It’s our first time to come here, we brought our Japanese friend here to explore the winery stuff. Everything is good and the vibe the surrounding! Will visit next time.
3 Horse Ranch is always a great experience. I own a wine tour company & take tours there quite frequently. The wines & food are great & the service is outstanding.
One of my favorite wineries in the Treasure Valley. I’ve been coming here for seven years now and recently hosted a large event in the barrel room (and another in May!). The food is amazing and the staff is always so helpful. I suggest visiting for food and ambiance, not just the incredible wine!
We're so glad we found this amazing winery that's only six miles from home. When we first started coming to the winery it was in the little house that now the Airbnb. We love it so much we bring almost everyone who visits with us here for wine tasting and a meal. The wines excellent, the food fabulous and the atmosphere is welcoming. You won't have a better experience at any winery, and I've been to a lot. Go try it out, you won't be disappointed.
One of the nicest places we’ve been to lately! Gorgeous views of Whitetail deer and wild turkeys! Tiffany was an excellent waitress and gave us great advice on food and wine. The lobster shrimp bisque was the best we’ve ever had. The steak was done to perfection! Why haven’t we been here sooner? We will definitely be back! Thank you Three horse winery for a memorable late Sunday brunch
The food…incredible. We had bison chili, french onion soup snd the flatbread. The service…perfection! Bruce knew his wine and took the time to explain wine selections and the food menu. He made our experience truly enjoyable. The view…stunning Cannot wait to go back!!
What an absolutely beautiful setting! My wife and I had an event there last night and we were very pleasantly surprised! The wine was very good - I bought a half case of reds - and the setting was perfect. Take the time to drive up to this winery - you will not be disappointed.
We enjoyed a quite and nice Sunday afternoon sitting outside, sipping various white wines and savoring cheese, cured meat, and bread. It was super relaxing. Our visitor was totally amazed by the whole experience of being able to taste good food and wine in the middle of nowhere, far away from people!
I have been a fan of this winery ever since it opened. The wines have always been really high quality, and the owner is so interesting to talk to about how he grows his grapes and makes the wine. The new facility is gorgeous, with inside and patio seating. They also have a talented chef making really good meals to go along with your wine. I had the clams in wine and butter sauce, and they were SO delicious! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly as well. The only drawback is the long drive to get to the winery, but it is worth the drive!
My parents are wine club members and we just had the most delightful lunch at their tasting room. It was super easy to make a reservation and we got a table next to the window with a nice view of the mountains and part of the grape vines. Our waitress was super sweet, one of our friends can’t have gluten and she made sure to let the kitchen staff know to change their gloves to handle his food. We had their red and white tasting flights, all of the wine was delicious! We had an array of amazing food from their lunch menu but their truffle burger and the elk charcuterie board were to absolutely die for. Cannot recommend enough if you live or are visiting the Boise area. 10/10 experience every time I’m in town to visit.
I've been going to three horse winery for about 10 years. It is my favorite winery in the Treasure Valley area. I've always been very fond of their Cabernet and Malbec. I think they got the best charcuterie board of any winery. Their overall menu and dishes have never disappointed. It has a great ambience whether you're saying indoors or in the patio. I love the isolation of it and the surrounding hillsides with vineyards. Definitely a nice relaxing get away from the everyday.
This is a great place to visit on a nice day, as their outdoor seating is quite pleasant. Excellent service -- not fast, but very friendly, and who is in a hurry while sipping wine? The food isn't exceptional, but it's pretty good (try the truffle fries!) and reasonably priced as winery meals go. We had fun trying a flight (you can choose between a white flight or a red flight), then sharing a bottle of our favorite.
A great out of the way vineyard and winery with friendly locals attitudes willing to listen and chat. We sampled the Reds flight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Sat at the bar on a rainy day. Perfect. Will be back for dinner. Be sure to reserve a table.
This was my first time at the new building. Oh my goodness, it is gorgeous! The food was incredible! Their truffle fries are delicious and so is the Ranch Bacon Burger. The wines are fabulous!
A nice place for dining out with the vineyards, live music !! Nice indoor & outdoor area ! The food was great, but the Beignet i think is too hard Will come back next time and will try the Poke 👍 So happy to see such a busy restaurant !!! There were more than 50 cars there .. that is awesome !!
What a great place to visit. We came from Bend OR to visit our friend in Emmett. As usual we look for local wineries to visit and try out. Well we found a gem of a winery at 3 Horse Ranch. The wine, food and atmosphere was great. Maddie “Mayhem” our server was awesome. Check this place out if you are in the area. You won’t be disappointed.
What a delightful experience! The food was fabulous, the staff is delightful, and the music was beyond enjoyable. Did I mention the wine, that was fabulous as well. Thanks so much for everything. We had a very enjoyable day.
Great experience. Fabulous wine. Friendly people. Brandon St-Martin was extremely knowledgeable and very gracious on the tastes. I definitely recommend this winery to all. Don't let the drive keep you from this awesome experience.
Wow!!! You won't be disappointed with this choice of wine, atmosphere and if you're lucky enough, food!! It was a pleasure meeting the owner's and the chef for an after hours dinner party. Call for reservations, they are busy!!!
A little drive but worth it. Excellent selections of wines. Loved the red flight. Can't wait to go back on my next visit to the area. Food selection was good and the cheese board was amazing.
We love this place. We joined the Wine club when it was such a small place we ate in a tent behind the house. We've enjoyed watching it grow up and the secret is out. They make outstanding wines and the food is amazingly wonderful. We bring everyone who visits us here.
We reserved the vineyard for a private party of 52 after hours. Everyone was great to work with. The Thai buffet and the wines were wonderful. Hats off to Chef Ben, Martha, and the staff for being so accommodating and making it a memorable celebration.
What a great surprise! Owners, General Manager all working to fill the gap with labor shortage. Outstanding Food and Wine. A MUST Do! Thank you 3 Horses Team, we had a great time.
We had a wonderful at the Eagles tribute band performance yesterday. One opportunity to improve is the reserve table seating. We book early so we could get a table close to grass and we ended up with a table on the patio, the farthest table from stage, that was disappointing. Other than that, the service was excellent and the box dinners were good. We plan to go again! Regards, Terry & Mindy Fisher
This wi ery continues to amaze! Great lunches choices in their restaurant, yummy wine and friendly staff. Great patio views of the vineyard.
Really great atmosphere! The wine and food are delicious! Everyone is so nice! My husband and I had an amazing time and we will definitely be back.
This is hands-down my favorite place on earth. It feels super private and tucked away, but it’s only about 20 minutes to get there. The view is gorgeous, the food’s always amazing, the wine’s even better, and the service feels like hanging out with old friends. Whether it’s a Friday night, a lazy afternoon, or brunch, I’m always looking for an excuse to go back.
We so enjoyed our visit yesterday, lovely lunch and delicious wine. We tried their homemade potato chips drizzled with a cucumber dressing and chopped bacon, really yummy. And their chicken wings were some of the best with the dry rub and ranch dressing. Our favorite wines this visit were the Sarah and the Vivacious. People were so gracious and friendly, we really felt welcome too. Really looking forward to our next visit. Chin-chin
First time trying the winery for dinner. We celebrated Valentine's Day here with their "prix fixe" menu. It was an excellent meal for the price, paired with suggested estate bottled wine. We'll definitely do this again. Highly recommended!
Visited for the first time yesterday. The wine is excellent and so are the views. Those working there were very nice. Enjoyed our wine flights and bought a few bottles to take home.
Dropped by last week on our way down from McCall to pick up some Club wines being held for us and have a quick lunch. The French Onion Soup and Ranch Hamburger were delicious. Service was very friendly and prompt. Other than now having a very dusty car, it was a great experience that I am sure we will repeat again.
Amazing food ,wine and ambience! Love going to relax and enjoy fine wine.
CANNOT say enough good things! I came here one week ago for the first time for my birthday and had the best experience and so did all of my friends! The food was amazing, the wine was amazing and so was the service! I brought my family in yesterday and the chef came out and gave my son fresh picked berries and let us know what he could make him for dinner. The food and service, ambiance was phenomenal again. We will recommend this to everyone!
We came in with friends last week and are so glad to have found this winery. They have a nice selection of estate grown wines. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Lilly lead our tasting and answered all our questions about the property and their wines. The restaurant portion felt unique for a winery and the menu was well thought out. We showed up on a day with live music on the patio. This winery checks all the boxes; cool location, smart staff, good wine, and enjoyable setting. We'll definitely be back
Food selection better than it was a year ago. And the price for a burger and fries has DROPPED. Yes it's now $18 for the burger and only $1 for the fries. A year ago it was $24 for the combo. Now all they have to do is to allow more than one refill on the tea. Ok I'm not into wine and they do have the best selection of food at any winery that I know of. The ambience is great and they have even added some very nice shade umbrellas on their patio. I can now recommend them and would even go there more often than I expected based on previous visits.
One of the most incredible “Estate Wineries” I’ve ever had the pleasure of frequenting. Not only the best wines in Idaho, but their full service kitchen rates amount the best in the Treasure Valley. We are there on a regular basis. Staff is amazing and the owners put on some amazing events.
We tried the wine flights, a delight. Dinner on the patio was so relaxing, food was good. It’s nice to dine without a lot of noise and traffic. I would recommend highly.
3 Horse is quite a nice facility! Depending on where you live, it can be quite the jaunt. Took me an hour from SE Boise on a Thursday afternoon. The place was hoppin'!! We had lunch reservations & were glad we made them; who knew it'd be so busy. It looked like there was only one waitress and she was trying hard & mid-way through our visit, it looked like she was training someone. There were two other folks working that were older & the man was keeping extra dishes off tables but that waitress could have used some help. There was at least three times we waited for service of some kind and I just ended up getting up and finding whatever we needed. We were a table of 4, had drinks, lunch & dessert. The food was good; my friends had burgers & I had tri-tip sandwich. I wish I ordered the burger. Prices were a bit high for what you got. If the entrees came with a side, I wouldn't even comment but fries or salad was $5 extra. Quite steep, imo. The Key Lime Pie was superb. My friends really enjoyed their wine, I enjoyed my spritzer. Our table spent minimum of $150+tip for our "lunch" & that included one appetizer & 2 desserts. Like the majority of Idaho wineries, all wine was dry, which is a bummer for those of us who don't care for dry wines. Overall, it was a nice afternoon. It would have been more pleasant if the service was better & the food was a bit less expensive. Not sure when & if we'll make the jaunt out that way again.
They make the best scampi I've ever tasted--Jumbo shrimp in a delicious butter garlic sauce! Live music in a beautiful setting!
We love your Wines and Foods to eat. The service was great !!! Thank you so much. An idea for the future …we and those around us were interrupted the whole afternoon by a group of 8 young women. They were having a great time , but at our expense . In the future , if you have 🎉 of 8 , please monitor them or set aside a room for celebrations, out of earshot of others .
Always love making the trek out to this place. It's so beautiful, and the food is amazing. Only a four star this time though because Service was not good. There were only three other parties there, but the bartender/server pretty much ignored us. Also, when I asked for ranch dressing for my fries, he said they didn't have any. I asked him then for some type of aïoli, and then he actually brought me ranch. Later, when my friend ordered a salad to go, she asked what dressings were available, and he must have forgotten that he told us he didn't have ranch, because he said ranch was one of the dressings. Lol. 🙄
The view was amazing! Food was great, service was good, but we waited for quite a while for our food, utensils, ranch, and refills. The waitress apologized for the wait for our food, but nothing was done to compensate, where she offered the table next to us a free dessert, we simply had to do. May go back, but will try on a weekend that may not be as busy.
It was really worth of the trip. My daughter invited me to join A long while she picked up her wine club purchases. On Saturday afternoon, the weather was great and the views were even better. We had lunch which was made even better with a bottle of viognier
Plan for a DD! No way to call out Really great space- Beautiful and staff was beyond amazing. However, not Uber friendly. NO Wi-Fi and no reception which made it almost impossible to get home after getting dropped off, even with a noon rez. Without staff help we would have been stuck. Seems irresponsible to have amazing wine when customers can't even call a friend, much less a taxi, since we couldn't even call out since there is NO reception at all. If you go, plan to take a DD. I didn't see a disclaimer anywhere on the website when booking a reservation so we were blindsighted when we got our there with no way to get home. Thankfully the staff helped, but that souldn't have been their problem.
I’ve always bragged to my friends how wonderful your food and the atmosphere is. We’ve been coming for your lunch’s & occasionally one of your special wine tasting dinners since 2021. I’m not sure whats changed but on Sunday we ordered two of your over priced hamburgers. All I can add & I’m being very truthful is I could have gone to any drive in and gotten better at half the price. The only thing positive was Hayley, who did an excellent job making the remainder of our two hour luncheon enjoyable. Sorry if I’m being too critical but your changing and it’s not for the better.
The setting is beautiful, however, they had limited menu offerings. They were out of almost everything our group wanted to eat. Maybe order more from your vendors on a long weekend or when you know a big party that was reserved 4 months in advance is coming? The service was horrible. They did comp us some apps because they were out of our first choices. They also comp'd a salad because one of our guests had to leave, so I'll give them that. My salad was good but it's hard to screw that up. Don't know how everyone else's food was. Maybe try it on a week day if you have the chance.
My husband and I were driving by today and saw the sign for free wine tasting and they were serving lunch also. We drove up there and it was beautiful. We didn’t know the time so we were there an hour before opening but a nice gal gave us menus so we could see what they were offering next time we came by. Then as we sat on the patio looking at the menus a man came by and I believe he said he was the owner and why were we there. We explained what happened and he was so rude and told us we couldn’t be on his property and we were shocked how we were treated. My husband apologized for being there once again and told him to have a nice day. The owner didn’t say anything and stormed off in his truck. We were thinking about having my sisters birthday celebration there as it was beautiful and then this RUDE AND UNKIND MAN WALKS OVER AND THAT BEAUTY WAS GONE! There was a kind way to deal with us and he chose to embarrass us and basically kicking us off his property. All I can say is enter at your own risk.
I have never been treated with such disrespect or rudeness for asking a simple question. The owner absolutely blew it. I have been a fan of this winery for years but will never return nor suggest anyone visit again. So unfortunate. The wine has gone down in quality over the years as well.
This afternoon, we decided to experience a winery we'd never been to before. We chose this establishment. We were surprised to see the parking areas nearly full. (That's usually a decent indicator of the quality of product and/or service.) We approached the door and noticed a sign on top of a wine barrel that stated "Please wait to be seated." We saw several empty chairs in the tasting room, entered and mentioned to the gentleman behind the bar that we were just there for a wine tasting. He directed us back out to the barrel with the sign on it. So, we waited patiently outside for a host person to direct us where we could sit. When I said again we were only there for a tasting, she said, "Oh, feel free to sit anywhere you like inside, at the bar or any open tables." (The guy at the bar could/should have said the same thing!) So, we chose and sat at a small table by a corner window. For nearly (could've been over) 20 minutes we sat there and no one, that would mean NOT ONE server, host, or even that man that directed us to go outside and wait to be seated, ever acknowledged our presence! No one ever asked what we'd like or offered us a tasting menu. It's like we were invisible! I've had bad service before. However, it's extremely rare to be completely ignored, as we were at this establishment. (I think I would have PREFERRED BAD service over being ignored.) We decided to try a different winery as it was completely uncertain whether we were EVER going to be served or acknowledged. So, before exiting, I addressed the man behind the bar with, "It would have been nice to at least been acknowledged or received a tasting menu." Again,... no response. NONE. Granted, and as stated earlier, they were pretty busy, perhaps they were short-staffed too. However, even IF that WERE the case, it is NO excuse to completely ignore a guest. We MIGHT try visiting again in the future but... I must admit, I'm not too anxious to have a replay of the experience we had today.
This place is beautiful but had poor service. No refills were provided and the staff did not come up to tables often. Furthermore, we ordered dessert and by the time we came back to the table there were flies all over the cake. When we asked for one of the desserts to be replaced we were told “this is the last piece. But there are no visible issues with the cake so it should be fine”. We were not offered any alternative or anything to make the matter better. Lastly, the drive does include about 20 minutes of a dirt road at the end.
