Very friendly, everything you could ask for and more. Placed an order here for my son's Hispanic Heritage Brunch at school - probably the best decision. The variety was in abundance and all so fresh and delicious.

I love Venice Bakery. I discovered this a few years ago, and they consistently make delicious plates. I've tried a few items on their menu, but my favorite is the chilaquiles. I always order spicy! You can also ask for the spicy batch of salsa on the side if you're unsure about the spice levels. This can be for verdes, rojas, or the super chilaquiles divorciados. The sauce is delicious, and served with black beans and plantains. Another treat is the torta - simple but amazing, and I also recommend. It can get pretty full on the weekends, so use the sign-up sheet outside for your table.

Hidden GEM. I got a breakfast burrito with steak and potatoes - insanely good, HUGE portion for a super affordable price. Tortilla was so soft and fresh, filling was so flavorful, steak was juicy and tender, 10/10.

Outstanding friendly and helpful service is the number one thing at this little gem. The two women who served us were friendly and had glow of real happiness on them, which is almost spooky for Los Angeles, but all the more remarkable because of it. The food was very good +- I had the chilaquiles, My friend had the heuvos rancheros, and they serve up a beautiful warm bolillo, which made me wish I could come back and sample their bakery in a more systematic fashion. the chilaquiles were very good but my bar is very high, unfairly so, I reckon. I think the HR were good too. I very much liked their unsweetened cafe olla, which I think I ruined by putting in half and half in a fit of distraction. Well it wasn't ruined but it would have been better without it. And I love what they did to make the sidewalk seating a friendly grotto like porch -- a pleasant oasis of character in this pretty bleak commercial neighborhood. I'd return again if I were for some reason in the neighborhood again...

Super glad I stumbled on this place. Fantastic breakfast burritos and breakfast tortas. The meats are tender and flavorful, great portions. The bread was soft, with great structure. The conchas were huge and delicious, I prefer these over La Monarca. It was all affordable with really friendly staff. We'll be back!

Small but cozy and big on taste. Hubby had the omelette and they were not skimpy on the meat. I had the chilaquilas, I ordered them not spicy. Everything on the plate was delicious.

The food is great. The prices are awesome. I've been coming here for a long time mainly for the sweet 🍞, but they also serve good breakfast. Definitely recommend. I used to go to Mechitas on La Brea and Gloria's in culver city mainly for the plantains but venice bakery offers the same quality food at a better price!!!

Every single dish I’ve had from here is incredible. They have the best carne asada I’ve ever had in my life. The chicken flautas are also incredible.

Food is a little pricey. Expect to pay $20 per person. So that price is subject to what you think is expensive or not. But the food is always good. My favorite breakfast in West LA.

I’ve been going here for most of my life and it is so good. They have made a big concha for my birthday once it’s a all types of concha there in different Pan dulce it’s so good if you’re in the area, this is a must go and see.

Solid solid chilaquiles. I had the divorcados and both salsas were excellent, eggs perfect, beans excellent and a couple of plátanos thrown in. Cafe de ollla great. V nice people, great bakery.

This is one of the best homemade foods that you can eat in the area. This is a mom & pop shop with 20+ years in business. Chilaquiles, I haven't have them as good anywhere else in LA. Café de la Ollla, loved that they didn't add sugar to it. Black beans "colado" style, just like my mom liked them. Eggs are real eggs. Parking off the streets may be an issue so, be prepared for that, especially on weekends. Again, this is a Mom&Pop shop, so, be nice and tip well. They are surviving where others have failed because of their food quality and customer care.

We decided to stop here after a long, morning flight into LAX based on reviews, and the place did not disappoint. First, the 'bolillos' they give you are probably the best I've ever tasted, especially when paired with the delicious red sauce and creme they give you. I had the Chilaquiles and my wife had the breakfast burrito - both equally delicious! AND, they have some amazing bread to chose from that we took home to enjoy later that day. And the best part was that they were selling the Bolillos 2 for $1. I love little places like this!

The food was okays since it's just a regular Latin American affair. The bread was fresh, but again, nothing unusual or exceptional. The service was friendly, but like some other reviewer said, the servers avoid the eye contact, so I have to get up and order stuff at the counter. No restroom inside the dining room. The jello cakes with flowers look beautiful, but I don't know how they taste since they are not sold in small pieces. My overall experience here was okay.

Taste: I ordered the chilaquiles divorciados. It had decent balance between flavor and spicy ness. Texture of the chilaquiles was spot on, hot, with a soft crunch. The black beans that came with the plate provided a mellowing balance from the savory heat of the chilaquiles. The carne asada was warm and flavorful but a bit too chewy. I don’t understand why they separated the beans but not the platano. Customer Service: Initially, the woman who sat us was courteous and as soon as we met our waitress, she took our order and didn’t talk to us until I asked for the check. Price: Total for 2 plates and 2 coffees was 45 and some change. The price is almost good for the size of the plate. Overall, I thought it was ok and it was a surprise when they brought out two small bolillos. Wish one of them was toasted with butter though. This experience doesn’t motivate me to come again anytime soon.

I made a mistake thinking my food was being delivered. I arrived to see the SMOOTHIE, and FRESH JUICE sitting out on the counter. As I waited “missing” food to be prepared -I asked if the drinks could be remade, as they had sat out for an HOUR without refrigeration . An employee told me there was nothing they could do. For how pricey the food is one would think is was an easy fix..
