She made an exceptional 🚚 bypassing food service fleet. seafood Khao soi so rad flavorful exotic tender most noodles kept sumccous with every bite. With left over broth steamed chicken dumplings became drunken, too. And a large Thai tea was so sweet and stimulating the afternoon thru... Just accept that Uncle Sam is uncaring and raised inflation. Here at The taste kitchen you get more bang for your buck !!
Food so tasty, we love this restaurant
Love this place! Great portions and really authentic, flavorful food. Service is great too :)
Delicious food and friendly service. True comfort food. We felt cared for, just like at home.
A mom & pop shop that my local friend eats at on a monthly, and it really shows because it is a true authentic Thai family that immigrated to LA in the early 1990s and opened this restaurant and had it for years. A washroom literally in the back of the venue, that is a storage closet and non-fluent english speakers, and on top of that the yelling in kitchen. This is exactly what a true authentic mom & pop shop is like, and this is the food culture is missing. Anyways, I have to talk about the food here, because it is extremely delicious and it shows that these are the places that should support by locals. Thai Ice Tea: 8/10 Perfectly blood orange, and it was the style of Thai Ice Tea I wanted. My camera is coming it off as just pure orange and I don't know why, but it was a more of a dark reddish orange and it was good. Papaya Salad: 7/10 I thought this was a very cute take of a thai version of a papaya salad. I think this was just ok in my book, but what makes these salads are how long the papaya was soaked for in the family style fish sauce. And the papaya was extremely delicious. Their family style fish sauce was extremely delicious too. Red Thai Seafood Curry: 10/10 This was a peak for me. I love the flavours of this red thai curry. The seafood was plentiful, and the curry mixed with the sticky rice was just delicious. It was a perfect portion. I had at least 4 portions sharing it with a friend. Green Thai Chicken Curry: 7/10 I wished we didn't order a chicken curry, maybe we should have tried another meat, but the green curry was delicious, was it was lacking a type of flavour and I don't know what it is. Maybe next time I should order another type of meat. Mango Sticky Rice: 9/10 We ordered a dessert before we left as the waitress was asking about our opinions about their food, and I told them what I liked and what I didn't like. They actually talked with us a little bit about our experience and their food. And tbh, their mango sticky rice was exactly what I like about a family style mango sticky rice. I wasn't expect the pandan flavour in it at all, but they gave it to me. YUM! Support local and your mom & pop shops!!!
My family of five enjoyed our meal. Especially delicious was the BBQ duck noodle soup. A heaping portion shared by three. Chicken skewers were juicy, tender and accompanying peanut sauce was yummy. The week day luncheon special is a great deal for the price. Service is very attentive and friendly.
Amazing food. A little mild by Thai standards but you can always add more spice if you need your taste buds to tingle. Excellent family friendly service. Restaurant is in good safe neighborhood. Highly recommended.
Indy, not sure if manager or owner, did something so unexpected... I have had recent fraud on my debit card so my bank closed that account, however they activated the new replacement card on my Google pay account. I came in to make an order using that Google pay, but it was declined and I do not know why. Indy, after my 4th attempt, said you know what I will just go ahead and give you the food, you come in next time and pay. Unbelievable human compassion. This is an extraordinary gesture of kindness and trust. On top of that their chicken noodle soup is unbelievable which is why I'm here in the first place. I just want to share my experience with an extraordinary human being and yes, I have been a loyal customer here, I am now shouting from the mountain tops. It is one thing to have fantastic food, it is quite another to have incredible human spirit. Thank you Indy
We loved the food!!! And the lady there serving us made us feel like her kids 🫠🫠 thank you 🙏 it was such a treasure to find this place at the last moment ❤️felt like comfort food
Great food! They have the best mango sticky rice with the ripest mango I’ve ever had. Highly recommend coming here. Very underrated spot.
Excellent food and service here! Don’t be misled by looks it’s just a simple restaurant in a strip mall. Dinner for two reasonably priced it’s my go to for thsi. Green spicy curry and glass noodle dish hard to get elsewhere. It’s a winner among many Thai restaurants locally.
The food was exquisite, absolutely delicious 😍 Generous portions. We came here as a group of 7 friends and received excellent service. A very warm, family-like atmosphere and food clearly made with heart. We highly recommend this place!
Absolutely delicious and fantastic food, great place, price and people, highly recommend
Amazing food, super quick, fresh, and hot. Not many tables but we got lucky with our group of 5. Prices are good and portion size is great. I got the orange chicken special.
Delicious Thai food and reasonable prices! I have visited 3 times myself. I recommend their pad Thai, chicken satay, and the spicy pork larb! Service may not be the best but the food is good.
so yummy and the service was amazing!!! they kept my drink full and the food came out so quickly. a quiet nice place to eat and very affordable! my new favorite thai food place. i forgot to take pictures of the food at the restaurant so here’s some ambiance pictures of the restaurant and my food the next day as leftovers 😂😂(the bread is my own sandwich bread haha)
Stopped in for Mango Sticky Rice and was blown away at delicious it was. Can’t wait to come back and have dinner next week.
The food there is spectacular! We ordered Thai Curry nodded, Spicy fried rice, veggies lovers, and Mango sticky rice. Each dish are full of wok hei and flavors and I can't express how much I love the food there!
The orange chicken wasn’t the greatest but the cream cheese wontons were delicious. Service was excellent because she brought my food to my car. I’ll go again to try something else.

A tiny joint that explodes with unexpected flavor. I ordered the crab meat omlette fried rice and it was da bomb.
I really like this place. It's low key and homey. Really solid food, fair prices, and quick service. Everything I've had here is great, and they list khao soi as their chef's specialty. It is quite good! Recommend this small business for sure!
I also order for take out but the service has been fast and friendly. My food is always on time and hot. The food is nothing short of amazing. I have had duck fried rice and duck fried soup. The flavor is one of a kind. I rave about this place to everyone I know. Really good food.
My new go-to Thai food place! So glad I found this little place. Finally truly flavorful food!! We got 3 different dishes - Pad Thai, soup and fried rice and ALL very delicious.
Honestly some amazing fresh Thai Food!!!!!! Such a hidden gem with a small parking lot, but plenty of street parking and once you're in the spot you forget where you are!! Very nice, respectful, and efficiently used space ✨✨ My bestie and I glad we both can get something as a vegan + meat-loving combo friendship with pleeeeenttty of food to take home for leftovers
We showed-up and ordered a bunch of food 30 minutes before they closed, no complaints. Tom Kha Gai and Chicken Satay were great, Thai woman serving was very nice and friendly with New Years wishes. Fun music and nice ambiance overall.

It's somewhat small and really clean. I went early for lunch so it was empty. It started to fill up as I was leaving around 12:30. The server was multitasking but still attentive. I tried the green curry lunch special. It was decent but I wanted a heartier sauce. It was very light in taste and texture. It wasn't a large portion but enough for $8 bucks. It's worth a trip back. I'll try something else next time.
Good experience overall. + I ordered Yellow Curry with Pineapple + rice = $11.60 (+ tip). The soup was good and chicken excellent. + Friendly staff guy who cares enough to intervene "you don't wanna have that curry with noodles" - They charge extra for rice, which was kinda annoying. I'd rather see the full price with rice reflected in the menu than seeing the unexpected extra on the receipt. Like ... who would have the curry soup by itself? - Their menus are a bit outdated, so ask about newer dishes - Portion could be bigger for that price. - Restroom could look more hygienic - Tiny parking slot
It's a nice place to enjoy Himalayan cuisine. Humble, casual dine-in restaurant, indoor and outdoor. Portions are on the smaller side, relative to American sizes and prices listed. Good food. Tends to be slow / short-staffed, so go on off nights.
We ordered Khao Soi and Orange shrimp special. Khao Soi had good taste but the soup seems to be more runny than what I am used to. The orange shrimp special was ok. They use small frozen cocktail shrimps and we didn't like that as much. The food portions were good size. I would go back there again if I crave for Khao Soi!
Tasty Thai food, was excited to see the Khao Soi on the menu! The peanut sauce for the chicken satay was great. Drunken noodles were a bit saucy. A nice find!

When a Meal Becomes a Reminder Food: ★★★★☆ (4 out of 5) Service/Experience: ★★☆☆☆ (2 out of 5) Overall: ★★★☆☆ (3 out of 5) I visited Taste Kitchen Thai Food Restaurant in West L.A. on Sepulveda because I had a serious craving for Thai shrimp fried rice. The restaurant is takeout only — which was fine, because I planned to eat in my car. The food came out fast, the portion was generous, and the shrimp fried rice was solid. What stuck with me wasn’t the food. It was the way something simple — asking for an extra chili sauce packet — turned into a whole situation. I asked for one packet and it already felt like I was pushing it. I asked for a second — because of the size of the portion — and the woman froze, like I had crossed some invisible line. Had I been white, I doubt it would’ve even been a question. Two packets would’ve been handed over without hesitation. And if I had been sharing the meal? One packet wouldn’t have been enough for two people — barely enough for one. They smiled and told me to enjoy my meal, but by then, the moment had already happened. Eating in my car wasn’t the issue. Trying to eat with a flimsy, tiny fork that couldn’t even hold the food was. For the kind of portions they serve, better utensils aren’t optional — they’re basic. Being a Black customer means these aren’t isolated incidents. They are constant reminders: even the smallest ask gets weighed differently. The food was good. The message behind it was louder.
My green curry was soupy. If I tried it blindfolded I would not guess it was green curry. Disappointing. ($20.17 for curry and jasmine rice) There’s a small parking lot.

Worst place to eat EVER! Flies all over the food, woman very very rude, terrible all around, they need to close this nasty place down ASAP. I cannot believe that the city allows these dirty nasty people to serve contaminated food with flies to the public. This woman is so rude and nasty i cannot believe it. Do yourself a huge favor and find a good place to eat as this one is minus fifty stars. .
I am disappointed with the type of service we received. The place is super small, no server or cashier at the front. I stepped to the side to flag someone for my food. The lady came dashing at me thinking that I was going to enter a restricted area. Food wasn’t the best pho but it was ok. BUT service was terrible. We were visiting the area. Staying at a hotel close by, I have 2 little kids with me so I asked for an extra serving bowl and utensils since kids we’re sharing and no 4 year old can eat from those tall cylinder containers Pho soup comes in. The lady said NOOO. I asked for napkin she said No. I let that go THEN I asked if the pho soup didn’t come in contact with any sea food especially shellfish? She just proceeded to dismiss me with an annoyed look. I stated it again, my child has a shellfish allergy that requires Epipen and so I just need a yes or no answer. She said No with just annoyed face and a heavy sigh. Now am sure they have served some black people before. If not I prefer that if an Asian restaurant doesn’t like serving a certain group of people, a sign can be put at the door.
The food was terrible, and the owner was mean and terrible. It’s no wonder they were completely empty on a Saturday night.
I have been craving some authentic Asian cuisine which I have had great ones in the bay area. I was extremely disappointed when all the food we ordered was mediocre. It was a nightmare because my family and I were starving. I am not sure how they got those reviews because everything we ordered was horrible. Which Chinese restaurant messes up house fried rice, black pepper beef, chow mein, chow fun noodles. The name should be "Tasteless." I had them take mine back but the rest of my family were too hungry to let go. Horrible!! Please hire new cooks.
Do not eat at this place food is not good at all. And the older women was very rude for some reason 😒 no clue why. The BBQ pork rib was not good at all. And the shrimp dumplings are basically baged store bought shrimp from the freezer section at the local grocery store that have been wrapped poorly in wanton pepper. Everything was very disappointing and the price was a but higher than it should have been for such low quality food. You can tell they don't make anything with kindness or love in this kitchen.
Horrible experience do not trust the reviews totally and highly overrated. Save your time and money. Took the time to dine inside and provided one single napkin gosh seriously…No joke seriously one napkin. To add insult to injury they charge .50 for a take-out container (it is actually taped at the table) cheap cheap cheap!!! The food was not up to par skimpy on quantity of food and lacked in presentation and taste was not the quality of authentic Thai cuisine. Lacked freshness be careful when reading highly rated reviews. Again this establishment will not meet any high standards definitely zero rating should be an option. Zero is the truest rating deserved.
This place should be called "The Tasteless Kitchen" The Shrimp Tom Kha soup was terrible - no flavor. The BBQ spare ribs were fatty and in a sauce that was incredibly salty. The Shrimp veggie rolls weren't crunchy but soggy and the sweet and sour sauce was like watered down honey - no pungent taste. Very disappointing. There are lots of better Thai places in the area so go someplace else.
He portion size for dinner is ridiculously small. The food is over priced. The Thai tea is sweeter than McDonald’s sweet tea, try somewhere else, this isn’t the spot for placing a to-go order
I have no idea why this place is rated so high because it's so undeserving. The protein was not good and the noodles had a weird smell. Save yourself the stomach ache.

Food was ok, but I found they charged a different amount (more than I wrote on the bill). I would not go to this restaurant again.
