For an awesome time, Ruth Chris Tarrytown is the spot. Food is always up to par. Great wait, staff and management. But the highlights of this establishment are Ashley & Scarlet. These bartenders are unique. They are creating awesomeness with great drinks and a great vibe . They are always courteous and professional. Ashley & Scarlet are always upbeat and spreading joy. Like always the food and service is great. But the highlight was the silky lobster Mac and cheese and the cheesecake. They need to start delivering just the cheesecake!!!! It's one of the best cheesecakes we ever had.

Went to Ruth's Chris steak place for celebration last night. The food is very good and tasty. The appetizer shrimp comes with this half lemon wrapped in some kind of mesh decor and prevent the seeds to come out which I think is pretty awesome. And when it comes to salad, I was amazed by its flavor and ingredients all mixed together and brought such a great taste which you normally not find in everyday salad. What stands out the best was the steak! My husband's favorite. The service is great in spite of very crowded time. Highly recommend for friends and family.

The BIGGEST SHOUTOUT TO MIKE! We went to celebrate my best friends birthday, her new job and that she is now cancer free! Mike was friendly and incredibly attentive. All the wait staff were incredible and of course the food was DELICIOUS! Sat at the bar with Matt the bartender with my Mom. She likes special cocktails and Matt came up with a special drink just for her based on what she likes. She was so happy with her drink that we stayed at the bar to eat and of course she had another cocktail. I had a glass of wine with dinner we split a porterhouse and got lobster tails. I splurged for Mom’s birthday and Matt would not let us leave before he came out with a piece of cheesecake for my Mom. That was really very nice and I am so grateful for his service. He was very nice. I hope to come back with my girlfriend and he is working again.

Love coming to this place. Food is amazing and Matt … I can’t call him a bartender. He’s a highly skilled mixologist. We sit at the bar - best seat in the house. We had the best meal and Matt showed us his impressive skills at the bar. He’s so talented. After asking a few questions he made some of his signatures that blew us away. Even our regular cocktails, he put his own spin on them and again blew us away. They are lucky to have him as he pays attention and engages everyone. Such a pleasure. Had to shout him out. Still an amazing first class steak house. We've been there quite a few times over the years, but probably not for at least 10. Kelly was our server and she couldn't have been better. She got everything perfect and seemed to have a sense of when to come over to our table. The ahi tuna appetizer was a perfect start to an amazing meal. My wife had the petit filet and I had the 16oz ribeye. They were both cooked and seasoned perfectly (medium rare) and we were unable to finish either one. We had 3 sides, Cremini mushrooms, potatoes augratin and creamed spinach of course. Kelly brought out a cheesecake and strawberries finale with a little candle on it for our upcoming anniversary. It's pretty pricey tho and not for the vegan crowd. A Must go if you love premium meats!

Went for a Thanksgiving dinner with the family. It was time to break the tradition of days of prep, all day cooking and all night cleaning for mom. She won't let us help anyway. Let me tell you, we were zero percent disappointed. From the moment we enter the (business casual attire) establishment, the atmosphere was great. A cozy feel with happy patrons and friendly, knowledgeable & accommodating staff. Nicolas attended our table and he was nothing short of perfect. Veal ravioli and stuffed w/crabmeat mushroom appetizers were rockstar 🤘. Caprese salad was super fresh. My medium rare fillet steak prepared to melting in my mouth perfection and I've never had lobster tail that tasted so good and had that same tender texture. We opted out of dessert and coffee since we were going home to enjoy home made cakes and coffee but yeah, the meal was fantastic. 🙌 And honestly suprised it wasn't a circus due to the packed patrons. These guys were seamless in their service.

First time at this restaurant - and I loved it! I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by Matt. Unbelievably professional, attentive and funny! I will be back every day that he is working. Between him and Scarlett, it was an amazing experience! On a scale of 1 to 10, Matt and Scarlett were a 47!

Went here for a couple's dinner over Valentine's day weekend. Our overall experience was nice and I would recommend this place. Atmosphere: Overall it is basic but still nice. Seating is placed with adequate room between other tables. The lighting was very dim and the tables were decorated with candles. Chairs were comfortable and tables were of decent size. Food: The food was good and no major complaints. My spouse and I agreed that we could've definitely have passed on the french fries. I know it's a steak house but if it's offered as a side it could've tasted a little better. I ended up going with the bone in NY strip and was slightly disappointed. The cut was a very good size but I asked for medium and some parts of the steak was charred. It didnt ruin the meal but I was sure to cut around the charred pieces. The sides are big enough to split between two people which is great considering everything is a la carte on the menu. The house steak sauce also paired very well with the steak. Service: Our server was Mandi and let's just say she did an excellent job. She was sure to answer all our questions and made some great recommendations from the menu. Service was prompt with everything from being seated to receiving the check. Simply put I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. It's not your everyday steak house but definitely worth the money for a special occasion.

Very friendly person was respectful to my girlfriend and made her a drink that she thought she would like and it was at 10/10. This Ruth Chris I would recommend. Just don't order the calamari as an appetizer because, well...they're out. And have been for months (chain wide shortage.) And the lobster tail? Yeah, that's a hard pass (also out chain wide because of a national shortage). Otherwise, the cowboy steak my friend ordered "Pittsburgh style/black and blue" came out perfect. I ordered the dinner special for $59 (main course with a side, dessert and starter). Got the lobster bisque, petite filet and bread pudding, which was awesome. Definitely would come back!

Very good food delicious. Parking was easy. Seating was by reservation no single table was available. We seated ourselves in the bar area and we were lucky to find a table. It’s on high side of $$$ 🤣

Excellent old school ambiance, great service. The steak was terrific as expected from prime beef. I like how the plate keeps the steak warm for the whole meal. The sides were the real standouts. Potato au gratin and lobster mac and cheese were outstanding!

Wow, this was our very first visit here, and I was a bit skeptical because of the price and a lot of other reviews, but the staff was great, and the food was so freaking delicious😋. My children and I enjoyed all of our meals. The steak was the most tender, juiciest flavorful we ever had in a restaurant. Salmon & Shrimp, broccoli, fries and mash potatoes, Cowboy Ribeye 26once medium rare, mash potatoe, fries, and broccoli, 24once T-bone Steak medium well, fries, broccoli, and mash potatoe. Dessert was Creme Brulee, and it was very delicious. Our first time was a blast. I hope you also enjoy it. Most of the time, even though you see and read the review. It's best to check it out yourself. I'm glad we just went and enjoyed our dinner.

We had a great time at this location. Emily was phenomenal as she orchestrated our meal. The ambiance was a welcoming one and it still felt like the standards that this brand represents. If you are in the Westchester area in NY and you are looking to have a fine dining experience then head over to this location. Matt M is a rock star server, so courteous and accommodating. He never slows down and does it all including working behind the bar. We were delighted with our meal, but Matt was the star of the evening.

Literally the greatest meal & service we’ve ever had. I’ve never seen my husband finish a whole meal & order another to take home for later. The steak melted in our mouths (my husband is not a steak eater and he ate the whole steak). So flavorful, juicy, tender and absolutely mouth watering. For apps, we got calamari & crab cakes. The calamari is not your typical fried calamari. It was the most flavorful, sweet & sour calamari I’ve ever had. Astonishing!!! The Lobster Mac & Cheese was one for the records. The amount of lobster they add to the Mac & Cheese blew my mind! They aren’t cheap about anything!!! It was LOADED with Lobster!!! The cheese was flavorful, tasty and the most incredible flavor ever. Noodles were cooked to perfection. Honestly, there wasn’t one thing we had that we couldn’t say “MMMMMMMMMMM” to!! It was a total package experience. Our waiter was on top of everything, so friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean, staff were all friendly and accommodating. The gentlemen, who took us to our seats was the sweetest man and complimentary to both my husband and I. Ambiance was romantic and comforting. We literally ate everything!!!! No crumbs!!! The only thing I’d say this place needs is an “Itis Lounge” because after dinner, you will NEED A NAP!!! Highly recommend! Definitely be prepared to spend $$$ and tip well! They deserve it!

Fine dining at is best. The service was great, everyone was on there A game. I really enjoy when a server is able to make suggestions and provide recommendations based off what we tell them what we’re looking for. The calamari was well seasoned and had all the right blend of flavors. The steak (22 oz. ribeye) was delicious, wasn’t to cool, good size and had the perfect amount of red. The food sat very well, meaning I didn’t feel disgustingly full. Definitely a top tier establishment.

Went to this restaurant a few days ago with a couple of friends and I was extremely impressed with everything. For drinks we all had the side care and it did not disappoint, for appetizers we had calamari and shrimp and for dinner all of my friends had an amazing steak. I had the sea bass because I am pescatarian. And we tried every dessert on the menu. My favorite part was the amazing service that we receive. We had a party in a private room with about 34 people and the service we received by Cezar, Mandi & Santiago was incredible ! Very attentive and accommodating with the allergies some of the guests had ! We have no complaints from booking the evening with Catherine to Packing our leftovers with Santiago! The steak was one the one the best steak, I had in a long time , well seasoned and juicy whereas the Mac and cheese could have used a bit of seasoning, too bland for my taste. I have been to Ruth Chris twice..once in Cancun for my birthday and recently in Westchester for my brothers birthday. I have to say it's the best service and food I have had. It's a bit pricey for me to eat at regularly but I will definitely be coming back again in the near future. The spicy shrimp is my favorite.

It had been a while since I have eaten at Ruth's Chris Steak house. My business partner and I went to grab a steak dinner, for a small win today. I order crab cake, spicy shrimp, potatoes au gratin and my favorite a porterhouse steak. While waiting for our dinner, my partner got bad news. So dining in was cut short. Our waiter bagged our meal and I headed home and my partner headed to the hospital. I got home and heated up half of my steak. Oh baby! 💋 chefs kiss. My steak was tender, seasoned well and not to mention delicious. I plan to come back in August for my next steak.

I celebrated my birthday here and I have to say this place was very inviting. When we walked in, they were expecting us our table was set. I believe a reservation is needed. The food was ok it wasn't what I thought. I had high expectations regarding the food. I thought my steak would have been bigger, my Lobster Tail was good and sweet. I really didn't need any sauce. My cream spinach was good and my lobster bisque was really good. It was my steak which wasn't cooked the way I asked for it. I asked for medium well, and they made it well done . My steak was simi dry, and it was small. So my expectations were high, but after my experience, I was like ohh ok, this was ok, nothing like the raves that my children had regarding it. I wouldn't come back, but I did enjoy the experience. Our waitress Amanda was amazing. The gentleman that cleaned our table off was really nice and focused.

My fiancé took me to Ruth's Chris for my birthday dinner, and our second dining experience here was just as impressive as the first. The food and service never disappoint! I usually eat fish or chicken, but I decided to try the Lamb Chops and was not disappointed. They were absolutely succulent and delicious; I ate every single one! We also loved the famous Lobster Mac & Cheese. My fiancée thoroughly enjoyed his steak (which I believe was a thick cut, prepared perfectly) and the scallops. The meal paired wonderfully with the very tasty Blueberry Mojito— they are generous with the pour! We finished the evening with the classic bread pudding. We highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion!

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here and had a wonderful experience! The staff went above and beyond, setting up our table with cute decor and making us feel welcome. Our waiter, Chris, was fantastic he took the time to chat with us, gave honest menu recommendations, and shared the restaurant’s background. Everything we ate was outstanding. We started with a dirty martini and a winter bourbon cocktail, both of which we loved. For appetizers, the French onion soup and calamari were absolutely delicious. Our main course was filet mignon, with my boyfriend adding a crab cake and asparagus, which he couldn’t stop raving about. We ended the meal with a special chocolate lava cake for our anniversary. The only downside was that service was a bit slow, we were there for about three hours but overall, it was a fantastic night!

Went for restaurant week. Great value for what it is. Great service and the steak was good but I wouldn't say it was exceptional

First time and definitely not the last. Service was excellent our waiter Frank was great. Made it special for my wife as we were having dinner for her birthday. The steak was cooked to perfection. The sides were amazing. The creamed spinach, sweet potato casserole and mash potatoes were great.

Overall it was a great experience. We were in a large group in a separate room. We had a smaller menu for that reason. The Filet Mignon (the only steak choice we had) was very flavorful and tender but some of it wasn't very hot. I don't know if it sat a while as the servers put everything together to bring out or not. Otherwise everything was terrific.

Met a friend here for dinner on a Wednesday at 7:00pm and had a very solid experience. We were seated right away with our reservation, and while it wasn’t packed when we arrived, it quickly filled up. Parking is easy thanks to the large shared lot with the Westchester Marriott. The dining room is open but broken into sections, which keeps it comfortable and not overly loud. Service was attentive and consistent. We ordered the Ruth’s Classic. My Caesar salad was sizable, and the 6 oz filet with lobster and creamed spinach was well prepared. I asked for medium rare and it arrived very close to perfect. The prix-fixe style offering is a good value. The cheesecake dessert was the only slight disappointment. A dependable spot that’s been around for years for a reason. I’d recommend it.

Our server was super friendly and nice. We were in a very simple seat for two near the back. It was good for private talking or working on a laptop. Nothing to write home about. The vibe was livelier near the bar or front of the restaurant. But the manager did come to say hello and check on us as well. It was my friend's bday 🎂 Very nice presentation but I don't think they do the Happy Birthday singing thing. Food was delicious. We had the special entree w sides and dessert. Mine had smaller portions than bday girl's, so it depends what you choose, I suppose. Either way, we both had doggie bags. I savored and enjoyed my meal. The steak was very moist and delicious 😋 and everything was seasoned just right. My red wine was yummy too. Dress and atmosphere felt business or business casual 🍷👍🏽

We visited because the restaurant was attached to our hotel. I inquired about a dress code and it was confirmed that a jacket (for men) was required. Having only casual clothes, we opted to order food to go. I was told to wait at the bar because my online order was not yet ready. As I looked around the restaurant, I observed that not a single person was wearing a jacket and a few people were wearing sweatpants and t-shirts. It would have been preferable to eat in the restaurant, enjoy a nice experience and receive our food hot from the kitchen. Instead we received lukewarm food and plastic utensils for the same cost. Very disappointing

First off I love Ruth Chris’ platform. My first time here wasn’t so pleasant. It took 40 minutes for a Caesar salad that normally has tomatoes but this one did not. It was in a big bowl I never imagined it to be. I’ve always been served on a plate. Mind you, I see a person next to me with the same salad on a plate with tomatoes. Hmm. Then my steak wasn’t medium like I asked . Also I thought I was suppose to get 6 shrimp it came with 3. And wasnt presented nicely. It was so dark in there I put my phone light to see. It was medium well. I ate because I was hungry. Also tipped because I’m friendly. However I will not be returning here . Servers were loud, obnoxious and slow.

We visited Ruth's Chris Steak House for my husband's birthday. We haven't been there in several years and the place is exactly the same. Typical steakhouse atmosphere. A little dated. The staff is excellent. The hostess sprinkled "Happy birthday" confetti on the table before we sat down. Waiter was checking in, so we never had to look for him if we needed something. They also presented my husband with a "happy birthday" dessert. Now for the food. I was a little disappointed. I had the Ruth's Chris chopped salad and it was blah. Nothing that stood out. A bit tasteless. The four of us all had steaks and honestly we all said they were over salted. I understand you cook a steak with salt but this was way over salted. So I would have rated higher but it was disappointing except for the staff.

Ruth Chris is basically Red Lobster at this point. What in the world has happened to this place? Menu all changed to be limited and targeted. No more independent steak options (why can't I order a single 6 oz filet without shrimp). The wedge lettuce was extremely bitter, randomly sitting on a bed of romaine, and the bacon on it low quality. The crab stuffed mushrooms had tasteless mushroom caps with an underwhelming stuffing. Randomly watery. Even my drink was terrible. And only French onion soup. I will not come here again. The menu has changed (I was told Darden bought them which tells me everything I need to know) and the quality of before is no more. The people were nice but that's just not enough to motivate me to return. Service was mid. Dirty water glass with a lip print that did not belong to me. It's an all around no for me. A staggering, baffling disappointment. Ruth's Chris is clearly resting upon their laurels, relying on their name and reputation to justify Applebee's tier food and service peddled at Michelin starred prices. The food was mediocre to the point of insult. The interior was drab and fading. Waiters were rushed, disorganized, and confused. The gentleman delivering our appetizers arrived and stood silent and motionless beside our table, staring at me, until my partner indicated who ordered what. The gentleman bringing our mains arrived without a tray stand, and resorted to hand delivering the 200 degree plates while laughing about the situation (why are they so hot, are the steaks cooked on the serving plates?). Our waiter, bringing our desserts, placed them upon a shelf near our table and then walked away, returning 10 minutes later gushing apologies for forgetting to bring our plates the final three feet to our table. As far as the food is concerned, I have attached a photo of a 60 dollar plate. I think the unseasoned and overcooked steak, cheap, food-splattered plates, and mushy uninspired sides speak for themselves. Not only was the food poorly prepared, its constituent ingredients were subpar. I must emphasize that I have had better cuts of meat at chain steakhouses for a third of the price. This is a restaurant for the amateur diner; for someone who has neither money nor taste but wants their date to think otherwise. If this smug satisfaction after being robbed is what you're after- Ruth will gladly take your money. If you're after a good steak look anywhere else.

Apparently they can not handle the crowds in Tarrytown NY. We were there Christmas Eve and it was a nightmare. Our dinner never came and after almost 2 hours, we just wanted to leave. The managers and staff were all overwhelmed and dealing with complaints everywhere. I just sent a detailed letter to corporate too. I have loved Ruth Chris for over a decade, but after this experience, never, ever again! Stay away!!!

Wow, I wish to thank the chief! You prepared a beautiful meal for my party of 2. My lemon drop martini was strong and sweet. The server was atrocious. He likes to gossip about his tables at the bar service counter. The bar echoes and we heard everything. If you could call him a server more like a beverage server. The team did pick up the slack.

The service was phenomenal here! However, the food was bland and they were sold out of the stuffed chicken. The lobster mac and cheese was watery, lacked flavor with very little lobster.

Terrible service. No coordination whatsoever with appetizers and main course coming out. Both courses came out at the same time. The server never came over to see how everything was. I asked to speak to the manager and he couldn’t care less. For the prices you pay this place is terrible.

It was my first time at Ruth's Chris, and I was disappointed to see that it was a steakhouse for people who aren't used to going out to nice places. It took an hour and 20 minutes to get our food, which was not cooked properly to temperature. The service was slow and inattentive. They did not give us clean silverware after the first course. Guests were dressed like trash in t-shirts, sagging pants and sneakers. The people at the host stand did not offer to take our coats when we walked in. The entire experience seemed as if Ruth's Chris was trying to pretend to be a fine dining restaurant, but wasn't actually a fine dining restaurant. Everything about it was amateur and low-class. We will not be back.

We love coming to Ruth Chris, especially on Christmas Eve because it’s a special time of year. This trip was quite different and very disappointing. What once felt like a high end establishment feels very much like a fast food in and out type of setup. Our steak was not cooked correctly and had to be sent back along with most of the other tables around us experiencing the same. Unfortunately, the area that we sat in was also near an area where all of the servers congregated, loudly speaking at at times discussing their monies earned in tips, and this include included managers who were standing there with no regard to the disruption that they were causing patrons. Atmosphere along with food quality is the reason people enjoy going out and unfortunately this Ruth Chris fell short in providing this experience.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at Ruth’s Chris on November 21st of this year. I was celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday, and unfortunately, the waiter was not adequately informed about our order. While I understand that orders can sometimes be challenging, but my order was very simple but yet she messed up. The waiter provided me with an item that I had not requested, and she repeatedly forgot to bring our drink and more bread. Furthermore, the restaurant did not have any candles for my boyfriend’s cake, and she was simply given it and placed it on the table like “ hey, we didn’t have any candles, but happy birthday” 😑 As a result of this experience, I have decided that I will not be returning to Ruth’s Chris in the future. I would also like to request a refund for the meal I had.

I visited the Ruth’s Chris in Yorktown last night, and unfortunately it fell far below the standard I’ve experienced at their other locations out of state. This restaurant was noticeably dirty — the glasses and silverware weren’t clean, and the overall atmosphere felt more like a low-end chain than the upscale dining experience Ruth’s Chris is known for. The bathrooms were especially concerning; they were absolutely filthy and clearly not being checked or maintained throughout the night. As for the food, it was just okay — nowhere near the quality I’m used to from this restaurant . The service was mediocre at best, with little attention to detail and no sense of urgency or hospitality. The staff was not outgoing or warm at all. Overall, this location does not represent the Ruth’s Chris standard. I expected a high-quality dining experience and left extremely disappointed. Needless to say-I won’t be returning to location.
