In a world full of mediocre pastries, it is no small joy to stumble upon a donut shop that understands the fulfillment and pleasure that comes from getting things right. This small, unassuming establishment, a small tabernacle of sugar, offers not merely donuts, but culinary evidence that common grace is still operative in our generation. The donuts? Perfectly shaped, formed with steady hands, care and an eye for symmetry. These are not the half-hearted, slumped-over excuses for fried dough that too often pass for pastries. No, these are as aesthetically sound as they are tasty, and that’s saying something. One of the pink frosted donuts looked like it came straight from a Simpson’s episode. The flavor, especially of the chocolate variety (which is often abused and misused in other shops), was rich, well-balanced, and entirely devoid of that plastic aftertaste that afflicts the chocolate. But, then there’s the matter of timing. We obtained our donuts at 5:30am, and they were still warm. The coffee deserves its own paragraph. It was not poured from some reheated trough of bitterness, nor did it taste like it had been filtering through the resentment of those who lived during the Nixon administration. No. Here, the beans were ground fresh, an act which, to my knowledge, I have not seen at other little donut shops. I watched the grinder spin and thought, “There is hope yet for Western civilization.” As for the cost: for two cups of this sacred brew, one chocolate donut, and a dozen humble-yet-glorious donut holes, the total was a mere $10. A pittance. A tithe to joy.

I stopped by Forest Donuts this morning and had such a great experience! I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant and it was absolutely delicious! Probably the best one I’ve had so far. The lady who helped me was so kind and welcoming, which made my visit even better. The shop itself is so cute, and I love that they have tables to sit and enjoy your food (unlike most donut shops that are mainly to-go) I’ll definitely be coming back!
I LITERALLY bring my mom all the way from Grand Prairie to get donuts from here. My mother is an EXTREMELY picky eater. These donuts are the freshest, most tasteful and DELICIOUS donuts in Texas!!
This is a great little local donut shop! The two ladies I've seen working here are very kind, and one of them has given me a couple-to-an-entire-bag-full of free donut holes each time. What a sweetheart. Their cronut is so light and delicate and their donuts too. Very typical flavors, nothing crazy, but well done :) I like the flavor and consistency of their dough.
Nice little neighborhood donut shop that makes fresh donuts daily. Friendly service with a few good options to choose from and sometimes has some daily special breakfast items. Definitely worth a trip if you are in the area.
The croissant kolaches are so addictive. The employees are super nice and the pricing is very fair. They just got in some new tables and chairs and they’re adorable!
Pricey but good. The prices for some items are a little more than other places. A cronut is $3.99 but large kolaches are only $3.69. The kolaches are very savory and have just a hint of sweetness in the bread. The cronuts are very good. The staff is nice and welcoming.
The donuts were very fresh and tasty. The lady serving wasn’t super friendly, but it WAS very early in the morning, so I can understand.
We live right down the street, and have always enjoyed the donuts. The apple fritters and cronuts (if you can get them before they are gone) are so tasty and fresh. Saturday mornings are just a bit sweeter with them in the neighborhood! 🌼

My favorite donut shop of all time, donuts are fire but the customer service will keep me coming back always

I came in this Thanksgiving morning to get donuts and my total came out to be $39.62, which is expensive but they was only donut shop open in my area. I paid with a credit card at 10:05 am, but I just received a notification that the total transaction went up to $43.38 at 12:47 am. I didn’t sign anything or include any tip because the screen was facing the lady and didn’t tell me too. Therefore, I’m confused on why I was charged an extra $3.76. Please watch out for this place and lock your cards.

I got a dozen specialty donuts that I let her pick my donuts and when I got to work I was disappointed that I received 3 plain glazed ones. Was not happy, for the price all the donuts should've been specialty.
Watch when u pay with credit card. Get your receipt & complete your transaction on the screen. She will automatically put a tip on.
I been buying my donuts here for years but today wanst a good experience. My kids decide to buy donuts for the teachers, and we ask her to be in separate bags. She is mad and makes an upset face to us. We definitely startbto look for another place to buy our donuts.
I ate a few bites of a Jalapeño kolache and a sausage egg croissant. This was the only thing I ate yesterday and ended up feeling horrible. I slept on my bathroom floor as the food poisoning affected me in every way. The lady was nice. She even gave me a free donut. Glad I didn't eat it.
I bought four SMALL beef kolaches no cheese plain kolaches, 2 bottles of water NOT a Iced DRINK and a bag of donut holes was almost $20 too damn expensive 😂 I usually pay about $12-$13 in Plano... It was to expensive!!! And after reading several other reviews I see I am not the only one it is very expensive here... 2 years ago somebody else posted a review and she said the exact same thing supplies have went up... Same thing she told me today but any other donut shop has pretty decent prices and I'm in Plano I was just visiting the hospital today and thought I'd stop in..
I made a quick stop here on mother's day since my favorite donuts place was closed, I figured I'd give them a try! Sadly the donuts were not tasty. They tasted very stale, it was still pretty early in the morning so, I didn't understand why they tasted so stale. It reminded me of the donuts you pick up from the grocery store in the boxes on end caps. I'm not sure if maybe I just caught them on an off day, we all have those days. Staff atleast was very friendly, the donuts just tasted terrible.
Almost with a 20 minutes for order when I was here before the order even started and the lady is extremely rude I would not come to this place
I came as soon as they opened. donughts we’re not good, over priced as well. I was charged 9.65 for 2 dozen doghnut holes & 1 small plain kilache. that means if the doghnut wholes were 3$ a piece that would make the “small kolache 3.65??
This is the absolute most I have ever paid for a dozen kolaches and mixed donuts. The lack of pricing anywhere in the store does not help. In the mixed donuts I had half that were just plain and chocolate… should have just gotten a dozen regular and it would have been cheaper. The only positive part of this review: the staff was friendly.
This place is ridiculous! My husband and son went yesterday morning bought a sugar donut and half a dozen donut holes and paid 8 dollars !! That is ridiculous! Every time we visit this place the prices are just ridiculous they aren’t always the same ! I don’t know if the young lady just puts random numbers but it isn’t the same ! The last time I visit I bought a dozen donuts half chocolate and half glazed I paid 35 dollars ! Save your money and go to a different location!

$21 for a dozen mixed donuts is INSANE. Way too expensive.
