Awesome, ayce sushi spot in Dublin. Clean, with an excellent selection of sushi and other things. Wait time once at the table for food not bad at all. Definitely will come back

Get on the waitlist through yelp during busy hours! We drove an hour there, then had to wait longer since we underestimated how busy it would be. Still, Saturday 7pm, Yelp estimated a 60-70 min wait but it ended up being 40 mins. Nigiris have a nice fish to rice ratio, but they are heavily sauced so they felt as filling as the rolls. One order of rolls is 8 pc, or 4 pc for a half order. Some of the apps/non sushi items were also good, like the ika geso (fried squid), udon, ramen, and soba. The soba* was very delish! I woulda ordered another if I hadn't filled up on sushi. Food quality overall 4/5. Service was relatively quick & efficient. We interacted with about 3 diff servers who were all very friendly, patient, and informative. The only strange moment was when the hostess asked if we wanted the check ~30 min after seating us; nowhere near the 90 min time limit. The premium menu costs extra per item as listed. Got the uni for an additional $5, but they ran out of oysters. Would be great if these were included in the original AYCE cost even if they limited them to 1 order per person. Total ended up being $59/pp after tax/tip.

I’m glad i found this place. So far, this is the best ayce sushi in Bay area. Surprisingly the nigiri is hella fresh and the rice ball size is small. They have half and full options for rolls so you can try different kinds without getting full. Service is attentive. The restaurant is clean with nice decorations. Definitely come back in the future

AYCE Sushi on Friday night. Service was quick. Loved the option of half order of rolls. They had a nice variety of appetizers, sushi, and nigiri to choose from. Servers were super friendly and quick, even on a Friday night! Will be back to try the oysters, they were out of them today.

You must order the mushroom poppers — I even added two servings! They are mushrooms stuffed with cream cheese, packed with crab meat on the outside, and deep-fried to a crispy texture. The flavors are incredibly rich. The cucumber salad and seaweed salad come in small portions, which are super refreshing and help balance out the richer dishes. I ended up ordering several rounds of them. For nigiri, my personal favorites were: • Spicy garlic salmon • Spicy garlic tuna • Mango salsa salmon • Mad seared salmon • Freshwater eel • Bay scallop The salmon belly requires an extra $1 for two pieces, and amaebi (sweet shrimp) requires an extra $2 for two pieces. I love that the nigiri rice portion is small — it feels just right, not wasteful, and allows you to try more different items.

A while ago, my friends and I visited a $30+ Japanese buffet restaurant in Dublin, and I was truly amazed by the variety and quality! They offer tons of hand-pressed nigiri sushi, a wide selection of sushi rolls, udon, ramen, curry, fried chicken, and more. If you're heading to the outlets nearby, definitely check this place out and enjoy an all-you-can-eat feast! Here are some of my personal favorites: 🍣 Restaurant: Mad for Sushi 📍 Address: 7222 Regional St, Dublin, CA 94568 🍣 Nigiri – The rice portions for each nigiri are quite small, which means you can try lots of different flavors without feeling overwhelmed. The four of us could order 20 pieces each round, so we basically tried every nigiri on the menu. My favorites were the scallop, tamago, and salmon series. I’m not a big fan of tuna, though. 🍱 Special Rolls – Most of the menu consists of special rolls, and the portions are generous and very filling, so you don’t need to order too many. I recommend the Lion King roll, which is a baked sushi roll filled with imitation crab meat and topped with avocado—pure indulgence! 🍤 Appetizers – There are lots of small bites to choose from. I personally loved the fried shrimp, grilled beef, two kinds of fried chicken, seaweed salad, and udon! The portions aren’t too big, so you can try many different things and enjoy a great variety. Highly recommend for anyone heading to the outlets for shopping—great value and satisfying flavors!

All you can eat sushi? Bet. I thought the quality was going to be subpar being all you can eat, but I was wrong. Everything came out with clean presentation, balanced taste, and perfect for the family. They have everything for the kiddos like udon n tempura n katsu, and for adults? For me it was all about the nigiri!! Coming back again! Thankful to have a decent sushi spot that lives up to the hype 🤙🤙

This newly opened Japanese AYCE is so different from the ones I’ve had before! It focuses on sushi, but with less rice—so you can enjoy more of the fish and try more varieties. 😄 You can order à la carte or go for the all-you-can-eat option. I came hungry for lunch, so AYCE it is! My favorites: 🫑Jalapeño Bombs 🍄‍🟫Mushroom Poppers 🍣Salmon Egg 🍣Mad Seared Salmon 🍣Bay Scallop

We had the Lion King, Spicy Tuna, Golden Kights rolls and they were all great. Also had some appetizers of which the two Bombs were the best. Topped that off with Katzu Curry Rice and a Mad Rice Bowl w/ Bulgogi which was really good. In all, a really good meal for today’s world.

Absolutely loved Mad for Sushi! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The all you can eat menu was packed with fresh and delicious options. Every roll was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The appetizers, sashimi were all included and just as good as the sushi. The service was fast and super friendly; the staff made sure we were happy and our plates were never empty. The atmosphere was vibrant and clean—a great place for a casual night out or a special occasion. We left full and satisfied! Highly recommended for sushi lovers!

Food good for AYCE. Often times ayce = shitty good and a poor selection but the food was pretty good. They allow you to order only 2 rolls from the tablet, and no rolls from the server. Just hope you don’t get the old Japanese waitress. She’s rude and lied about having ice cream because she didn’t want to get it for us. I know she lied because I watched her table eat ice cream, made a comment, and then she gave us the ice cream.

Weekday AYCE lunch at $33pp - first time trying. Service was friendly and liked choosing a variety of menu items (lots of appetizers, small plates, sushi rolls and nigiri) Can order 5 items per person at a time. Wasn’t too busy so first round came very quickly. Appreciated the option to get half rolls to try more. Rolls aren’t super rice-heavy which is a good thing and the nigiri has a small piece of rice. Once kitchen got more orders, our crispy and baked rolls took a lot longer wait but they do state that on the menu. Overall, good experience - the ala carte pricing inclines you to do the ayce. Would likely stick to lunch vs dinner.

My second time trying an AYCE sushi spot in the Bay (first time was at Fuji in Concord) but definitely my favorite. While not all of the menu items at MAD FOR SUSHI were hits to me (I didn't love the nigiri I tried like the mango salsa salmon that weren't just plain fish and rice) most of everything I had was really tasty and felt pretty high quality for an AYCE spot. I was also really impressed with the small amount of rice that came along with the nigiri-- it really seems like these guys go out of their way to make sure their customers are getting a really solid portion of fish in each bite. Honestly though, while it might sound weird, I think I would have preferred a bit more rice on the nigiri pieces since that is what I'm most used to. The standout fish options that I found myself ordering the most were the salmon, yellow tail, tuna, and the Unagi (which I really loved). I definitely will come back here when I just want to just eat an ungodly amount of sushi for what I think is a super fair price. Not the best sushi I've had in the world, but definitely better than other AYCE spots I've tried by far! Also, the staff we interacted with were really friendly and the restaurant space itself is large and well decorated.

We eat AYCE lunch for my son’s birthday. Previous comments say the service is slow, it is not. They all come out very fast and fresh, we like those nigiri ones with small amount of rice. That is good size. We regret to order those rolls actually, make us full so quickly 😆. Many options for appetizers, special rolls. However, we like nigiri only, if there are more fish varieties for nigiri or have sashimi options , can be 5-star. After all , good lunch.

We arrived at 6 PM on a Friday. The restaurant wasn’t busy and there were many empty tables. The staff asked me to put my name on the waitlist and it will be a few minutes before she can seat us. We were finally seated after 10 minutes. I’m not sure how they will manage if the place gets busy. The waitress explained how to order and the time limit. The foods came out quickly. The nigiri were generous with little rice and a big slice of fish, which is how I like them. The fried octopus was delicious and so was the sashimi salad. The rest of the foods were ok. Our empty plates were cleared quickly and our tea cups were refilled often. We enjoyed our first visit.

The selection is great. Food is good. I especially love the nigiris and the cold soba. This place is good for small group (of perhaps 3 or 4 max) since there are time limits and ordering restrictions. The 90-minute time limit makes larger group settings not so enjoyable. We were a party of 6. They could’ve, perhaps, adjusted the duration based on the party size. But other than that, it was a good experience.

This place is remodel to a new sushi place. It's an all you can eat restaurant. First let's start with the concept. All you can eat, but you order from an iPad thing. The host explain it to me. But missed a lot of key things. You in each food category you can. But your limit to how many. So I was not told this but hey. Learning. They have a picture of each roll. That's good. The rolls are ok. I think they lack flavor and dedication. But for all you can eat. I can see the push to get food out. But at lunch time. There was not people and could be better without a rush. The ordering system need major work. I order a miso soup and it took the 2nd time ordering to get it. I could see at other tables there were issues. One lady walked out as she order from the iPad weren't going through. The waitress seemed frustrated. But I believe what is the manager saw that it was not taking orders. That would make sense as sometimes you would come out to take orders on the iPad. And there are sometimes I order stuff and it didn't come out. Or the biggest one was I would be given food and it wasn't mine and as you tried to send it back. They still try to give it to you. I got these tacos. But I rather give it back as I did not order it. That and at the lunch time there was only one waitress. I think the establishment thinks one waitress would be able to handle a room of people as it should be at least two more. And the waitress I had was trying her best to make it work. And for the price up $34.99 for all you can eat that should be lowered at least $10 based on the lunch and difference for dinner. Ultimately for a new establishment they have a lot of kinks that need to be worked out. A better ordering system that doesn't make mistakes. Giving more context of understanding that you're limited per category. And the price plan needs to be lowered based on lunch and dinner. I felt that this establishment is trying but I do not see it lasting for the next couple months to a year. I feel like something will take over and maybe do a better job.

I think they recently changed ownership. Menu selection is kind of wierd. Sit down is all you can eat, limited to 5 dishes per round, ala carte is takeout only. Portions were modest, it looked kind of sloppy and made by an inexperienced chef. The fish was falling off of the rolls as if they were made in a hurry. I do not recommend this place as there are plenty of better options nearby.

We arrived at 1:55 PM on a Friday after driving out of our way to try this restaurant. When checking the hours online beforehand, there was absolutely no mention that the restaurant closes between 3–5 PM. When we approached the host, she immediately told us we couldn’t be seated because “last call” was at 2 PM. At that point, there was still an entire hour before their listed closing time. I politely explained that we had come from far away and were happy to keep our visit short and finish before 3 PM. Suddenly a manager (or owner) rushed over and got extremely close to my face while speaking to me in a very aggressive tone. He said they could seat us, but only if they brought all the food out immediately the moment we sat down. Considering this is an all-you-can-eat restaurant, that completely defeats the purpose of the dining experience and made it clear we would be rushed. I simply pointed out that their online hours should be updated because nowhere does it state they close from 3–5 PM. Instead of addressing that, the manager began speaking loudly, repeating himself, and demanding an answer while standing inches away from me. I even asked him to lower his voice because there was no reason to create a scene. Instead of handling the situation professionally, we were ultimately kicked out. To make things even more ironic, the moment we walked out they turned off their open sign. Between the misleading hours online and the unnecessarily aggressive behavior from management, this was one of the most uncomfortable restaurant interactions I’ve experienced. A simple, respectful explanation would have gone a long way. Very disappointing, especially after making the effort to come here.
