Used to eat here all the time years ago so when we come back it's nice to see it's still here. Food, portion sizes, and prices are different, but that's everywhere now. Carne Asada was different, miss the super flavorful and juicy meat but still was nice. The staff was very friendly, food came out fast. Rolled Tacos hit the spot! We sure can't miss getting carrots either!
Their breakfast burritos are delicious but their carne asada is not that good. If you like other types of meat option go for the other option or maybe not. I would stay only on breakfast burritos. My family LOVES their breakfast burritos they are truly amazing.
Great food and atmosphere. All their food is top notch, but what sets them apart is the tortillas they use. Haven't found another spot with ones that match up.
I'm on a keto diet, and I appreciate that the cashier didn't even flinch when I asked him I would like a carne asada burrito with no tortilla. He repeated what I asked for, and then he asked if I wanted Pico de gallo because it came with the burrito. I can tell I'm not the only keto diet person that came into his store. I didn't wait longer than 10 minutes. There were other customers in line, but they were all served pretty quickly. I saw the chefs in the kitchen were listening in to the orders and ready to cook.
The very best in New Mexico style Green Chili burritos!😉🔥✨️

The food was good and filling, a good value for the price. I had their Carne Asada Chimichanga, and it was good. The only thing I was disappointed in was their hot sauce. I wouldn't consider either of them even as a medium in spiciness.

Yummy lunch stop. The service is quick and friendly and the food is mexican comfort food.
Every few months I pop back in to see if either the prices have come down or the quantity has gone up. It's great food but at eight dollars a taco and 15 or $16 for a very small burrito. I just can't eat there. I ate a great burrito yesterday, but as soon as I was done, I could've ate another burrito and I'm not a very big guy.
We went here at the advice of a fellow golfer. The prices are are very reasonable for the amount of food; it's a value play establishment. We've had better Mexican food in San Diego. The burrito was huge, taste was good. The shrimp a la diavlo was fine but I would have liked larger shrimp...the sauce was tasty but could have been hotter. Even with the hot salsa I wanted more heat. Service was quick enough and the location is convenient.

Paid $12+ including a service fee for a hash brown breakfast burrito that had bacon hard as a rock. Service fee applies regardless of payment method. If you want a bigger and better one that comes with sour cream, go up the hill to Machos on Avocado.

$35 for an undersized burrito and 5 rolled tacos. This used to be my favorite Mexican place, but that was over 15 years ago. Shrinking portions, skyrocketing prices, and no explanation at all for the upcharges (every other Mexican place is still charging reasonable rates). They need a new supplier, new management, or both. Seems like they're trying to put themselves out of business and chase away all the customers.
I think this Hilberto's was recently sold the last year becuase it feels different(dirty)and the same girl that is always at the cash register is not very approachable or inviting. Prices are high for what the food that you recieve. It seems like people are catching on and have stopped coming as it's less busy.

Had a friend go pick up food for me, when they came back I received Carna asada fries that had GREY MEAT, old guacamole and barely anything was added on, it had barely any cheese. 17 dollars for the food and this is what you get? Do not try this place ever
First time at the restaurant...wish I had looked at reviews. If I could give 0 as a rating I would. Unfortunately this lack luster burrito left me with a very sour taste. Got the surf and turf burrito. The shrimp were way over done and tasted old. Maybe they were frozen but just gross and the carne wasn't fresh either. My husband ordered a carne asada burrito and had the same foul old tasting meat. I didn't eat more than 4 bites of my burrito and I was just over it. We paid over 40 for the 2 burritos and an order of taquitos. Those were eh as well but at least somewhat edible. The burritos however, we were very disappointed especially when spending that kind of money.
DO NOT GO HERE! WASTE OF MONEY! First time going. Honestly only because the panda express next door had a huge line. Ordered from the girl at the front who was obviously in training it seemed. And the female employee with the tattoos on her hands was very loudly talking with what seemed to be a friend of hers i couldnt hear the girl tell me the total. Total was $20.41 Carne asada quesodilla Meat was extremely overcooked No flavor at all California burrito Meat overcooked Potatoes undercooked. (french fries preferred) $3 extra for guac (no flavor) and sour cream

I ordered a bacon, potatoe, cheese egg burrito and I added beans to it. The burrito came out to $14-15. If you like a place that gives you a good size burrito, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. The burrito was way too small for someone to be paying $14-15. The cooks seem lazy too so I'm sure they just want to whip up those burritos to rest a bit before the next order comes in. Also, they domt have green salsa so I guess that shouldve been a red flag for me 😂 Very dissapointed. This place used to be good when I was in high school.
If you order Carne Asada in any fashion, they cook it in the morning and then just reheat it. So you end up with a soggy Carne Asada burrito and some nasty guacamole. I asked the kid to ask the owner Armando if he could make an exception and give me freshly made Carne Asada and he said no. We only serve reheated meat because it cost too much to make it fresh. Extremely disappointed since I've been going there for over 20 years. FYI: I just called before I posted this and the person that answered the phone said "they don't care about my review. They have been selling reheated meat for years, and people like me are too stupid to notice" "Go somewhere else if you don't like it". The owner, Armando has completely checked out of this restaurant and does not care about this review. Please do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere else.
Food has gone downhill. Watery salsa and guacamole. Carne Asada had zero flavor. Cost has gone up and the quality way down.
Ordered a carne asada burrito got everything but the carne. They have gone downhill over the last few years. Used to be such a good place to eat.
Not sure if this taco shop was sold or what happened. I had been coming here for years and on the last 3 visits the food has been nasty. This last time I ordered that carne asada nachos and I asked for chips on the side so they would not get soggy. I received a container with shredded cheese, one with some guacamole and the chips with dry carne asada. The rolled tacos are a joke It is a shame!
Used to love this place. But my most recent order of Pollo Asado was greasy and had hard pieces, like bone. Prices have gone up way too much, more than double, so no longer worth it. Very disappointing. This place used to be busy, but there were very few customers now when I went in.

Overpriced and not the best flavor and texture for carne asada. Oh and waaaaaaaaaaaaaat overpriced.
