i was craving korean food recently that's not just Korean bbq and stumbled across odagada on my yelp search results! I'm so glad i was able to try some of the dishes from here. my favorite dishes from here has got to be the bulgogi kimbap or ttekbokki (which is what i frequently order from here)!! sadly this spot is slightly hidden within the plaza as it's behind the escalator but its super yummy and worth checking out! the staff here are all super friendly and nice and the ambiance of this location is causal yet intimate and would recommend yall either eating in the restaurant or take out! (id like to add that the takeout packing is super secure and keeps the food still really fresh) pro tip: - indoor and outdoor dining available - large parking lot available - friends and family friendly!

The place was like stepping into a K-pop dream, with the tunes blasting and the vibe buzzing. The décor had a quirky charm that made it feel like the perfect hangout spot for you and your friends. Sure, it was a bit on the noisy side, but that only added to the fun! The food? Oh, the food. We dug into a glorious kimchi fried rice and a pork kimchi stew that was absolutely mind-blowing—flavors so bold, they practically danced on our taste buds. The portions were generous, leaving us with happy bellies. We also couldn't resist the popcorn chicken, which came with a side of honey mustard so perfect it should be a national treasure. The service? Fast, friendly, and as attentive as a well-trained puppy. All in all, a delightful experience that made us want to come back for more!

This place is by far the best place to get local Korean comfort food in the East Bay. They have everything from your KimBap (what many confuse as sushi, which are small seaweed rolls that have rice, vegetables, and favorite meat of choice), to the best pork cutlet katsu, and delectable fried chicken. I'm somewhat selfishly happy that I can freely go in and not worry about 30-45min wait times, since this place honestly has the best fried chicken in the East Bay and SF area. The marinated (either sweet or spicy) drumlets or wings are consistently what I always get. They also offer the flavor in a nice garlic-soy sauce. Buffalo Wild Wings may have an assortment of different flavors, but they also always consistently overcook their chicken which leaves it dry and tough. Not here... if any of know how to properly cook fried chicken- the double fried technique is key to allow the meat to rest... and also allowing the skin to be nice and crispy. After eating the chicken here, the skin is light and crispy flavored with a very nice sweet tangy sauce known only to the secret society of Korean grandmoms- similar to the Jejudo seafood divers (look it up). Seriously though, the chicken here really is that good. Wash everything down with a nice pitcher of beer or flavored soju. Bring your friends and you'll have an awesome time with food and drinks. I hesitate writing this because I don't want my favorite eating/drinking place to get inundated with people... The friendly and attentive service here will also make this place one of your top places to stop and eat while in the Dublin, San Ramon, Livermore and Pleasanton area.

Really great place! The food is really good. I'm Korean, and I love this place! Every time I eat here it reminds me of being in korea! The fry on the chicken is just right, good balance of crispy and soft meat! Great place to come with friends, they always have sports on the TV's and a great place to come have a beer and relax too! Korean chicken and beer place! They also have great Korean street food ! Korean pancake, spicy rice cakes, kimbap(Korean sushi) the staff here are always happy and friendly. The service is quick and always comes with a smile! I highly recommend this place!

I recently dined at ODAGADA restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. The authentic flavors in every dish transported me to Korea. The beef bulgogi and kimchi were standout dishes, bursting with deliciousness. The service was prompt and friendly. If you're a fan of Korean cuisine, ODAGADA is a must-visit!

Omg this place is crazy good! Just sit there and order food and drink soju. You’ll have great time and an amazing food experience! Reminds me of Korea. Just come and splurge. Order some chicken and a Korean seafood pancake and enjoy your company.

I don't live in the area any longer, but every time I come visit for work, I make sure to eat here at least once. The chicken is the best I've had anywhere. We also had the kimchi pancakes this time, and they are delicious. Heather gave us wonderful service and we felt welcome and taken care of from the moment we entered to when we rolled ourselves out the door, stuffed to the gills!

Saw this next door across egg happiness. Noticed they had tufo soup! The best Korean tufo in opinion is Seoul soon dubo tufo house in stockton. But there soft tufo combination w/ medium spice got me thinking twice. There just missing there side pickle cucumber that comes with it. We where the first to get here and soup took to long. The interiors and atmosphere is so Korean pop.

The food was extremely good and service was really nice. Honestly their fried chicken was one of best I’ve gotten in the Bay, and the prices were good too for the amount of stuff my friends and I got. We did cheese pork katsu, bulgogi rice, and fried chicken split three ways and paid $26 each. So on top of amazing food, it’s definitely good when you want to eat out with friends and have good food with variety at reasonable (arguably low) costs.

I thought their chicken batter is really good. Fried pretty well, white meat was a little dry, but most places can't do white meat too well. The price was not bad either. Service was okay, plenty of parking in the lot. Compared to places I've tried in Southern California, I would say this place is better than average.

When i walked in Heather greeted us with a great smile. Her vibe put me and my girlfriend in a great mood. My girlfriend got the chicken bulgogi and i got the beef. It was sooooooo good. The cabage salad had a delicous dressing and the macaronia salad rice and beef was great. It was very clean and the news and music videos on the tvs were nice. Music was chill. We will be coming back again and again

This place serves amazing kimchi rice and fried chicken. I have tried multiple times in the past year and has been consistently delicious. Especially, The fried chicken is just amazing! First off, the chicken was delicious. The meat was cooked just right, juicy, and flavorful. The radish and coleslaw were perfect accompaniments. If you’re in a hurry though, I’d call ahead, especially for take out, as it takes about 20 minutes to get your order filled. Even though we were parched from the hot weather outside, the wait was pleasant in the clean, cool interior where they played more obscure Koren music than many other Korean restaurants and had football on the TV screens. The sweet servers even brought us water though three other groups were dining in, including one with about ten people. I feel spoiled having such a great chicken and beer place all the way out in the burbs. For those interested, they have three Korean bottled beers, four beers on tap, and six varieties of soju.

By far the best Korean BBQ place I've found in the area. After living in Daejeon for a few years this fried chicken is as authentic as it can get. The trick is the double fry technique. The pork and chicken katsu is fantastic. I highly recommend you try the garlic soy and spicy glaze fried chicken. Come for the beer, stay for the fried chicken. Your mouth will thank you for it.

Fried chicken is good. Toppokki is watery and bland. If you're white, you gotta yell for the servers. The service is korean style.

Casual place for the kids. Good portion size and decent price. It's busy even for a late lunch. The service is a tad slow just bc there aren't enough servers - very friendly though. Unlike other Korean restaurants, this place serves a small selection of side dishes (bonchon). It's fine with me since the price is decent. I would recommend this place.

J
Jenn Jiang

Decent food and large portions. Service could be very slow. We like the cold soba noodles salad and kimchi pancakes but I didn’t find much seafood in pancakes. I think the beef short ribs soup would be tasty if they had not put too much msg in it. Also it is charged as a dinner plate but the portion doesn’t support the price compared to the other lunch items. The fried chicken is surprisingly good or maybe or there’s just no bad fried drumsticks or wings.

C

Pretty good fried chicken place. Crispy, well cooked fried chicken is one of the nicest menu here. Update: I experienced and also heard from my friend that there is a little inconvenience with their tipping practice when your party is a few. Mine was, there was mandated tip included 18%, but no one told me. When I added my tip, it turned out I made tipping on top of the hidden tip. I like their food, but I hope they help me avoid making mistakes on tipping.

Solid korean fried chicken! This compares to Vxxx, Soxxx and HMxxx and Ive only had them to for take out so I cant really comment on service, but they did mistakenly took my order one night and we had to wait another 20 min. We always get level 3 classic boneless. Its not spicy at all, but the sauce is yummy and its fried to perfection. $19 for half portion. This place will be our regular for fried chicken.

Deep fried chicken is great. You can choose from different sauces. Not very spicy. Beef tofu soup cooked with minced beef, tofu, egg and mushroom.

Love the fried chicken, which is the house specialty. Especially the whole chicken with green onion salad, and the garlic soy chicken. My son loves the chicken nuggets. Relatively quick serve, the food has a fast food feel. They also have beer, and regular Korean food, although I have not had it. Update: last time it took us 2.5 hours to get dinner here...crazy. We were forgotten by the wait staff again and again and other tables that were sat after us were actually served their meal before we even got water. Plus my chicken when I got it was almost all legs and chicken backs - looking like it may have come out of the bottom of the fry basket. Not a great experience.

R
Rob C

the chicken tastes ok with few flavor options but could improve. the few side dishes provided is not good. the spicy rice cake dish seems to use the ramon noodle packaged spices and kinda ruins the flavor for me at least.

Have been meaning to try this place for some time now finally got the chance to try it. Went on a weekday so it was empty so we got seated right away. There was only one lady who was serving and taking orders, etc.. Popcorn chicken - this was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender inside and crispy outside. Really enjoyed it. Pork Bulgogi - it was spicy and delicious the portion size was also very decent, loved it Chicken Katsu - total disappointment. The chicken was not cooked nicely the sauce which they gave on the side for Katsu chicken was disgusting. Nowhere near how a katsu chicken is done. So this dish was a total waste of money for us. LA short ribs - another disappointing dish. The meat was so chewy and it had more bones in it than meat. It was just very bland and did not enjoy it all. Chamisul Fresh -Soju, just your usual nothing special I loved the dishes which they used to serve the food, which made the food look appetizing. There was no need to add cold pasta as a side dish along with the traditional main courses. Overall, it was OK nothing special neither did I find it very authentic. It was more westernized to cater to the taste buds of the people here. They should just stick to the authentic taste, which they didn’t unfortunately.

Kimchi Pancake is great. I would order that again. Kimbab is good as well. However, both of our Soft Tofu Soup, one combination, the other vegetarian, were both really salty. The spice level was good. I had mild while the vegetarian one had no spice. It could be just the time we were there and the saltiness level might be better some other times, but this is my first time there. Also, this is a Korean place with the least amount of side dishes that they give out. It's just 3, and the amount is small for each. I've included pictures.

Maybe it’s just in general eating out kind of sucks now, but getting the food it seems okay, but after getting the bill and feeling pressured to tip, 18% tip makes it over $60 for two people… just doesn’t feel right. After seeing the price the food gets a harsher rating and doesn’t feel as good afterwards. I don’t feel like I got what I paid for. I felt this at Odagada, but lately I feel it everywhere.

F
FelineMom

Had two different types of tofu stews, both were way too salty. I brought mine home, added water, more veggies and tofu, was still salty that I ended up dumping the broth. The kimchi pancake was too greasy that I could feel the oil on each bite, and it was too dough-y. The side dishes were a joke, it was the most minimalist I have ever seen - a small rectangular plate divided into 3 tiny slots and filled with 3 types of side dishes - I have never been to a Korean restaurant with less than 5 individual dishes. Will not go again.

J
Joon Im

The food was nice. Just as if I'm having Korean Fried Chicken in Korea. Nothing that special other than that. The waiter was very rude and seemed he did not have any point in life itself. I was uncomfortable eating in front of that fellow.

I
Igor Djuric

Just your average Korean restaurant, a little bit on the pricy end. We were seated right away and ordered appetizers and the main dishes. The food took a long time to come out, first dish maybe 20 min later. The rest came out another 10-15 min later except for the last fish and an appetizer. When we asked what was taking so long , the server said they had a bunch of online orders all at the same time and apologized. All together the last item and appetizer took like 45-50 min to come out which is too long of a wait for the restaurant when there were only 4 sets of customers in. It's understandable you get busy but shouldn't be ignoring your restaurant customers so you can finish all your online orders. Won't be back here again.

OMG, the food taste was terrible. I've never had such a strange tasteless korean food before. That tofu soup was terrible tasted. Also the side dishes was really small. When was that kind of side dishes served in Korean food?

This place has gone completely downhill. What used to be delicious, crave-worthy Korean fried chicken is now an absolute mess. I don’t know what happened—Start using bottom-of-the-barrel ingredients? Today when I picked up sweet and spicy sauce chicken today, the chicken reeked of old, burnt oil and—no joke—it had a nasty squid-like fishy smell. From chicken. I almost gagged. It was that bad. It’s not just that the flavor’s gone—this stuff is borderline inedible now. I wouldn’t feed this to my worst enemy. Save your money. There are way better options out there. This place is done. Never again.

We went to this place few times and were always greeted well by a young gentleman. Today we went in a group of 7 people. Yes we were a bit late close to the closing time and the lady told us that whatever we are ordering will be the last one and we said yes sure. The old lady messed up orders and when we complained, had no words of apology. I have been to many Korean places throughout my life but have never seen such rude service. If the lady is the owner, I’d say, she needs some good training and if she was so tired, she should have told us that she can’t take us in this big party. Anyways, for me it was last dinner at this place and will never go there again.

The food is good. The portions are inconsistent. I ordered exactly the same items as last week. This week no rice came with the tofu soups. Much smaller portions for the fried rice. Small portions for the jhap chae. I understand that costs have gone up, but disappointed that over the space of a week they have shrunk their portions significantly.
