Tried the Portuguese omelette - it was delicious, bell peppers well cooked but not overcooked, the tastes from the sausage and bacon blend perfectly with veggies and eggs. Potatoes are air fried (not dripping with oil which I don’t like). Overall, great experience, will be my go-to breakfast place when visiting Culver city.
Spent a part of my Friday morning grabbing a delicious breakfast here at Breakfast Republic in Culver City and will definitely be returning. My server, Karla, was enthusiastic and attentive. She answered any questions I had and was on top of it! In addition to one of my entrees, I also had the avocado toast. It was perfect!
Soooo yummy. We got the french toast flight (Mr. Presley, banana brulee, smores) and it was....AMAZING. It was sizable but I bet I could've finished it myself if I didn't get another entree. I got the mushrooms & pesto eggs Benedict, also great: lots of flavor and the side potatoes were extra crispy without being greasy. My friend didn't like his bloody mary though, it was too spicy.
I had placed an order with door dash and food was taken by accident staff was very helpful in making sure to get my order again in a timely manner. Things happen but this team on 2/13/26 did not let it feel like a bad day. They made me feel heard and seen by making the order again. Appreciate they did this they all deserve a raise.
Went there for breakfast with a friend in visiting in California. Service was great and fast (we actually were too slow cause before coffee it's hard for us to concentrate). I tried the chilaquieles and the cafe de olla. They were so good, I found my new favorite coffee. It has plenty of outdoor seating too but no one was sitting outside so we sat at a table that was next to the open door so it almost felt like we were outside. If I lived here, I would meet friends for breakfast there often.
Luis is the absolute best! This was one of my first spots to visit in LA and I’m soooo glad we did. The weather was perfect to sit outside and with the food it was amazing. Personally it wasn’t my favorite Bloody Mary but the toppings and the rim were 10/10
Excellent egg restaurant. A great variety of choices. Presentation definitely matters. The food is crafted and designed to look delicious. The theming is very spot on too. Condiments, plates, store, atmosphere all lend to the feel. Can't really go wrong with any choice here. Odd thing I noticed is practically every dish was chipped. Not sure if that was part of the theme (cracked egg), but if unintentional, its smart.
It was my 1st time visiting Breakfast Republic and the food was incredible! I ordered the Cluck Madame and the flavor of the Béchamel sauce was so good. The green sauce garnish (don’t know what is called) is a great touch. I also loved how “clean” my plate looked when it came out. The home fries were not greasy or messy. They actually had a bit of a crispness to them which is something I prefer. In regard to service, it was okay. When we walked up there wasn’t a host to greet us and we weren’t sure if it was seat yourself. There also seemed to be one server on duty that was covering all the tables inside and outside. It made getting our drinks and the check slow.
The breakfast here was outstanding! I got the chilaquiles with the added steak and it was phenomenal. My kids got the Mac and cheese and Oreo pancakes which were also scratch made. There were many other items that I wanted to order. I can't wait to go back and try something else that I'm sure is equally delicious. Just go here and get anything. 10/10 recommend
I grew up in San Diego, but moved to Los Angeles a number of years ago. I used to go to Breakfast Republic at many locations throughout San Diego since 2015 when they opened and every single time it’s consistently a delicious breakfast. This Culver City location was the same as the others in that it was also great. It was a taste of home. They have some really great options on the menu and they update it often. Service was really quick and she did a great job checking in on us. When we arrived, we had to wait 20 minutes to sit down for a 10 AM Saturday breakfast but the wait was worth it. I ordered the Cluck Madame and added avocado, which is one of my favorite Eggs Benedicts that I have ever had. I also ordered a side of Jurassic Pork and a Bacon Cheddar Sausage. The only issue I had was that my eggs were cooked too much so they were almost poached hard. They were not runny at all sadly but still it was very tasty. We topped off the meal with a Salted Caramel Latte and it too had great flavors. I think it’s one of the better breakfasts in Los Angeles, and I would highly recommend to anyone. I definitely will be back.
Our 1st time there, to this refreshing breakfast spit, our waitress greeted us with a nice and warm smile. The place itself is well maintained. We ordered a breakfast burrito, the American with a coconut lemon pancake, and 3 buttermilk pancakes and a side of eggs. We drank waters, hot tea, and a Berry lemonade. The food was fresh, tasting, and tasty. They have merchandise you can. My mom bought the egg salt and pepper shakers. Nice cozy spot to eat.
Our server Joe was so sweet, funny, and knowledgeable about the menu! He was very attentive and enthusiastic, making sure we had a great experience. The gluten free cinnamon raisin french toast was good, I’m glad my server recommended it as I don’t find gluten free french toast that often! My friend got strawberry cheesecake pancakes which were great as well.
First time here & it was awesome! I brought my wife out for brunch. Orange Fanta on tap!!!! The eggs benedict was epic! It was busy but not packed. The server was so dope & friendly & got us the last French toast! I couldn't finish my food lol. Everyone was pretty & nice. They are open until 3.
I usually don’t write reviews but just had to. I had an amazing brunch today at Breakfast Republic! Our server Joe was the highlight of our experience. He was amazing! He provided the best customer service, hospitality, and laughter! I will be back soon and hope to see Joe as my server again, thank you!
Love the vibes of this place ! Open really early (we caught breakfast before flying out). No reservations - all positive vibes / quotes on the walls. The menu is so diverse and the portions are huge! Loved the fennel sausage and their Oreo latte is actually not sickeningly sweet. 10/10 The service was also impeccable and fast.
Everything was excellent! TJ was our server and he was awesome! The food was delicious! I had the breakfast jambalaya, which everyone at the table tried and loved. My husband had the cinnamon raisin French toast on TJ’s suggestion and loved it. Kiddos both had pancakes, and the servings were huge! The toppings were all super fresh and it was all presented beautifully. The food came out quick and we never had an empty cup through our whole meal. We live 6 hours away (in town for a taping) but will definitely be back next time we’re in LA!
Our new favorite breakfast spot. I came with my son and daughter and if not for the massive portion sizes their plates would have been licked clean. Our server, Luis, was incredibly friendly and made great recommendations for the table (chilaquiles were the right choice)! We are so glad to have found this spot. Make sure you get here early because by the time we were leaving (9am) there was already a wait (and it’s raining!)
Breakfast burrito was among the best I’ve ever had! I also highly recommend the chicken sausage omelet. Marquis was the BEST! Thank you for making us feel welcome and for helping us kick off our honeymoon celebration!
We love breakfast here. The menu has delicious & great choices and the services is great. Check out our video review @TripoutwithSadieandRandThom
Ambiance: This place is very cute inside, it's what you'd expect from a brunch place in a good way. Service: we went on the weekend and there was a bit of a wait, didn't take as long as we thought to get a table and place our order. Server and hostess were kind and helpful. Food: I enjoyed everything I had. Chefs kiss for the chilaquiles who surprised me with how good it was, the breakfast republic latte was my favorite thing it was perfection and I'm sad I didn't get the larger size! We also got the pancake sampler which was decent but nothing super special.
Came in for breakfast with a friend and had a lovely experience. Drinks: - Café de Olla: My bestie ordered this and really enjoyed it! Tasty and bottomless to boot! - Breakfast Republic Latte: This latte was very balanced and not too sweet. I added stevia after it arrived because I treat my coffee like dessert. Food: -American: This was absolutely delicious. They give you the option of bacon or sausage and I didn't want to choose so I ordered an extra side of bacon to add to the Portuguese sausage that my meal was coming with. I also upgraded the potatoes for a $4 upcharge, worth it! The addition of brussel sprouts and chopped bacon did something to my soul. The house ketchup was tasty and made me keep coming back for more. The fresh housemade preserve that came with my English muffin was so amazing I asked for extra to go. -Pancake Flight: I would like to propose to whoever thought this was a good idea because it is in fact brilliant!! For our 3 pancakes we chose: Cinnamon Roll, Oreo, and Churro. They were all so delicious that we really didn't even need butter or syrup. They were just that good and uniquely each their own thing. I am determined to try the pineapple upside down pancake next time. -The Chilaquiles with Carne Asada: My bestie loved these and raved about the black beans. The Service: This place was pretty packed on a Saturday morning, but they do a good job of steadily pumping the food out of the kitchen. We could tell our waitress was juggling a lot of tables, but everyone was super helpful whenever we asked for anything. 10 outta 10
We went at 8am on Saturday wasn’t packed we didn’t wait to sit down. Our waitress wasn’t the best she looked like in a bad mood only check up on us twice that’s when our food and for the check. We had to flag the bus boy when we needed something. It wasn’t even packed. But the food overall was amazing Hot Chocolate 10/10, Ube Latte 7.5/10, Breakfast Burger 8.5/10, Breakfast Sammie 7/10(not that filling), Protein Waffles 7/10 (needed more flavor), Steak and eggs 1,000/10 (the steak was Well done) Will definitely go back early. I know after 9am you do have to wait.
Eggs Benedict 11/10 must try Strawberry and marscapone French toast DELICIOUS
The Oreo Latte, Chilaquiles, Coffee Cake, Vegetarian Tostadas and Eggs Benefict were outstanding. Especially loved the Bloody Maria cocktail. Lovely ambience, and the service was amazing. We were seated in 10-15 minutes as a group of 7. Nobody paid more than 25-30 dollars per person and they let us pay separately. All in all would definitely come back for the huge portions and great taste.

We went on a Tuesday. Service was fast and food was quite good. Pretty good prices for LA. Slightly too loud atmosphere but normal for the setting.

I had an incredible experience at Breakfast Republic in California and had to share just how fantastic everything was. From the moment my daughter and I walked in, we were greeted with a welcoming atmosphere, amazing food, and service that went far above and beyond. I ordered the California Breakfast Burrito, and it was phenomenal. Perfectly balanced flavors, fresh ingredients, and honestly one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. My daughter went with the Crab & Crawfish Cake Benedict, and she couldn’t stop talking about it—the flavor was rich, unique, and absolutely delicious. And I have to say, their Bloody Marys are the best I’ve ever had. Bold, flavorful, and perfectly crafted. But the highlight of our visit was our server, Joe. Joe made our entire experience unforgettable. He was warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive. He anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask, offered great recommendations, checked in at the perfect moments, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. It’s rare these days to find a server who not only provides excellent service but truly seems to enjoy creating a great experience for guests. Joe did exactly that. Between the amazing food, the relaxed atmosphere, and the exceptional service, especially thanks to Joe. Breakfast Republic has absolutely earned all five stars. We can’t wait to come back!
Joe is a fantastic server - funny and excellent all around. His personality is very bubbly and he’s easy to talk to. He listened to what I needed and I had an awesome brunch. Joe + the great food + the atmosphere, 10/10 highly recommend.
I decided to travel along on my husband's work trip and we found ourself at Breakfast Republic and OMG let me just tell you we had the most amazing time with the greatest server! His name was Joe and he was so welcoming and engaging (us traveling from Texas) and the nicest! We had great service, he even talked us into two bottles of champagne and we loved every bit of it! I highly recommend this place, the area is incredible, just sooo Cali! It's super clean and the food, also amazing! We will make another stop here in Culver City at Breakfast Republic when we visit again!
I had a fantastic experience at this breakfast spot. The service is truly wonderful — the entire staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely seems to care about their guests. My waiter, Joe, deserves a special shout-out. He went above and beyond to make sure my day started with a smile, checking in at just the right moments and offering thoughtful suggestions without ever feeling intrusive. It’s rare to find a place where the atmosphere feels warm from the moment you walk in, but this spot has mastered it. Great service can transform a meal, and Joe made this one exceptional. Highly recommend starting your morning here — you’ll leave happier than you arrived.
Had an awesome brunch experience on Saturday! The food was super good and the mimosas were on point. What really made our visit stand out was our server, Luis. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we always had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. He gave great recommendations and kept the vibe fun and relaxed. If you come here for brunch, definitely ask for Luis, he’ll make your whole experience better! The chilaquiles with carne asada are amazing

This is my second time here and I enjoyed the experience. It is a fun neighborhood restaurant near the start of downtown Culver City. The food isn’t anything spectacular, it is solidly good. They price it as such and is an adequate eating experience. They have some fun unique items (such as ube latte) scattered throughout the menu, and have picture worthy presentation for some items. They definitely focus more on the environment here. It is a lively spot and attracts groups of people looking for a fun brunch. They do a good job catering to this, offering mimosas and providing indoor and outdoor seating to both large and small groups. Overall, a fun restaurant worth visiting every so often.
We came to this location before heading to the football game. We got the chilequiles plates the black beans were so good, the steak and eggs, the steak had a guacamole sauce on top which was really good. . Food was really good, not a good variety of coffee, the iced latte was really strong. But the atmosphere and the service was great.
Party of 4, price was good, food was really good. Only Thing was the one of the pipes/roof was leaking the whole time right where I was sitting and hitting my shoulder. I moved over to the very edge of our table to avoid. We debated saying anything but at the end while I was in the restroom (which was clean and the design is fun) my family told our waiter Joe, it seemed Joe wasnt enthused at being told about the leak and the small puddle that had formed was not cleaned up and no offer to comp anything. Overall we decided that we would still go back but maybe a different location or I should've spoken up sooner to have us moved but idk it was busy and I wasn't sure if they could get a new table and idk I was feeling like I didn't want to make a fuss. Dog friendly and for party of 4 inside waited for less than 20 minutes at about 10 am.
Just went to try this place after driving by it for months. Read the reviews, good and bad, and decided that I need to try this place myself. Firstly the staff here were very friendly but they weren't very busy. We were seated immediately and shortly thereafter one of the wait staff to out orders. I was extremely hungry due to fasting the day before... Don't ask... Lol. I ordered the shrimp and grits as well as the brussel sprout potatoes. The shrimp and grits were delicious! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of spice and heat to balance the grits. The grits themselves had a great texture and there was a liberal sprinkling of whole corn kernels on top for more texture and sweetness. The three over medium eggs were superfluous but added another taste to the mix. The brussel sprout potatoes were pretty good but I don't think the vegetable and potato melted well together. It was very tasty but the potato texture didn't really go with the crunch and firmness of the sprouts. Having said this I would probably get it again. My wife got the vegan breakfast burrito that was huge and delicious per her account. She was only able to finish half of it and we took the rest back home for later. I will definitely be going back to this great place to try their other dishes!
Shrimp fritatta was just okay. I thought eggs were a tad overcooked and dish was underseasoned. Potatoes with brussel sprouts and without bacon was tasty. I was interested in getting the specialty pancakes but upon my arrival, my waiter acted irritated and dismissive of me so I opted not to. Fresh squeezed orange juice hit the spot. I would give them another try but not with the same waitperson.
in all seriousness the service is absolutely wonderful. Each staff member is kind and bring a great welcoming energy. The orange juice was fresh, delicious and everything I anticipated. However, the food is another topic of discussion I will address. I had ordered the chilaquiles from this restaurant and don’t crucify me for it with question like “what do you expect?”. But, as someone who has a liking for any attempt at making Mexican cuisine this was not it. I personally felt like the salsa for the chilaquiles was the issue. For some reason it was very acidic but tomato-y, missing spices I am quite familiar with, and lacked a lot of that at home flavor that one anticipates. My boyfriend had also ordered the breakfast burrito, and which he added lacked flavor and was in his words “really bland and it’s a breakfast burrito”. To be honest it felt like the burrito itself was missing a seasoning, maybe salt? maybe pepper? maybe chili? I personally couldn’t put my tongue on it. The rice itself was also very dry and not as rich as one may desire. The beans however, all in all completed their task and felt like one of the only better parts of this meal. in terms of price it wasn’t too expensive relatively speaking, about fifty dollars (does not include tip) but, I feel that a meal at home would’ve saved me time and money. Whatever it may be if you expect anything astounding from those 2 dishes I suggest ordering something else, maybe you might be better off than we were.
There were fruit flies hovering around the entire time that I was eating. I like the vegan menu options but their "ketchup style sauce" is odd. Also only one waitress for the whole restaurant?

Food: my plate was not fresh. I ordered scrambled eggs with house potatoes and had no taste, no flavor. It seemed to be saved from another day and no made to order. My wife said the same for her chilaquiles. My sausage was almost raw, not enough cooked and hard to chew. Service: they forgot items several times. Forgot to serve the coffe, forgot the bread on my plate. Atmosphere: too crowded and too loud. Also music was too loud. Not the perfect place to enjoy the food in a relax mood or a talk mood at a normal level.

This was one of the most disappointing breakfast experiences I’ve had and I’ve worked in restaurants for years. It took 20 minutes just to receive waters and 45 minutes to get our food. When it finally arrived, none of it was hot. One plate even had an undercooked chicken sausage, and the breakfast sandwich tasted like it had been sitting out as the bottom bread was soggy. I should have ordered the bacon extra crispy from the start, but when I asked if they could make it crispy, the staff was polite. However, it came out exactly the same as before: soft and floppy. I’ve never been to a restaurant that couldn’t make crispy bacon. The sandwich itself was not enjoyable. I took two bites and left the rest. When the server brought the check, they didn’t ask if everything was okay, even though my plate was basically untouched. At that point, I wish I had asked for a refund.
Don't come here for mexican food. The locals favorite is chilaqules, my wife got them and brother in law. My brother left his whole meal untouched because it was gross. Wife also got some extra stake for 5-6 bucks and if you see in the picture, they gave her barely anything. Over priced and over hyped. Don't come here. No parking and they forgot about us for awhile... We had to waive the servers down.
