Will drive out of my way on a trip to eat here! At LEAST a 12/10 😁
I was looking for a place to eat on my way home from Ft. Worth and saw this place. Glad I did, and I'm really glad I got there when I did because this place gets busy. Good food, atmosphere,, and the staff were great. I'll definitely stop by again.
The Margaritas are great, just like they should be. Long Island Ice Tea was good. Food was good exept the beans were edible but like outta can. Overall on the pricey side. We would go there again, but not too often.
It's a wonderful restaurant that we have "comeda" at for 20+ years. It's beautiful inside and the food is 5 🌟. The only complaint is the need for tapestries or rugs to cut down the loud echoing of the vaulted ceilings and tile noise. Honestly OSHA would probably gage the decibel to be ear plugs worthy. But I digress.... it is a superb establishment with exceptional food and service!
Good food. Good service. Liked physical set up of restaurant. Nice looking & excellent space between tables.
This is a fantastic restaurant. It's very popular, so if you can, eat early to avoid possibly waiting for a table. However, the waiting time is not too lengthy. The food is hot. Nice proportions. Great wait staff.
Stopped in with my wife & 2-year-old on Saturday afternoon around 4:30-5pm. It was decently busy, but near what it was by the time we left. Food was delicious, good atmosphere, staff was fantastic. I wish I could remember our server’s name, but she was great, as were the other staffers we encountered, whether in passing or if they brought out food or held the door for us on our way out. We’ll definitely be back again soon! OH! And their frozen margaritas were awesome! A lot more sour than sweet, just the way I like ‘em.
I drove 30 miles to meet relatives at Casa Torres in Decatur, TX. It was worth every mile. Food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. This has been a long time favorite restaurant when I am in the area. Check it out - it is worth the drive.
Service is efficient and the food is good.
WOW!! I definitely see why this place is so highly rated! The food is so good we went and aye dinner last night and then CAME BACK TONIGHT! It's so rare for me to get to leave a good review nowadays but thus place absolutely deserves it! We will be back! The waiter tonight was absolutely incredible!! He was on top of everything! The server we had last night was horrible! She messed up our order, had to ask her to refill drinks and she got that wrong too, kept popping an attitude but anyways THANKFULLY we got an amazing waiter tonight to make up for it! 😍
Very good food. Terrific place to visit.
Steak and chicken fajitas were amazing! Big portions, very tasty, and super accomodating subbing double beans and lettuce (instead of rice and tortillas). Highly recommend!! A little crowded Monday for lunch, but well worth the 15-minute wait, and service was quite efficient after that.
Hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant!!! you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu it’s so delicious but my favorite is there fijita plate. They give good portions and at a reasonable price. They are very quick every time and have such positive attitudes. I called in a to go order last night and my toddler fell asleep in the car and as a pregnant mama it’s not easy waking a cranky toddler to run in for just a min. So they were kind enough to bring my order out to my car and I appreciate that so much!!! Thank you Casa Torres staff!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lunch menu had lots of choices. We selected the beef fajitas to split. Plenty of food for both of us. We loved everything...chips fresh and crispy, salsa just the right amount of spice , beef was tasty and tender . Service was excellent. We had a small wait but we'll worth it!!
Oh my goodness, this place is the absolute best Mexican food that you will find in this area!!! Their food is delish!!! I just went there the other day for the very first time and they were absolutely packed to the point. I could barely find a spot to park but gratefully I finally found one when someone pulled out. I went in and made my order to go and when I did, my food was literally ready in 10 minutes. I was absolutely in shock. Got home. Everything was correct in the order and we will definitely be eating here quite often from now on. So if you have never eaten here, I would definitely recommend checking it out. 😋😋😋
First class all the way. Moved here from NM and truly loved the transition. This place is past good, it's marvelous. Enjoyed every minute there at the place. Very highly recommended.
The best restaurant in Decatur. Fast and amazing service. Food prices are very reasonable. It is the place we take all visitors. We love our local spot and worth the wait. We wish they had online ordering as takeout is hard with frequent busy signals on their phone.
We were seated promptly and had chips and salsa pretty quickly. The salsa was very tasty and had enough kick for my taste. The service was excellent: very attentive, managed multiple tables in our area, and met all of our requests. We ordered chicken fajitas and shared. It was plenty of food for my wife and I. We will definitely go back to try other items on the menu.
44 year old Texan, and these are the best fajitas I’ve ever had 👌🏽👌🏽
Had dinner Oct 18. Sat at the bar and ate. Cocktails and cold beer were outstanding. Bottled beer served in a frozen glass. Food was excellent. Had the appetizer tray for my meal. Food was excellent. All employees were polite and friendly. You can't go wrong at this place. I would return and recommend.
Been there twice and each time was awesome. We are from Amarillo, Tx so when we go to Dallas we make sure we stop. Great restaurant!!
The best salsa and beef fajitas around , been coming since he started in the house years ago.
This is a gem. The food is great, but honestly the service is even better. This place is consistently good and so fun to come to. What I love most is they have a line out the door which tells you they could do more business if they want to. They choose to have fewer tables inside to keep it feeling open. The wait staff has plenty of room to walk around every tables instead of having a cramped dining room. They seem to care about every single person that walks in. Great all around experience.
We loved the food. Everything was delicious! The service was amazing and the food came out fast!
My wife and I took some friends here and were very impressed with the quality of the food and service. We felt the price was well worth the amount and quality of the food. We plan to go here again.
This is a great place to eat. We enjoyed our experience and will be back.
Great spot! We headed in for an early dinner and the place was already packed (must be good!) I was surprised the bar was so tiny for such a large location. We grabbed a table and were promptly greeted with chips and salsa (my favorite kind of greeting). We had two top shelf skinny margs with Grand Marier floaters. I ordered the Beef Steak a la Mexicana and my boyfriend had the Carne Guisada. Both were amazing and large portions. We will definitely be back!
When in Decatur the only place we eat is Casa Torres the food and drinks are amazing the atmosphere is very comfortable and the service is awesome!
Three women meeting for lunch wouldn't be anything to write about. But us three women are fun and like to be welcomed and treated with the same fun loving attitude. Our waitress dod not disappoint. She made our lunch exceptional. I have eaten at Casa Torres a few times and would highly recommend eating here.
I can't stop thinking about those steak fajitas. The best, most tenderest steak I have had anywhere. Trust me, I have fajitad' a lot of places nationwide. Staff has always been great along with the food. I absolutely love this place! I go every time I'm in town.
Love this place the people are always super nice and on point with their service. The food is great and we like that you can sit at the bar and watch the game.
Absolutely love this place! We have been eating here since they were originally in the little white house. The service and food is always amazing. Food is freshly made. Tastes great!!! I highly recommend that you give them a try. You won't regret it.
I’ll be honest - I really don’t think there’s better Mexican food in the state of Texas. I live an hour away and have tried every Mexican food place in my area Jan’s the surrounding areas… nothing compares to this place. I hate the drive but will gladly make it for the fresh salsa, chips, queso, and the most amazing chicken!
It was the 2nd time my husband and I ate there. Food was great! Service was great! Waiter was super friendly and attentive. Reasonably priced. I got beef fajitas and had leftovers. Very pleased!
This is our family's favorite place to eat Mexican food. Everything we've eaten here has been great. We especially love the enchiladas, fajitas and taco salads. The chips and salsa are so good! It's so easy to eat too many chips and be full before the entree arrives. The margaritas are excellent, but my favorite drink is their Strawberry Daiquiri. If you love Tex-Mex, you need to give this place a try. It's the best!
I have been coming here for years, back in the old house. I have never had a bad experience in any capacity. Always friendly staff and fast service. Even when we have large parties, the food is out in a timely manner and is always correct and hot.
We had a party of 7 but not all arrived at the same time. Even so we were seated which isn’t ordinary for lots of restaurants. The server was so attentive and pleasant. And the food was delicious!
Best Mexican food I have had in a long time. I mean everything hit today. The chips were warm and tasty, the hot sauce was not too hot or mild but it was sooo favorable. I had a cheese and beef enchiladas with beans and rice- all well, perfect and I never say everything is perfect. Normally at a Mexican restaurant something is good, but something is just okay. My highest recommendation. Oh and the service- despite being very busy with a note that stated they were short staffed, everything was fine. Our server, Jesús did an excellent job while waiting on several tables.
A gem of a Tex Mex restaurant in a stylish and clean setting. Very popular, so it gets crowded at peak times. My favorite is the combo fajitas, but everything else my wife and I have tried was excellent. Family owned, very reasonable prices on an extensive Tex Mex menu, and attentive, friendly servers. I try to eat here whenever I pass through, and highly recommend it.
Not a regular, only go here once or twice a year. Food is always very good with fair prices. Premises always very clean and the staff are always on the ball. Excellent service.
Very crowded, big line for a table. I asked the hostesses if I could be seated at the bar. Literally, 2 minutes for the chips and salsa. 5 mins my chicken fajitas were out. Only bummer is no draft beer or no selection of craft beer. No biggie on that. Best chips and salsa I've had in a hot minute. 10/10 food. I can't believe I waited so long to try to place. We would always pass it on the way to and from Winstar. Looking forward to the next visit 🤙
We come through every month to and from Amarillo to Dallas and back. This has because a favorite stop of ours every trip. The food is all excellent and fast service. The wait staff and bartenders are always friendly and professional. I highly recommend this place, you want be disappointed
We love their food. Prices are pretty normal for mexican restaurants. I always ask for something not on the menu and they don't mind fixing it.
Been looking for authentic good Mexican food for the last year and finally found a great spot. Food was very good very reasonably priced and Service was amazing. My wife has celiac disease and our waitress did everything and even communicated with the kitchen staff to make sure that she did not have cross contamination. Overall 10 out of 10 will definitely be coming back more frequently now that we found it.
Food is great. Efficient cooks that get hot meals out in a timely fashion. Servers are helpful abd kind. A little slack on getting our credit cards back to the customers. Servers could use some work on that. Otherwise its perfect in every way.
I've just discovered this place as I was passing through town and looking for something to eat. So glad I stopped here because the food is exceptional. Right off the bat the salsa is righteous and a good indicator of good flavors to come. Since I was new here I asked the server what he would recommend and he said he had only worked there a couple of weeks but he had tried all the different Pablanos(chicken, beef, or shrimp) and they were good so I ordered the chicken Pablanos and it was delicious and not too rich. The serving was so large I made 2 full meals out of it. My wife had the steak salad and the steak was also exceptionally good. I look forward to returning to try more things on the menu.
The food is wonderful! Only gone twice so far and had to get the same thing again because it was good! The jalapeños on the dish were justified as well. The Frozen Margarita Swirl drink was very pretty and very good as well! 4 stars for atmosphere just because when it got closer to the evening and sunset, it got quite dark in there.
Excellent service and delicious Mexican food. The menu has a lot of variety and the fajitas a fresh and the meat is tender. We have been here for dinner several times and have been to a birthday party in their large back room. The catering for the party was excellent. Well worth the drive if you are coming from out of town.
This is the place in Decatur Texas for really good Mexican food and margaritas. Good table service with reasonable prices. Try it out if you love good Mexican food, don't try it out if you're in a hurry. We've eaten here on many occasions. Most every visit there is a relatively long wait to be seated.
Casa Torres is the absolute best authentic Mexican restaurant in Decatur. Wife and I are so impressed with this establishment and the food is so good and tasty.. We have been here 3 times now and took pictures this time.. The owner is on site and a very nice man he is.. the service is great. We highly recommend Casa Torres to everyone. This is a awesome place to take love one for date night, or catch a great meal with the family. We will do Casa Torres once a week..

Amazingly good!!! Great service. We highly recommend Don't hesitate to try this restaurant out.
Been here at least a dozen times and it's truly a gem. This place is easily the best restaurant in town and nothing else comes close. The service, food, and vibe are great and very family friendly…
Love the ambience. Chips and Salsa good. Margaritas on rocks...very good. Chille Relleno top notch. Chicken Enchiladas tasty! Service was great as well.

All I can say is that the food tasted great and the service was unbelievable spot on. And what made it even better was that their prices were less than other Mexican restaurants.

Chicken quesadillas were yummy. Queso was not yummy at all but chips and salsa were good. Service could've been friendlier. We had a tamale served almost cold while other dishes were piping hot. It was an ok experience. Good prices.
Thought we would try since it’s always packed. Food had very little flavor. Cheese dip was very bland. Fajitas where not over cooked. But the flan was, bubbly and watery. I appreciate the healthy meal.
Took a drive from Fort Worth based on the good reviews. For a Saturday at noon the place was packed. Didn't have to wait long though. The chips and salsa were very good! Could've used a little heat though. I got an enchilada combo plate with chicken with salsa verde, beef with sour cream, and cheese salsa ranchero. All very good. Loved the rice and beans too! My wife had a cheese enchilada with queso, and chicken with sour cream. Hers was great as well! The staff is very friendly and attentive. Will go back.
A solid 4! The best steak fajitas! Everything else is better than average tho. Top shelf margaritas are the only way to go. Weekly family Happy Hour works! Get the spicy salsa. The staff tends to rush you-dont let them. i eat here almost every week.
Salsa = good. Queso = melted unseasoned Velveeta. Flour tortillas = store bought, thin, unremarkable. Beef fajitas = really great, good portion, good value, really tender, great flavor. Service from Yennifer = 5 stars. Really nice to go out and have a great service experience. Top notch. Flawless.
Fast and friendly. And the food is always hot and delicious! After the pandemic we finally had a chance to go again they are still delicious, still very fast service. I ordered the flautas for the first time, I have to admit they were not my favorite. They were good. But the enchiladas are much much more tasty. My daughter ordered the steak pablano and omg YES PLEASE. THAT WAS DELICIOUS! the husband ordered a burrito, it was also good. But again I will get the steak pablano, or enchiladas next time. ❤️ Thumbs up!
Very nice atmosphere, clean. Friendly staff. The food portions and prices are reasonable. We got chicken fajitas and the kids got chicken nuggets and fries. We got queso which was disappointing, it just tasted like melted cheese. The salsa was really good, and adding a little to the queso really made the flavor pop. Otherwise, everything was great.
It was decent, we have been wanting to try it for awhile as the line is always long. We arrived a little before 5 and did not have to wait. The atmosphere was kind of dark, but the decor was interesting. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was ok, nothing to write home about, the menu seemed to be the same 2 or 3 meals repeated in slight variations. (Good if you like fajita style Mexican food) I had tacos and while the meat was well seasoned, the grilled onions kind of threw off the 'street taco's feel. Wife enjoyed her Monterey chicken, and the bite of it I tried was pretty good. Overall it was definitely a Tex-mex vs authentic Mexican food, might try it again, but generally speaking not my style.
Best mexican food in Decatur. Great selection. Love the chicken poblano. Chips and salsa are great. Wish they had a better taco variety. Fish or shrimp tacos would be great.

The salsa was delicious, but the food wasn't very flavorful.
Plate of food, iced tea and a tip will be at least $20. Food isn’t bad, also not great, if I had to describe it would be like if you found Mexican food in Northern Europe made by some nice folks that think mayonnaise is spicy 🥵. Most of what I’ve had was pretty plain and seasoned to the level you would expect someone on a low salt diet needs to eat. But it is clean, food comes out hot, the folks are nice, and the iced tea is good. It’s passable with a good douse of Chalula that they will bring you.
Definitely not worth the wait. The food was mediocre and the service was slow.
I've heard such wonderful things about Casa Torres from friends and coworkers. My wife and I finally got a chance to go. The parking lot was packed, and there was a 30-minute wait for a table, so we just knew it was going to be amazing. The service was amazing, and the food came out hot. The disappointment was the subpar chips and salsa, and the food was bland. I'd been wanting to go for so long. I had really high hopes, but I was so let down. Oh well, at least I can say I tried it.
6-24-2021 I pulled up this restaurant on Google and it had 4.6 stars so I was pretty impressed. We pull up and the parking lot is pretty full so I think this food has got to be good. We start off with Chips, sauce and some queso thats was 3 stars. Then we ordered combination fajitas beef were pretty good the chicken didn't have much flavor to them. The tortillas were not homemade the rice was ok the beans were good. Now let talk about the waiter we had. At 1st we thought he was going to be good then we ran out of drinks so we place them on the outside of our table and he passed us 4 times and don't even ask us for refills. We had to call another worker for refills and he brought us new cups with drinks real fast. Our waited finally stopped and seen our new drinks and asked if we needed any more drinks lol we already have new drinks. Ratings for todays visit Cleanliness 5 stars Service 3 stars Fajitas 3 stars (everything on plate) Queso 3 stars (plain cheese sause) Hot sauce 4 stars 18 out of 25 Total of 3.5 STARS for today
After reading all the other reviews we had to go try it out. Sadly we were not as impressed as all the other reviews. Hot sauce had too much cilantro in it. Don't get the caso, it's just plain and not much flavor. The food was okay, but we've had better. Service was great and it's a nice place.
Rice wasn't fully cooked. Server didn't know what kind of "chili con carne"..said she didn't know, but "I think, red sauce" (?) Very busy. Nice inside. Staff needs better training; saw many standing around, on their cell, couple cut me off walking back to our table. Guest always have the right a way! Good prices. I'd go back, but hope f

Flan was overcooked, manager came over & told us that's way they make it, no it's not. He was rude! We'll not come back ever!
The food here is great but it’s ridiculous when you have to wait outside in 98 degree heat or in the rain. Jesus, even California is opening up to 100% occupancy and dropping the mask requirements…
The owner is an absolute jerk. Before I even step a foot in the restaurant he came to tell me I could not park in the parking area because I had a small trailer. The problem is that it was 2:30 in the afternoon and there was no one in the parking lot. He could have said, “hey sir, this is our policy but since there is no one in the restaurant go ahead but next time please make sure you know that we have limited parking spaces and it can get crowded”. But instead he basically kicked me out of the restaurant…good thing there’s another cool spot called “Nueva Era Taqueria” and they have amazing food and better prices!
If I could give negative starts I honestly would. The food was absolutely horrible, Taco Bell would have been a step up! The caso looked and tasted like cheese whiz, guac was not fresh. ZERO flavoring in any of the dishes our party (12) ordered and we had a variety of dinners. The waiter was made aware and stated he was going to talk to "the manager lady" and would see what could be done. The waiter came back with the bill'S and said nothing could be done. No one in our party took more than three bites of their meals. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
terrible portions. if you aren't interested in loading up on 1000 calories of chips and salsa (which, conveniently, 90% of the little piggies that frequent this place have no issue with) you'll leave hungry every time. either the portions of every single item on the menu should be doubled or the prices should be halved.
We were at the restaurant for nearly 2 hours. We had drinks at the bar then food at a table. I had my small service dog in his stroller leashed to his service dog harness. The owner saw us at the bar then at the table and then when we’re going to pay told us the dog could not be in his stroller where he was contained and that he had to be in the floor. That’s not the law and the owner continued to discriminate against us and said that is his rule. I was treated very badly due to have a small service dog who never barked, could not even reach the table, was completely contained in a dog stroller and there were NO customer complaints
Yall will never get mine or my parents business ever again...who have been regulars (literally averaging 1.5 visits a WEEK) for the past 15+ years! My parents have literally spent thousands and thousands of dollars at your restaurant! So one day my parents are done eating and was paying for their meal and their server who they have loved for years was a little busy at the table next to them, so my father put the cash on the table with tip included and looked over at their server to make sure he acknowledged the money on the table which he did (but didn't grab the money because he was busy) and they left. Within a week or so my mother was with her friend or friends and walked in to be seated and once they were, one of the staff walked up to my mom in front of her friends and told her that their previous visit my father and her shorted the bill by $10. Their normal server walked up and told the staff member DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN REGULARS FOR YEARS AND HE STATED THAT HE GOT BUSY THAT DAY AND ANOTHER STAFF MEMBER PICKED UP THE CASH THAT MY PARENTS LEFT ON THE TABLE. Instead that staff member told my mom pay the $10 dollars and out of embarrassment she did because she was just trying to have a meal with friends. FROM NOW ON I WILL POST THIS REVIEW UNTIL THE OWNERS REACH OUT TO ME AND MAKE THIS RIGHT!
Ordered a steak quesadilla. The steak was dry, overcooked, and rubbery. The cheese was almost non-existent and even if both of those were fine the portion sizes are horrendous for how much you pay. I can get a better quality quesadilla with a more generous portion for less money at taco bell.
Please, God, not another cafeteria quality restaurant pretending to be Mexican food. Beautiful place, nice people. But I could get better food off the shelf at HEB. Very disappointing. I suppose they are catering to their entirely middle aged, white clientele. But guess what? I'm also a white, middle aged client. And I'd like actual Mexican food when I go to a Mexican restaurant.
