Best whiskey cocktail I have had in London. My personal fav since my first visit has been "ain't afraid of the dark". It's a smokey peat scotch based cocktail and will leave super smooth notes of peat in your mouth. Highly recommend and while you are at the bar you might want to try their fat chips...super unhealthy, super delicious!! Very polite and great staff and a good ambience too...

Great food, friendly staff. Great balance of flavours, everything was lovely. Good selection of drinks, food and nice setting. Salad dressing was at the bottom so didn't get any on the first few bites but once I found it complimented the other flavours well.

Cocktails are spot on. Try the lemon one with sea water, never fails to impress. Good quality beef for the Sunday Roast as well. I recommend the tables by the bar, it's a glasshouse but the heaters are on and you wont feel the cold at all. Very good service staff too.

Beautifully restored stable building with glam interior. Great for brunch, a coffee or a romantic meal. Friendly for kids but doesn't overly cater for them. Gin tastings once a month include a free drink.

Went for a brunch and had a great time with the lovely decor, food and friendly staff. Saw a staff member run after a lady who left her phone, top service.

Absolutely love this place! I've been going from the day they open their door. They have updated their menu a few times now. Every dish is delicious and staff are great! Will definitely keep going back.

The restaraunt has an excellent atmosphere with a spacious interior. The food is good, as one would expect with the prices, with deceptive portion sizes that look small, but can really be hard to finish. Our waitress Salma really went the extra mile for good service, and all of the other staff were polite and helpful across the board.

Such a nice and cozy place! Very big fan of the interior and music they are playing. Brunch was amaaazing, poached eggs and French toast were perfect and I could’ve not asked for a better coffee. Super friendly staff. Definitely one of the favorite restaurants in Ealing!

The food is so delicious, service is great... Jinny and Cameron are so professional, friendly and welcoming. So glad they dropped the 'small plates' concept... will be back regularly from now on

Lovely place to go for drinks or dinner. An excellent place to go for after work drinks.

Just my kind of restaurant, atmosphere welcoming friendly and attentive. You can order food in various portions sizes, which as a woman is great. So you can order loads in taster sizes. Food cooked to perfect, flavours amazing and well balanced. Brilliant and well needed culinary addition to Ealing. So excited to see what they do here. More than satisfied customer.

Visited here with my girlfriend in the evening. We had a great time, knowledgeable and engaging staff met us at the door and showed us to seats at the bar, before discussing and suggesting cocktails. (I changed my choice in the end as a result). Later, we sat at a table where (admittedly we didn't eat but) we saw some tasty looking meals coming out of the kitchen. Classy place, with a good vibe and not too expensive. 5 Stars well and truly earned.

First visit for a dinner and would recommend. The dinning area is airy with high ceilings, the tables are reasonably well spaced. The food and service was good, however the wine list could do with a few more reasonably priced bottles.

Fantastic spot, we celebrated our wedding with them and they truly went the extra mile ensuring we and our guests had a prefect day. The food was lovely & the staff were charming. We will definitely return. I highly recommend the place!

Food well cooked and presented, it is pricey. For £9 the lettuce said is disappointing, but the more complex dishes are done well. Extensive beer and wine menu

Lovely setting, nice food and great service. Not sure if it is me not being used to UK prices.. but in my view overpriced though..

I've been to Charlotte's a few times now. It's nice to find a place in Ealing which has outdoor seating. The food is good however the service can be slow especially when you are sitting outside it's hard to grab the attention of the staff when they are inside. It is one of the more expensive locations in Ealing.

The food was excellent I am looking forwards to the dessert which I have not chosen yet

Lovely food and a nice place to have a business lunch but could do with some changes to reflect the price.

Friendly staff, nice outdoor seating for the summer. Plenty of drink choices, only had starters which tasted good.

Braised beef feather blade is so tender, great choice from a traditional steak. Highly recommend this 🙂

Delicious, high quality food. Tapas-style eating where you buy multiple smaller dishes to make up a meal. This means you can pop in for a smaller snack or coffee and dessert, so it's nice and flexible. Free wifi and free still and sparkling water. Great cocktails! Staff very friendly and perfectly happy for you to chill out there working on your laptop etc. Not cheap but the quality is excellent and well worth the price.

The food was perfectly cooked, but there was not enough of it on some of the meals & the menu was a bit "clever" in the description of some dishes, my husband ordered the duck breast but got 2 slices of duck breast, not the whole thing. I will say when we complained that some people's food had arrived & not others they were on the ball immediately & said straight away that they would provide us with free desserts. The location of the restaurant was lovely & it has a very wecoming feel to the place but you can still see the history in the building, which was refreshing to see. Well worth a visit as the food really is good.

The restaurant's ambience is great. We had some issues with our orders being mistaken and dishes arriving late, but the pasta dishes and desserts were delicious, specially the ravioli, the rice pudding and the brownie. The stuff was extremely helpful and sorted the issues with the late dishes quickly.

A friend of ours recommended this place. I have to say food was sublime and the the interior/service warm and friendly. The only downside was the bar service before we were seated for our meal - if you’re sat at the bar and there’s no bartender it’s very difficult to get a drink ;-)

What an absolutely delightful place to come in to on a cold, snowy day. I went in on a Thursday afternoon for lunch and coffee. Very decent prices on the set menu for the ambience and vibe that you get inside the cafe. Portions might be an issue if you are looking for a big lunch but the food packs a punch with simple yet lingering flavours. The coffee was top notch and I have no qualms at all about it. The waiting staff are fantastic friendly guides. Great music, great decor, great seating. I would love to come back for dinner one evening and see the transformation.

Really nice place! Love the decor and the menu. However service is very slow. But the food is delicious and on a nice sunny day, the outdoor seating area is perfect for a nice meal and a relaxing drink. Would go back again for sure and would recommend others to give it try

Great atmosphere, nice place to have a chill drink on a Sunday afternoon for example. Food is very nice, and the set lunch menu is well priced. My one complaint would be the drink selection/menu which could benefit from being more accommodating to the average customer rather than having obscure and/or trendy cocktails. Gin selection is good though, and gins are always well presented

Great food friendly staff good coffee. Food is consistently well presented. They offer taster, small and large portion for each dish. Carrot cake is not normally my first choice of dessert but it is a must try here (seriously, its super yummy!). Sockets at every table and strong wifi connection. All in all, brilliant place for a relaxing quick meal.

The space is so nicely decorated, food is very good, and service good but very veeeeeeeeeeeery slow, for a table of 12, even with the restaurant not completely full we had to wait a looooong time for our starters, mains and even a few deserts took so long to arrive. More than two hours there. So I definitely thing they should fix that little issue, because, besides it, the place is amazing. I've seen they also offer brunch, so I definitely will go back to try them. But without any rush...

R

Great ambience and excellent service. But food not really my type. So the 3 star is strictly a rating according to my taste and not a rating on the food which others will, i am sure, find delightful.

superb interior, great display of the brunch but tasted very plain and average...burnt too! definitely not worth the price.

Been a couple of times for breakfast which was lovely. Went tonight for dinner and was very disappointed. Very poor service - waited 20 minutes to have our order taken after having to ask for the wine menu. Mains were ok portion wise, but for the price you pay wasn't blown away by the taste. No one bothered to came to ask if we wanted anything for dessert so just got the bill. Very average and overpriced for what you get. Wine is extortionate.

We went here on Christmas Day and it was quite busy - I wouldn't come here on Christmas Day again. We booked and pre paid for our table for 3pm. We got to the restaurant at 10 to 3 but were left standing for 40 minutes which started to put a downer on our day. When we were eventually shown to our table we were squished up together. The staff were very friendly but it was clear that the restaurant was overbooked due to the greediness of the management. Once the starters came out, they were delicious but minuscule. The main was much better - I ordered the rare beef with all the trimmings which was lovely. We were then left waiting ages for our desserts which weren't that great. All in all the experience was okay - I would suggest going there on a normal day rather than a day such as Christmas.

We visited on the weekend and had a couple of drinks. The service was ok, the drinks selection was good and reasonably price (I had the Gin & It which is a bit bitter but tastes nice). The food menu felt a bit lacking in vegetarian options. It's a good location rucked away in Dicken's yard. Overall, it was good but not stand out.

The Place in itself is really cool and well furnished. The staff is polite and friendly. They have a great variety of cocktails, wine and spirits in general. However, I must say that I am not sure I will go there again. This because, I have been there twice and I had to wait more that 45 Min for a main course. The first time they did apologise and offer the dessert, but last time nothing. The quality of food was good with small side portions.

The food was good, but we had an issue. When we arrived just before 12pm on Sunday the breakfast menu was on the table. We asked if there was a Lunch menu, and the waiter said 'No, but today we're doing roast beef or roast chicken.' After the main course we asked if they had any puddings, and were then given the Lunch menu, which had starters and main courses that we would have liked to have chosen from. The waitress also mixed up the single and double gins, giving them to the wrong people. Apart from that it was quite nice, though noisy. Some soft furnishings would help dampen down the volume.

Nice location. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Food good but unremarkable. Not good value for money. Expensive for salad. Pushy service. Felt rushed . Gave menus then stood asking if we were ready to order without leaving us time to look. All mains delivered and left on the table before we had finished our starters. Plates individually cleared before we had all finished. Excessive service charge added to bill which i was stupid enough to pay because friend did a 3way split of the bill total and i didnt look at it. I would have left half of what was charged. Wont be returning.

This is clearly a place to have a cocktail or a drink, not to eat. Which is confusing being part of the Charlotte family. Food variety was short. The plates were very small for such price: starters were tinny and main courses were starter size. We paid £38 for 4 small plates, supposedly 2 full meals, bread (2 slices of toast)no desert, complimentary water, and left as hungry as we came in. As discussed with management, we left for a sandwich elsewhere. Being a regular customer of Charlotte W4 where food is good and portion sizes are British standard, this W5 was a complete disappointment. Venue is nice, roomy and bright. Staff was nice, hence 2 star. But definitely will avoid W5 and stick to Chiswick W4 were everything is much much better.

Dissapointing visit. Prices are not adequate to the quality. We had Full English and BLT. Chips are not home made, MC Donald's type. The same with hush browns- ready made, cooked from frozen and fried in old oil. Full English Breakfast £12.50 is not full as it doesn't contain black pudding- you can buy it for additional £3. BLT sandwich is served on a cheap bap, you can literally taste the emulsifiers in it, bacon was not crispy it was dry as wooden chip. Food is nicely presented on the plate (looks simple and clean) but the flavour is not there. Service is good though. Our waiter was helpful and informative. We will not be back.

Attentive service, decent starter although it was a minute portion. The main, however, was lacking in flavour, badly cooked and disappointing for the price. The finale was the worst coffee l have ever tasted. The seating arrangements were so cramped which caused the diner at the table next to us to throw her coat into my food. Overall over priced for the experience and average quality of food. Will not be going again despite the agreeable staff.

Understaffed, impersonal impatient service on a day with less than half covers full. oh and dirty stained seats outside. This place could be great, the space is great and I can't comment on the food as only had 1 drink. I had intended to have a few drinks but after waiting 20 mins with an empty glass and no sign of a waitress we decided to move on. Any restaurant that decides to skimp on staff rather than positively staff and set them at work being attentive just loses money hand over fist. Won't rush back.

Food was good but the taste was ruined with the sticky rotten eggs silver wear and dishes Forgot to add that they forgot to bring our appetisers.

Utterly horrendous. Rude, unbothered staff, chefs more interested in playing on their phones than preparing food (in full view of diners who are left waiting an hour for food!). We were told fruit juices were out of stock, given two different menus, drinks took 35 minutes to arrive. Very small portions and poorly cooked food. Could not advise against this place anymore if I tried, avoid at all costs unless you want to waste your time and money! Multiple diners complaining when we visited.

Been a few times. Food is good but the service is heading downhill each time I visit. Today I went here alone to have some brunch and was greeted by a member of staff who looked me up and down like I wasn’t worthy of being there. I had to ask her could I have a table for one. No hello from her. Just a sour look on her face. The food arrived which was nice. Then after asking for the bill and waiting 15 minutes I had to get up and pay inside. I’m officially done with this place. Waste of money !

Used to love this place so I took my whole family for father's day. Came out absolutely embarrassed. Completely indifferent waiting staff. No smiles or 'how are you' when we entered. We were taken to our table a waiter who was more zombie than human. Ordered 2 Bloody Marys and 1 Virgin Mary. Received 3 virgin marys. When we asked, another waiter rudely interrupted me and argued that we received what we ordered. Throughout the meal I noticed she was just rolling her eyes after going to every table. Everything was under-salted and I know that I have a low salt tolerance so definitely no salt in the food. Beef roast was tough and flavourless. Chicken roast was bland and dry. Desserts were very good. Overpriced for what it is and extremely indifferent and rude service. Won't be going back.
