We had a good time. They easily accommodated our large group, and handled our change in plans easily and with a good attitude. Kind servers who checked on us and laughed with us. The food was good... Had the veggie fajitas and they had a lot of flavor.

Flores is always a good spot to stop in for a quick bite. The food is almost always quick and tasty, and the staff is typically very helpful. It does get crowded at times and due to that it can get very loud and hard to hold conversations. They do have a decent outside area and a playscape for the kids as well. Overall a nice place and great food.

Stop bringing you KIDS to the BAR. Sit in the family section or outside. The staff should not have to enforce this. Bar literally means Beer and Alcohol Room. That is NOT where kids should be. Yes, I'm judging your parenting.

Great Tex-Mex restaurant...excellent flavors, nice menu options. beer selection solid, salsa had a bite (a plus for me!) vegetarian options looked good (I'm carnivorous). Place was jumping on Saturday, parking lot full with a wait. Wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable. A very nice (but a bit noisy) dining experience!

One of our favorite Mexican Food Restaurants. Friendly people and the prices are not as high as other Mexican Food Restaurants, but the quality is great. Their lunch special lasts until 3:00 PM, I think, which helps us when we were traveling. Just good food and they even have an oyster bar is you like oysters. We like the Mexican food so much, we have not tried the oysters, even though we love them.

It was our first time here last night and we will be regular customers! Our server Eric was amazing. He was fun, Informative, and very efficient. The food was so good. They brought the food out so quickly, it was hot and flavorful. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Our server Brent was incredible. We had a large group with several different orders along with complex orders and a loud environment. He brought out the orders along with drinks with several dietary constructions and people changing their minds. Service was incredible 10/10

Pork carnitas were amazing. The salsa was great too.

The staff were quick and attentive. I got the mexican shredded beef enchiladas with black beans, so good! My mom got Isaia's Plate, and it was also amazing! For the price, the food is plenty, good quality, and amazing staff and atmosphere. They also have a playground and great margaritas, who could ask for anything more:)

Very nice restaurant on so many levels Santiago is a wonderful host, visibly, he loves his job, and makes everyone feels welcome here. Food is very delicious. Thank you from our entire familia ✌️✌️✌️

I got Anita’s mole from here and it tasted so good. And by the taste of it can be easily say they do very best in all of their items. They also give nachos for take out orders which are also so tasty. One suggestion is there is an over enthusiastic person at the counter who is quick in taking orders without properly hearing what’s the actual order is.

I have to say I haven't lived here very long but this is one of the first restaurants I found when coming to the area. You got to be careful with the chips they're so good it'll definitely ruin your diet. All the classic Tex-Mex dishes are off the charts with some of my favorites being chile rellenos and carne asada. We love the ambience and the outside patio and the interior decor. They really put a lot into making this place special and is to the test of time being one of the many locations in the area. The enchiladas are really good too but I tend to stick to some of the dishes that have less cheese and carbs.

Loved it! The food was delicious and the staff was so nice. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and we didn't realize what she ordered had meat in it. I asked the staff if there was a vegetarian option we could do instead and without hesitation they very politely got right on it, and it was delicious just like everything else. We were very impressed, and we will definitely be back again!

Lively Mexican spot with really tasty food, generous portions and great drinks. A local favorite for those that live around here, but the rice and beans could use a little work. Do yourself a favor and order the Carne Asada.

I've been here a few times for dine in and for takeout, and I've always enjoyed the food and the experience. The staff is very friendly, the food is great, and the chips and salsa are terrific! Just make sure you show up hungry, because their portions are generous, and I can't complain about that. Cheers.

Food was out very quick and customer services is unmatched, the only time it took a while was the desert but understandable with how crowded it was. The fajitas and shrip we ordered were juicy and soft very delicious and recommended.

Good salsa and chips. Good (if a little bland) queso. Nice selection of sauces for plates. Nice combo plates. Portions are good enough to share if two people aren't really hungry or don't eat a lot. Prices are acceptable. Thr staff is what really makes the experience. The server was amazing! He was also the bartender and was just so detail oriented. He did an amazing job making us feel welcome and even caught an error with our food and had it fixed before we knew it was a problem basically. Will be back as often as we're in the area!

Flores Mexican Restaurant is a hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and authentic decor that set the perfect mood. The food was outstanding – every dish was packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. We especially loved the tacos and enchiladas, and the homemade salsas were incredible! The margaritas were also on point, with just the right balance. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for genuine Mexican cuisine with a great atmosphere, Flores is a must-visit!

Food was great. We had a beef fajita for two and it was a hearty portion. Good homemade tortillas. They have a covered outdoor patio area and kids play scape. The staff were great, they were just busy so they didn’t check on us as often as I’d prefer. Overall great place; I’d gladly visit again.

We stumbled upon this restaurant on the way home from a convention. From the time you walk in, everyone is extremely friendly. The waitstaff was wonderful and our food came out quickly. Best Mexican food in Dripping Springs TX. Reasonaly pierced for the quality of food. Best stuffed jalapeno peppers we ever tasted. So good had to doggie bag leftovers. While in Dripping Springs for the weekend, we visited three times. We will be back when in town again.

Get the shredded beef enchiladas with chili rojo ($14, approx.) what a fantastic home style TexMex plate. Extremely filling with Smokey brisket. I could eat it every day. Charro beans also perfectly seasoned & pork forward. *table salsa was spicier than I anticipated, since many places do a milder salsa. But it was fantastic too. Just giving you a heads up!

This was my first visit, and it absolutely blew me away. The salsa alone was worth the trip—easily some of the best I’ve had in Austin. It instantly reminded me of my mom’s homemade salsa: roasted serrano peppers, fresh garlic, stewed tomatoes, and just the right touch of salt. Bold, warm, and deeply comforting. We kicked things off with the beef queso, and it did not disappoint. When the salsa is that good, you know the queso is going to follow—and this one delivered. It came out warm and velvety, loaded with seasoned beef and topped with a generous scoop of creamy guacamole. Pure indulgence. I went with the beef burrito lunch special, served alongside classic refried beans and fluffy rice—solid, satisfying, and full of flavor. My buddy ordered the pork carnitas with charro beans, and one bite told me I’d be ordering that next time. The pork was incredibly moist and tender, with a rich, savory flavor that tasted like it had been marinated to perfection and finished over an open flame. To wash it all down, he had sweet tea and I had unsweetened. Leave it to Texas to do iced tea right—smooth, refreshing, and the perfect complement to an unforgettable meal at Flores Mexican Restaurant. Yours sincerely Hollenbeck to nowhere

Just an amazing family feeling. We come here at least twice a week or more. If you haven’t been here for the amazing food and drinks, bring the kids for the fun family atmosphere. The staff is amazing. The location is perfect. If I had 10 stars I’d give them that. Kudos to the Flores family for offering such a gem out in hill country. Cheers.

Best value in Dripping Springs. We fed a family of 5 with 2 teenage boys for $60+ tip Sunday. Always good and consistent. 3 years later my vote still stands. Outstanding value.

Our waiter Santiago was very personable and a very good host. My husband and I chose a mixed meat fajita and added the supreme veggies. It was absolutely delicious. And there was just the right amount of jalapeños. We ordered a few drinks, but they were very weak. However, that did not ruin our experience.

This is the first time I've gone out to eat since moving to Dripping Springs. I liked the food and the portion size is way more than expected. I went on a Saturday night and it was super busy, we never really had a waiter. The manager took our drink order and the hostess took our food order. We ordered 2 margaritas with sugar instead of salt, they came with salt, we notified the manager and gave us 2 more on them! Overall I suggest this restaurant.

Salsa was very good. Fajitas were great. Watch out for those little orange peppers if you go supreme fajitas. Might want to wash them down with a frozen margarita. Overall a good experience on our first visit here. Would definitely come back.

The food and the service was good. They have a lot of entrees to choose from. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm so it wasn't terribly crowded. I'll definitely be going back.

The food was good. The salsa was on the hot side of the spectrum (which I like). The margarita was very good. The taco salad was huge. Be warned if you sit at a table in the glass enclosed patio area: If you are seated near the glass and the sun is out, you will burn up. 🥵

Our server was wonderful and prompt! Our appetizers, drinks, and dishes were delivered quickly and were great! Only downside was that we went on a Friday evening and it was very loud sitting inside between everyone talking and the music but overall will return!

Almost everything is spicy hot 🌶 the salsa it was so spicy I couldn't eat it. My wife ordered carne asada well done but she was served medium, my crispy tacos they were delicious but not crispy, the sampler appetizer is over rated over priced, the waiter was very friendly and did a good job.

Flores is the place in the Dripping Springs region for convenient Mexican food and refreshing drinks. We went there for our date night and enjoyed it. The food was good, but the salsa was great, a five all by itself. In fact we bought a pint of it to enjoy at home. Be warned, it does have a bit of a kick. It was a little noisy so not really a private or romantic venue. It does have outside seating that is heated and I think I spied a little play area for kids. Again, without the salsa I would've awarded it only three stars, but their salsa is other-worldly! Enjoy. PS ... They have a great happy hour!

Got take out fajitas for a large group. Order was easy on the website and everything was ready and waiting when we arrived. Food was all very good and meat was tender and tasty. Tortillas are fresh and good as well.

Paula Freed

Quesadilla was delicious, really didn't love the nachos they weren't what I was expecting and had a burnt taste. But we had a large party and the waitress was good and everyone enjoyed their food.

P
Patrick Teague

The most I can give this location is three stars and that is based on the food. The fajitas here are without par. The food is always been good and the quality has been consistent. However the negative has been the service. The way person that we have dealt with has consistently on both occasions made us feel that we were bothering her by sitting in her section. And after our food was brought we never saw a single-way person again to refill drinks or otherwise. The complete indifference by the way staff is probably the only reason I would not recommend going here.

R
Rachel Henry

Not very authentic. Loud and a little chaotic. Food was decent but since we are in Texas I have had better at other restaurants similar in style to this one. Servers need some work, they weren't too friendly. More of a "hi, what can I get you" aka I have too many tables and I am busy kind of attitude. Food had a long wait time and was dripping with grease. A little grease is fine for Mexican food but jeeze it was too much for me. Fried jalapenos were gross. Too much bread and cheese, the ones in the frozen section at HEB are better than these. Not impressed, probably won't go back. Drive a little further for a better dinner if you can.

J
Joey Clearman

It was ok. We ordered the fajitas for two and the portion was very generous. But the flavor of the meat was completely hidden by the taste of the green bell pepper. It wasn't bad, just overly green bell pepper. Service was good, it being a very busy Friday night.

S
Sherry Huffman

I love Flores but the quality of the food I was served the last time we visited was poor. Our server, Jorge, immediately replaced the Power Bowl that contained the overcooked and dry chicken. Unfortunately, the next power bowl with beef was not very good either. I didn't have the heart to send that back. Flores family, I hope you all can get back on top of your food quality because we love your restaurant.

M
Molly Monsey

We had a nice lunch experience, it was very chill, great service. We so wanted the food to match up, but it just didn't. The crisp tacos completely fell apart, the cheese enchiladas were bland. Maybe we ordered the wrong things? We'll definitely go back and give them more chances so we can find things we like because the people are so crazy nice.

D
Donna Robinson

There are lots of places to have good Mexican food, so Flores needs to up their game. Why do your tostada shells lose their crunch? My husband had spinach enchiladas that were served hot, but just so so. Chips and salsa are very good. Fajitas are pretty good.

J
Joel High

I want to start off by saying I absolutely love the food at Flores. I worked as a waiter at the old Lakeway location in late 2000s and still rave about the food and top shelf margaritas. My review is regarding the experience we had with my family. Yesterday was my 40th birthday. Every time we go visit my family, we drive by the Lakeway location on our way to Dripping Springs. I’ve been telling my girlfriend numerous times how much I like Flores and wanted to treat her to it. For my birthday, since we were celebrating with family, I suggested we go to the Dripping Springs location because it’s right around the corner from their home. We got introduced to our waiter which I can’t remember if he told us his name or not. It was hard to hear him. We put our drink orders in which was 5 waters and an unsweetened ice tea. He came back with 4 waters, ice tea, and a lemonade. I informed him of his error, and he looked at us like we were wrong. We brushed it off, my brother just took the lemonade and gave me his water. Shortly after we got our drinks, all mixture of margaritas. The waiter had an extra beer he offered for free due to a mix up. My father took it, even though we didn’t really drink it because it was a coors light. When we put our order in, we informed the waiter we were celebrating my birthday. He asked if we’d like an order of sopaipilla at the end of the meal. We’ll back to this later. We put our food order and which came out rather quickly. Typically we understand when everything is delivered, you come back 2 mins later to check on everything. Our waiter never came back. When he did finally come back, I’ve already exhausted all my tortillas for my supreme chicken fajitas. I requested more tortillas while I was fixing my last one. The waiter again disappeared while also forgetting a request for more water. Finally came back with double the tortillas requested. When he dropped off the tortillas, my father asked for the check. The waiter again forgot us. My father went to the restroom and in the time he finished, the waiter finally came to our table with the check. Instead of just dropping it off, he announced to the WHOLE TABLE what our total was. Then he proceeded to look at us waiting to see who was gonna pay. My mother just awkwardly said she’d take care of it and he handed the bill to her. As she was taking care of the bill, it disappeared off the device. Turned out my father took care of the bill by talking to the manager. After all that, we never got my Sopapillas that was offered as a birthday treat. Overall most disappointing service I’ve ever experienced at Flores. Was suppose to be a an excellent dinner with my family for my birthday which turned out to have the worst service ever. The food at least was good.

If you're expecting a basic, nothing special but nothing wrong, Mexican restaurant you'll be fine here. Plenty of options, including gluten free options. Salsa has the most flavor and staff has always been friendly.

Went for the first time a few days ago (a Sunday evening) with friends who live this place. The place was packed (good sign). Short wait (no problem). Once seated, though, our server was rarely seen, he forgot several small requests: order of guacamole never came (we asked two or three times about it), slice of lemon never came, two people asked for extras side of beans... never came. We gave up and made due. I'm sure this kid had too many tables so some of it was probably not his fault but then it's a management or training problem.

R
Robin Horton

Beware of deceptive billing and ask for a receipt. They didn’t bring a receipt—just gave a total and wanted us to tap the card. We almost paid it until I realized it was significantly higher than expected and asked for a receipt. My kids (who ordered kids meals) were charged for their lemonades (drinks are included). He tried saying it was because they were given large cups. We didn’t ask for that. That’s what was brought to us!! One kid got a crispy taco and they charged 75 cents for adding ground beef! What?!? They agreed to remove both of those charges because they were errors. The other kid wanted a beef enchilada. Server asked if she wanted ground or fajita. I asked which one comes included with the meal. He said we can do either, so she picked fajita. They up charged a$1 for it and refused to refund bc “she has already eaten the meal.” It’s not about the $1, but about the deception. We wouldn’t have picked it if he had been honest before when asked what was included. Makes me wonder how many times a day they do something similar to their customers and they never know bc they don’t ask for a bill.

C
Crystal Meador

Not enough handicap parking. I had to go to a differant resturant because they dont enforce handicap parking rules. They let anyone park in handicap. At least that was our experience. And my 5 min wait was 25 mins long before I decided to take my business elsewhere. Other than that one issue...no other complaints, nice place to eat.

Sherry Lindsey
Sherry Lindsey

Had lunch here today, our first visit. Very nice server, but 1) out food was given to the wrong table so we had a long wait with nice apologies but no discount offered (you should have comped our appetizer, seriously) 2) their long grain Mexican rice tastes like bad boxed rice with large pieces of cooked celery🤷‍♀️3) my husband ordered shredded beef enchiladas and said they were tasteless and that guy never fusses about food - yikes! 4) it’s really loud in there and we were seated in the bar area at 12ish😤.. Doubt we will go back…

Rachel S
Rachel S

The food was some of the blandest Mexican food I have ever had. My husband and I put a lot of salt and pepper on our meals and that helped, but they really need to think about adding seasoning to their food. Service and atmosphere was nice though.

Make sure if you order it to go to check your order before you leave because they leave something out every time. I do mean every time. I have never ordered takeout there without them forgetting something. Never. And apparent they have no concept of watering the dying plants they have about the room.

Not my first recommendation if in the Dripping Springs area. Drinks are way over priced for their taste. Food isn’t very authentic. If you are getting just chips and salsa, it’s good. Or just nachos, it’s ok. Again, our opinion after a second try. Our server was also hard to find. Another server saw us sitting and waiting and offered to help us. $14!! for that drink. It’s was so gross.

Bridgett Martin
Bridgett Martin

The food was so good! The drinks were okay, and the service was subpar. Although our waiter gave me some awesome suggestions for choosing my dinner, we didn't even get chips and salsa or our drink order taken until 10 mins after we walked in. That would have been somewhat okay if they were busy, but they weren't. Our food selection was the Caliente Pollo with double rice and a beef chalupa (both pictured). The chalupa was massive! My husband got Carne Roja en Guajillo. He said it was so good.

Joe Goodman
Joe Goodman

3 stars is generous. Service was fast and friendly. The chips and salsa were some of the best I’ve had. The refried beans and charro beans were flavorless. I mean bad! Not even enough salt. Flat. Inexcusable in a Mexican restaurant. The enchilada corn tortillas were tough and oily. The cheese on the enchiladas was a thick hard tasteless blanket of white cheese. Dripping Springs location.

R
Ray R.

Loved the food. Didn't appreciate being told that if I wanted forks, knives or napkins I had to go inside to get them from the hostess stand. I ordered for car side pickup. Those are items that should be placed in the bag with the order and was not. I was told over the phone I needed to go in. It was car side. The food was good. The handling of my order wasn't.

A
Aliya Fair

The food was overly seasoned with all the wrong seasonings. We order a bean and cheese nacho for appetizers. It was just microwaved chalupas honestly. The chipotle sauce on the stuffed avocado tasted like spaghetti sauce. Rice was definitely from out of a box. Other than the food the staff always had a smile .

J
Jonathan Springer

The food was not hot. It was lukewarm at best. The wife asked for ground beef for her order, and they brought out spicy chicken. The queso came out on the cold side, had to ask to have it warmed up. Restrooms were absolutely filthy. The entire experience was mediocre at best. Very disappointed. Unfortunately we wont be back.

J
Jason M. F. Smith

Service was horrible. However the gentleman that brought us our food was really nice and friendly. I know the pics are deceiving because it looks good. But I ordered fajitas and they had absolutely no flavor. Don't know how this place has 4 stars. Only reason I gave them 2 was because the bartender was super nice and made excellent margaritas!!!

Amanda C
Amanda C

I am convinced that the people who eat here only come because its convenient or have zero tastebuds. I ordered chicken fajitas and they had to have been the most dry bland chicken i have had in a long time. The peppers were hard and crunchy the tortillas very underwelming. The rice looks like rice a roni and i didnt even want to try anything else. I cant believe this place is busy all the time.

Chelsea Petras

The food was acceptable. But the service received was beyond unacceptable. We almost walked out it took so long to get seated then to even be able to order drinks. Our waitress didn't even return to our table after orders were placed UNTIL after we were done and it was time to collect the bill. We get a "Thank you for your patience those were our regulars that don't come often..." OH great grand and gravy. .. Doesn't make not attending to other customers okay. Not a recommendation on our part. Coming from someone who highly recommend this restaurant to us, we were HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED.

First of all I always give credit when it is due, but unfortunately I just can't find anything positive to say about our party of 20's dining experience at this restaurant. The waiter's demeanor was short and salty, not to mention rude and disrespectful. We had all come from three countries, five states, and several cities in Texas for a celebration. One person asked if they offered veteran's discount, "We don't give any kind of discounts" says the waiter, "We don't split checks, you asked for a table for twenty, and it's twenty on one check". And the food, my gosh the taco shells were so stale it caused me to gag. We know Mexican food and this restaurant's food is definitely not Mexican. This waiter made good on gratuity, 20% for each ticket. He finally consented to split tickets because he decided it was too much work to figure out how to collect money from each of us on one check. Service could have been 100% better, at least be pleasant. The food tasted processed and was so salty, I suffered for it. You seem to get lots of business from travelers, so do better with your food and service. Then someone flickered the lights in that room off and on, so we figured it was closing time and got up to leave. As we were leaving there were still tons of people sitting at tables, "OH, the lights in that room don't work , they flicker." Yeah right. Worst experience ever and food was near disgusting.

Only gave a 1 because I could not give a 0. It took over 45 minutes from ordering to receive our drinks. Our food came out before the drinks did and a number of the meals and drinks were made incorrectly with no concern from the team to fix them. The service was unacceptable with our waiter never saying one word to us and only appearing once other than to attempt to resolve incorrect orders. The manager was helpful and willing to discount the meal, but that added another 15 minutes to our time while the team attempted to figure out how to apply the discount. Never coming back and could not possibly urge you strongly enough to never come here!

Messed up my takeout order the last 4 times I ordered from here. My whole family makes jokes about how they screw up the take out orders. Not sometimes, not 50%, but ALL ORDERS. I don’t care if there’s a sign that says check your order before you leave. I shouldn’t have to. We’ll keep eating here because the food is good but please take this as a message to fix your problems. Seems to be a particular issue leaving the alcoholic beverages out of the takeout orders but we’ve also had food totally wrong. There are takeout people standing right there managing takeout items - why can’t they get it right? Last three times this happened I let it go but now I’m upset about it.

This place prides itself and is advertised for good food. Nope! Ordered charro beans they looked like they were sitting in cloudy water and they were just regular beans. The rice looked weird and also tasted weird. Fajitas were ok but had no seasoning, the tortillas were homemade but were not fresh you can tell when a raw tortilla has been sitting waiting to be cooked and it even hardens the edges. Ordered a crispy taco ... I can say taco bell looks better. The meat looked like it had sat in water for a long time. Don't know if you can tell from my pictures but they're there. Good luck if you try it.

I have never been so offended by a server. Asked three times for some chips and salsa over a 25 minute period. Got nothing but attitude. The manager was nice and at least got us to stay. The food is below average. The drinks are blah. This is a small town if it were even kinda good we would be here every week. If you like attitude, slow service, and below average Texmex. Here’s the spot for you.
