They made room for us to have dinner early because it's packed, and we know why. The steak is spectacular! One of the best we've ever eaten, with incredible flavor and just the right amount of salt and temperature. Plus, it's at a surprisingly reasonable price per kilo and includes a side dish. We also ordered tuna belly salad, quite large by the way and delicious, and a portion of wings for the kids. We received wonderful service from the entire staff, and we're sure we'll be back whenever we're in the area. It has it all: good food, good service, good prices, great views, and parking—in short...a great find!
Excellent atmosphere, spectacular terrace, and top-notch service. We ordered suckling pig for four, accompanied by appetizers of pig's ears and liver. To drink, we had wine and water. The suckling pig was undoubtedly the star of the show: perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. Definitely a place to enjoy from the moment you walk through the door.
A spectacular place in a small town near Madrid, Pedrezuela, where you can enjoy their specialty, roasted goat. They have many other delicious dishes, such as the spectacular blood sausage, other meats, salads, portions for all tastes, and also delicious homemade desserts. We've been going for many years, and it's totally worth it. The waiters are very attentive and professional; two of us have celiac disease, and they're well-versed in the issue. They have gluten-free bread and specially adapted dishes. They have free outdoor parking in front of the restaurant, which is great for leaving your car if you're going to eat. They have several dining rooms, very comfortable, and the service is very good, as I mentioned before. The price is high, but the price is somewhat high due to the quality of the product and service. It's not something you'd want to go to every day, but if you can, treat yourself once a year, it's worth it. I always recommend it.
Fantastic place to taste goat, entrance, sides and dessert were perfect, we enjoyed a beautiful lunch with friends there and it was a great experience, totally recommended.
Loved it!
This is the 1975th review for Mesón Gerardo and my 100th as a Google Local Guide. And it´s a real pleasure to do it for such a lovely place. We had a great Sunday lunch here, invited by friends, on a large garden patio shaded by perfectly trained mulberry trees; remarkably cool at the burning height of a Madrid summer. Excellent food and service
A newly discovered place for roasted goat and steak...another family favorite place!
Super
Ok
I give five stars because the surprise is enormous when you taste the dishes/tapas that you order. You would not give much trust to this place as soon as you get in, but you will finally be positively impressed. Taste fish à la plancha. Very big private parking, free of course.
Imprescindible reservar.
We didn't eat the kid goat, which is typical of this restaurant. The suckling lamb chops were very good and small. It's not exactly cheap, but its prices are in line with average steakhouse prices. The staff's service is pleasant yet professional. They don't offer a menu, at least not on the day we were there, nor do they offer it to the surrounding tables. Instead, the waiter tells you what they have. We knew the prices, but if not, ask for the menu for guidance. They have a terrace in the summer.
Went for a company dinner, we were in the garden which is the best spot of this place. Food was good and service great.
coming here from the last 30+ years to enjoy maybe the best asado I have ever had, it's not just because "Cabrito Asado" is at the top of the asados, it's because Meson Gerardo manage the quality and…
Sabor y salsa bien. Una pena. Esto no puede ocurrir. Y ambas bandejas igual. Que las paletillas se tienen que deshacer. No hemos dicho nada , por educación. Servicio bien y precio acorde.
Terrible experience. We left the restaurant with a bad taste in our mouths, despite the initially high expectations we had. We arrived at the restaurant with a reservation, and they sat us at a table that was set for four people. There were five of us. They placed a chair and cutlery, and made us sit. When it was time to serve us bread, they realized that we might all be too cramped when the next table arrived. They decided to get us up and take us to another dining room so everyone could be more comfortable. This was understandable and we appreciated it, although they should have thought about it from the beginning and not kept changing it once everyone was seated. It's also worth mentioning that this other dining room was much noisier due to the crowd. We started with the meal, ordering croquettes, chorizo, and the house scrambled eggs as a starter. The only good thing was the chorizo. The croquettes were delicious, but the pieces of ham they had were inedible. Too big and tough, they were actually tacos de ham. As for the scrambled eggs, it's made with garlic shoots, wild asparagus, shrimp, and some mushrooms. The dish tastes like something from frozen. The combination of ingredients isn't the best, and we wouldn't recommend it at all. As for the main courses, we ordered half a goat's goat and a hake. The goat's goat was okay, with some parts a bit dry. We also included a tomato and lettuce salad. Be careful because they charge you whatever price they want for this salad, not the price listed on the menu. It's not even double what's listed on the menu. The hake is disappointing; it has neither the color nor the flavor it should have; it's a yellowish color, and it certainly wasn't fresh. In short, a bill of €170 (without dessert) and average, almost disappointing food. We don't recommend it. There are places where you can eat a thousand times better and at a better price. Also, be careful with the bill; check it, because they'll charge you whatever they want. They charged us €21 for the wine when the menu said €18. As I said, in addition to the bad food, you leave with that bad taste in your mouth from the slow and inadequate service. We won't be back.
