A restaurant that brought back fond memories. I found Piedmontese cuisine typical of the Lombardy border area. I felt right at home and was able to sample dishes my mother used to prepare. The risotto alla Milanese with ossobuco and fried frogs was excellent. The service was professional and fast. The restaurant is easy to find, located near the Castelletto Ticino highway exit.

Great experience, I was returning from vacation with friends but we didn't feel like going home, a friend of ours recommended and took us to this place, a restaurant with a hotel next door (a very nice hotel, by the way), the restaurant looked very good, the location was a 10 as far as I'm concerned, normal food but very well appreciated, very low prices, with the menu you really spend a ridiculous amount

The business was excellent. 20 minutes after opening hours, the tables were filled and there was a waiting line. Customers looked like half locals and half tourists. The food was perfectly traditional Italian, something like what your granny would cook for you, with good price and good service. Our family loved the lasagna and the pasta. The homemade desserts (apple pie and tiramisu) were absolutely mouthwatering. The restaurant is along the main road with parking places, quite ideal for visitors just passing through the area.

The food here is always delicious! Excellent value for money. A starter and a main course for two people. Also included: a 0.5-liter rosé, a bottle of sparkling water, two coffees, and a generous sambuca for €63!

Un ristorante storico in cui la cucina semplice e casereccia si esprime al meglio attraverso piatti autentici e ricchi di sapore. La qualità-prezzo è eccellente, probabilmente una delle migliori nella zona del lago, rendendo questo locale una scelta davvero conveniente. Il personale è gentile e disponibile, e un plauso speciale va alla signora Luigina, vera colonna portante del ristorante, con una memoria impeccabile e un’attenzione al cliente che non passa inosservata. Un’esperienza piacevole e soddisfacente, che consiglio vivamente a chi cerca una cucina genuina senza spendere una fortuna.

The meal is average, nothing special, a bit expensive for the quality. For the same price you could perhaps go elsewhere. The staff is generally not courteous, especially a young blonde woman who served us and then the following week gave us a wrong answer to a question. The setting is pretty, but as it is throughout the province. After spending +100€ (2p) per meal and 90€ per bed, there is no point in asking a question about the CALANTE. It's pure Loro. It's not that I'm going to do miracles 😂.

Rude staff and terrible food. The waiter literally wandered over looking and acting like that food critic from ratatouille. And then proceeded to look down on us all for no apparent reason like he was all high and mighty or something. Then got to the food which was awful. Iv have better pasta out of a packet of Jamie Oliver's buy one get one free deals at Tesco. And then when it came to the bill, ratatouille man decided to crack a smile as I can only assume that he wanted a tip. The only tip I would of given would of been to treat your customers a bit better. Honestly Save yourself a trip and get a microwave meals or something. Your welcome 👍
