Sahara Taste of the Middle East was EXCELLENT 💯🔥 the different meat's were UNBELIEVABLE DELICIOUS, each had it's own distinct taste and flavor... All were tender. This place was one of the original Middle Eastern Restaurant in Rancho San Diego with the TRADITIONAL mouth watering taste. The salads are EXCEPTIONAL, I can't believe they had real beets cut into pieces, I usually see canned beets at other places. The salmon with the salad was soft ,juicy and just melted in my mouth. The staff are EXCELLENT Professional and Caring. Interior was modern and very very clean. I Highly Recommend this Place 🙂

Wow! I bookmarked this eatery from the activity log on Yelp and, I'm so glad I did! The food at the Sahara was fantastic and so were each and every employee. We had the chicken kabob with saffron rice, Greek salad, cheese flat bread, beef middle eastern 'egg rolls', and, potato curry soup. Wow! all the dishes were delicious and we walked out of there carrying our stomachs! We definitely will be regulars!

If u are looking for delicious middle eastern food, you need to try this nice restaurant. A friend highly recommended it as a "go to" place for family and friends.They have ample "attentive" staff, spacious room and its very clean. The food came fast! What we ordered was rice and we put in 2 Potato curry Stew in the rice for a pallette of flavor. The Filet Mignon medium rare was perfect, soft flavorful. 10 stars 🌟 on that (Try it you'll absolutely love it!). We also got the chicken biryani and whatever thr salmon plate was (not shown in the ticket). We ate yummy beet salad and Tabouli (salad). We did take home Beef kufta plate (combo). My daughter swallowed it.. lol🤣😂All I can say, the price is worth it! Sahara, you made me a customer not a visitor!!! #MiddleEasternFood

Nice clean middle eastern restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating. Though outdoor tables are a little small. Nice menu combination of Iraq/syrian and a little bit of Turkish cuisine. To go order was good. Will be back for to try another dish and check out the service.

Tasty and delicious food. I went there with my family and they were satisfied too by their service. It’s pricey regarding the medium quantity, you can stay hungry even tho.

I loved all the food we ordered, it was delicious! I recommend the rolls they taste amazing and the dessert was really good. The burgers with the Hawaiian roll bread are a must if you enjoy that hint of sweet and savory together. They have a nice bar btw and the view out the window even better 🌄

Very good menu options here. The bowl was about $10 after tax but it wasn't that much food. Quality of food was excellent, but it was more like a snack for me than a full meal. If I come back I'll definitely have to check out some other menu items for a better meal. The garlic aioli is fantastic as well as the beet salad. Highly recommend. Thanks for quick and nutritious food!!!

There is ample parking in the shopping center's free parking lot. It's an order and pay first kind of spot. There are lots of tasty menu options so it's hard to narrow down lol. Today I got a bowl which is large enough for 2 people it comes with yellow rice, a choice of protein and a side of your choice. I picked the beet salad which has cheese, red onions, cheese and I think it's cranberries. I really like their potato stuffed with beef side dish so I ordered that too. The bowl comes with one of the yogurt sauces it can overpower the dish it is very creamy. I would recommend asking for it to go on the side. Which also helps reheat the dish if your take leftovers home. They also have free hot black tea in the back.

Pretty good chicken shawarma over rice, tender, flavored grilled chicken, wish they had asked me if I wanted the heavy white sauce over the whole plate would have tasted better without it. The grilled chicken salad was good too, plenty of salads, nuts and berries. We liked the outdoor sitting, a breath of fresh air during the winter flu/covid season. 😄

Second time here Mon 2.16.26 approx 3:45pm. Really love this place as a matter of fact I think is the best middle eastern restaurant ive tried and tried MANY in San Diego..First time was great one week ago- great tasty food, fantastic customer service and very professional servers. But this time the somewhat young sort of red head girl, very fair complexion skin at the register was very short among answering our questions regarding the menu and was very unfriendly and she seemed as if she didnt even like working there..Sad cuz this business can do wayyy better and thrive had they have the right people working for them A smile is all it takes and being NICE.

Fast. Seating was adequate. Food from Mediterranean idk how to judge it. Ive never really tried it. So after all dishes. The salad and flat bread veggie was the best. My taste buds could be different from other people or people raised on Mediterranean food.

One of the workers is an old woman She was so rude and loud interrupted me while i was trying to place my order On the other hand i got seated waiting for my food I ordered a combination plate with has grilled kabab and chicken tikka It was served to me with in 3 minutes I was surprised , how fast was that Then the bad taste hit me It was grilled already and they just heated it and served it Not recommend Just google middle eastern food and probably you will find better places
