We live in the area, tried the Highland House for the first time. My husband and I split the Highland burger and chicken Cobb salad. Everything was delicious. Nice relaxing atmosphere, waitress was super nice and helpful. Definitely plan to try brunch with my parents this fall. Recommend sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful weather.

We had a birthday dinner for my mom, our family and friends with about 28 people attending. The dinner and festivities were orchestrated without flaw from the room set up, to giving us the ability to welcome the guests as they arrived, planning for the stages of ordering drinks and food while leaving time for our welcome speech to the guests and guest of honor. The servers Michelle and Lucky offered concierge level service. While Michelle was tending to the ordering of all the food and making sure everyone was served and happy, she also managed to serve individual requests such as gluten-free, decaf tea and coffee, last-minute gift table, moving chairs around, etc., immediately, and with a smile. The timing for dinner and the lighting of candles and bringing the cake and singing happy birthday was flawless. The food was outstanding, served hot and planned so that each table got served and no one was waiting. I've never experienced a group meal orchestrated so perfectly. The general manager took the time and interest to make sure all was going well, and that everybody was happy. I can't say enough good things to express how instrumental they all were to provide a very successful event.

My husband and I came for just some small bites and one drink during happy hour, but with the service and quality, it turned into some entrees and a couple of drinks. Our server, Kelly, gave us excellent recommendations and was very attentive. The view of the oak trees and golf course were the perfect complement to the new renovations. It felt: upscale, Florida-retired-laid-back, fine dining. I will absolutely come back to try more of the menu.

We have lunch there yesterday, and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. It's a beautiful setting with golf course views, and it was a little chilly so we sat inside, but there's a beautiful patio that overlooks the golf course for outside dining as well. They also have numbers of rooms that are ideal for events. The menu is really fun, and the food is excellent. One of our parties had a salad with crispy skin grilled salmon, another had a salad with fried chicken, another had appetizers... Blue cheese stuffed bacon wrapped dates in honey. Rich and fabulous. Also had the deviled eggs appetizer. Very tasty. Prices are reasonable, and it is definitely a spot we will go back to.

This definitely going to be our new local favorite spot! Everything has been renovated, inside and soon to be out and even the bathrooms! Kelly the bartender and the GM Robert were so nice and welcoming! Scratch kitchen so our food was on point and probably unlocked a new craving for the French Dip sandwich. My drink was delicious and made me feel like I’m on vacation. The new menu is such a good mix - I can’t wait to try it all!

The cutest new spot in Dunedin! Whether you golf or not, this newly overhauled bar and restaurant is definitely worth the visit. The food was beyond delicious, as to be expected from the company that also runs The Living Room and Black Pearl. They have outdoor seating with the most beautiful view so you can watch the golfers, but the cute new bar area is my personal favorite. The themed cocktails are a must! The service was great, everyone was very happy and friendly. They even let me poke my head in the event space they have for weddings and things. Highly recommend.

What a hidden gem! My breakfast was prepared perfectly. The presentation superb. The fact that the food is fantastic and the view spectacular puts Highland House at the top of my favorite list.

Beautiful golf course view with a great $10 burger special on Wed nights. The brussel sprouts were also delicious. We will be back!

My family and I went to the Highland house when visiting Florida last weekend and it did not disappoint. The menu was great and very reasonable. Their happy hour and beer prices you definitely cannot beat, especially coming from New Yorkers. We went with a large group, including a toddler and a new born, and they were able to accommodate all of our needs. Management brought over a pork appetizer on the house along with champagne to celebrate our recent engagement, which made us feel very special! Our waitress Selene was phenomenal! Not only was she super detailed and helpful with suggestions on what to order, she was patient and very sweet especially with our rowdy table. The food was delicious and my Dad, a big golfer, loved the names of the cocktails so we had to give most of them a taste! Also do not leave without giving the s’mores bread pudding a try, it is well worth it! The entire night was a great experience, we will definitely be back and we would absolutely recommend to anyone in the Dunedin area!

I finally tried out this establishment for the first time & I'll be back. Kelly was amazing, made sure my requests were met with the chef & delivered. My burger was perfectly cooked & made to order. The view of the players on the golf course was also a nice change of scenery.

Loved the $10 pitcher and $10 wings special. Wings were ok, deviled eggs were delicious as well as the stuffed dates. The bartender made awesome drinks. Trivia was super fun.

Wonderful meals and drinks tonight. The Arancini "Tater Tots", Whipped Ricotta, Double Cut Pork Chop, Roasted Chicken, and Steak Fritas were perfect. We're excited to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Highland House exceeded all expectations. The food was exceptionally fresh and full of flavor, and the service we received from our server, Todd was attentive and welcoming throughout our visit. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between lively and comfortable, making it an ideal place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their outstanding menu.

Went for Mother’s Day Brunch and did not disappoint! She said it was the best Mother's Day ever! The entire buffet was filled with a stream of well made bunch items. Noticeable most was the quality of ingredients and hospitality of the staff! Highly recommend 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thank you for a great experience!

We have been so excited to visit, and we finally had the chance! The entire staff was so sweet, especially our server, Todd! He was incredibly attentive and timely with checking in on us, while also giving us some great suggestions on the menu! He even took the time to add a candle to our dessert for a birthday :) The food was delicious, and we are so excited to come back and try more! We got the meatball appetizer, the pork chop, and the steak frites. All dishes were incredible and cooked to perfection. The notes of flavors added was incredible. Thank you Highland House for the amazing service and the amazing food!

The Dunedin Country Club is a hidden gem. We had lunch on a weekday. Nicely appointed dining room with an elevated view of the beautiful golf course. Attentive waitstaff worth prompt and friendly service throughout our meal. Manager checked in to ensure a good experience. I had a French dip sandwich with homemade potato chips, my guest had a Grouper sandwich that would measure up against any other in the Tampa Bay area! We really enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

This is my absolute FAVORITE place to eat in Dunedin. The food is outstanding . My favorites are : cheeseburger (with some kind of special sauce to die for!) and the steak with chimichuri- perfectly cooked everytime. Oh and I love their chopped salad - it’s massive and filled with yummies!

Children's Christmas Party with dinner that was arranged with event planner, Aria. Arrangements included Banquet room layout for use as both dining and activities areas; it functioned perfectly. The buffet menu was excellent, for both adults and children. Service was efficient, friendly, and responsive to needs. Both the event committee and families in attendance felt valued and supported. Delightful evening.

An Unforgettable Round at Dunedin Golf Course From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for something special. Dunedin Golf Course is a true gem, delivering a perfect blend of challenging play, pristine beauty, and welcoming hospitality. The greens were fast and true, with just the right amount of bite to reward precise shots. The fairways were immaculate, roll was excellent, and the bunkers were carefully maintained—clean edges, consistent sand. Each hole presents a thoughtfully designed test, balancing risk and reward in a way that keeps you engaged from tee to green. The course sits in a scenic setting that makes every round feel like a retreat. Lush coastal winds, mature trees, and beautifully kept landscapes frame the holes, creating stunning vistas at every turn. It’s the sort of place that makes you want to pause and savor the moment, not just chase your score. From the pro shop to the beverage cart, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They offered insightful course knowledge, warm welcomes, and tips that genuinely helped my game. The pacing of play was perfect, and the practice facilities were top-notch, making warm-ups feel productive. Value: In my opinion, the experience here far exceeded the price. The layout is fair for all skill levels, yet can challenge even seasoned players. The overall value—considering conditioning, scenery, and service—felt exceptional. Dunedin Golf Course delivered a five-star experience from start to finish. Whether you’re looking for a competitive round, a scenic day with friends, or a memorable outing for family, this course has it all. I left planning my next visit and already recommending it to everyone I know.

The prime rib special on Saturday was great. Cooked perfectly, soup or salad, loaded baked potato and veggies. Shawn was great. The manager checked on us. A very good experience.

Looks like they got a new crew member. Was there on Monday and our bartender, Kyle was especially nice and accurate. He was quick to make sure we had our drinks out in a timely manner and quick wit too. He recommended the French dip with fries (goes great with the Ultra, he says) and I wasn't disappointed. Nice job on that! All in all I was impressed with his attitude, friendly personality and great service. Will definitely come back next Monday! Thanks!

This was not our first time here. Food and service was great, but tonight they had entertainment that was just too loud to enjoy dinner w friends. Lucky was terrific waiter.

We went for the prime rib dinner special on Saturday night. It was wonderful, huge baked potatoes.Prime rib said it was twelve oz. But it looked larger. Cook perfectly medium rare. And we went for the Sunday brunch. And it was a great bargain $34 with lots of stations- carved roast beef, ham, salads, dessert, waffle station and omelet station.

The web reservation system was excellent. The host was professional ensuring that our evening got off to a great start. The table on the patio was comfortable and provided a great view of the recently renovated golf course. Anna, our server, provided menus and answered all questions. Our drinks and meals arrived quickly by the runner who also did a great job. All in all, our first dinner at Highland House was outstanding. It is a well-run restaurant with obvious excellent management and a well-trained, enthusiastic staff. Keep it up!

We were seeking a different restaurant for dinner and my husband wanted to check out Highland House. It is the newest restaurant at the recent,y reopened Dunedin Golf Course. This is a very nice restaurant and bar at the Golf Course. While it has appetizers, salads, and sandwiches it has several entree specials. The Chicken entree was excellent. The chicken was very tender with sweet potato gnocchi and purée. Terrific. My husband was also thrilled with his Double Bone pork shop. Our waiter Todd was great too. Very impressed! We will be back.

The food is good, not great. The bacon on the stuffed dates was not cooked enough, but overall not bad. The onion soup was probably the biggest hit, not too salty. The sauce on the salmon was pasty and bland. The portions are generous and prices are fairly reasonable. The patio has a nice view of the golf course, entertainment was unobtrusive. Service was friendly but slow. Also, the server did not inform us that 20% gratuity had already been added to the check (they are not required but it would certainly be nice). Unfortunately I am not use to checking for this, (my fault). Needless to say the server received a generous tip, $56 on a $131 check.

We love the relaxed and casual atmosphere of the Highlander House. The food is good, homemade chips are the best. Although the staff works hard, the service could be a little more attentive. The wine selection could be improved significantly. They don’t have a varied selection and mostly domestic. The “champagne” is not anything I’d order again because it’s a very cheap brand, and not chilled properly. The staff also needs to be trained on proper pronunciation and selection of wines. We encountered confusion on receiving the right thing. They did a fairly nice job with the renovations, but kept the carpet in the dining areas. I looks dated even though it was just renovated. It just makes me feel as if I’m dining in a conference room. Some decor could be added to both the interior and the patio area. For all the money and effort that has been invested, I think they still have some work to do. Leaving in a positive note, the patio offers a nice view of the course and the chef is doing a great job. The French onion soup is a must.

We went to the Highland House on a weekday night with the kitchen clearly short-staffed. The wait for our meal was 1 hour for some of us and 1 hour and 15 minutes for others. We waited for smash burgers with Kraft cheese, a kale Caesar salad with no kale drowned in dressing, a massive portion of fried chicken salad with chicken that was so heavily fried. The salmon dish and French dip were good. We were disappointed but anticipate that this was not a usual night. The dining room is open and full of light.

We've given the Highland House a final try after a few dinners and breakfasts. We wont be going there again in the foreseeable future. The old club-run restaurant was Much Better for club members and guests! The food choices and quality are sub-par. The service is OK, and it should be, because no one is there! The club atmosphere is good, especially outside, just because it is at the Golf Club. The City really made a mistake by farming out the restaurant to the Living Room folks.

6 of us went for dinner on a Friday evening. We sat outside to avoid the “too loud” live music. We were greeted by a pleasant waitress. Drinks were fine and fairly priced. Dinner order was taken. Soups were delivered. 1 was wrong. Tomato soup needed salt and French onion was bland. We asked for napkins. Soup spoons did come with the soup. Once the 1 soup was replaced, we asked for napkins again. Dinners came out and we were asked if we needed anything else. Yes we did. Napkins and silverware. Fish and Chips and Salmon were good. Burger was ok. BLT was a mayo sandwich on soggy bread. Pasta was tasteless and cheese in center of dish was cold which (maybe) made the pasta Lukewarm at best. Would we go back? All 6 said no! To top it off, a 20% service fee was charged, probably because table of 6. Server wasn’t worth 20%. Sorry.

Historic place which has promise, but the food was mediocre and beverages were expensive. When karaoke night started, it was difficult to have a conversation during the end of our dinner.

1/2 of the menu was missing from the buffet which was advertised . Only one worker at the buffet she was great, and friendly. Most of the food was room temp. Salmon was dry and roast beef was tough and no ham. No salt and pepper at table or steak knife which was definitely needed to cut the roast beef. No refill on water or tea. Over all a big let down. We were given a $5 discount per person but were charged a 20% tip. Over all I would not recommend. I feel like the discount was a joke. I will say the outside seating was very nice. I will attach a picture of the advertisement menu Not Available.

This place us either a hit or a miss. We've been here multiple times on different nights. Sometimes the food is great and Sometimes it's poor. Exactly the same with the service. We were here last night for burger night. Seated outside after nobody had greeted us for about 10 minutes. Finally once we were seated it honestly took 10 minutes for a menu and another 10 minutes before anyone had come over. That waiter who called himself by the name of Lucky didn't even notice us until I called him over. We mentioned we were waiting 20 minutes just for someone to come over. We placed an order with drinks and he started chatting at another table and never went inside. At that point we left. I'm done with this place now for good.
