This was my first time to Taco Palenque. I thought the food was delicious. It was a little bit more expensive than I thought it would be. But then you have to take into consideration the chips and huge salsa bar are also included. The food was very authentic tasting. I will only be in town for another day and a half, but I'm sure I will be back. Thank you for a great dinner!

I just can't say enough about this place. The food is so good. It might be a little pricey for Mexican, but in all honesty it's a lot of food. We usually order the parrillada for 4 about 70 bucks plus drinks add on about 20 bucks depending on mood. We just sit, talk and eat. It's a great atmosphere. Workers are great!! They clean constantly. Keep the salsa bar and chips stocked and clean. Bathrooms are clean, tables are clean, even the outside of trash bins are wiped!! I appreciate the cleanliness because I have a rambunctious child who touches everything. So I don't feel disgusted by everything he touches here.

Stopped by this morning and it was fantastic. I had the tampiqueña & it was very delicious. The portions were incredibly large my husband tried the chilaquiles and not to mention the coffee hot off the pot. We’re definitely going back. The staff was very friendly and great customer service. Checking up on us. I can see this is gonna be a regular place for us to dine

This is the best drive thru mexican food you can find! Great value, great food and generous portions (the rice and beans sides served with the plates are pretty small though). I love all the fresh veggies and salsa at their salsa bar. The street tacos, barbacoa and green chicken enchiladas are all my favorites.

My favorite tacos in the rgv, we always come here when we’re visiting family. The food is amazing, and the taco spread for 2, will feed 3 or 4. Fast, friendly service, food served fresh off the grill and hot 🔥 The horchata is delicious too! This will always be my go to place for tacos in the valley 👌🏼

We come here often and each time it has been so busy but work efficiently. The staff is always friendly and helpful, they get the orders in and out, they have their system to help them with all the orders. The lovely part is that the sopa is the best in the area, and is open 24/7. They are open all the time which makes it a quick snack and/ or a meal. We love the soup and that’s why we come often. In the drive through they are fast. But inside the line to order is a little long but they get our order right away and will do anything to do if they make a mistake.

Really good food. A little pricey but that's the new normal. They numbered the drive thru spots weird. Make it simple - such as odds on the left and evens on the right.

If you love quesadillas as much as I do, the SUPER QUESADILLA with fajita is for you! It is two, huge flour tortillas stuffed like a sandwich with queso and fajita. It is cut like a pizza, though! Each slice of quesadilla is delicious, especially if you add some beans (provided with this plate). The baked potato is very lackluster. It is not the greatest, and a bit on the smaller size compared to other places I've tried. It is somewhat dry. It probably needs butter. Be ready to wait at least 10-15 minutes for your order at the drive-thru on a busy weekend evening!

For fast food Mexican food, this is a lot better than I expected. The service is fast, the food is pretty tasty, and a lot of folks seem to like it...the line is always long but it comes out quick. If you are in a hurry for some good food, check it out!

The food inside the tacos tasted great. But the flour tortilla wasn't that good. I'm a very picky person when it comes down to flour tortilla I just can't like it if it's not close to home made. But the eggs Chorizo, eggs potatoes, chicharron, and barbacoa was right on. They also give you free tortilla chips. The customer service was awesome, very nice people. Good food however when placing online orders they act like they never seen that order in their life when all the orders are placed in a cabinet behind the cash register and they check everywhere else but there. I literally have to tell them every single time "MY ORDER IS RIGHT THERE" it makes picking up food so inconvenient they need to improve on this that's why I give them 3 stars.

I stopped by Taco "P" on my way back to work from Burlingtons. I wanted to treat my co-workers to some build your own tacos. I got to work and started laying out the fixings, the salsa, guacamole, chips and beans. I ordered both refried and charro beans, they are without a doubt the best beans around. Then it happened!! There were NO TORTILLAS in the bag. $27 with tax and no tortillas to make tacos. Lucky me (not) there is a HEB grocery store right behind us, so I was able to buy some to re-heat. Taco Palenque is known for their tender fajitas, and they have a good variety of salsas to choose from. I never get and ask them to not to give me, the pico de gallo.It is never fresh looking, and looks like it was made to far ahead of time. I've continued to mention in my writing that it is a fixable problem, but I guess they prefer to give us a sub-par product. I give them a thumbs up on the food it's always good (except for the pico) if they get your order right.

Im sorry to say there service very bad my husband got down to pick up 2 tacos and when it was ready they just put the taco there without saying they were ready they were taking care of the drive through first my husband had to ask them and my husband saw it had been sitting there food good but it's getting pricey.

I love the food but the drive thru set up is so stupid. It makes no sense to have 2 lanes filled with cars and then give the people last in line their food first when we literally cant leave and are stuck waiting and holding up every one else. Ist time walking in here. The cashier taking our order was abrupt and not friendly. She wasn't rude by any means, she just wasn't welcoming if that makes sense. The charo beans were superb! Piping hot and delicious 😋. The complimentary chips were stale, but the green sauce was very good 👍. The fajitas were ok but a little on the dry side. The tortillias were nothing to right home about. The gentleman cleaning the tables was very friendly and courteous.

My grandmothers food was good. Mine however was not. I ordered two barbacoa tacos and they were both so greasy they had to wrap them twice in tin foil, put them in a separate bag from the main bag...and the grease still leaked through both bags. The service was pretty okay. We went through the drive-through. She was friendly but she gave us the wrong order at first and she took it back from us which makes sense because it was not ours. But aren't places not supposed to take back the food because of possible contamination? The drinks were probably the best tasting thing out of all of it. I want to give them the benefit of doubt.

They changed us more of the money than the amount that was supposed to be spent this is a disappointment to me and my family the food was good but the money that we got changed to pay twice the amount of it is crazy please change this.

I went through the drive through today and they forgot to put tortillas and the food looked like it was just reheated.

Dine in- dirty stained walls, dirty tables. Food was good, but only received 2 tortillas for the palenque bowls when it was supposed to be three. We went to complain and was told they would "tell the lady".

The only bad thing is that the prices went up! No more 6.50 breakfast plates! Disappointed. The salsas also are flavorless.

I've been a big fan of Taco Palenque for a long time, i have tried most of their plates and combos, usually when I'm out traveling for work i stop by to get a combo #2, its a small meal but good for the price. Today i stopped by again while traveling for work, i thought about getting the Fajita plate, i didn't mind paying extra because its a good portion, but since I have to drive and eat, i can't make myself tacos, so i opted instead for the Combo #1, i paid $15 and change thinking the tacos were going to be bigger with more meat and would suffice my hunger, boy was i wrong. I came to find out it had less meat than the Combo #2 which is cheaper. I was very disappointed because of what i had to pay, not to mention 10mins later i was hungry again and had to spend another $15 to buy food elsewhere. I hope this review comes helpful to someone, or so management can address the issue because for the price, anyone would expect more.. by the way, drive thru girl who was handing out the orders would not say a single word, just hand you your order and walk off..

The manager NEEDS to be fired! First of all they ALWAYS mess up the order. Particularly today we get there we stand in front of the register and there’s absolutely nobody taking our order. We wait for a while and see the employees glance at us once in a while and none approach us to at least say “they’ll be right with you” or anything. Since the cashier NEVER showed up someone else had to take our order in a very annoyed manner might I add. I proceed to go pick a table and realize they didn’t even give us a number! The nice gentleman (Freddy) cleaning the tables went out of his way to get us our number (give this man a raise! While he was working hard the people in the back were bantering and having a blast) I got to get the sauce and there’s barely any sauces because I’m gonna guess the very genius manager didn’t order enough… I get my order and of course they messed it up… anyways just fire the manager and give Freddy a raise!

I was fine prior to eating from here, while I was eating my fajita taco, I noticed an off flavor but only from one taco, you know how meat sometimes tastes? Not foul, just off, but I didn't think anything of it an hour or 2 later I got the worst case of food poisoning. Never coming back.

Received a fajita taco on a 4 to 5 inch tortilla. I don’t even think it was 2 ounces of meat in there, but I could see little pieces of fajita but most of it looks shredded and it also looked reheated. The price was outrageous ($7+)I was so disappointed. This is the taco Palenque on 107 near the university I will never never go back there again so disappointed.

The food at Taco Palenque is great, but they always mess up when it comes to side orders. It’s ridiculous that they refuse to give me what I paid for and specifically asked for. I recently ordered a meal and swapped the refried beans for noodles, but they still got it wrong. It’s frustrating to deal with this every time. A restaurant should honor what the customer orders, especially when it’s a simple request.

This specific location(Trenton) is always messing up with our orders! Quite frustrating. Items are always missing or they give us the wrong order. We try to check but traffic gets hectic and most of the time we are on a time crunch for lunch! They are always in a hurry and honestly not the friendliest people. Never going back there again! I was having lunch with a co-worker and as we were eating a small roach fell from the vent in the ceiling and landed on my drink! I went and called the manager and showed her. She took my cup and brought me another one and told me my next meal would be free, as if I will return!! Disgusting and I did not finish my meal!

I am completely shocked at the zero quality of food my family & I got this morning. My husband picked up "breakfast tacos" this morning using the drive-thru and when we opened them at home there was hardly anything in the tacos and it looked like they were just thrown into a piece of foil paper. This is beyond terrible. You have completely lost us as customers. I do not recommend this place for breakfast. We spent over $10 on basically nothing.

Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I placed a catering order the day before and needed it ready by 5 a.m. When I arrived, no one had any idea about my order and yet my card had already been charged. They ended up throwing everything together in a rush, and the food reflected it. The eggs were runny and undercooked, making the entire experience even worse. I expected much better, especially for a time-sensitive order.

I guess cleaning the floor is more important than customer service.

Terrible customer service. I placed a mobile order with a pickup time of 8:30 PM and arrived around 8:15–8:20, knowing I was early and fully expecting to wait. I showed the cashier my order, but he said he couldn’t find it. I was able to pull it up myself, yet instead of helping, he dismissed me and went back to what he was doing. I waited until almost 8:40–8:45 PM, and no one checked on me. During that time, employees were walking around on their phones, and multiple managers walked right past me, clearly seeing me waiting, yet no one acknowledged me I eventually left without my food and called to cancel the order. The first call rang with no answer. The second time, someone answered with an attitude, said they were “looking for a manager,” and then left me on hold for about five minutes — even though the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. This isn’t about wait time. It’s about the lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer care. Completely ridiculous experience.

I didn't enjoy paying $22 for a small fajita plate and drink. Very little beef and my drink had an ice cube with a fly Frozen in it. Not an enjoyable experience. Then the manager made a face instead of doing the right thing To fix their problems. This is an example how Companies grow Faster than they can their own Maintain Quality and Safety standards.

I like Taco Palenque but this location really sucks. The beans are extremely watered down and the place is always dirty! The employees have horrible attitudes too. The flour tortillas taste like glue. Don’t recommend this location.

I stopped by this morning and ordered a chicken taco, but was extremely disappointed to receive scraps of old chicken instead of a proper serving. What made this worse is that the person who prepared it yocelyn a (Cashier) was already told not to serve food like that to me, yet still chose to do so. The manager was already making my order fresh, which I appreciate. However, the issue here lies solely with yocelyn. Her actions felt intentional and unfair, especially given that I recognized her and know she was aware of what she was doing. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the standards of the restaurant. Something needs to be done to ensure that all customers are treated fairly and served quality food especially when the staff (yocelyn) is knowingly making poor choices.
