Amazing steak, mashed potatoes and caesar salad! If you are in the area, definitely go! It's very good.

We've eaten here a few times now and it's amazing every single time. The wait staff are always super nice and attentive. The chef is always on point no matter what you order. It's just perfect every time.

The price tag looks high until you get your food, lots of it with great service! Highly recommend a French onion soup and a queen cut prime rib, and definitely a to go box!

I made reservations for 3 and I must say...from the welcome to the service to the food,drinks/wine and dessert EVERYTHING was beyond 5 stars...thanks to our host, our server KYA and the chef Ethan, everything was beautiful! I will most definitely be back in January for my birthday 🙏❤

My husband and I ate the buffet breakfast. The food choices were nice and the food was good. I just wish we were told we could request the kitchen make omelets. We didn't know until a customer actually did it after we were eating. But I would eat there again.

The food is always superb!! The French onion soup is to die for; the steak is phenomenal and the baked potato is always creamy! The service never disappoints. And even though the casino is right behind the door, the atmosphere is always quiet and relaxing. We were celebrating a birthday and our waitress brought our dessert with a candle. Highly recommend!

Quiet setting away from casino floor noise. Lobster and steak were perfectly prepared, side dishes are large and wonderful wait staff. Dinner for 2 for under $100 was wonderful. Will be back again

We ate there tonight it was outstanding service was fantastic. Our survey was Prompt courteous and and very friendly. Best chicken fried steak I've had in years my wife's salmon was delicious thank you for a great time.

Our waitress Maria gave us the best service and super friendly and on top of everything. Food was cooked perfectly I had the ribeye and wife had the chicken Alfredo with a calamari all was great .Super clean and nice place ,next time I'm getting the hamburger and jalapeno poppers.

Steak was tough and chewy. Employee has on his phone with his gloves on and did not change when he got off the phone. We were there for the Valentines dinner. The wait staff were wonderful.

Food was very good, service and drinks were lacking. Seemed like every table got a basket of bread soon as they sat down, we didn’t. Wife ordered a vodka drink that didn’t taste like it had ANY vodka in it. I asked for another beer and I got handed a cocktail shortly after. Atmosphere isn’t anything to write home about. Asked each host and the waitress to get us a high chair and finally got a booster seat on the fourth request.

We have eaten here one other time and had a great meal and service. We probably should have known not to go on a holiday, Valentine's Day but our family if 5 adults had a less than stellar eating experience tonight. 3 of us ordered the $5o Prime Rib. All were so tough, 1 sent back, 1 didn't eat but a few bites other toughed through it because it was so expensive. My coconut shrimp was large but too crusty and flavorless. The other meal was an over seasoned lobster tail. We overlooked the service due to a busy holiday. After paying $300+ for dinner, we will not be back.

We had one of the worst experiences here tonight. It was just my buddy and I at our table and a man and woman at another table several tables away. It took the one waitress on duty almost 20 minutes to finally come to our table and ask us what our drinks were, apologizing for the long wait due to some sort of mix up. While we were waiting, we observed her at the other table quite a bit, being really friendly with that couple at the other table. After getting our drinks, the waitress, some girl with long red hair and a nose ring, (I honestly can't remember if she gave me her name or not.) took our order. I ordered the new york strip med-rare. (a $52 steak) After not writing down our orders, she gives them to the people in the back then gets friendly with that couple at the other table again. After some time, we got our dinner, and she took off again back to the other table where she stood there with her back to us talking with them. I cut into my steak to find that it was over cooked. It was well done. I couldn't tell the waitress about the steak without either raising my voice to yell at her across the dining room to get her attention, or walking over there to the other table to get her attention. No one else was in sight. That waitress stood there at that other table chit chatting for so long, I just gave up, ate the over-priced and over-cooked steak, then sat there and waited until she decided to grace us with her presence again. My buddy ran out of water to drink half way through his meal and never got a refill. The waitress didn't come back until we were done. My buddy used some points to knock about $23ish off the bill, we don't know for sure how much it all cost. When she came back, she gave up the check book and verbally told us it would cost $67 and some change. We opened the check book to find it was empty. NO RECEIPT, no way to verify what we were paying for! We couldn't even tell her about the receipt because she was already back at the other table chatting with them! At this point, we were so pissed off about how we were being neglected that we just put $70 on the table and walked out. We got there around 6:45 pm on Tuesday, Aug 12 2025. IF we go back to Morning Star, we will be dang sure to avoid getting that waitress again if we see her. I usually have great things to say about the restaurant, but that waitress was so bad that I felt I had to come write this review. If the place was really busy, I wouldn't be typing this. But the fact that we were the only people in there other than her friends at the other table, really made me mad.

Meat quality on the steak was poor. It was hard to chew and I wouldn't get it again. The spinach was salty as can be too. Other meals at our table they weren't satisfied either.

The food was not good. Service was mediocre. My wife and I spent over 100 dollars for a microwaved quality dinner. Our table cloth was also dirty when we were sat. I had high expectations for the cost, they did not meet it. We ordered the lobster, saffron risotto, calamari, and asparagus.

Very base level experienced “chef” in house. Food quality was no different than an Applebees on the rough side of town. Advertised Wagyu Burger was over cooked and tasted like a frozen 73/27 patty, salmon fillet over cooked as well. Good service from our server Nichole saved this from being a 1 star. I will learn from this experience and lower my expectations the next time I’m in the area.

It is ridiculously priced for the cuts of meat they sell. And then they have ONE side with it. So for an 8oz steak & one serving of one side it was about $50. Menu selection is very small and cuts are limited to 2 or 3 types. Now... Steak flavor was no better than some place ud pay 20 for it and thats on every aspect actually: flavor, the meat fat ratio, the toughness of the meat, and the cook cooked a rare & a medium exactly the same.

Tried to get a table at 6:00 and they told us we could not be seated until 7 so went back at 7 and was told a couple of more minutes then at 7:10 and was told a couple of more minutes. There are empty tables yet they won't let us have one. Seems kinda rude if you Ask me.

This place is horrible. I got steak and shrimp. Both were overcooked the shrimp and vegetables were burnt. My beer was hot and waited 45 mins for a steak. Will not return.

Horrible service and over a hour to be told out of food picked a hour before. Then we we finally got food it was not cooked right and so tough it wasn’t edible. Do not recommend

We reserved a table of 14 for an early Christmas party at 4 PM. We finally left at 6:30 PM (2 and 1/2 hours later) with four meals still not served. The gluten free guests were given fried onions on their food. The medium rare steak was raw. The medium rare steaks were well done to charcoal. The manager (a woman) finally showed up hours later and said she would take them back and I replied “well at least I can eat the potato.” To which she replied, “No, you cannot have the potato. I will have to charge you.” At that point, I was done. We paid our bill, over-tipped the server because it was Christmas and I felt bad for her, and decided to never return. If the manger had been savvy enough to let me eat one potato after waiting 2.5 hrs for a meal, I would probably not have written this review. Poor management and a disaster kitchen ruined this event for our family.

Chicken fried steak was dark no taste , meat could have been cooked longer..... So it sounds to me like the grease was bad ..rolls hard to eat Drove from Abilene to eat and gamble....food made me sick had to go sit in the car instead of enjoying my weekend with my wife . Waitress didn't give us straws never came to check on us the manager. Had to bring our food out

I have always enjoyed dining at Morning Star until today. We had a reservation for 9:30pm and had to wait for a table for an hour after this time because they were busy and short staffed. We were sat at 10:30pm, which is their closing time, then we were rudely told by their "manager" Misty that we had to get our orders to-go because we came in at closing. She was extremely rude and did not consider the fact we had been waiting for so long for a table. As long as Misty is in charge, we will not be back.
