I had a crazy travel day trying to get home to NYC because of the blizzard last month and I was so annoyed that I had to fly halfway across the country to Dallas to connect to my third flight to NYC. I was tired and starving and I stumbled across Pappasito’s Cantina. The atmosphere was great and fun and my waiter was super nice! I ordered the chicken fajitas and they were by far the best chicken fajitas I have ever had! My meal started with a huge basket of warm tortilla chips and a delicious warm salsa! I can always judge how good a Mexican restaurant is by their rice and beans. Theirs was some of the best I’ve ever had! This was the best food I’ve ever had at an airport! It actually made my day and (almost) all the connections worth it. :) I don’t think I would hesitate booking a connecting flight through Dallas again just so I could eat at this place!
I travel a lot for work and have been all over the country in different airports and having to deal with “airport food” LOL and not to many great options. But Pappasitos delivered. I wanted a hearty breakfast and Huevos Rancheros was SPOT ON. I love Mexican food and all the flavors were amazing. This will definitely be my go to when I’m at DFW. Portion was generous and service was great.
Normally, airport outposts are subpar, but this one delivered. Food came out quickly, hot, and tasty. Not a lot of healthy options on the menu, but by keeping it limited, I guess the kitchen runs more efficiently. Server was helpful and they had stayed open late when a lot of other places were already closing.
Connected through Dallas and decided to give this spot a chance for breakfast. More than I could actually finish tho. Super Good Tex Mex Breakfast!!! Pricey but it’s worth it
Would 100% eat here again. With my history with getting stuck at DFW that will likely happen. The Baja fish tacos were excellent! Big succulent well seasoned pieces of fish with tons of cilantro and slaw. The salsa offered was excellent. Smokey chipotle flavor. I had a skinny marg. The only skinny thing about them is that it’s agave and not liquid sugar. Delicious. The bartender Rosa was super nice and so sweet about my time blindness (need to pay right away so I could slam my food and drink and run). The only bummer were the sides, beans and rice just didn’t have much flavor at all. It was a Mon the pricey side but not really when you consider it’s in an airport.
I got one of the tastiest burritos I have ever had in about 6 minutes today. Blink and you'll miss it take out counter. You can tell it's good because the veteran pilots are lining up at 6am for some breakfast.
I took a flight back out of DFW last week and stumbled across Pappasito's. I am so accustomed to see one and two star reviews at airport eateries. Are you here San Jose, CA? Anyhow, I was greeted by the kindest server, Rush. He was passionate about his restaurant and assured me everything was prepared fresh in their kitchen. WOW, the food was some of the very best Mexican I have ever had. And Rush was attentive and made certain everything was perfect. Amazing experience and look forward to returning there when I travel through DFW !
In my decades of traveling, this has to be one of the best airport meals I’ve had. Our server Michael was an absolute professional who warmly greeted us and explained the menu, making great recommendations. I ordered the huevos rancheros which were amazing and my wife had the breakfast taco platter which she loved. All the flavors of my dish were so good! I had a side of fresh guacamole that was perfect!! Again one of the best airport meals in a long time! Highly recommended!!
Want amazingly fast food that tastes delicious? Need a good server to anticipate your every need before you can even think of it? Von is your guy. He had extra salsa before I could ask, backup waters, food came out incredibly quick, and he made sure I had plenty of napkins. This guy's a hustler and he makes sure his food comes out hot and fast I highly recommend asking for his section!

Quick friendly service and very tasty fish tacos. We were put on a waiting list for a table and got a text within five minutes. We ordered fish tacos, gluten free (the server was super helpful letting us know what was contaminated), and they were great! Huge chunks of fish and the sides were tasty too. In and out in half an hour and we managed to catch our flight on time.

I have been here 2 times now on layovers and it’s some of the best Mexican food I have ever had! I now purposely choose DFW to stop over for this restaurant. The service is fast, the food is flavorful, crisp and pippin hot! I once had a 40 minute layover and had my food and drink in 15 minutes! Thank you for the amazing service and I’ll be back my next trip to DFW
Was a great place to stop and grab food in DFW! Service was excellent, the bar tenders Ceaser and Avon were amazing, welcoming and fast, but so were the other service staff.
Came here as I had a layover at the airport and wanted to grab some lunch before my next flight. Cesar, the server was top notch 👌 He was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Food prices are pricey but thats too be expected in an airport. Loved that they still brought menus and serve you vs the typical push for QR ordering and poor service. They seem to be popular for their drinks although I didnt indulge this time. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was great. They must season the tortilla cause it stood out from your typical greasy quesadillas. If youre in terminal A definitely stop, it's better than most the other options.
They say everything's bigger in Texas and they're Right! We had the thickest chicken quesadillas here during our wait for a flight ✈️. The homemade chips and salsa were also a great addition. Never had Salsa that taste so fresh and authentic. The service was great. And atmosphere was very welcoming. We would eat here anytime we're in the Dallas Airport.
May have been the best meal I’ve had in an airport. The salsa was so much better than expected. The guac was great. The Plato Del Mar was expensive but worth it—the bacon wrapped shrimp dipped in garlic butter were amazing. Had a “mezcalita” that was good and some peach sangria that was very refreshing.
Stopped in during a layover, wanted something other the fast food. You won't go wrong here. Staff was Great. Our server Russ is outstanding. The food was delicious. Got the shrimp steak comb, Delicious, two of us shared, hit the spot. I highly recommend you stop here, have a nice enjoyable meal during your travels. Merry Christmas
I didn't expect this place to be this good since it was at the airport. The fish tacos had grilled fish, and everything was fresh. Also had the loaded nachos, which were very good. The staff person behind the bar helped us with the menu and ordering. I'm assuming the manager? He was very nice and it really stood out in having a great experience there. If you are ever at this location, go check it out. You will not be disappointed.

The breakfast food was pretty good! The service was very quick! I had the Huevos Rancheros and my husband has the Pappaaitos breakfast. The portions were really big and we couldn't finish our food!
Seated quickly, the complimentary chips and salsa was very good. The salsa is the thin restaurant style, but a unique smokey/spicy flavor. Got the cheapest thing on the menu, chicken burrito. Came with rice and beans. The burrito was smothered in pretty tasty sauce, chicken was tender. The rice and beans were bland though. The guacamole I got on the side was very good.
It's decent quick airport food, nothing I would go out of the way for--or back to if a standalone restaurant, but fine for downing a couple margaritas while your flight departure keeps receding later and later.
Growing up in Houston, I ate at Pappasitos a lot but only got one thing—beef fajitas. Connecting through DFW I had to taste that perfect fajita meat. I had just returned from visiting Norway so expected more reasonable prices than I encountered 😬 the food is crazy expensive. So instead of getting fajitas I got nachos with fajita meat. Please don’t get nachos with ground beef. Upgrade for the amazing fajita meat. Just eat that first by itself then eat the nachos. One bad thing about nachos—they tasted a bit cold. Food on general came out quickly while i was here

By far the worst food I’ve had for a long time. Fish tacos are atrocious, margaritas are a joke and you have to ask for chips and salsa. Paid almost $80 for tacos, burrito, and a margarita.
