Got an ice cream soda from a server named Tennessee....did not think she would know what it was!! And BAM!! She whipped up the best ice cream soda EVAH!! COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!! Where she learn to do that??!!! Need to how her show EVERYONE how to make those!! It was correct, delicious...ON FLEEK!! SOOO LIT!!!

I grew up eating at Friendly's, so it's great to see one open and serving up fantastic food. I have to drive about 45 minutes to get here myself, but it's worth the drive when you can get good food and delicious ice cream. If you are in the area or passing through, I definitely recommend stopping by.

One of few consistently good restaurants in Cortland. Always clean and food quality is on point and of course DELICIOUS. Then there is the staff, the cooks, the servers who are ALWAYS pleasant and helpful! The assistant manager, Dawn is especially helpful and always smiling! She makes it even more welcoming! Keep up the fantastic work! Will keep coming back again and again! :)

For a delicious beverage, order the Sprite. It’s top notch. The buffalo chicken sandwich is also better than most other fine dining establishments. The combination blue cheese and buffalo sauce is nothing short of a spectacular on your taste buds. The chef has really elevated their career to pull off such flavor combinations. Back in my hometown, I used to go to Friendly's with my grandparents and my cousins almost every week, but the Friendly's closed down was I was around 9. So, to say I was excited to see a Friendly's here when I started attending Cortland would be an understatement. The food is extremely nostalgic for me and always manages to make me reminisce on my childhood

This place definitely gave the old memories of going here 50yrs ago when I was a kid with my family after church for Sundays and French fries!! We live in AZ now and just started getting their ice cream cakes in the grocery stores. The server was amazing..wish I could remember her name but we took forever to order because we didn't really know what we wanted because we wanted a lot!! Lol not coming back till when idk but I loved this place!! They didn't sit you all on top of each other like most places do. A blast from the past! We haven't had Friendly's in Rochester for 10 years +. Went to Cortland to watch my nephew play hockey and I got a peanut butter cup sundae. The hockey team won and so did I! Food was as good as I remember and the service was fantastic.

I like the healthy low calorie options here, multiple types of entrées aside from a plain salad. I ordered the harvest salad with chicken, apples, walnuts, and blue cheese dressing.

I missed Friendlys! The restaurant is well taken care inside and out! The food was great. The ice cream amazing and Jennifer our waitress is top notch!! An extremely fantastic experience!

The best Friendly's experience we have had in years. On a trip south from syracuse we stopped off the exit. It's super easy on and off 81. The honey bbq super melt was made with care and not a sloppy mess. Happy staff. I would recommend again

God friendlys is amazing. I wish more of them still existed. Went to the one in cortland and the food was unbelievably delicious. Can’t go wrong with the legendary honey bbq chicken super melt. Everything that came out was fresh and delicious, this was a top tier experience.

This location was furnished differently than the typical Friendly's. There are some high tables and larger tables for small groups. The food was perfectly cooked with the fries being hot and crispy. The server was very friendly and attentive.

We really like stopping at this Friendly's when we are traveling in upstate New York. It has been recently updated and is always clean. The servers are always very friendly. Our meals never have a problem.

The staff were so sweet! I went in and ordered a monster mash sundae, but they were of the reeces cups that make the ears. Ultimately, they came up with the idea for brownies as ears and it was both 10× more delicious and cute!

Okay, first off- great service. Jen H is personable and checked in on us throughout the meal JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT. The food was pretty solid, but they really, REALLY need to bring back that stroganoff. Atmosphere is… Friendlys. Been to one, been to them all. But it’s clean. Bathroom hand soap is slimy, so be prepared to rinse your hands for an extra 2 minutes. THANK YOU AGAIN, JEN!!

My wife knows Freindly's, but I know she hasn't been there in years, as we live in a different area. Very good Patty Melt and fries, plus a shake... Delish! Got in and out quicker than we had hoped. Why bother with sitting down to fast food when this is nearly as quick?

We stopped here on our way back to Bingamton after visiting Syracuse. The staff were pleasant and kind, and the wait was decent. Our server was a bit busy so didn't check on us nearly as quickly as I was expecting, but all in all between the food and the service. It was pretty good. If your on I81 and haven't had Friendlys in awhile, stop in and give them a go. You won't be disappointed!

So glad there's still a Friendly's nearby! Haven't had their food in almost 10 years but nothing has changed, the food is still delicious! My go to is the BBQ chicken bacon melt, can never go wrong with that. They have a delicious variety of ice cream / sundaes to get as well. Perfect to come here with the family. Just came in 09/30/2024 and was looking at the dorito burger they have, well I'm allergic to beef but in my luck they have turkey patties! Never seen a resturant have those avaliable, the burger was delicious, flavorful, and a bit spicy. I highly recommend and I'll happily come back in again to demolish another.

For me Friendly’s is a trip back in time when they were all over my town. I have been to Friendly’s many a time and even waitressed there one summer 35 years ago. The food is always classic and I really enjoyed my huge Reese’s Pieces sundae!!

My sandwich was good, but lukewarm. Daughter and granddaughters meals were good. My 6 year old grandson's chicken tenders were over cooked, very dark and dry but he loved his fries and ice cream! 🍨 Sundaes were delicious. Hopefully they stay in business as sadly most Friendly's have closed. They had a decent lunch crowd. We will definitely return as long as they are there.

Second time coming to this location while returning from Florida. Very friendly service, food comes out really quickly and tastes great. I had the Dorito cool ranch chopped cheeseburger, and it was a huge mess. To be honest, it would be better not chopped up, but still tasted fine. We also ordered the Philly steak and cheese sandwich.

Finally got to try Friendly's while in Cortland. Very enjoyable and very glad I got to try it. I know the waitress we had was really new so I applaud her for dealing with our big group and separate checks which we had to fix but the whole experience was great. Definitely plan on going if you want to try it out.

I saw all the tables with different ice cream. I wish I'd had more room because they looked so good. I'd definitely go back and try a dessert next time.

I gave them three stars because we got charged incorrectly. They were overcharging the ice cream items. We had to have them remove stuff and then they didn't still give us the discount for the ice cream that came with the meal. So we end up overpaying. And we just got tired of telling them to fix it so we just dealt with it. Otherwise they could have gotten four stars

Slow seating, slow taking order, long wait for food. The food was good, ice cream was a little small, but it tasted great. The check was incorrect and couldn't get them to fix it with multiple tries, at first, we were overcharged $8, second time they took $3 off, so ended up $5 over. So sad that Friendly's can't execute better and that's the reason there are less and less of them. The manager who I didn't deal with directly was not nice to or professional with the staff which was also disappointing to see.

The restaurant felt a bit dated but I think that's intentional to bring back memories of childhood. The service was great. The food while filling and good wasn't anything to write home about. Very family friendly. When I'm looking for a simple meal I will eat here again.

This... this is not acceptable. Your serving people craft macaroni lmao. You gave this to my 25 year old wife... she's not 5yrs old and wanted a good macaroni. Not somthing that comes from a box at walmart... i mean look at it! It's 100% craft lol. Also, I ordered a burger and let me just say.. idk of it was old or the burgers are not fresh. But that was one of the worst burgers I've ever had. McDonald's is even better!!! This is why a lot of your locations shut down. No respect for food at all. If your going to make all this pretty looking food, at least make it real and taste good. No frozen garbage, no craft macaroni.... you can do better than that.

They are starting to add some good things to the menu so it has more dinner offerings which is good. However, the tables are very close together so you feel like your eating on someone else's lap. Also there's always alot of dust and just generally not very clean atmosphere. I'm sure this is difficult to maintain with the vast amounts of small children that are usually there so I don't completely blame them. The food is constantly good, nothing special but my son really likes it. It is a chain so it's not like they have alot of wiggle room to deviate from standard procedures and do something amazing. Still the best place in town to sit down and have ice cream. The waitstaff is helpful, friendly and hard working. Please tip them well :)

I hadn't been to a Friendly's in a while but I THOUGHT they served breakfast all day. I had the super tuna melt and my boyfriend (vegetarian) had the ultimate grilled cheese. We also got a side of onion rings to share and each got tomato basil soup for dipping. Everything was yummy but not much different grease-wise than Denny's. I guess I should have checked ahead of time about the breakfast thing, and the server was nice enough but the coffee was cold and she forgot to bring us new cups of coffee until we were about ready to leave.

I have soy and gluten allergies and asked for an allergy menu. The hostess rudely stated it was online. It wasn't. I tried explaining it to our waitress, and she did not offer alternatives or try to help. Just stated there was nothing she could do. This is partly why chains as such are going out of business, their staff is killing business. It really wasn't that busy either.

When my family and I walked in, it took a solid five minutes to seat us, along with the three parties behind us. The restaurant was not busy in the slightest. The person who sat us acted like she was doing us a favor. She was very impolite. Our server was delightful though. However, the mayonnaise that was given to my grandmother to put on her sandwich was dried out. The chicken in my quesadillas had crunchy pieces of fat in it and the thought of it is making me nauseous. The restaurant itself is pretty dirty. Despite all of this, the ice cream was delicious as usual.

Very disappointed!!! Was just informed that most of their dietary foods are being taken off of the menu especially for those of us who are gluten free. Basically salads are left for those who are gluten free. I feel sorry for the staff who are going to lose some of their favorite paying customers due to the company's huge mistake. The staff are amazing 👏

Not GF friendly! I have celiacs, I am not usually affected by cross contamination, so I try not to make a big deal when ordering. I requested a burger on the lettuce but was served a burger on a regular roll. I told them I couldn't have that due to my allergy and that it had to be remade. It came out very shortly after on the lettuce. I verified it was actually remade and ate it. Not even 5 minutes later, I was in so much pain that I had to leave and go to the car.

Dirty, nasty restaurant. Some food preparation workers were preparing food without gloves during my visit. Obviously sick, some were coughing with no attempt to cover their mouth or nose. Two employees were observed wiping their runny noses at the food prep area, within sight of the counter line. I won't go back again . I was grossed out. Food was bad.

I'm sorry to say, but my recent experience at this restaurant was incredibly disappointing. Upon arrival, my party and I stood at the entrance for what felt like an eternity, waiting for someone to seat us. Despite several waitresses and employees passing by, not a single person acknowledged our presence or made any effort to assist us. It was as if we were invisible. The lack of basic courtesy and attention to customers was truly disheartening. Needless to say, we left feeling completely ignored and undervalued. I would caution anyone considering dining at this restaurant to think twice before subjecting themselves to such neglectful service. How ironic that this restaurant is not “friendly”at all.

Everytime I'm here during the day the service and food are great but when I order ice cream at night they clearly have no idea what they're doing. They forgot all of my add ins in my fribble this time and messed up my sundae the previous time I ordered. There were multiple people just running around in the kitchen that looked like they didn't know what they were doing. I showed up 15 minutes after it said that my order was ready and they didn't even start it until I was there. I will not be going back or ordering at night again :(

My takeout experience was poor. Items were missing from my order, they replaced an adult wrap entree with a children's size and did not say anything. The portion sizes were extremely small and different from when you dine in. The wait staff was kind and friendly, though. We will not be returning, unfortunately. This is sad because friendlys has been a great family restaurant for many years.

We were there for over 2hrs from start to finish, not impressed by the food that took forever to come out. While we waited we could see the kitchen and there was a plate of sliders in the kitchen waiting to be delivered to a customer, they sat there at least 10 min before they were served. After our meal we ordered sundaes their were for of us in our group, they brought them out in a to go bag, I was like really how am I supposed to eat this while driving. No we weren't even asked if we were taking them to go. Oh another thing our bill was over $130, Wich wouldn't have been to horrible if the food was actually good. We will never be eating here again.

There were 8 people making to go ice cream and took over 40 minutes to get 2 friend-z. After ordering online 45 ahead of ahead. Still wasn’t ready 15 minutes after the pick up time. I would suggest getting ice cream elsewhere.

We entered and waited to be seated as per the sign. They look to be only one booth of people in the restaurant at the time. We waited 5 minutes to be seated, and no one greeted us…three or four employees looked at us, but no one said a single word to us. We left and went to Denny’s just down the street across the road and had a completely different experience. We got seated right away, employees were fabulous, as was the food. So if you’re in the vicinity, bypass Friendly’s, which was very unfriendly and go straight to Denny’s.

When we got there the kids were excited, we continued to wait then watched the kitchen pick up food OFF the floor and put it back on a plate to continue to serve it!!!
