My girlfriend comes here often after work, its like 30 minutes away from my house but one night she got a craving so we made the trip. I can 100% understand why she comes here, good was great, affordable, and sitting outside in the middle of the night eating tacos was a very Cali experience. good stuff
I been coming here since highschool. I'm 38 now and this is still, in my opinion, THE best albertos. I use to live in long beach, but now I make the drive out from irvine.
The only place to go for carne asada fries for at least the past 20 years. Always delicious and the staff is great.
Omg the veggie burrito of my dreams! That thing was hefty too!!! I can only imagine what everything else tastes like.
California burrito is AMAZING. The tortilla feels homemade (I never asked). The atmosphere is like Wienerschnitzel’s and in-N-Out cause its only outdoor dining. Staff was kind enough to make another carne asada quesadilla after they made the mistake of giving me a normal cheese quesadilla. Overall I had good memories here since my husband and I hung out here when we were dating.
We always get takeout from here and it’s always pretty consistent. My only gripe is that the cheese in the enchiladas is never melted. I have gotten the enchiladas at least 7-8 times and not once has it been melted. Weird. The rice and beans, rolled tacos, crunchy tacos and breakfast burritos are always on point.
Best Mexican good. The California burrito is killer. I'm fantasizing about it now. Sad when I don't get sour cream in every bite, but I guess you can't appreciate the good bites without the bad ones. Chips are cheap and good, too.
Always good and the price of the super fries is way cheaper compared to other stablishment. You could order almost at any time. Sometimes, it shows close to the app, but if you really want to eat . Just call a few minutes before and will have it ready, which is always open. Also, if you purchase tortillas, it is a good price as well, only a dollar. No, like other places, then you feel like you are buying another plate.
Love the food, open 24hrs, staff are so friendly and patient. People walk from the bar next door especially after the bar closes and too many times ive seen some very drunk people trying to order and all i can say is props to the staff, what amazing customer service. Even if this place wasnt 24hrs i would still prefer to eat here. The food seriously is phenomenal!
Very busy late night for hungry people and nice outside to eat and gathering or fellow. Two drive thru on both sides. Or take window order. Cooker are very busy to get foods for everyone on orders. Minimum 5 mins get your foods ready if order 5 or more items. Compares other place will get your foods ready at least 10 or 15 mins. This place have online orders by 3rd party as grubhub or else food apps.
This place is an instant classic. Great local spot. The best California Burrito in town. The Carne asada fries are another go too. And if you don’t like those the cheese fries. It’s affordable. Fast. And the staff are great. Another cool thing about this place is they have dual drive thrus. Honestly been going here over 20 years and it’s been the same as long as I can remember. I highly suggest it.
If I were to choose my favorite place for a quick bite, I'd have to say this Albertaco's. Open 24 hours a day, you can get your fix of amazing Mexican food anytime. While they have a large menu, I always just stick with my three favorites: a Carne Asada Burrito, a California Burrito, or an overflowing order of Carne Asada Fries with a side of carrots. Their hot sauce, compared to other similar restaurants by far, is killer.
Been going here for years, definitely a neighborhood staple. This place has been consistent since day 1 only down side is they’ve been getting stingy and started charging for extra hot sauce. Pollo Asado is the way to go especially with the fries. Another trick is if the fries are too large for you, order a California Burrito and add Guacamole it’s the same as fries just about half the size and portable!
So we decided to stop here but didn’t realize that there’s no inside dining. They do have outdoor but it was raining so we had to do the drive thru. We ordered nachos, taquitos, shrimp quesadilla, a regular soft taco and drinks. The drinks are HUGE and hard to drink all of it. The nacho chips are a bit thick and the taco was messy good. The chicken taquitos needed some saving seasoning for some flavor because without the guacamole, it was didn’t have much flavor. The green chili sauce was tasty. The total came to about $50 for everything we ordered.
This place has deteriorated. It used to be my go-to for a quick, delicious burrito, but those days are gone. The cooks don’t use gloves or wash their hands, which made us sick. The food has also declined. 👎
The quality of the food has really declined over the years. The meat in my burrito was really dry. Not sure if it's because I went early in the morning, and they re-heated leftovers from the day before. The service is terrible. I ordered a California burrito, but they gave me something else. I took it back and told the guy at the counter, but he told me, "no, this is right." He never even opened the bag. I told him to look inside and he said, "this is a carne asada burrito." I told him I ordered a California burrito. He spoke with another gentleman in Spanish. Instead of fixing the problem, they handed the bag back to me and said "this is a California burrito."
Service is good, but holy hell was this food abysmal. At least my burrito was. The meat smelled like fish for some reason 😢 I am not making this up man. And unless you like a slab of not so good ripe-ish meat and a huge wad of guacamole, I suggest you ask for rice and beans because if you don't it seems like they'll make up for it by adding a copious amount of huge onion and tomato pieces. I just hope they realize that those condoments dont make up for the lack of taste even the meat had. Not a great experience and whoever wrapped my burrito.....idk what to even make of it. Look, I'm no Gordon Ramsey when it comes to burritos but I will confidently say, look elsewhere if you have the ability to do so.
1st off the waitress was nice .. but she couldn't hear due to working the drive thru window and walk up window .. so rite away that tells me they understtaffed ... 2nd my food was cold ,and dry like it had been sitting out , something should of told me when it was done in 5mins .. 🤷🏿♂️🤮 there was even corn in my guac I kid you not .. do better bro .. 🙃😐😒
I was craving a chorizo burrito, so I decided to give this place a try. Bad mistake! For $11, they burnt my chorizo and didn't even tell me until I took a couple of bites. I only noticed since I couldn't taste any chorizo or flavor. Opened up burrito and was so disappointed. Never coming back!
