Start off you have to go to the counter and order your dinner which is fine they do bring it to you. I had the Kung pao shrimp with fried rice fried rice look more like Mexican rice but good flavor. There was plenty of shrimp and a nice spice to it I would go back again.

Me and my wife order food from hudat once a week and it never seems to let us down. The food is always fresh. It feels like they make the food just for you. I have been craving this place since I left Texas 4 1/2yrs ago. Best Vietnamese food EVER. The All-Star is my go to dish since the 1st Hu-Dat on Ayers. So glad there is one in Annaville area. The owner was very welcoming & love the relaxed atmosphere.

Stopped on a Saturday while heading back home to the RGV, arrived 1hr till close. House was pretty busy and a few large groups arrived after us, our orders were promptly taken while the two waitresses cashed out customers, refilled drinks, rushed around to attend tables, and juggled to go orders. Food came out in no time and tasted great, just like I'd remembered since the last time I had been. I had my usual combo bun with beef, a great mix of textures, flavors, and even temperatures. The egg rolls being my favorite part. My friend got the lo mein with chicken, could smell the smokiness of the noodles as the plate landed. Chicken was tender and veggies weren't over cooked. Great flavor, can see why it's a best seller. Price was and has always been way better than anything available down here in the valley, not to mention portion size and significantly better flavor. Great work by the waitresses up front and what appeared to be two workers at the back of house taking care of everyone. Can't recommend enough for a quick and tasty bite.

I called in a to go order and was told my order would be ready in 10-15 min. It was ready when I arrived. I have only had the pho chicken about a half dozen times and it’s always really good. I wish the chicken had a bit more flavor though. Pricing is pretty inexpensive. It’s definitely worth a try.

Love this place! I eat here with my family at least once a week. I highly recommend the combo Bun Bowl, Spring Rolls, sushi, and Chicken Pho soup. Service is always on point, and the food is always great. I just wish they were open on Sunday's sometimes though but I understand why they are not. Great place to eat!

I always get the glass noodles and they are to die for!! ❤️ All the people are very sweet, sometimes it take a little while to get your food but it’s totally worth it for the food! Been to several pho restaurants in different cities and this by far the best! Don't know hu dat one that said they stingy with meat cause it was more than enough and the amount of noodles is insane!! Customer service was a 10!!

The manager there knows me well and always does her best to take care of each order along with mines! The only Con would be long holds due to "no extra help" she is doing excellent when doing everything by herself w/1 helper though! Blessed her ♥!

First time here today for a lunch plate to go. I decided to try the house fried rice. It only comes with 1 meat of your choice. Each additional meat is 2 dollars extra. So I got 🐔 chicken and shrimp 🦐 fried rice. It was like 13 dollars total. I waited around for it to be cooked. Didn't wait to long. The wonderful chef in the kitchen brought it out fast. It was super tasty. It had the breathe of the wok. It was so good I forgot to take a picture of it. Oh well, on my next visit, I'll take some pics. Great job girls at Hu Dat #2. Awesome food. I will eat here again. Stop on by if you're hungry. A+ A+ A+👍😋👍

Update 10/13/25 - we dined in and the two ladies that serve are fantastic, coming to the table to check if we need anything. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. We will continue to return. Update 5/8/24 - we tried take out this time and the food was consistent. The only issue was the person who takes the orders sounds rude. We have been going to this location for years and the food is pretty consistent. We each ordered a plate, not the usual Bun Com and an order of egg rolls. Always plenty of food and full of flavor. Each plate had its own flavor, not made with the same kind of sauce.

I go here anytime I want delicious food with no risk of disappointment. The lettuce wraps and pot stickers are to die for and easily some of the best pho I've ever had anywhere. I dont even want to tell you all about the Lenny's Chicken because they only make so much each day and what if there's none left for me?! Haha seriously though. The portions are large so beware because you won't want to stop eating! So if you're looking for damn good food and supporting local businesses while you're at it, definitely stop here.

Dined at this location a few times, all have been pleasant experiences! The broth of the soups is fantastic, the Vietnamese egg rolls are something you will crave! Haven't had a bad dish yet. Portions are excellent and service is very good. Friendly, even when busy. Bit short staffed, having only seen two employees front of house, but they do a wonderful job. Definitely recommend a visit!

Great food. We had to wait a little bit for our food but it was worth it. The place was busy and with good reason. The wsitrezz was not very friendly but we figured she was tired since she was the only one serving.

Food is so good from the noodles to the sushi. The sad part is that they don't sell sushi on the weekend. But they customer service is great and friendly, and if something is not right they'll take it back without being rude about it.

The food was pretty good. Not my absolute favorite, but was pretty good. I really liked the cabbage rolls! The chicken I ordered was not delicious, but was good. The staff was kind, but not always attentive to our needs and slow to give us our check. Overall a good experience, but the food could taste a little better and the staff could be more attentive.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars, but I had to do 4 stars because 3 would of been unfair. The food is good, not much choice for this type of food in Calallen. The service is lacking but not terrible. The eating area seems tight and kind of dark, it has a strange feel to it. For this place it would be best to place an order and pick it up.

I would give them 5 stars but the lunch run is crazy, took 35 minutes to get my order. They need some serious kitchen help. Evening meals are much better but I won't go for lunch again due to my tight lunch brake.

Real Asian food in South Texas. Consistently good real sporting rolls, overall, excellent food. One very annoying thing is that they let their young (10 years old) daughter serve food, set tables, etc. She doesn't wash her hands and is often playing while you're trying to enjoy your lunch.

Understaffed, but that’s about the only negative thing from keeping this place from 5 stars! The woman at the front (who also appeared to be cooking the food) was sooo nice! She also did a fantastic job on the food! My lady ate the Beef and Broccoli with Fried rice and I had the Crab Lo Mein (which was perfectly cooked I may add, and I don’t get perfectly cooked crab often) I would highly recommend this place! My Resume -I’ve traveled the world and been to 49 states eating food (traveling and a US Marine, also as chef (and Sous chef) in many restaurants. Bon Apetit!

Hu Dat is as close to authentic Asian fusion you’ll find in Corpus, with the exception of maybe two other restaurants. Excellent flavor, quality ingredients, and good service, too. My only issue - and this is prevalent across all restaurants - is the disparity of portions between dine-in and takeout. When I dine-in, I can’t finish my meal due to the massive amount of food! I always take leftovers home with me. When I order takeout, however, the portion can be as much as 50% less compared to when I eat in the restaurant. Either the entire portion is reduced, or the protein (meat) is drastically different. I’ve ordered dinner portions of takeout meals many times, and several times, there has been almost no meat in the order. Please treat your takeout customers the same as your dine-in customers. Thanks!

This is good place for pho in the north Corpus Christi area. I had the Nam Pho. It was very good and flavorful. My large soup only had about 4 pieces of beef flanks in it. For a large, I feel it should’ve been more but nonetheless, it was good and filling. This is a place where you go up to the counter and order before sitting down. And, the beverages are self serve. The atmosphere is a bit dim and quiet. I would come back and try more items.

The food and service was alright. Tbh the food could have been a lot better. I had to take a sip of my drink everytime I swallow. I am never coming back again. The atmosphere was dense and it feels like it was hard to breathe.

This restaurant needs to hire more wait staff. It gets so full all the time and service is slow. I waited 30mins for one plate of food. They don’t offer WiFi so my daughter got bored of waiting and was hungry and she was not happy and neither was I. The food USED to be amazing but quality and service has gone down. I will not be returning to dine in.

It was alright, took a while to get our food, because the staff was admittedly not motivated. My plate of general tso chicken was good, but my husband's sesame chicken was watery and lacked flavor.

Ordered the bo luc lac, kung pao chicken and 2 plates of pork fried rice with extra garlic. The fried rice is always good. I have never gotten bad fried rice from them. The kung pao chicken is okay. Just ok. The bo luc lac is bad. There is something off with the dish we got. Had to spit it out. It's so bad I have a stomach ache and I didn't even swallow the bite.

Usually there food is delicious and the service is always great. Last night was not a very good experience. Not because of service or anything...but the broccoli and beef I ordered tasted very different than what it normally tastes like.. this is the first time I ate at the one in anaville so maybe it was just an off night?

The portions are great and the staff is very friendly, but I hate how I can never find an updated menu that's not 3 years old, the egg rolls were still raw in the middle one of the visits I made, and the potstickers taste exactly like the frozen ones at Wal-Mart. My last meal was approximately $25 when I though I was spending around $14-$16 because the proces are now way off than what it says online.

Ordered to go everyone looked angry and half asleep. Waiting a while for someone to come back to the to go area. Curry was great. Lo mein was actually chow mein very bland only chicken and noodles. Rangoon tasted like plastic.

I don’t know what happened to the service at this restaurant. The wait time was extremely long and we were very disappointed. We will not be going to this restaurant again. This restaurant used to be so much better than it was today.

The lady who is at the cash register is always in a bad attitude and looks like she and a hurry to take your order. I used to like that restaurant before but I think I never going to come back again

The food seemed very cheap the rice is terrible the sesame chicken was watery with little flavor the crab ragoons only tasted like grease but on a positive note they had a very professional 8 year old running the register that was better service than i had with any of the adults that work there

It took over half an hour to get our food after we ordered even though the place wasn't busy. Then they brought me a chicken dish instead of the vegetarian dish I had ordered. We had to wait another 20 min to get my food, and our lunch was over so I had to take it to go. The food was ok when I got to eat it, but not worth the hassle.

I ordered the rare steak pho to-go and although the broth had a nice flavor, my noodles were over cooked and mushy. So over cooked that it looked like someone had cut the noodles with scissors every time I tried to pick them up because they would be so mushy and fall apart. There was also a winged bug in my pho that I didn’t realize it was there until after I took my first few bites. It seemed to have gotten in the broth when they packaged it. They also only gave me 5 slivers of beef for a large pho. Very disappointing. If you want great pho, just go to Photastic and Deli!

Only giving two stars because the service was good. Had the meatball pho and the kimchi, the meatballs were definitely store-bought sliced meatballs and it had way too much onion and the kimchi was just cabbage and carrots with flavored rice vinegar and pepper flakes. Just moved to the area from a military town that actually knows how to make Vietnamese pho and kimchi so I was very disappointed that a Vietnamese Noodle House would put out such bad product will not be returning

It may just be a geographical misunderstanding on my part. However, I ordered crab ragoons, egg rolls, cashew chicken with fried rice. The crab ragoons had NO crab, just cream cheese. The egg rolls were wrapped with spring roll wrap. The cashew chicken was not fried. It was just stringy weird boiled slices. The fried rice was basically just colored, with no vegetables or egg to be seen. Again, I am from West Texas and am accustomed to the food there. But, I was very disappointed with the meal in itself. From a visual and edible aspect. $30 for just myself. I will not be returning.

Not gonna waste my time saying everything but holy smokes. $5 for 5 eggrolls the size of my thumb with hardly anything in it? I ordered 2 of them! Disgusting and overpriced. I ordered other food but just was not good. Not coming back.

The fried rice was burnt, the beef was sweet? The wonton soup tasted nothing like wonton soup, had one wonton and a ton of onions. Paid $12.95 and a $4 tip for the worst to go food I've ever had.

Food had NO FLAVOR!!! When your mom attempts to add salt, sriracha and shes used to bland food do to high blood pressure you know something is wrong. Definitely not going back.

The food was horrible no taste whatsoever! I ordered a happy family and it came out looking like soup! The staff is terrible very unfriendly. I've been to others around the area and it seems they are all the same do not waste your time in going there.

Service was bad as soon as we walked in. The lady that came to seat us was pretty rude and rushed us when ordering and just had a bad attitude. As I was eating my food (sesame chicken) I noticed something in the chicken. I pulled out a metal wire from what I believe was a grill brush. I handed it to the lady serving us and her response was "its probably from the brush they use all the time, they need a new one." She said she would let them know about it and I handed her the metal wire. She walked off and I physically observed her toss the wire on the ground and go on with what she was doing. Awful experience. We will not be visiting Hu Dat again.

Dumbfounded. After picking up my call ahead order, and returning home, I notice that there are no shrimp in my spring rolls (basically pork and vermacelli noodles only). I call Hu-Dat to advise that my spring rolls were missing the shrimp, the girl that took my order says " yeah, we are out of shrimp". I said "I wish I would have known before ordering shrimp dishes". And she says "She didn't want to order more shrimp before the holiday"!....Mindblown! LoL...it's so ridiculous it's actually comical!

I called just before Christmas several hours before their closing time and they were out of food, disappointing, but I understood because they were closing for the holiday today I called. They took my order to my name for my order and then inform me they had Run out of beans, sprouts for the Pho And would substitute cabbage I ended up going somewhere else. He used to be my go to place really disappointing

This place is always good,but not today. I ordered chicken and broccoli to go and about 5 bites in I am choking. I had to pull out of my throat a piece of wire from a stainless steel scrubber. I pray that I did not swallow any other ones. This can seriously hurt people internally. I did not eat any more and as you can see it was still a full plate. I also use to order the Lenny's plate (which I loved) but not anymore. Use to have 3 chicken tenders and now it is just pieces that literally melted in you mouth without chewing. To me that is gross. I will call them tomorrow since they are closed now.

Are orders were wrong, usually it is good and an audit portion. We received a child size portion. Pored out in the bag. With an adult price. The last time we went in we had to wait on our selfs. Then asked for it to be microwaved because it was cold , you gave us a whole cute up onion 4 carrots slices with 2 mushrooms. Check your eggrolls! I ordered the general tso on Friday Sept 23,2022 and I bit intmy eggroll proceeded to chew and looked back at eggroll cause it didn't feel as crispy. To my suprise it was pink. Not to mention I'm 30 weeks pregnant I spit out eggroll quickly. Thinking I was ok ..wrong. monday 9/26 nausea loose stools and stomach pain. I should have just canceled order when I noticed lady taking my phone order rushing to take my order. Obviously they were swamped and rushed through order taking/and cooking. So now I'm layed up with food poisoning worried about my baby and out $30+ dollars for undercooked food. keep an eye on food .

The cashier is always extremely rude & unprofessional. I go out of my way to be kind, respectful & understanding in hopes that she’ll at least be nice. I was reading reviews & someone’s review states that not only are there rats in the restaurant but the cooks spit in your food.

We've been living in Las Vegas for 9 years, moved to Calallen this year. Finally got a chance to try this Pho restaurant nearby. Tried Pho with Meatball, really dissapointed! There was no taste, the cashier not friendly at all, and the server was seems tired. We could not finished our food, had to bring it home and hoping someone would finished it, because i won't. This place is a self service business, you came in, go straight to counter to order food, then sit and wait for your food. Get your own drink too! No wonder when we were leaving, none of those people left them tips? Perhaps they gave tips ahead when ordering food? One could only hope :) Vegas spoiled us, too much great food with great taste. I can't understand how people said this place is delicious? I wish i could feel the same....

Tbh the pho i ordered was not even that good. The pho at the calallen location was so much better. The other thing is the Asian manager lady was treating her busser like shit , saying who bussed this plates and tables we don't do this ! She was just rude and nasty . It was hard to watch. Made me uncomfortable to the point I won't be going back bc I know what he goes thru on having to be talked down like that and a bit traumatic. She let me have my check and thought I was gonna leave a tip nope sorry no tip for you hunny.
