The ladies were friendly. It definitely felt like a spot where people go to get a home cooked meal. I was disappointed by the mangu. It was not good. The plantains used were ripening and the taste reflected that. The other dishes were ok. I would go back.

My Haitian husband, and my Puerto Rican self thoroughly enjoyed their salmon, pollo guisado, rice, beans, and asopao de pollo was legit delicious. Will definitely return for another night of my not having to cook, enjoying comfort food that reminds me of home. -------------- UPDATE ------------- After quite a few months picking up food, we noticed the prices change per visit and per food item. Today, for example, the small aluminum I was told was $8-$9 the mid-size one $10. I ordered the beef stew with rice and beans, and she said it's $12. When asking why, she said because of the type of meat. I took the smaller one and she charged $11? When I got home, it was loaded with white rice, beans from the bottom of the barrel, and three small pieces of tomato-flavored beef stew. Definitely lower quality for higher price. Signs of the times we're in. Not going back.

Rice and beans are fine but watery. There was MUCH more rice than beans. Tostones need salt, they came without it. The customer service was disappointing. I stood around waiting, confused about the status of my order.

We ordered delivery of the pork family size. The pernil, white rice and maduros were delish. When we opened the beans container it had such a pungent smell like old food followed by a terrible taste. It's a shame because that would've been the topping to a great dinner.

I've ordered here about 4xs now & never had a problem. HOWEVER today I ordered two cheese empanadas & after eating one & biteing into the second one I looked inside & saw what seems to be a used blue glove latex inside the empanada. Unfortunately, I will not be ordering from here again.

When it comes to catering on holidays, they’re so overwhelmed that the food is not as fresh anymore my patelon was very hard & The rice was so hard It tasted like it was three days old.

Highly doubt they are Dominican. What Dominican restaurant sends you a fruit punch Gatorade when you ask a red country club soda? What Dominican restaurant makes a CHIMICHURRI (hamburger like patty) with steak and lettuce (Dominican chimis are made with cabbage). I do not recommend at all

The absolute worst mofongo I’ve ever ordered. It was wet and lack consistency. The sauce was just pure oil. Called the restaurant and they asked me where I was from? I didn’t answer however I’m Puerto Rican and have had amazing mofongo here in Queens. DONT ORDER FROM THEM!!!!

NO STAR IF THIS WAS POSSIBLE NOT BECAUSE THE FOOD IS BAD IT’S BECAUSE THEY ARE WAY OVERCHARGING! I came to get some mofongo with pork and a medium size of beans and the guy charged $16.25. in the city on Madison and 109th street I paid for same order $9. In Brooklyn on Myrtle Ave. I paid for one chicken and pork mofongo with a medium size of beans all $24.52. When I asked at Mama Lupe for the menu, I was told there is none because of prices constantly changing. On their website the pork mofongo is $8 but he asked for $12 and $4 for the beans…way more!!! DONT TRUST THIS STORE WITH WHAT THEY CHARGE!!

I crave to mofongos. And If you wanna break your teeth and just literally get a piece of stone - order from them mofongo. Never again! I don’t know was is old or cooked wrong way but I couldn’t cut it off easily. Also ordered a sole fish cooked healthy way, they called me back said they don’t have that fish and offered to fry something else..

Good food. Disgusting customer service. The owner doesn’t even look at you when he takes the payment. Servers have so much attitude and won’t even acknowledge that you’re standing there until you say hi. Then they don’t respond hi, they tell you to wait.
