This is a great place tucked into a little alley off the street market. Enjoyed 3 dinners here, including one with rabbit and another with a shared dish called 'ravioli in a boat' that was a pastry-covered casserole with tiny ravioli and several types of seafood -- mussels, shrimp, clams and squid. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
This was our favorite place to eat in Rapallo. The food, the service and the atmosphere were all excellent and charming. We went there for three dinner meals during our 4 week stay in Rapallo.
Amazing restaurant. We had pesto lasagna - was out this world! Tiramisu was awesome too! Great prices.
We’re are in Rapallo for a week, so many choices of places to eat! We chose Piaceri Della Vita, based on its menu and reviews. And what a great choice, staff - very friendly and helpful, atmosphere - sat outside, so great, the thunder and lightning just added to the great feeling we had, and the food just topped it all off. So if you’re here for few days consider or just go here, you won’t be disappointed, we weren’t.
We are from Australia and don’t speak Italian, but the hostess was very friendly and accommodating so we had a very enjoyable evening. The seafood and pasta was wonderful… Highly recommend the ravioli in green sauce.
My wife and I arrived late after looking for typical Italian cuisine. The waitress and young waiter were absolutely amazing with the service which was friendly and fast. We had seafood and a lovely sparkling white wine which I could have with any meal at a very reasonable price. I give the restaurant 5 out of 5 for friendliness, service, food and price ✔️
Starting from their own focaccia, to pasta, to dessert, everything tastes fresh and delicious. Add the incredibly friendly staff who always make you feel welcome, and you can see why it's worth coming back again and again, even from another town :) Also, the prices are more than reasonable, given the quality and especially when compared with other places in the area. Highly recommended!
The place is gorgeous! Unlike the crowded and stuffy restaurants on the promenade or the old town, this one offers right enough space for a lovely and intimate dinner. The food is delicious and the service is very warm and cozy. Vita is an superb host, more of a friend indeed ;) The prices are truly reasonable, but the quality of your time and dining would excel. Honestly recommended!
The anitpasti platter with seafood was ok but we had way better for less money. The beef filet with rocket and parmesan was super delicious! As was the fresh pasta vongole. Overall nice small restaurant with friendly service. Unfortunately colored plastic ashtrays, pre packed cutlery and olive oil, balsamico and salt out of small plastic packages affect the ambiente - this may be convenient for the owners but it just kills the vibe. All in all solid but except for the main courses nothing special. Would recommend for a normal evening out. 7/10
Enjoyed fresh seafood and decent house wine here. Every element on the grilled seafood plate was perfectly cooked. We arrived for a late lunch around 15:20 and were greeted by a lovely lady who served us with great attentiveness, ensuring we were satisfied with each dish we ordered. I highly recommend this place, especially if you’re seeking a delightful dining experience outside the conventional hours.
We visited this restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. The portions were rather small for the price, which wouldn’t have been such an issue if the service had been better. Sadly, the waitress – short and dark-haired – left a very bad impression after making an inappropriate comment about some extra bread we ordered. I did not expect this kind of attitude, especially in Rapallo, Italy, where people are usually so kind and welcoming. This really spoiled the overall experience for us, and for that reason, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.
Went there for lunch, it was fairly empty. Had the ravioli which tasted good but very small portion, I wasn't full aftewards. There was a tv inside blaring very loudly which is an absolute no go if you have customers.
After our meal here, we regretted not choosing to cook at home. The food was not particularly bad, but not at all exceptional either. I was surprised, for example, that our pasta was a bit overcooked. The prices are quite high, like those of the restaurants along the sea shore, but without the benefit of a view. The staff, on the other hand, were friendly and attentive.
Honestly not sure if I went to a restaurant or accidentally walked onto the set of a post-apocalyptic cooking show. The fish tasted like it had lived a full, stressful life and then retired in a compost bin. The lemon on the plate looked like it had been through a divorce. I’m not saying the ingredients were old, but I’m fairly sure the salad on top had a pension plan. The place smells like someone tried to bottle the essence of a damp medieval dungeon and spray it as air freshener. Ordered dessert—some kind of "Rommie shoe" (I assume they meant tiramisu?)—took one bite and immediately questioned every decision I’ve made that led me to that moment. It was sour in a way that only betrayal and spoiled cream can be. They replaced it, but honestly, so would a haunted doll if you made it eat that. The pasta? A wet beige tragedy. It was both overcooked and confused—like it had been emotionally boiled more than physically. I've seen more structure in jellyfish. I wouldn't serve that to my worst enemy, or even a mid-level acquaintance. Left the restaurant spiritually defeated. My stomach has since filed a restraining order against me. Avoid. Unless you enjoy the taste of regret and ancient seafood.
I had high hopes for this place and loved the homemade cooking charm to it, the atmosphere is warm and vibrant. However, the waitress sat me at the very end and was completely not attentive, I didn’t want to be rude and wave them down but they rarely came over and checked so I went up there to ask for things and I believe she took offense to it, and when I asked for the bill, I tried to wave down the other waiters but couldn’t get their attention I went up again hoping to make their lives easier, and she was visibly unhappy. Calamari was good, pasta seafood was ok but the it could have used a bit more salt or clam juice.
