I love coming here to Paschalls- I’ve been here 3 times now and the best part of my experience was the friendliness of the staff! Victoria has helped me and my friends and family and is always really helpful - makes the perfect cocktails and is able to cater towards your preferences. I really appreciate her! She’s amazing!

I’m convinced Paschall (the building’s OG proprietor), had a twirly handlebar mustache and walked around in his smoking jacket with a glass of scotch in hand. Just walk in once and you’ll get these vibes. It’s also Denton’s only speakeasy. There’s not a secret code or hidden bookshelf door that gets you inside, but they basically don’t advertise themselves to outsiders. You just gotta know to look for it. Just look for the unmarked door next to Andys — it opens to rickety stairs leading up to the old-world style bar on the second story. While it does come with the expected speakeasy bar prices, they do have a $1 off discount on drinks M-F, 5-7pm on select cocktails — if that’s the excuse you need to give this place a shot. A few delicious specialty cocktails that are unique we enjoy: ✨Smoking Jacket: $15. Single Pot Irish Whiskey. Luxardo. Sugar. Maple. Orange Bitters. ✨Fleur Du Mal: $10. Gin. Kina Tonic. Grenadine. Lillet Blanc. St. Germain. Fresh Lemon. Grapefruit Juice. And classic cocktails: ✨Espresso Martini: $9 ✨Mojito: $8 ✨Old Fashioned: $8 Plus, you get a great view of the courthouse if you get a seat next to the windows.

This is one of our absolute favorite places to go in Denton. The cocktails and atmosphere are second to none. There are gorgeous views of the square, especially at sunset. This is a great place for a date night or quiet evening out. Keep in mind, it’s a specialty craft cocktail bar. So don’t expect to have your drinks made within a few seconds. The drinks take longer to make, but you can taste the quality. We typically prefer to go on a weeknight to avoid the crowd, but weekends are fun too. You just have to wait a little longer for drinks. This place is a must see in Denton. Favorite cocktails are the Narssica & the Smoking Jacket.

I asked a local bartender where the best place for cocktails was in Denton. This place was the only one he named. A year later, it is my go to place for the most consistently scrumderlyumptious cocktails in North Texas.

A cocktail bar with a vibe straight out of yesteryear (in the best possible way) with modern flavors that keep you wanting to try the next one on the menu. Dont like your options? The bartenders are helpful in figuring out a good cocktail for you. Warning though- service is not fast- you are here for the experience so relax and enjoy

Stopped here for cocktails 🍸 We’re not often in Denton but will make sure we stop by next time we are. The whole place is a vibe and they have e ample seating options and their menu does not disappoint. Definitely recommend this place Plus they have a great Happy Hour Menu 👌

Cozy Hidden Gem Loved the cozy vibe here — perfect for a laid-back night out. Highly recommend the Lavender Lane cocktail — smooth, floral, and just the right amount of fancy. And of course, you can’t go wrong with a classic Old Fashioned.

We had cocktail hour here after our wedding and the vibe is unmatched! We rented the space outside of business hours (you won't find somewhere more reasonably priced) and the staff was absolutely incredible!! Our guests are still talking about it almost a year later. This place was SO much fun! I'm always in the lookout for "secret" bars. I love the fact that the entrance is SO low-key. If you didn't know you would not enter. I will take any friend visiting to this hidden gem. Also, their staff was super friendly and the bar tender was classy. Loved the cocktails, and the ambiance is beyond beating. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could give it 5+. Update: I visited again, and it is still amazing!

We have always wanted to check this place out, and we couldn't be happier trying it. Amazing...beyond unique cocktails! The only negative is cleanliness. The couches where a little gross almost like someone puked on it. Bathroom floors where beyond sticky. Other than that great cocktail bar. Cheers to cocktails!

My favorite place to drink. The ambience is at the top level. But it’s fairly hard to find open seat for a whole group. This place is so popular. But definitely gotta try their signature drinks, they are all taste so good.

It’s on the corner of N. Locust and E. Oak in downtown Denton. This place has such a cute vibe. You feel like you’re going back in time because of the speakeasy feel. It’s a great place for convo, drinks and darts. My daughter enjoyed the cocktails there and we ended up playing darts in the back room. The best part is you can see downtown Denton and people watch from above because it’s on the second floor. Great views of jumbo tron TV in the food truck area. I recommend going there for a unique experience.

a very very cutesy place, however there are a few complaints- the bartenders don’t seem to enjoy helping out people and the quality of their drinks isn’t great. Everything is either WAY too much simple syrup, or so bitters heavy that it take away from the integrity of the drink. The whisky “sour” was almost the same level as a lemon drop & their espresso martini was coffee flavored vodka shaken with cream (overall a 3/10), for how high end of a bar they are, the martini felt very cheap. Definitely disappointed with this visit, but most likely will return.
