Great spot to have a few cold draft beers and have a good burger!!! Only been here once but really impressed me on overall experience and taste of food
Nice patio with a friendly staff. The Fish and Chips was good overall. The fish was perfect. The chips tasted great but were a bit on the soggy side. Easily forgiven due to the other positives.
I’ve been a fan of this establishment since they’ve opened. The owners have been beloved family members here in Dallas for many years having owned several well loved Bars/Pub‘s previous to this one. Food is always phenomenal, the service is always exquisite. It’s a place that always feels like home with your family or sports Enthusiast.
The food is amazing! Definitely made me fall in love with calamari, and will only eat it with the lemon aioli *chefs kiss* I love the energy from the staff as well, 10/10 , my server was really friendly and was very informative on the menu my first time visiting this location , will always recommend to friends in town
Best service ever! Best food I've had. Salads, burgers, Shepherd's Pie and fries are absolutely top on the menu. Do not pass up on the fries. Don't skip a beat and head to Lochland's. You won't be disappointed!
Best Pub in DFW ! Excellent food, great libation selection, fabulous staff and owners. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Great retro 1980's music playlists. Great patio, great beer garden, great fun. I cannot think of a single negative !!! GO THERE and ENJOY !!!!
Friendly bar with a nice selection of drinks and delicious burgers.
Great place for watching games and drinking beers
Had Easter brunch here with my family. Everyone ordered something different and it was all good. I had eggs Benedict and loved every bit of it. Service was good. Food came out in a timely manner.
Good food, friendly staff. What you'd expect from a pub in Texas.
This is the best place to visit for any reason. Brunch is my favorite time to go and enjoy the best chicken fried steak, eggs and potatoes you can find! Peter and Cheryl treat you like family, and have the best staff of service that make you feel like you're at home with good friends. ❤️
Ordered curbside on a Saturday night. Got the fish n chips with salad and Reuben with ff. Wow so good. The fish was plump and juicy and batter perfect. The fries had a nice garlicky flavor. Spicy sacillian Flatbread was super delicious! Nobody answered the call for curbside service but other than that was a great experience. Really glad we tried it
The food was great (I had shepherd's pie), beer selections plentiful and they were easily able to accommodate us outside (due to COVID). We'll be back and anxious to check it out inside as well. This building used to be my veterinary clinic, but they've reimagined the space nicely as a pub.
First time eating here this evening and glad we did! The last time I had fish and chips (this good) was in Iceland (2018) and I think Lochland's might be better. All around terrific service too which is hard to find in this current landscape of hard-to-find help. No less than 5 staff visited us incl the owner and his wife to make sure we were taken care of throughout our meal. Looking forward to going back!
Good drinks great food alittle loud but that's to be expected. I had the steak frite it was amazing the steak melted in my mouth. The service was awesome my glasses never emptied despite them being packed. Parking was not an issue tonight but I hear that sometime you have to park next door with isn't a problem its 100ft walk.
I like this place. Shepherds pie is yummy, as is the chicken/sausage biscuit brunch-thing...the gravy! Nice people, good beer selection. Great bourbon selection! And how do you go wrong with large-screen rugby!?
Always a great time at Lochland's. Great food, drinks, service and atmosphere, whether you want a traditional Irish pub experience inside, or enjoy the great patio in back. Not surprising that it is one of the best run pubs in Dallas given Peter and Cheryl's significant experience!
The Beer Garden at Lochland’s Irish Pub was the perfect spot for our Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce happy hour. Cheryl and Peter Kenny were wonderful hosts! Our servers were attentive, the food was fantastic, and a special shoutout to the barkeep extraordinaire for crafting a stellar Old Fashioned! If you're looking for an awesome hangout in Lake Highlands / East Dallas, ya gotta checkout Lochland’s. #lochlands #lochlandsirishpub #beergarden #lakehighlands #eastdallas #gedcc #eastdallaschamber #eatlocal #smallbiz
I love Lochlands! The food is delicious, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere and people! (My husband is a vegetarian who's also allergic to eggs, and Lochland's vegan shepherd's pie is amazing.) The covered back patio, equipped with large fans, is a great place to hang out as well!
Lochland's is one of our favorite go to spots in Dallas! Great selection of beer and cocktail's. My favorite is the Not Your Average Vodka Soda with fresh strawberries and basil. The food is consistently fabulous with healthy and indulgent options to choose from. The service is always friendly. Lochland's is family owned and operated by Peter and Cheryl Kenny who know how to create a fun and enjoyable experience that keeps you coming back again and again.
just good food in a relaxed setting. Appropriate to get very drunk with friends or to bring your kids to. We had the loaded fries and burgers and they were all great. Can’t wait to come back for brunch!
Whether we are out for a date night or getting together with friends, Lochland’s delivers good times, delicious food, and amazing drink options. Best of all, as a vegan, I have several items to choose from, while my husband can still get his favorite burger, grilled cheese sandwich, or authentic crispy fish and chips. Eclectic selection of draught beers and many more in bottles. They also have a terrific patio and friendly staff. We love Lochland’s and you will, too.
I started going to Lochland's recently when my friend got me addicted to Guinness. I saw it being built over the months but I wasn't expecting much but man was I wrong. During my first few visits I was already feeling at home, welcome. The staff is super nice and the owners are very interesting. The food is fantastic! I've been trying different food every visit. They'll mix up whatever drink you want. Their mules are tasty and man do they pour a wicked Guinness!
Lake Highlands scored a great spot for family and friends to gather. The food is exceptional and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Specifically, the cabbage with the corned beef meal blew us away. Looking forward to many great times at Lochland's
This place is awesome. Food was great and staff was so friendly. Such a nice amd chill spot to come by after work
Really like this place! Great drinks and service is always good.
The food and service was amazing; meat had excellent flavors! More importantly, the beer and ale choices were superb! Definitely looking forward to going back.
Fish and chips are excellent. It is what my wife and I always get when we are in from out of town. I have had the burger and it is good too, but I haven't been able to find a match for the fish and chips anywhere, so we always get that.
Great GenX music in the background, amazing food, and an unbeatable staff. Great bar 🍸
We had a 20 person party in the Beer Garden on April 19,2024. The service was excellent! Julian was fun, pleasant and efficient at serving. Sable had the food out at just the right times. The food was AMAZING and my guests loved it. The atmosphere provided comfort, joy and laughter. Highly recommend Lochlands!!
We tried this spot out, for the first time, today for brunch. It was excellent. The atmosphere was great and the service can’t be beat. We had a party of 12 and the staff didn’t miss a beat. They were so friendly and had our food a drinks out very fast. It was just an overall great experience. Me and my family will definitely be back. I’m really glad we found this spot.
Our server was phenomenal! She went out of her way to learn our kids names and engaging with them. As soon as we entered, they gave our kids watermelon and puffy stickers! Our waitress put in our kids food prior to ours and it came out super speedy!! The overall bill was very affordable for brunch.
Service was great! Food was really good too!
Recently ate here for brunch and had an amazing time! The service was impeccable from start to finish, the food was top notch, and the environment was full of good vibes! Will definitely be back. The smoked salmon potato pancakes are fire and you HAVE to get the sticky toffee pudding!
My fiancé and I love coming here! The owners are always super attentive and nice to all guests. Their ingredients are always very fresh, including their smoked salmon. Proportions are big, so we always get a couple of things to share. I *crave* their lemon vinaigrette, it’s so good! Ask for extra when ordering their sunny salad or their avocado toast 🤤🤌🏼 So good.
We had a great experience at Lochland's! Our server was friendly, the vibe was on point for an Irish Pub and the food and drinks were great. Highly recommend the battered mushrooms!
Just moved to this area and wanted a good, clean, friendly happy hour/home bar and we’ve found it! Staff is hard working and friendly, and funny. The food portions are big so you might want to share (I’m talking to you Reuben lol) . Great place to watch soccer and rugby with the sound on. It’s a great Irish pub. And if you’re lucky you will get to meet the owners of this fine establishment working hard behind the bar too! This is now going to be our home bar 🤘🏽
Megan and mike are the best! Also, Albert who has been a regular of theirs from the beginning was extremely helpful. I got the ruben sandwich that was so good and my husband got the shepard pie and was recommended to ask for hp sauce. Everything was GREAT! Thank yall so much!
Steak frites was exceptional!!! It was my first visit, sat at the bar and quickly felt like a regular, the staff was very welcoming!
Great 1st experience on mother's day. Short wait for a seat at the bar as they were fully packed for brunch ! Bartender Paige greeted me warmly and gave me a firm handshake. I decided on a St Germain Spritz and Avocado Toast with 2 poached eggs on top. The cocktail was refreshing and I enjoyed my Avocado Toast too though the eggs were overcooked, but considering how busy they were, it would be an easy mistake. Will definitely try them out again. Service was stellar from all I encountered.
What a great place! My brother and I celebrated St. Patrick's Day here and we will definitely come back. They served up corned beef and cabbage which was like butter. I had two Priest's Collars which is Magner's Irish cider with a Guinness floater. For dessert, we had sticky toffee pudding and Irish coffee. I'm full, and this was 3 hours ago when we ate. The staff was great and took great care of their customers. Go!
Great food, great drinks, friendly unobtrusive service, fun atmosphere. They have a good selection of craft beers, plus some great mixed drink offers. We had the calamari, the cheese board, churros, and the Goat Man flatbread. All were excellent, and the flatbread was especially tasty. The outdoor patio is especially good for families with kids, and the whole place has a young, hip vibe. Limited parking, so arrive early at busy times.
As a former competitor & employee that was literally born into in the process & HVAC fluid-handling industry, I can attest firsthand to the excellent service, superb quality, amazing craftsmanship & unparalleled wealth of knowledge that from the people that are the core at Neal and Associates & the NAMCO Manufacturing Div. If you need any steam/fluid handling products or complete turnkey packaged systems, you cannot find higher quality products or trade craftsmen that are better. As for the gentleman that wrote a poor review because apparently nobody was there when he came by, apologies. In my experience, someone is almost always there from 7am to nearly 7pm M-F (maybe it was a holiday, a Friday before a Monday holiday or the day of the annual Golf Tournament?). At any rate, a simple phone call & someone can be there, wait for you, maybe even meet you somewhere or other arrangements can & have been made, many many times. Products have even been delivered to shops and job sites by the sales folks.
Shepards Pie sounded good to me, so we tried it out. We were both very happy we went. The food was excellent! Now I want to try more things from the menu. I really liked the pomegranate ice tea too. The service was fast and friendly, and everything was clean. Just a perfect lunch.
Cheryl and Peter are the nicest business owners around! Truly caring people. The food is amazing, great beer selection as well as a full bar. The employees are the best as well! Great neighborhood spot to meet old friends or make some new ones. Quality food, quality drinks, and quality people!
Went for date night and was great. The service was awesome. Our server took good care of us, and we also had refills at just the right times. Great selection of drinks. I normally don't care for sweet drinks but the paper plane was really good. Food was good, the fried mushrooms were bland, and they cooked the burgers one step above what we ordered them as. They had good flavor, and the truffle fries were great for me, but my wife thought hers were a bit salty. There is a beer garden in the back that we will definitely come back to visit.
Love the atmosphere and the eggs Benedict are out of this world especially when paired with the truffle fries!!
Well!!! Because it looked so niche, I decided to try and boy was I pleasantly surprised. The service was on point, no rush to eat or drink, no push to try anything specific, just great attentive service that definitely paid attention to the pace at which I was consuming and kept up with me. The food was delightful. Classic Shepherds pie and fish and chips were had. The crunch on the fish with the very dolly tarter sauce was to die for. The Shepherds pie was beefy and herby with a rich mashed potato topping. The serving sizes were also great because this food is not thw kind you want to leave behind or take home. You just want to inhale. As for the drinks, great variety but simple quality ingredients come together to give you just the right pre dinner buzz you need. I particularly wnjoyed the seasonal Hot Toddy and their mule drink with hibiscus was floral snd refreshing. Will make this place a regular dinning spot for sure.
First time in. It was lovely. We ordered the Cioppino and the burger. The fries were delicious and the broth of the soup was yummy! Nice drinks and Brittney was a great server. Super pleasant and check in often.
Had the craving for some fish and chips. Did a quick Google search and this place was close by. I'm not much of a drinker so I passed on the beer but they definitely have plenty to choose from. Placed my order and it was out within 10-15 minutes. Wasn't very packed, it is a Monday at 6pm. They brought out the plate and it was loaded really good! The Fry's have a garlic and Parmesan on them and that was a great treat. The fish was cooked great, fish was tender, the tarter sauce was fantastic! Don't have anything bad to say about the food at all. Had two people take care of me and both of the ladies were fantastic. Will definitely be back!
This place was is a five star all across. First time here and can’t wait to go back. We initially wanted to sit at the patio but ended up sitting at the bar. One of the bartenders was amazing - he was happy to answer all of our questions about the Menu and had some recommendations. We had the Shepherd’s Pie 🥧 (was delicious but definitely smaller then other places we’ve had it at) and the Sunni Salad 🥗 with shrimp 🦐 To drink an Octobers Fest beer on draft and a Lager 🍺 We love all the different sitting options., their Menu options and beer selection. And their Customer Service 👌 100% recommend this place.
Another wonderful visit to Lochland’s Irish Pub with the family! The food was delicious, and our server Julian was outstanding, friendly and attentive, he made us feel right at home. I also had the chance to meet the owner, Cheryl, who was busy making sure everyone in the restaurant was well taken care of. It truly feels like a neighborhood gathering place where you’re treated like family.
A Perfect Spot for Friends and Family! If you're looking for a fantastic place to gather with friends or family, this pub is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you'll feel right at home. The fully stocked bar offers a great selection, and the cold brew is always on point – perfect for quenching your thirst. Our recent visit was a true delight. The food was delicious across the board. We thoroughly enjoyed the classic fish and chips, a refreshing wedge salad, and a wonderfully flavorful pulled pork sandwich. Each dish was clearly made with care and tasted fantastic. What truly elevated our experience was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Their excellent service definitely contributed to a wonderful afternoon out. We highly recommend this pub for its welcoming atmosphere, great food, and top-notch service!
I fell in love with this place. A classic neighborhood pub. The decor is industrial with Irish touches but not kitschy. Clearly a neighborhood hangout. They feature rugby matches on the big screen (there are multiple other TVs) which draw an enthusiastic but not rowdy crowd. Plenty of beer, wine, and cocktail selections, and the food is good. I went for brunch (only available on weekends) and had smoked salmon on potato cakes, with an over easy egg added. Delicious. They have Guinness on draft, properly poured. I enjoyed a “snakebite,” which here is a Stella with Magners (Irish) dry cider. In other Irish pubs the beer is Harp, but they don’t have that here. If I lived in this area I’d be a Lochland’s regular.
As many times as we have driven placed Lochland's and said, "We gotta check that out!" FINALLY!!!! Stepped in on a early Saturday afternoon and was greeted by a laid back, traditional Irish Bar. With a reasonable amount of people, the atmosphere was cozy with just the right amount of bar noise(quite by most bar standards). I ordered the Breakfast Bourbon Martini made with Knob Creek & Smoked Maple Bourbon Peach Liqeur, and Bitters, it was a great Cocktail!! Strong upfront with a gentle sweetness in the finish made this cocktail a sure winner! Hubby ordered the Lochland Burger that was fat and juicy on a beautifully, soft, Brioche Bun was really good. A little Salt and Pepper would have went a long way on this patty that was supposed to be Medium Rare, but came our Medium. I had the House Hash and Eggs which was a dream! The Corned Beef was tender and NOT DRIED OUT! With under tones of juniper and stout, sauteed with Caramelized Onions, Breakfast Potatoes, and Hollandaise was a sure winner! Everything worked together seemsless and delivered on all the flavors I love in a good Corned Beef! Staff was friendly and attentive. I am so glad we stopped in for a Saturday Brunch after a day of shopping! If you haven't been? Check It Out!
Great place. The food was super, and I'm definitely going back. The service was decent, but it was St. Patty's day, and they did a great job trying to keep up. Highly recommend.
Pet friendly patio and outdoor seating, which is good except hot days when it has a pee smell - not too bad, but still. Indoors was loud when we were there. Food was good, beer was good (when's it not!) service excellent. I'll go back, definitely.
The service was great, the food fantastic. The draw back is playing and trying to come in from the north. This isn't the establishment's fault, but if I had to give a critique that was it. We'r had leftover flatbreads that I heated up for lunch 2 days later and they were still delicious. Also had a sazerac and black and tans that did not disappoint.
First time to visit Lochland's. Really had a pleasant experience. The Guinness had run out. That was a minor disappointment, but there were plenty of alternatives on the menu that I was happy to imbibe. I was especially impressed that they had a great selection of Sours, albeit, mostly Sours by Martin House, they are still great sours. The food menu was impressive. Hope to try more items on our next visit. Overall, great place. Nice and quiet. Very clean. Good atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff. Will go back.
Lochland's is a friendly neighborhood Irish pub with excellent food and drinks. We ate brunch here with some neighbors this morning, and my eggs Florentine was delicious, perfectly prepared, and colorful (I got a very fresh side salad with home made buttermilk ranch). Service was friendly and efficient, and there are always soccer matches on the plentiful TVs mounted in every corner. Parking is plentiful, too. Highly recommended.
The fish and chips were good. The drinks we ordered were way too strong and I found it hard to enjoy them since the only flavor was gin.
Went for the first time today for brunch. We were seated quickly and waitress was attentive, friendly and informative. We each order a latte. They were very good, small and (I thought) overpriced. The hash and eggs that my husband ordered was very good. The hash was shredded and had a little crispy to the ends, which was yummy good! He loved it! I ordered poorly. I ordered the eggs Florentine. Bland is the best description and I will not order that again. We will be back, however. Based on my husbands meal, I am sure there are multiple items on the menu that are great. I love čioppino, and the waitress said it was really good. Has anyone tried it?? I think this is an excellent addition to the neighborhood and can’t wait to try some of the dishes that are more flavorful!
Really good food here, staff is very helpful and welcoming. I would recommend coming on game nights because they put up big screens with them on, and have a cute little patio in the back. I definitely recommend 8/10 overall
Good vibe and good menu. Great prices for brunch drinks. Our server seemed very overwhelmed and people were receiving their food as others still hadn’t even ordered. Others didn’t receive their food at all. Sort of a mess but great atmosphere and food. I’m sure I’ll be back to give it another try, maybe with a smaller, more manageable party.
We celebrated St. Patty's Day. Had to pay a $10 entrance fee per person which I understand. They had a beer garden, dancers etc. The corned beef and cabbage was very good but little pricey at $18 per person but I guess that is the sign of times. They did have an extensive beer list along with cocktails. I would still recommend them since they were very close to where we live. Also in the beer garden it looks like you can bring your pets.
We have driven by multiple times and keep saying "we should stop in." Finally we did. Ordered a bourbon cocktail that was excellent (I'm a chef who cooks often with bourbon so it was right up my alley.) Friendly service and the food came out hot and fresh. The simplest thing was impressive... the side salad. It wasn't your typically iceberg lettuce. They actually used cut up romaine, sliced onions, grape tomatoes, a cucumber and a nice side portion of dressing. I ordered the lochland burger... I order medium and got well, well done. Some salt and pepper on the thick patty would have gave the overcooked burger some justice. The hash dish was on point. We will return, but next time I'll order medium rare to get a medium burger. 😉
Food is amazing, but i never feel welcome there. Bartenders are rude they always have a weird attitude when i seat at the bar. I only see they take care of their regulars and you can see the difference how they approach to you.
Great outdoor seating for social distancing. We ordered the cheese board, charcuterie board and 2 Bourbon Brambles(house cocktails)....well....the drinks were terrible, but sounded great. Both boards were overdone with pickles and nuts. The meats were hard to eat. Our server seemed a lite overwhelmed. The staff is very friendly here, so if you can take hit or miss food...it's worth supporting the local flare!
Food was good, not amazing, but I don't expect a new place that is busy to have everything dialed-in yet. Service was a bit frazzled, but obviously trying hard. The room is loud (maybe needs some acoustic traps) and the lights were dimmed mid-meal to a level that made it hard to see our plates well. Overall a positive experience, will definitely go back in a few weeks.
Very lovely Irish pub, pretty good food. I had the chicken and biscuits that came with a small amount of gravy. Tasty chicken, the house potatoes were crisp, lacking seasoning. And no salt or pepper in sight for us. I enjoyed my pancake. No real concern there. My friend enjoyed the Norwegian Benedict more or less. IDK why we payed for hotsauce instead of getting a bottle. I was very sad to see there was not many breakfast appetizer options. With that no English or Irish breakfast. Bangers with bacon beans toast and eggs. But this place has nice perks for a pub to come and sit enjoy. Not much for breakfast. Unless you just wanted a nice pick up from drinking the night before. I'll come back and try the dinner next time.
I was seeking some Shepard's pie. This place has pretty good Google reviews so I decided to go. Ummm the food was okay. The Shepard pie was a little to salty for me, but others may like it and for the portion size I received, it's not worth $16 plus 5% on each item for to go orders. The dressing for the salad tasted weird and not even any plastic silverware in the bag. I probably won't go back.
This is a nice place but the food is so so. My wife liked her burger but the fish in my fish and chips was probably the worst I've ever been served. It was the mushiest fish ever. We won't be back.
I love the atmosphere. Service was ok. Food was disappointing. Shepherd's pie was okay...lacked seasoning. The Lochlands burger was extremely disappointing. Just regular bacon, dry burger patty (also like swallowing sandpaper) just a boring burger 🍔 especially how much it costs. Probably won't be back.
Waitress was extremely rude to us from the moment we sat down. Thursday night, not crowded. At a small neighborhood restaurant, this is not the way you should treat your customers if you want them to come back. When you go out to have dinner, you don't want to feel uncomfortable at the place you are choosing to spend money at. It will probably be a long time before we consider coming back here. Very unfortunate because we used to love this place.
I want to like this place, but they are so hit and miss. I’ve had some decent meals here. I’ve at some horrendous meals here. The service has been the same. And vaping at the bar?! The owners are OK with it I’m told. Went out back and they were smoking at the picnic table next to the table with kids and that was cool too. Not for me and my family. Moving on. We tried.
Fun place and staff but waiter recommended fish and chips and he's wrong! The fish not good only the chips were good. He didn't follow up to ask how our food was. Seems to be more of a drinking place.
Last time going to this place for food. These guys are charging sky high prices for very tiny portions. I ordered the steak frites that claims 6-8oz. They gave me what looked like 4oz of steak at $40. My friend had the chicken sandwich. The chicken patty was razor thin. Another friend had the fish and chips. It was all breading. No thanks! Save your time and money on this one.
Extremely disappointed ! I drove an hour to come to this place , first I'll start with the Salad it was not fresh at all! I didn't even eat it when I ordered the Fish n Chips fish and bland and I was expecting beautiful steak cut fries not burnt fries and I'm not going to talk about how microwave hot the shepherd's pie was
Got take out fish and chips and chicken strips. Just awful. The fish was obviously frozen when put in to fry or the oven, how ever they do it. Complete mush inside a greasy batter crust. The chicken strips were over done and flavorless. Definitely not like the reviews on google.
This is a $23.00 Wedge Salad w Shrimp? That’s $11.00 for the Salad & $12.00 for 4 Shrimp. I would at expect some minor presentation for $23.00… but this looks pathetic pile of remnants looks dumped into a to go box. The staff is friendly, but I like food. This experience was the icing on the cake for my last one when I tried to call in an order for pick-up and was told I could only dine-in because they were too busy. Wasn’t sure about the logic in that one but whatever. I thought I’d give it a chance again. So much for that. No worries, I just won’t go back and definitely would not recommend the food.
