The food is good, what I ordered that day Was a regular breakfast, but it didn't have any seasoning. I didn't like it at all. I also ordered a champurrado, it was good. It's not delicious but good enough. In my opinion, everything here is a little overpriced.
A friend had told me about Saby's Cafe several months ago, but unfortunately it took us this long to find this hidden treasure! This local run business is AMAZING! Everyone who works here is so super friendly and helpful, and to top it off the food is delicious! We have been hooked on the breakfast burritos and have been eating here weekly since we have found this great spot. Highly recommend you getting hooked as well. You won't be disappointed!
The restaurant offers great and friendly service alongside delicious, freshly cooked meals. There's been a positive response to the new management and updated menus. Although they opened just before the onset of COVID-19, they have successfully adapted to the challenges posed by the pandemic. When indoor seating was restricted, the restaurant created a lovely outdoor seating area to accommodate guests. Additionally, they serve morning coffee and freshly baked bread, which have received favorable reviews from patrons.
Best mexican breakfast I've ever had and the friendliest service around. The breakfast burrito was absolutely top tier. Looking forward to trying more of the menu as I will certainly be back here often for weekend breakfast/ brunch.
Saby’s new owners know what they are doing! I went for the first time yesterday and had the quesadilla. The fresh tortillas are absolutely to die for! My partner had the fish tacos and couldn’t stop raving about them. We loved it so much that we went again this morning for breakfast. The bread is made in house and the chilaquiles are saucy. We chatted with the new owner and she told us they make all the salsas, bread and tortillas in house. They don’t mess around here.
My new favorite Mexican food place! Huevos Rancheros were amazing, Chilaquiles were amazing, the baked goods are unreal. The staff is SO friendly and the ambience is adorable. I will be returning often.
We just had breakfast here (Huevos Rancheros and Chilaquiles plus lattes to drink) and it was the tastiest Mexican brekki we’ve had in the west side period. There was no line, and the outdoor seating is shaded and cozy with lots of lovely plants. Love the decor of this place too with cool art and Mexican aesthetic. They also let us try a pastry on the house as a holiday treat which was so kind. We’ll be coming back for sure!!
I don’t usually right reviews but the moment I sipped on their cafe de olla I knew I had to! Chipotle burrito was amazing and while I ordered ahead my food was warm and ready for pick up! 12/10 worth every cent!
First time we ordered from here. OMG best food ever. I think I could eat there every day ❤️ We ordered the Chicken enchiladas and Chicken fajitas. Great flavor with a little bite.
The grilled fish tacos are the only thing I've had off the menu and they are really good. Make sure to specify grilled. They had incredible tamales around Christmas.
The vegetarian breakfast burrito is super delicious (with soyrizo). Fair price and friendly staff. For coffee lover: Try their Mexican cinnamon coffee, it's great!
Absolutely the best Mexican food in west la! The atmosphere is fun and authentic. The food is fire!!! We’re major fans of the surf and turf burrito and blue corn quesadilla!
Excellent breakfast burritos and great service - Javier was extremely helpful and welcoming.
It was great, food was good. Nice seating area. I asked for to go since i don't finish my food but I wanted to dine in. They were super nice and accommodating. The Blue corn latte was amazing. Definitely on my regular spots to come by.
The food was really good. The Chipotle burrito was very tasty and filling. My husband, who does not tend to like Mexican style foods, cleaned his plate. The fruit atop of the pancakes and French toast were fresh and sweet. The location isn't far from LAX so it is a great spot check out after a flight.
Authentic Mexican cuisine, reasonably priced! I didn’t get to try the coffee today but I’ll be back! My burrito was incredible! there were definitely some beautiful touches of home made goodness! Will recommend 100%
I’ve been coming for a while for the tacos, which are great! But just had the California Burrito w/ al pastor. I can’t say enough about it….so delicious!!! I live nearby and am thrilled to see the success of Saby’s these days.
The person who helped me today named Javier was super friendly and helpful. The tacos were good, multiple options for sauce which was nice, and the food was prepared well. Nicely sized portions of food for a good price. Definitely would go here again, better than the other Mexican restaurants in the area and definitely better service
One of the best Mexican spots in the states! Been blown away by their chilaquiles & machaca burrito! Literally the best chilaquiles I’ve had in the states and I’ve had over 30 different spots from, Cali to New Mexico to Texas. Service is great as well! Highly recommend if you’re looking for the highest of quality Mexican food.
I’ve lived next door to Saby for a few years now. Since I first sat down on their fruit-tree covered patio with my pops, I’ve been a fan. The owner and staff are personable and always seem to have a smile on. But the clincher is the food. I am confident that anything you choose to order will be amazing. Everything is fresh. The meats are all cooked perfectly. The carnitas have that nice thin crunchy layer on one side. My dad used to take the salsas home to eat with his breakfast the next day. I haven’t had the pleasure of trying the coffee but they offer a full menu of coffee drinks and fresh squeezed orange juice. Oh and they make the blue corn tortillas in house! Great place, HIGHLY recommend. Enjoy!
I’ve been three times now and everything I’ve ordered off the menu has been exceptional - fresh, delicious, and with high-quality ingredients. From the tacos to the plate of the day, it’s the best Mexican food I’ve had since moving to LA two years ago. I dream of the tortillas during the day, which are homemade. What’s more, the family who runs this place couldn’t be nicer and more of a pleasure to see. Can’t recommend this place enough!
Best burrito in LA!! That is a pretty massive claim to make as there are a lot of good options, but if you are a fan of dry crispy, flavorful bacon breakfast burritos there is no place better and I have had a lot of burritos in LA. The staff is also so friendly and it feels like a total family atmosphere.
Best burrito I have had in years. Killer
I’m not a breakfast burrito person, but when or if I do, it’s definitely going to be from Saby’s Oaxacan burrito! BBs are the EBC of California— everybody and their mom makes one, only a few can get it right. The flavors and ingredients just meld together here, and it’s very filling.
Guys. No need to search anymore. This place is it. Best breakfast burritos in all of LA, and huge portions. Their blue corn latte? One of the best coffees I've had in my life. I'm mind blown. It always hits the spot. Been coming here every weekend now.
Split a very delicious sausage breakfast burrito with a lady friend! Everything tasted really fresh and the ambiance was nice, staff was friendly! We also tried two of the sweets, not certain on the names but those were tasty as well!! Would def recommend and come again!
I don’t normally eat burritos, but I have to say how delicious and generously sized my al pastor burrito was! It had a nice balance of fresh ingredients—rice, beans, avocado, and al pastor meat—all wrapped in a soft, fresh tortilla. It wasn’t overly salty, and I could really taste the subtle spice flavors. The enchilada in green sauce was also delicately prepared and equally enjoyable. I ordered both to-go but ended up eating some there. Just a heads-up: seating is limited both inside and outside.
This is a great comma family run mexican place with delicious blue corn tortillas. The quesadillas are delicious.. They are huge, and filled with cheese and other goodies. This place has a very broad menu, and although I didn't try them. I've heard the French fries are delicious..
I had the torta chili chili really good. Could have shared it with a person
Absolutely love Saby’s! The food is so good! Great location, service and atmosphere. It’s a super cute spot! I love the green Chilaquiles, the quesadillas are really good too, it’s a big blue corn tortilla that’s really tasty and unique, also the pancakes are so good. Everything I’ve tried here is top notch! 💯♥️
Makes you feel home with your grandma. Food flavor is lovely. Family of 3
One of my favorite local go tos! Great portions (one taco is all i need here 🤯), amazing flavor, always fresh and the team here is SO friendly. Shrimp tacos are my go to but you really cant go wrong with anything on the menu.
Solid corner cafe w all day breakfast + full day menu, and delicious baked good. I had the breakfast burrito w added peppers. It came w eggs, bacon, cheese, potatoes and salsa. Burrito was delicious, right sized and right priced. Was around $8. I also had an apple fritter, cookie and pound cake w icing and sprinkles. All of those baked good were super tasty. I will for sure be back.
Food was delicious and the host was extremely kind. It is small but for a quick Date it was comfy. I had the huevos Ranchero wife had chillequiles and the first thing that caught my eye was the food presentation. It looked phenomenal and the smell had us drooling. Huevos Ranchero definitely was the best I've had away from home. Will be our go to spot next time we are in the area
Easily the best breakfast burrito in Los Angeles, hands down. I know this is a huge claim but this place backs it up. The exterior is a bit unassuming but very charming and has a great outdoor patio. The food is truly so delicious, I get the chipotle breakfast burrito with bacon and it’s perfectly executed. The Mexican coffee smacks as well. I have 0 notes the place is perfect
So far my favorite breakfast burrito in LA — the chipotle one is unreal. 🌯 Only note: please put your salsas in to-go ramekins or have a little condiment station! Every time I’m here I see customers wandering around like lost souls on a salsa quest
The Spanish latte is incredible. The whole place is so cute and the food is so good
Best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. Matcha is also decent. Excellent spot for a matcha + burrito brunch.
Excellent Mexican ( Oaxacan) food in Mar Vista. The food was delicious and nicely presented & service was friendly and attentive. We sat outside at a picnic table, which is fun in warm weather. There are several Oaxacan businesses in the area. Diversity like this is what makes LA great.
If you're in West LA and craving amazing Mexican food, Saby's is an absolute must. Their quesadilla is hands down the best I've had in the city — perfectly crispy on the outside, melty and flavorful on the inside. You can tell everything is made with care and love. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are generous, and the vibe is super welcoming. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down with friends, Saby's hits the spot every time. Do yourself a favor and try it — you won’t be disappointed!
JAVIER IS THEEEE GOAT✨ the chipotle chicken breakfast burrito could possibly create world peace with how unreal it tastes. Also the Spanish iced latte with oat >>> I actually transcended when I had it
Loved coming here to get breakfast burritos before but now their revamped coffee menu is what keeps me coming back. Must try the Channel Orange latte, and if you're adventurous, the Blue Corn latte. So unique and unexpectedly delicious
Our go-to spot for breakfast burritos and Mexican pastries! Love this little Mar Vista gem, the owners are so nice and the food is always good. Can’t go wrong with any of the breakfast burritos and the French toast is a treat.
Excellente experience! Love this place! One of, if not THEE best Breakfast burrito 🌯 I’ve had in the last 15 years! 🤩 Funny thing is I don’t like/eat egg hence the reason I don’t eat breakfast burritos too often but this Chipotle burrito with 🥓 bacon was awesome! 🥳 Great size too - I was good all day after that! What I liked most was the balance of ingredients in the burrito - it wasn’t 80% egg and very little everything else… the guacamole 🥑 , bacon, potatoes etc, all balanced - the tortillas chip were also nice & crunchy! Salsa - red & green-Perfect!😎 Flavor? Phenomenal!!! I can’t wait to go back to try another dish or different kind of burrito! 🤩
Loved this place! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The chilaquiles were delicious, the eggs were perfect, and the coffee hit the spot. Friendly service and cozy vibes make it an ideal way to start the day. Definitely coming back!
Fast and delicious. Exactly what I wanted, no frills huevos rancheros with just the right amount of spice. The tomato sauce was light and did not overbear flavors of the dish.
One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood. They truly have some of the best coffee around but the horchata matcha is to die for. You can’t go wrong with the food either. The patio fun to eat and hang and the staff is lovely. 10/10
Oh man. This place is fantastic. As you can see we tried a lot of food. The burritos were a big hit, as well as the tacos. But for me, the absolute must have - legendary item on this menu is the the Horchata Latte. Sweet baby Jesus it is good. Certainly top 3 for coffee drinks I’ve had in LA. It is soooooo dang good I would come back out of my way just for that latte. Man I would pay good money to know how to make a drink like that! Definitely will be back.
Great little spot for some tasty Mexican food and great coffee and juice drinks. Place has a great patio and great vibe. Super cute and the food is authentic too. Def will come back when in area.
Finally got to swing by here and boy was it worth it. the café is small but has outdoor seating, you walk in to order and there's smell of chorizo and eggs in the air. And they have a bunch of fun burrito options and everyone we've had has been dope. Maybe my favorite breakfast burrito now.
Lovely spot with Mexican-inspired dishes and drinks. Some indoor seating, lots of outdoor sidewalk seating. Mole enchiladas were so so good!
Delicious breakfast burritos, salsa & chips, and coffee. I recommend to order ahead as it can get busy. Rolled up on a Sunday at noon and had to wait for food for a while since it was packed. Worth it though since the vibe was good and food was delicious! Breakfast burritos come with chips and salsa. I got the sweet and sabys which had a sweet flavor and paired well with the spicy red salsa.

Absolutely fire breakfast burritos and coffee (get the Spanish latte)! Cute outdoor seating as well.

Best chilaquiles in town. Also the breakfast burritos are legit.

My experience at Saby’s is always phenomenal. I live close by and this has turned into my go to weekend brunch spot. The food is incredible (I get the chipotle chicken breakfast burrito) almost every time and it never fails to disappoint. Sometimes the food can take a bit but that’s because there is always a line out the door and around the corner! The services is great, the workers are so welcoming and kind (especially Javier, he is the absolute man!!), and every time I come I leave with new appreciation for the establishment. Their coffee is also delicious, I get the Spanish latte with oak milk and it never fails to disappoint. 10/10 would recommend Saby’s to any and everyone!! Also special shoutout to whoever is on aux, they play absolute banger after banger on repeat (atmosphere is elite)!!

I ordered a a chicken burrito on the phone and it was made well aligned to my instructions, salsas was fresh. My food was ready on time. I would definitely go back and recommend everyone to try this place.
One of the yummier breakfast burrito/coffee combos in LA
Food is great! Ordered two burritos for takeout and waited 35 minutes. Seems to be the case every time I come.
I had their chicken chipotle, breakfast burrito. Very good and filling. The burritos come with a side of tortilla chips. The staff were nice and respectful. It’s only outdoor seating but there’s a roof area available if you don’t want to burn under the sun. My food took about 10 to 20 minutes of wait time, so I have to dock off one star on this.
This one was a clear step up. Solid, flavorful, and put together with care. The breakfast burrito and the chipotle one both had good texture and balance. You could tell the ingredients were meant to be together. There was a sauce inside that helped pull everything together, which made it way more cohesive than other burritos I’ve had lately. The tortilla held up well, and the overall portion was fair. The only thing that threw the flavor off a bit for me was the soy chorizo, but that’s probably just personal taste. I’d give it a solid four out of five. Nothing mind-blowing, but it was genuinely enjoyable. It felt like someone actually thought through the build instead of just tossing ingredients in. I’d order again.

Feel they should have printed menus somewhere..what if I dont want to look at my phone to order??
I was excited to try this spot out here in Venice. However, I asked the lady to make my chilaquiles red 3 times. She nodded and said ok. Just for her to bring them green and give them to my friend mixing up our orders. She didn’t let me take them she insisted on remaking them. She came back with a new plate and it wasn’t even what I asked for. I’m allergic to onions I ordered no onions and she brought me a plate full of onions and the opposite of what I ordered.
It’s good food but very expensive for how funky it feels.
Avoid going here in the morning during weekdays. Apparently they open “sometimes at 9, sometimes 8:30” or “when the cashier gets here.” Complete disregard for their posted hours. I waited outside their closed establishment for almost 20 minutes past their opening time waiting for them to finally hand me my online order. I only got it because I knocked a few times. Being so close to a school, the service and this kind of attitude is unacceptable and disrespectful for both teachers and students who would like to enjoy some breakfast and make it to school on time. The food itself was ok. The burrito I got was a good size but flavorless. No idea where the chipotle chicken went as there was no trace of chipotle.
I ordered a chicken breakfast burrito. The burrito wasn’t too hefty or too small, but, unfortunately, lacked flavor. Had to really rely on the hot sauce
I’m only caring to leave a review because I actually like this place and would like to see some improvement. I have eaten here many times, but something that really bothers me is the fact that the food is not consistent in its taste. On Tuesday, May 25 (afternoon) I ordered one of the best burritos I had from Saby’s. I was excited to place the exact same order today, only to get disappointed about how bland it tasted. The salsa inside was super chunky and I found myself eating big pieces of onions and tomatoes which also tasted super bland. And not only that, but they also included cilantro when I asked to remove it. The overall taste was very different from the previous order and this is not the first time this happened to me when ordering there. It kinda sucks when you don’t know what you’re getting depending on the day you order it. Hope they improve and make it more consistent.
The star of the show is definitely only the chilaquiles or the chilaquiles burrito. Everything else is ok and pricy for a small portion.
Really good food & fun patio space. Just very expensive with few options for those with dietary restrictions. There are no options to substitute eggs with anything else, without paying an additional $2.50 fee. I also paid extra for beans & did not get them in my order.
Look, if I got my actual food, I would probably give this place a 5 star rating. The coffees are delicious; a notable favorite being the hoechata (it was yummy). The food took a while to arrive since it was Sunday lunch (that's not the issue). The issue was that the food runner brought my food out (the receipt on the chips with my name on it) and then took it away, saying that he gave me the wrong order and switched it with another customer's burrito. I had ordered a sweet & sabys breakfast burrito and ended up with the most generic bottom of the barrel steak burrito I have ever had. I took a bite before I processed that this wasn't my order, so I just stuck with it. I'm overall disappointed since I did bring it up to the food runner. Also, the table my friend and I were at had a big umbrella that got toppled over due to the wind AND unstable concrete planter that was its base. It nearly hit both my friend and the people next to us throughout the meal.

TLDR: mid We had high hopes for this place but were let down. The breakfast burritos were subpar. Both burritos were lacking in the amount of eggs they held. The burritos were overrun with potatoes, which were hard & bland. The sauces & guac were good but it's never a good sign when the condiments are better than the food itself. The burritos were not worth the price at all.
I could not order because there is no menu. Just a QR code. You need to have a normal menu for customers to read, not everyone has a phone or wants to use one to buy a burrito.
Delicious chips and blue corn tortilla. Flavor is nice. Quality is great. I just can’t justify paying 80$ for two people for Mexican food. 5 tacos rice beans guacamole.

I’m so bummed! I pass this place on my way home and it always has people. I know it’s a popular local spot. The food tasted pretty okay, but my husband commented the rice and beans for his dish tasted old. Wellllll unfortunately once we got home we both ended up dashing to the bathroom. Haven’t had food poisoning in a long time, and it was not too fun.
I used to love this place. Best breakfast burrito I ever had. I went back on a whim. No food menu. The QR code on the counter for their online menu was so scratched up my phone couldn't recognize it. So I tried to remember what I ordered last time. It was a chorizo burrito of some kind. Turns out, they have lots of breakfast burritos, and I wanted the "mexican breakfast burrito." Instead, I was given a "build your own" breakfast burrito with chorizo added for an additional 3.25 - the total was nearly $20! If I had just ordered the mexican burrito it would have cost less, and with more fillings (salsa, jalapenos, etc). Interesting pricing strategy there. And then after 20 minutes I was presented with a breakfast burrito the size of my fist. Oh and they got my name wrong. Underwhelmed to the point I had to write my first review.

I ordered through DoorDash and was told my order was ready . When I got there they haven’t even started on the my order. They messed up my order as well by giving me the wrong coffee. Wasted my time .
We ordered two California burritos – one with asada and one with chorizo – both were pretty bland in flavor and the chorizo was a very deep red color and didn’t taste super fresh, nor was it hot. California burritos are supposed to have French fries…neither of our burritos has fries so that was disappointing. We were just kind of left with these lack-luster burritos. The next day, to say there were stomach issues is an understatement. We will not be ordering from here again.
This crazy i did a delivery for them and they did not put the drink and thats ok for them, i got a truble once with a spilled drink and they made me buy it this people though theyre gonna broke for a milk latte poor treatmen too they treat u like a stranger insane ppl
Seemed like it would be good but took over an hour to get a burrito when my friends who ordered the same thing before me had theirs in 15 minutes. Asked on it a few times and they were just super rude and dismissive.
Was excited to try this place for the first time as I live in the neighborhood. First impression: cold unfriendly service. Ordered the chipotle burrito. Sat outside. Place was almost empty on a Friday morning. Reason why I was surprised I still didn’t have my food 20mn after. Then I noticed a customer who had arrived after me walk out with his order. I went back inside to ask what was going on. Lady who took my order ignored me. Guy who talked to me looked confused. Said my order was next in queue. I left, no food no refund. Alarming to see the number of reviews saying they never got their food and left.
Too expensive and too long of a wait for what you get. 30 minute wait to order with only 2 people ahead of me and another 30 minutes to get my food. Breakfast burrito was not what I expected. $18 for a 6 inch burrito with little flavor seems like a lot to me. I will never vi back and don't recommend at all.
I ordered a Vista Bowl to go and it was honestly one of the worst meals I have ever had. It feels like they brought out old ingredients from the back of a fridge and hodge podged together a pathetic excuse for a steak and rice bowl. The rice was stale and almost crunchy and way too salty. The pico de gallo was a handful of sad chopped tomatoes and the “charred” corn might as well have been canned. Finally, it was missing the habanero pineapple sauce and tortilla sticks altogether. Worst of all, I felt sick after eating it and continued to feel unwell for the next 48 hours. Long story short, I will never order from here again.
