I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and crinkle fries. The burger was truly a smash burger with crispy edges. Most places just make a thin burger and call it a smash burger. It was sooo tasty. The fries were seasoned perfectly. The sweet tea was good even with it being a fountain style. They also had other great fountain choices like root beer and cream soda.

I tried out Slap Burger for the first time and had a great experience! Conner was extremely nice, patient, and helpful while I decided on which burger to get. The burger was so good juicy, flavorful, and a large size that definitely hit the spot. I also ordered the loaded fries, and they did not disappoint. I’ll definitely be back

I'm not going to lie. I wanted to try out this place and it did not disappoint. Burgers are made fresh on point they don't skip out on toppings and it's delicious. It's worth every cent. Fries are cooked just right too

The food was incredible. These fine people are masters of the maillard reaction, and they use it with startling proficiency. I had the bacon cheddar burger, double of course with mushrooms. My wife had the fire- breather single with no onions. The food was served hot off the line, and it was beyond delicious. Sizzling, crispy beef, soft brioche buns, and fresh crisp veggies done to perfection without any compromise at any point. Slap burger is a flippant name, but a florid and deadly serious love note to all that makes a burger great. The end of our meal, we were checked on by one of the cooks, and we were made to feel thanked and welcomed. Money and time well spent. Ps: The shakes are nothing to sneeze at either!

Best place if you want an awesome burger. The staff were very friendly and professional. My order took less than 15 minutes from the time I walked in and placed it. The dining room and kitchen was very clean. I'll definitely be back

My husband LOVES hamburgers. We are new to Texas and have tried a lot of places recommended by the locals. SlapBurgers near UNT was recommended and we were given a heads up not to judge from the outside. However, I have to confess we did and almost didn’t stop : 0 Before committing 100% to eat there, one of us went in to look around first, found it was very clean and even talked with a group that was there. Their response sold us so needless to say we stayed for lunch and enjoyed a great burger and fries! Our order included a SlapBurger combo and a ‘Shrooms & Swiss Burger combo. Both were excellent and the fries were hot & crispy. Staff members were all very friendly and appreciated the compliments bestowed upon them by the hamburger connoisseur himself. Without a doubt, we will be a return customer!

Heard about this place from @blondeswhoeat on Instagram, burgers were amazing and Cajun fries had a great flavor! The young lady who took our order was new and didn’t really have recommendations but we did just fine on our own. If you are ever in Denton check this place out!

The food was extremely fresh! The burgers are very flat and wide. But one patty is enough for me. Men might need two. The fries were fresh, hot and delicious! They have two different styles of ketchup too! I was so happy to get spicy ketchup! The banana shakes are the best!!! You have to get one! I would highly recommend this place!

Arrived at about 1:30pm there was only 2 other occupied tables. Pretty clean environment. I will note its the best smash burger I’ve found so far in denton. 🤌🏼 I got the bacon cheese combo, next time ill skip the slap sauce and just add mustard and mayo.

Slapburger always delivers - comes through with HOT fresh BURGERS . The Staff are always friendly and helpful . Service is crazy fast with generous portions . The KITCHEN is obviously a ' tight(ly run ship ' . KYLIE the Manager is always very friendly , welcoming , courteous and professional. I love having Slapburger in my neighborhood !

Great greasy burgers! Fries are excellent when they are still fresh! So crispy! Togo container steams them and ruins them. Too bad! I was all ready to be a regular customer. No special, too expensive! Glad Denton has several good burger options! If I’m gonna pay $20 plus tip, I’ll just go on over to the steakhouse!

However I worry about the cleanliness of the place as I saw the inside of the trashcan and near lost my appetite. Our youngest wouldn’t eat after looking at it and seeing a bug. Food is amazing and we usually love eating here. Key word eating there, at the restaurant!!! Got there at 11pm they close at 12am went to order our food as we had been on the road all day and wanted to sit down to eat and enjoy our burgers. Well the girl at the counter priced to allow us to order our food before informing us they where only doing takeout since they closed in an hour. AN HOUR and refused to let us sit and eat our food which would have taken less than 20 minutes to do so. But now we get to drive another hour before we can even enjoy our food which at that point will most likely be cold. I get it is a bunch of collage kids running it at this time of day but 12am is 12am not 11pm no longer let a family sit down and enjoy their food. Unsure how long it will be if we even choose to come back at all.

burger not bad but fries were cold and way overcooked, like rock hard. not really edible. Which is disappointing when you're paying $17 for a combo and tipping for counter service

Been here a few times, and they normally don’t have issue. Burgers and fries are delicious. They messed up my order, I was already home when I opened it and saw it was an impossible meat burger. I had gotten a fried chicken sandwich. If I’m paying that much for a burger and fries it needs it be right. There was only two other customers in the restaurant and mines was the only ticket they were working on. Everyone else already had their food. I don’t know what happened but I don’t want to throw down money and not get the right meal.

I typically don’t write food reviews, but this place made me so upset. I felt the need to write my review from the parking lot before I even drove home with my food. My wife found this place on TikTok and recommended we come here for dinner tonight, I decided to stop by on my way home from work and I order $90 worth of food. The drinks weren’t carbonated and they didn’t tell me that prior to me ordering my food so I ordered all these combos with no drinks. Then I asked for a manager to refund the combos and just let me get the burgers. He’s having such a hard time refunding the money that I say you know what let me just get shakes instead of sodas. they start making my shakes and halfway through making my shakes The power goes out on the machines, So now I have to sit here with food getting cold, and the shakes that are already made melting while they figure out the power issue and remake the other shake. I don’t know if they’re shorthanded what’s going on with management or what’s going on. But to pay $90 for cold burgers cold fries and melted shakes is absolutely ridiculous.
