O my Gosh!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe I never ever heard of this place!!!! First time here I tried the beef bowl with rice and the volcano sushi Hot flavorful and wonderful customer service!!!!! There was a diverse crowd when I went in so that’s a good sign that the food was tasty And my it was!!!! I will definitely be back I had an awesome experience here😊

Love how this is down the street from where I work. I will keep coming here. Miso soup is good. The rolls are good (you must try the Unagi roll! ITS DELICIOUS) and they have onigiri on their menu! So glad I stumbled across this place! It’s a small mom & pop shop but the quality of the fish is sooooo good omg! It’s super cheap but so freaking good! Please support this small business if you can! I would whole heartedly recommend this place. Very good hole in the wall sushi!

Really nice people. I enjoyed the sushi and the rice ball. I had always wanted to try one and was not disappointed. Very good food.

The food was phenomenal, fair priced, and the gentleman who waited on us was so patient and kind.

Best tasting miso soup. I always add Sriracha but I liked the flavor as it was so I didn't. The mockingbird sushi was great. The chicken gyoza was spectacular. Tried it fried and was a big fan but next time I will be trying steamed. Overall it was the best sushi place I've ever tried, highly recommend it 💯

The staff was also extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Don’t be fooled by the exterior! It may not look like your 5 star sushi restaurant from the outside, but the food will absolutely exceed your expectations. Highly recommend Sushi Time to any sushi lover!

Delicious and fast served sushi great for lunchtime. My favorites are definitely the Volcano and Dynamite rolls and the miso soup and sweet tea. But everything I’ve tried here has been tasty.

Well-priced. I think they have new management, as inside of shop decor changed completely and menu prices/options also changed. Slightly more pricey than before, which I dislike. Overall, you can still get pretty inexpensive sushi that is still enjoyable. This has been my go-to sushi spot and I'll keep going, just less frequently after the changes.

The food feels freshly made and prepared. It definitely tastes 🍱🍣 delicious like it was especially made for each customer. This definitely reminds me of a mom and pop type cafe 👍. I ate through the food pretty fast 😋 and do admit the quality was pretty good. Can't really judge the service because like I said I was the only person there at the time and the lady was pretty attentive to me. I do feel like the prices are kind of expensive 🤔 but for the type of quality and service you're getting, this is probably the exact amount one should be paying now. If you're looking for sushi inside the medical district area of Dallas or close to downtown. This is definitely the location you want to try out. The food is fine. The service is terrible. I'm unsure why, but the waitress refused to acknowledge my son as he was ordering, and when my tried to add something to the order I placed before we were even finished ordering we thought she had taken it, but when the food came she actually cancelled one of my rolls in place for the roll he specifically said to add to the order. We were never checked on. Actually, no one was checked on it seemed until it was time for a check. All that aside the sushi is not too bad. Actually it's pretty good considering how cheap it is, as well as some of their entree/ lunch dishes. However, I would advise to not order anything that's fried or has fried foods. The grease is old and you can taste it.

Food prices have gone up and serving portions are smaller. The rolls menu is pretty much variations of a California roll. This place was better a few years ago.

We used to be regulars here and had our favorites. Unfortunately in the last year or so most rolls heavily feature cream cheese and good luck ever catching them open when you want to order. Sad because we loved them and told so many people about this spot but I guess it’s time to find a new regular place

You'll end up spending at least $30 just to get a decent meal because the rolls are small. Very frugal. May as well go to a high end sushi place, no big difference in price. Also rolls are mostly upgraded California rolls topped with fancy mayo and crunch. Disappointing.

As someone who as been coming to Sushi Time for the last 7 years I’m disappointed with the recent change. Change is good but not in this case. Over the years I tried almost every dish and loved each one of them. I even stopped going to other sushi restaurants so I could remain loyal to this beloved place. If I had posted this review a year ago it would have been a different story, I would have highly recommended this place and told you how I visited Sushi Time up to 3 times a week. It disappoints me to tell you that I am no longer coming here. The waitress was really sweet and friendly. She recognized my face and knew my orders, but the service isn’t the reason why I’m not returning. The menu has completely changed which I didn’t mind, it meant that I got to try something new but once I tried the food realized that I could not go back. It’s been good ✌🏼

Will not eat here again. Neither the tuna, CA roll, or shrimp tempura were any good. Edamame wasn't even good.

Poor service, small portions, and inflated prices should make you give this restaurant a pass. They are about the only sushi restaurant in the area allowing them to get by with the bare minimum for acceptable service. Three of us came for lunch on a weekday at noon and there was no rush which is always a bad sign. The server had to return to the table multiple times to clarify our orders, and they still came out wrong. Only one of us received our ordered beverages despite being charged for them. The prices were surprisingly high for the quality and quantity of the sushi. Take the time to find another sushi restaurant.

Update: I will not return to this place after the rudeness of the sushiya. I've been coming to this establishment since they first changed ownership/management. I even have a "10 Visits and Get 1 Free" card with 8/10 spots filled in. I asked for a sriracha and and eel sauce. The the woman who has always worked there under present ownership handed me two small plastic containers with a small amount of sauce and I thanked her. As I was turning to go, the sushiya yells from behind the counter, "Next time you pay for those! Fifty cents each!" I replied, "Then I will not be back." To the Sushiya: I can understand and empathize with your desire to keep cost down; however, nickel-and-diming a loyal customer who you've never asked to pay for those items and yelling such sentiment across the restaurant as I'm leaving is rude and unacceptable. You've lost my business. Previous Review: It's not as quaint as it was before the change in ownership/management, but I like their current offerings in both quality and price. The sushi chef is extremely friendly and accommodating, while crafting delicious fare. It's not the best sushi restaurant, but it is one of the best budget conscious ones.
