This is a 5 star rating for the staff and the people that thrive in Emeryville. I lost my gym sack yesterday and someone kind enough turned it in. I had over $300 worth of items in there too since I just made purchases Sunday. Thank you to the good-doers out there. Thank you for always being friendly and having my drinks timely and made just how I like it. I highly recommend coming to this location.

Very nice baristas, lots of seating (inside and outside), outlets, and good wifi! Their cold brew oat lattes are 👌🏼. Remember they still have a discount if you bring your own bottle (saves a little plastic too 😉)!

Clean, spacious. The server (an intern girl) was very warm. Latte is pretty good and even got latte art (saw through the cap). Sadly it’s too full the art is gone when I open the cap.

Wow!! What a great place to get coffee!! The greeting with a smile shows you made the right choice!! To have a Fresh Ground and fresh brewed coffee for under 5 Bucs feels like I hit the coffee lottery!! Tastes great and was treated so well, I will come back everyday that I’m here visiting! I found my people! Thanks to the crew!! Update: Tried the Horchata cold brew with oat milk and DELICIOUS!!! I ordered a small but I should have got a large because it was that good!!Thanks again to the crew!

This was my first time at this Peet's. The coffee was incredible as usual. I really liked the layout and size of this coffee house. There were small tables for work scattered throughout as well as some more comfy seats and tables to sit and have a conversation.

I come here typically on at least a weekly basis, sometimes every other day or so. One of the more gregarious barristers greets me on a first name basis which is sweet. I've always had good service at this coffee shop. Also, it's great having WiFi! One of the customers even lugs their desktop computer here. At least, I saw it a couple of times he may have been told to stop. However, what I'm trying to say is that they are generally very friendly and considerate of their customers and it shows. It also helps that Peet's coffee tastes better than Starbucks 😏.

The pedant behind the counter took it upon himself to tell me that I was not allowed to park in the designated bike parking because he was forced to put a table in front of the bike rack placed there specifically for the purpose of locking up bikes. He proceeded to tell me that we had to move our bikes so we went out and moved our bikes to another bike rack nearby. In the process of moving our bikes, he continued to harangue me and my husband as we complied with his request. I did my best to ignore him and turn my back on him but he just continued harassing me. It was a very unfortunate experience, but certainly should not deter you from visiting this Pete's coffee. The rest of the staff is quite wonderful and the food is good and the coffee is terrific.

Service was great. Food selections were very good. My wife and I both enjoyed our sandwiches and we shared a vegan muffin that was warm and surprisingly delicious. Even though my wife enjoyed her latte, my coffee reminded me why I don’t go to Peet’s. But hey, I’m out on a road trip and I’ll take one for the team.

I'm so sad I missed the café era. This walk up sucks. And insult to the tradition. Espresso Forte was to quality as expected. I could have looked with that but for my extreme disappointment.

Don't even think of parking your bike next to the table that sits outside. The manager keeps the table and all space around it reserved. Response to Peet's: First, the point of the bike racks is for bikes, not as a backstop for your table. Cyclists or scooters should be able to use both sides of the rack. Second, we have been asked to not park our bikes at that rack so that the person who regularly sits there can park their scooter there.

This is not my favorite Peet’s even though I love Peet’s. They got some strange personalities at this location. I make it a point to never drink alone that’s right my coffee, not my tequila and there’s a homeless person I occasionally see and like to buy a cuppa coffee for and when I came the staff question who am I buying my coffee for, but they didn’t question anyone else in line this was inappropriate. Today I came and the barista was finishing my drink and I told him he could leave the lid off and he said it’s complicated. It’s too late as he was trying to force the lid on and it wouldn’t fit. Come on now you don’t have to insult my whole intelligence I have eyes to see and ears to listen. I just don’t mesh with some of the staff here and their personalities are quite know it alls. The first time I was uncomfortable with the lady who took my order because I observed her being nice to the guy in front of me but when I came to the window she rushed me I’m just saying what do you got to do treated equal here when you come almost every day.

Unfortunately, Peet’s is going to get rid of their sit down inside café at the end of September 2024. . This will eliminate a whole community of people who gather, talk about life, interact, have meetings and all kinds of things. This community will be slashed by Peets efforts to gain more monetary income by getting rid of staff and a vital community who depend on Peet’s as a meeting ground. Why not make coffee at home if the new coffee culture is a “to go” one!?! With all the cool tools like a latte blender ( purchased at Daiso for 3$ or so) I can be satisfied at home with a Matcha latte.

If you are vegetarian please be very cautious about checking your order. It's twice that I ordered grilled cheese sandwich and they sent sandwich with meat. I used to love this place but not anymore.
