I went here based off a recommendation and I was not disappointed. The ribs were tender and the portions were a decent size based off the money you paid. The ribs were flavorful and well seasoned. I can’t wait to come back here and try something else on the menu. I ordered online and the food was ready promptly when I arrived.

3:02 pm. It was the time I went. Quite and nice. I had the 2 meat plate with salad and Jaks beans, all amazing with spice and flavor. Highly recommend this spot for smomed BBQ. Match with Hutchins BBQ for flavor, taste, and tenderness.

The owner is from Memphis. So this is like going home for me. I lived in Memphis for 9 1/2 years. And I've been away for 6 years. This was awesome. The food was delicious. I can't to go again. Specially when I home since for Memphis bbq. One of our supervisors took us for a treat for finishing a project in a very short amount of time. Its was place to eat. The staff was very nice and helpful, the prices are reasonable compared to places I've been that aren't that good. Definitely 5 plus status!!

Good bbq spot. Close to downtown. Has street and off street parking. Tried their 2 meat potato(chopped beef & hot link) and a 2 meat salad ( chopped beef & turkey). I wouldn't any red meats on the salad unless you like it. The potato with that meat combo was very good.

I ordered the 1/2 rack with Shak beans and potato salad. I'm going to say this first. I think it should be highly considered describing the food items on the menu. The ribs were good. Tender and with a lot of flavor. The beans are your typical Texas style baked bean, which is actually pinto beans, but they were good a well. The reason I gave 4/5c is because of the potato salad. I'm not sure who's idea it is to put granny Smith apples in the potato salad but it is actually disgusting. Not an acquired tasted, but just nasty. The combination of what taste mostly like apple sauce, with the acidity of mustard and the hint of mayo... this recipe needs to be revamped, without the apples. I've never had, much less heard of apples in a potato salad. I would go again, but I'll skip that side. Overall, the meal was decent.

For a little BBQ spot black owned it's not too bad. I work near the place I go in on Thursday because he freshly barbecues and cook everything on Thursdays. I've only seen one woman working there she has a great personality she is very professional and friendly and she makes you want to come back. I really don't know what her position is but a lot of times when I go in she's working the cash register, but I think she does way more than that. She told me they've been in business for 26 years gave me a little history on the place great customer service. I got a two meat platter barbecue baked beans with ground beef in it and string beans with chicken in it then I got the brisket and some chicken.

Customer service was excellent. We didn't dine in so I didn't really get a vibe for the location. The baked beans were very good. I could have eaten a bowl of them. The ribs were meh. I had the rib sandwich. I ate two of the 5 or 6 ribs. Wasn't impressed. I'd give it another try simply based on the customer service.

First time here, it was really clean in waiting and dining area, but the ladies restroom was in terrible state. The toilet alone nearly made me loose my appetite. The food was good, they get busy so I would recommend you call ahead if in a rush.

Never in my life have I been served green beans that were nasty…it’s hard to mess up! The Cole slaw wasn’t great either…the ribs were good so maybe I should say over all just get the meat and make your sides at home

The guy you brought the meal was very pleasant and courteous. The meals are small. I did not get a picture. (Missed the one of the important details in completing a review!) This was my first time patronizing this establishment. The ham was not ham from a bone. It was some sort of processed meat. I was not pleased. The texture was not something I enjoyed in my mouth. I did not eat that, I will not order that, I will not advise anyone to order. It was giving spam without the salt. I ordered a 2 meat 2 side plate. The meats ordered were ham, and links. The menu said ham, and I believe smoked ham. It could have been an error on my behalf assuming the ham order was the ham that I am used to eating bone in. They should specify the ham provided is not true meat. The links were over cooked and dried out. The sides I ordered were the shak beans and the buttered corned! Very pleased with both of the sides!!! The beans remind me of ranch style beans with added favor, meat and a bit of spice! They were delicious. In my opinion, the price range for the meal I received should have been between $10-$14. It was 21 plus tax. I will go back and I hope to give a better review.

Very nice establishment. Very chill and clean on the inside. Also very nice service. The ribs are good, seasoned very well. I appreciated that. Then there’s the sliced brisket sandwich. It wasn’t tender at all, felt like eating a steak sandwich. Someone said they made the best beans but they weren’t baked beans. They’re kidney beans with ground beef. Very much chilli, not baked beans. The coleslaw had a weird color and after taste. All in all, next time I’d just order a slab of ribs and a large fruit punch (really good). I slick want my money back for that brisket sandwich meal tho.

The best part about this place is the cashier customer service hands down . The guy that bought my food out was sick he was blowing his nose and handing out orders very poor food handling skills he never said thanks to the customers . The lady at the register was very respectful like old days she said yes sir no sir but the kitchen need to get trained on food handling and customer service skills. I ordered a five meat plate but I refuse to eat when germs are been handed out and Noone see a problem with it .This place allow sick people to work around food and can't even say thank you when passing out your food. I witnessed the same guy sit orders on tables and walk away and the lady comes from behind the counter and get bags and find the customers thats some BS .

This review is all about this place not wanting to serve me because they were closing in 25 mins and would not let me eat my meal inside their restaurant. I could only get it to go because frankly, the lady wanted to go home you could tell. I had just walking a mile to this place because the hotel had told me that it was worth the walk. I walked in the door at 5:14pm they closed on Tuesday’s at 5:45pm. There was a lady picking up her order once she did I the lady asked me how could she help me and I said to her I know your closing soon I looked at my phone and I said in 25 mins and she flat out said no. I told her that I had just walked a mile because the hotel had recommended this place but she didn’t care she said no I could not eat inside. As I walked out the lady who was there picking up her order said to me, wow that’s not right and just shook her head said that that wasn’t right. 25 mins to order and eat. I would have been the only one there. The owner should fire that lady for denying me service during hours of operation. Why post hours !!! I walked back to the hotel and spoke to the manager who recommended this restaurant and told him the story. He apologize to me and said he would never recommend this place to anybody ever again. Update: The owner says that I was there at 5:46pm. He is not telling the truth. Someone is straight out lying. I walked back to the hotel who recommended me to this place and ordered food. I am attaching the receipt showing the time that I ordered my diner. He is flat out lying about the time that he said that I came in at. Now its making me feel that I was straight out racially profiled and that they did not want to serve me
