potato and salad were delicious. The fresh from the oven loaves of bread were also quite good. I also had a mixed drink with my meal, Lemon Drop martini, and it was amazing. The 40 minute drive from our vacation rental at Petit Jean was definitely worth it. We will definitely be coming back!
4/27/25 The club sandwich and sweet potato fries was very good, The kids pizza was so big for a kid to eat.This place is a great place to come and get your seafood fix. Both our dinners were awesome and we will be back to eat here again. The atmosphere and the service is top notch. Our waitress was great! And it was a nice laid back setting downtown. The tenderloin fillet was great but the Oscar topping( lump crab and bearnaise sauce) wasn’t to my liking. They did take the topping charge off though!( great service). My girlfriend got the commodores platter (lobster tail, crab legs, shrimp, and fish fillet) when the platter came out the waitress said “the chef said that lobster tail was to small so there cooking you another one right now.” So again excellent service! The desserts were great, we ate the crème brûlée, and the turtle cheesecake. Overall a good dinner.
We were at Mike's Place for Father's day. It was a wonderful meal. The pot roast was fantastic as was the salmon. We also ordered 2 steaks. We were a little disappointed they were both overcooked and did not have any sauce or juice with them so they were dry. Spinach and salads were great as were the cosmos. For dessert we enjoyed key lime pie, turtle cheesecake and creme brule. Nick was our waiter and he was delightful. He was very attentive, friendly and fun!! Ask for him!

This place is going DOWNHILL. Tuesday night experience: The steak was just awful. No flavor whatsoever! It’s like someone just placed a raw steak on an indoor grill and then placed it on a plate. I’m not sure how they get good reviews on the steak. The pan-seared white fish was mushy and tasted like it was a little “aged” in a bad way. The mashed potatoes were ice cold and flavorless. The server was not around enough to even warrant a decent tip, and all of our food was cold. She messed up two drinks and took forever to check on us. She didn’t even bring us any of our appetizers or food and we had to get a cook to bring us A1 sauce. Little do they know I’m an avid restaurant reviewer and they missed the mark in a big way.

Tonight should’ve been simple — a quiet Thanksgiving dinner, just the two of us. Instead, for the $300 I spent, the evening felt more like a scramble than a celebration. What makes it sting even more is this: back when I lived close and worked in Conway, this place was a staple for me. I’ve eaten here well over a hundred times since the doors first opened. I know what this restaurant can be. Tonight was not that — not even close. We were seated by one server, given water by another, had to flag someone else down for a wine menu, another for bread, another to place our order, someone else to confirm it was even in the system, and finally another person entirely just to get the ticket. It shouldn’t take half the staff to serve one table. It was scattered and messy from start to finish. The steaks? Cooked correctly, yes — and that’s where the praise ends. No seasoning, no salt, no char, no trace of the 21-day aging you advertise. Just flat, flavorless meat. You’d never guess it touched a wood-fired grill. They offered a dessert on the house, which was kind in intention, but poorly executed. My girlfriend loves crème brûlée, and this one simply wasn’t right. The custard wasn’t set, and the sugar top wasn’t properly caramelized — just overheated, warm, and watery. It fell apart instantly. I’m not here to tear anyone down. I value craft, consistency, and doing things the right way — and for years, this place delivered exactly that. But tonight… tonight felt like a different restaurant entirely. And after a hundred meals and years of loyalty, I hate to say it, but this may be my last visit. Please fix the service flow, retrain the grill and dessert stations, and bring back the standard you used to hold. You’ve got the bones of something great — but right now, the cracks are showing.
