If you are a cheese connoisseur, stop by this place. The people who work/own the store are so friendly and knowledgeable. You can sample the cheeses, which are delicious -I tried 5! We bought 6!!

They have great customer service, prices and will let you try it before you buy. They also door county mustard that is also delicious.

I especially like that this cheese place doesn't sell all their own cheeses...every cheese factory only sells what they make, and from personal experience, they all have one or 2 that are better than other factories. This place found all the bests for you and brought them to one spot.

Truly the masters of cheese here. They have many different types and have them listed out by type. As you enter they have 4 available to sample and they tell you about each. Then you have the opportunity to taste any of the others. Good experience.

If you haven't tried their gorgonzola bleu cheese you're missing out. I never leave door county without stopping by. Wonderful product and very knowledgable staff. Going there tomorrow as a matter of fact!

They know their cheese, very clean some outstanding cheeses. The owners are very kind and happy to have you there... excellent stop. Outdoor seating, music was playing at the winery next door. Wow! The staff was SO friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy. Got to try probably 10 cheeses. Was a one on one experience where they listened to what our preferences were. Reasonably priced for the high quality.

This place is an absolute gem. We went in ready to sample cheeses and came out with some of the best we’ve ever tried. The workers are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Skip the more touristy spots and get everything you need here.

This place had he best cheeses from all over Wisconsin. 98% of the cheeses are free to sample. Only 2 of them require a $2 tasting charge because of the superior quality of the cheese. My wife and I bought a lot of cheese. lol. We highly recommend coming here!!!

This is a really incredible store. Excellent selection of high quality cheese, all from Wisconsin! They will let you sample almost anything! The people who work here are kind, patient, and knowledgable. Do not pass this store without stopping. You will thank me!

Jim was such a character and he made the trip extra fun. The cheeses were delicious and the puns grate. His recommendation to Toft Point was also beautiful for a hiking spot. Will definitely stop in again. Hopefully next time though I will have more puns.

By far our favorite cheese shop in Door County. We stop by several times a year. They always introduce us to a something new and we always end up happily buying a lot more than we planning on. The staff is also amazing with kids. Ours love cheese and the staff at Cheese Masters is able to get them to branch out and try new things. By contrast, if you have kids avoid the connected wine shop. It has different owners and that woman is like a Disney villain. She even accuse my young daughter of shoplifting. Even after emptying her pockets she wouldn’t apologize and still caller her a thief.

Every time I visit I find a new treasure. This year's triumph is a smoked sheep's milk blue that has already won several "I don't usually like X, but" awards. Next door to a winery with a generous patio, so it's a great place to try cheeses with a wine flight.

Love this place! We stop every time we are in Door County. The staff here is professional, fun, knowledgable and just very pleasant! The cheese offered here is outstanding and you can taste test any of them! If you happen to be in Door County I highly recommend you stop in!

After stopping at Harbor Ridge, my girlfriend and I always have to make a stop in here to try and buy some cheese. The employee's are very knowledgeable of all the types of cheese they carry. After a couple of tastings, they quickly pick up on what other kinds of cheese you might like.

CHEESE HEAVEN!!!! The variety of cheeses and brands!!! HIGH QUALITY CHEESES!! I mean I have been enjoying cheese since I was 8!! Since for 36 years!! Dutch, French, Norwegian, Mexican cheeses authentic from those countries.... I WAS IN PARADISE!! DID I MENTION FREE SAMPLES....WHAAAAT???? As many as you want, any type you want, 7, 1, 5 years aged....29 years aged, (well, you let like 1 or 2 USD to try this one) Excellent, very friendly and expert staff they engage with you and ask for your opinion. The bad part?......at some point you have to leave the store.....it hurts.....

So many cheese to try and so little time! This is a fun shop that specializes in unique cheeses that you likely won't find in a standard grocery store. Not sure about the flavor? No worries. The knowledgeable staff kindly let us sample the cheeses before making a final decision. Our favorites were the Chipotle Chedder and Garlic Onion Gouda. Also, say hi to the cheese stripper.

I thought they had a great selection of cheeses. Free samples of the cheeses and the staff knows a lot about them. Prices are per pound with different amounts to choose from. Great selection of aged cheddars which I love. Glad we stumbled across them!

This place was awesome!!! We tried so many cheeses, anything we asked for was given to us quickly with no complaints. We even got to try a piece 15 year aged cheddar that sells for $100 (for a $1 fee which was totally understandable).

This was a great little stop on our trip. Within a minute we knew the guy behind the counter knew his cheese. We got to taste 4 cheeses that he selected for the day but then you could try anything in the case as well. (except the stinky cheeses - that's their rule) But again, it was a great experience. They have quite the selection and it's all high quality items - they only sell the best. Highly recommend.

This place is legit. They offer some of the best tasting cheese I've ever had. Their selection is top notch and the staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. If you are looking for something hot try the Scorpion cheddar. The Bohemian Blue is awesome to if blue cheese is your thing. If we ever go back to Door County this place will be one of our stops.

The couple working the store was very helpful and friendly! We sampled a lot of cheese and it was hard to pick but we loved what we got.

We bought a few of their delicious cheeses. My husband sampled a 15 yr cheese for a small fee it's $100 /lb. We also bought some A2 mild cheddar and crackers and headed over to the Harbor Winery next door to have wine and eat our cheese and crackers. Great place !

Stopped in here after having a wine flight at Harbor Ridge Winery (right next door.) my husband and I LOVE cheese and we were able to sample close to 3/4 of the selection without hesitation. Beth was TERRIFIC and helped guide us to what would suit our palate and she did not disappoint. She was very knowledgeable and helped us find some great cheeses to bring home with us. Spent almost $100 on cheese but it was so worth it. LOL. 10/10 recommend stopping here if you love cheese.

The two gentlemen behind the counter were very nice and attentive. Gave us cheese samples of anything that we were interested in plus more to make comparisons. We left there happy and bought more cheese than we thought we would buy when we were first walked in. While we were paying for our cheese, the gentleman asked us what we had seen in Door County and made recommendations about one of the nearby state parks which was fabulous.

What a great cheese shop, with so many varieties, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff to guide you through the many cheeses. They are very generous with the samples, which proved to be a smart approach, as I bought cheeses that I had never heard of or tasted before. If you are a fan of cheese and in the Egg Harbor area (or just Door County for that matter), you have to drop by!

This is an absolute must if you're in the area, and especially if you're next door at Harbor Ridge Winery. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about cheese and you can tell it's a passion and not just a job. You're allowed to sample literally any cheese they have in store, and you'll get a little background about it while you're tasting it. There is a huge variety of cheese in multiple sizes available to purchase. The cheese isn't cheap but then again I feel like it's in line with prices at other gourmet cheese shops. They also have a few other local food products in store as well so it makes it easy to stock up in one place. If you're a fan of cheese (and who isn't?) definitely stop here and you won't be disappointed.

Love that you can have samples, staff was very knowledgeable about the flavor profile of the cheeses. Also like that there are local cheese makers. Great to take to a weekend stay or to take home as a souvenir. a little pricey but good cheese was worth the cost.

A Hidden Gem for Cheese Lovers I had such a wonderful experience at this cheese shop — it’s a must-visit if you’re even remotely a fan of cheese! The staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and genuinely knowledgeable. You could tell they truly love what they do, and that passion came through in every interaction. Not only did they offer great cheese suggestions based on what I liked, but they also shared recipe ideas and pairing tips that I can’t wait to try. Being able to sample all the cheeses was a pleasant (and delicious) surprise — it made the whole visit feel welcoming and relaxed. Pro tip: go before lunch because you’ll want to snack on everything! I left with several cheeses I never would’ve chosen on my own, and now I’m hooked. I’ll definitely be back and will be telling all my friends to check it out. 10/10

Second stop after Harbor Ridge Winery was right next door at Wisconsin Cheese Masters. We needed our cheeses and crackers to go with our wine selections for a couples weekend getaway to Door County, WI. We were delighted by the cheese tasting here with our hosts, and each couple bought one of each three cheeses we tasted. Our particular favorite cheese was the Artigiano Vino Rosse - soaked in red wines; sweet notes, nutty flavor. Be sure to visit this cozy and cute little cheese shop!

Pretty good selection and they do taste test. Caution, the more you try, the more you buy. :) building is small and more than a handful of people and it gets crowded.

Great place to buy cheese and taste before purchasing. We also went and got wine next door. We purchased 7 different types of cheese and had it with our wine. They offered to wrap our cheese after we had some with our wine. I wish I would have watched them closer when wrapping the cheese as they removed all the original wrappers that had the name of the cheese on it. I beg you to please keep the original wrapper on the cheese when rewrapping. Now we have no clue as to the name of each cheese. Other than that Wisconsin cheese is amazing.

Small yet has alot to offer. When we walked in we were greeted by a very knowledgeable lady. She offered us alot to try and answered any questions we had. We ended up buying a few blocks of cheese which are amazing and will be back

Try as much cheese as you'd like. Each party has a cheese expert walking you through each type, which helps narrow down the choices if you are unsure of your tastes. Just too many to try though!

Our girls trip stopped here last Thursday afternoon. The young woman working the counter failed to greet us and seemed rudely annoyed by our business. We were then passed off to an older man who gave us several tastings and while knowledgable was also quite rude to our group and it appeared as though they would rather have been any where else. The shoppe itself had a nice selection although a bit high priced. Our group was disappointed in the whole experience.

Yesterday was our second time here. The first time it was quite busy but the customer service was much better. The lady working acted bothered by us asking to sample, she made it seem like we weren't going to purchase. The gentlemen working was awesome, glad we moved down so that he could help us. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for her.. the cheese is awesome!

Awkward experience here. I came in and was asked if I was part of the cheese tasting group, I was not and was told to stand behind other customers talking to an employee about cheese they had tasted. Then the guy told me he did not like my shirt. I was wearing a shirt from my hometown Rockford IL. And he said he didn't like my hat either. I had an Iowa State University hat on. The hat and shirt were red, so either he hates both Iowa State University and Rockford IL, or assumed they were both ISU related. I don't follow college sports, so asked if his team was a rival of ISU and he said "no". And repeated how he did not like my hat and shirt, and said "sorry". I waited a bit to see if he would offer more context, but after a long pause. I said "ok" and we turned and left. I'm thinking he was trying to be funny, but it came out way wrong and there was no explanation. Then again, maybe their niche is like Ed Debevic's restaurant, where they insult you as part of a cheese buying experience. In any event, I did not have a very gouda visit.

Edit: I understand not offering single slices, but that isn't what we asked for. We simply wanted a 1/2 lb rectangle block cut into 1/4 lb, and the worker basically ignored that request and said "we only have 1/2 lb or more." It certainly wasn't a vibe which made me feel like requesting free samples, sadly :/ If you reasonably wanted to make a variety cheese board with 4 cheeses for 2 people, you'd have to buy minimum 2lbs and spend at least $50. At that point it would make sense to just go to a grocery store, especially if you're not getting any specialized service. I've seen most of your cheeses in major grocery stores in WI, so it's not like I can't just get it somewhere else. I was surprised that at an empty store, during the off-season, the business would reject such a simple request, without apology, and then reply here as if the customer was in the wrong. Would've happily cut the rectangle in half myself if was allowed! ------------- Would've loved to try the cheese, but they don't let you purchase in quantities smaller than pre-packaged 1/2 pounds. Pretty strange for a cheese shop if you ask me. Vibe wasn't great either.

DON’T GO HERE!! If I could give 0 stars, I would!! I was in Wisconsin last week and was told that Wisconsin Cheese Masters is the best. I went there and bought $108 worth of cheese. I kept it refrigerated the entire time and when I got home, I distributed it to my family and friends. The Swiss cheese had white mold all over it. It is white flaky mold that is hard. It smelled moldy, tasted moldy, as well as looked moldy. I have attempted to contact the Wisconsin Cheese Master store over the past few days and have only gotten an answering machine. I have left 8 messages asking them to call me back. I have not received a call back. I would never, never recommend this place! Go to Renard’s in Sturgeon Bay as they have much better cheese, and it is not moldy!
