Great place for lunch or dinner, delicious food, great drinks🍸 does get busy for both lunch and dinner also has patio area👍.
Oh my! Found on Find Me Gluten Free app and did not disappoint! So accommodating, friendly, professional and may I say: delicious! From the roasted salsa, to special made tortilla chips, veggie fajitas…… just can’t say enough. If you are in this neighborhood, these lovely people will take excellent care of your celiac needs. Muchas gracias!
The food was great. Took the dog with me and sat outside. They even brought him a bowl of water
The staff is so friendly and attentive. Service is great and the food is also very good.
Had a lovely lunch in a comfy booth with a friend. The chicken enchiladas with creamy sauce was very different and quite delicious!😋. Walked around the block afterwards to see store windows in downtown Covina!
I was pretty skeptical about trying this place out but, I’m glad that end up eating here. I truly enjoyed the food and vibe. Best mole I ever had. Seriously it had so much flavor. I will definitely make the drive again to eat at this place.
I ordered the $12.99 lunch special which came with a nice-sized beef flauta, rice and beans. The flavor of the food is authentic Mexican, my entire plate was delicious and the serving size is perfect.
Everything here is delicious. Drinks are fun with some unusual choices. Staff is attentive and sweet. Mariachis add to the fun atmosphere.
This restaurant is located at old town Covina, a place I drove by many years, but never stopped to walk around. In short, this place provides a very relaxing dining environment. Everything is great, from food, drink, to customer service. There are other restaurants in this area to try, but definitely will come back to this one in the future.
Shout out to Susan! You rock! So I can't believe I've never been here! First of all, the service was phenomenal, excellent staff, and atmosphere. Positive vibes! Now let's get to the food. Holy crapola, the food there is amazing! I had the posole, and it was pretty amazing. My brother's had steak picado and carne asada plate, and they both said it was great. My sister had the house mole she said it was fantastic! We all had a couple of the house margaritas, and they were perfectly made. Not too much tequila, not too sweet, excellent! Definitely should go!
OMG.....that's all 🥳 was a rainy day and ordered Pazole Verde (hard to find) to go for the office 🏬 everyone loved it and the service was above and beyond 😀 offering help out to the car and box to carry out. Yummmmm we will be ordering again and will take advantage on eating in great atmosphere 👌
Cranberry Mimosas 😋 🥂, Pozole 😋❤️ Brunch on the Patio for my "Bestie's" Mom 🎂🎈 Very nice 🙂 VIP status 😘, TY Casa Moreno for the great service. Can't wait to go back 😄. That negative review u received was over the top, Kinda felt like they have something personal against the owner 🤷 . I have never had a bad experience here.
Came here after looking for something good to eat and this place didn’t disappoint. The food is authentic and the atmosphere is great. Live mariachi’s playing while you eat. Service was great and the food was hot and tasty. Definitely will be back again sooner than later. I think this is my new Mexican spot.
I love this place I have been eating here for at least 5 years now and I was so disappointed today. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant where they charge you for chips and salsa. Not sure when that changed but I love being able to eat chips and salsa along with my food. When your food dish is $20 I shouldn’t have to pay extra for chips and salsa. Food has always been great, service has always been great but I will prob just start taking food home.
We had a party of 14. Some restaurants deal with large parties inefficiently, but Casa Moreno did a good job. Our server kept my unsweetened iced tea coming. My order, and the orders of the others in our party were filled accurately and expeditiously. The chips and salsa that we got soon after our arrival included excellent chips, but weak, watery salsa. My main course, a burrito, was tasty. If you are in Covina CA and you want a Mexican meal, Casa Moreno is available.
Small fish with very little salad for a dinner plate. I have expected that this restaurant is not going to have good food, since it is located in a very popular area in downtown Covina. Even though if they don't have good food, people will still come in for the location and atmosphere. Well, I was right! First, it is about the difficulty of parking. You have to wait, fight, or walking, so you can get here. The restaurant is well remodeled and spacious inside out. They also had a band which was supposed to play those loud, but happy traditional Mexican music. However, it turned out to be like a joke and very disappointing to me. It was not loud, since no microphone or speakers, so the band sounded very weak and lacking of party spirit ! Talking about the food, I ordered a 26 dollars, traditional Mexican Talapia plate, but it was not an whole fish with skin on, but a maybe frozen fish meat without skin and head, tail... The worst thing is about the salad: it was about one table spoon of salad ! This was very low quality, cheap and very disappointing. Well, the music was terrible, the food was little, but it did taste OK, just to be fair.
The menu prices on the website need to be updated, my Ensalada Azteca is listed at $12.95 but it's $19.95 now. It was tasty but overdressed so it got soggy fairly quickly, it would benefit from a heartier mix of greens (it says "mixed greens" but it was basically shredded iceberg with a bit of shredded carrots) to keep up with the carne asada. The wet burrito would look better with some parsley garnish or something to offset the sea of red salsa (it was supposed to be green salsa). The Mololitos were tasty but when the server asked if I liked chorizo I assumed it came with the dish as I did not see any options listed, nor did he mention an additional charge (and it would've been better without it) there was a $4 upcharge. When our food was served, one of the two dishes was not ours and it took about 10 mns to get my plate. Neither time did the female server take the empty appetizer dish, she may be new The house margarita was delicious!
Service is slow. Arrived earlier in the day and left when no server helped us. Not too accommodating to those with special needs. Hours displayed on the door are different than online. Online stated they closed at 930pm, arrived at 9pm and they said they were closed. Lots of people still eating inside.
Everything about this place sucked from the food to the service the enchiladas looked liked a baby barfed all over my plate along with it tasting just as bad as if it was actual sour barf so I sent my food back My boyfriend ordered POZOLE it had a tiny bit of shredded meat and cold homony the teenage waiter just put my BF bowl on the table and walked away without even asking if we needed anything else it took 10 minutes to find him just to ask for the fixings that should've came with it just to be told they don't serve tortillas with POZOLE it only comes with 2 fake tostadas which made no sense because the ladies next to us had tortillas with there nasty POZOLE ..... BTW the owner is super rude and she is not one bit professional about this issue and her disgusting food that alot of people seem to complain about on Google and Yelp along with thinking she shouldn't train her staff better it seems the bad reviews out weigh the good maybe she should stop harassing someone just leaving an honest review on this disgusting place
Worst fish tacos ever PLUS WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Dry and tasteless fish tacos and the fish tasted spoiled and NOT FRESH!!! When waiter asked manager for help, she stated that she cannot do anything and will still charge me full price with a mocking smile!!! NEVER again!!! Yuck!!! Now I feel sick. I hope I don't end up in the hospital!!! Check out Amor y Tacos instead! Or El Torito!!! They never disappoint!!!
