One of my favorite places to come. By far, one of the best food spots in the valley in Los Angeles. If you want true Cuban food and an environment with waiters that will not disappoint, Come here. Always amazing service.
This place never disappoints. It seems like we get lucky every time. We don't need to wait to be seated. I usually order the oxtail or lengua. Also the Avocado salad, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, salt & pepper. The food is hearty and well prepared. The servers are warm and welcoming. Always a good time.
Food is great. I usually get take out and the people you order from are always fun and friendly. You can eat in but it is very casual and they do have wine so that’s good. But again food is great!
Food is great. Service is great. Always consistent. I’ve spent a lot more money on meals, and fancier places, but they were awful. Happy holidays
Came here for an early dinner and had the ribeye lomo saltado (cuban style). It came with beans, fries, and sweet plantains. Everything tasted great. My wife and mother in law shared garlic chicken plate, which they both enjoyed but didn't rave about. Plenty of tables were available, and the room was pretty spacious. Had a coffee after to top it all off. Will definitely come back to try more from the menu.
It's one of my favorite Cuban restaurants in the area. They have a couple of other locations, but this is the only one in the valley. If you are a fan of garlic, this spot will become an instant fav. From the rope veja to the garlic chicken, fried lechon, rabo, and more, they have a lot of tasty options. Some nights, they have deals like 2 for one drinks or seasonal food specials. The staff is nice and attentive every time I'm here. I really enjoy this place.
The food here is amazing and it's my mom's favorite spot, ever. She's been coming here for probably 20 or more years. The Garlic Chicken with onions is fantastic, and I love the rice and black beans. Make sure you get the side of grilled onions because they go great with everything, and they give you really yummy garlic bread with your food. Definitely try the Fried plantains. This spot is a place you have to try, it has so much flavor and everything is so fresh :)
I have never tried Cuban food before. I am glad I was able to finally try one. Everyone seems to be ordering the garlic chicken. So that is what I got. The chicken was juicy. Flavor of the chicken itself was on the lighter side. The sauce has a strong hint of lemon. The empanada was decent. It was slightly spicy. I did feel it was slightly dry. There are soda that are interesting.I had the malt soda. That was quite good! I will try the other ones next time I go back.
The place is nice with friendly staff. The food is good and tasty, similar menu from the Versailles in Miami. The croquetas are ok, the ham used sweat inside the croquete making is a little soft and wet. The palomilla steak is good but on the small side portion. The Cuban pork plate is nice and comes with fried plantains and rice. The tres leches desert is ok, on the dry side, and not home made. Overall an ok to nice place to try Cuban food in LA. The Mojito was good. This place only shares the name but not affiliated to the ones in Miami, Tampa an̈d Saint Agustin.
I came for dinner with some of my girlfriends and this was my first time here. I hadn’t had Cuban food in a long time so this was a nice treat. I ordered the shrimp with garlic sauce and it was good, but a smaller portion that I had anticipated. It came with plantains which were very sweet and delicious. I wish there had been some kind of music as it was really quiet there and pretty empty for a week night. The service was also a bit slower than I normally like and it took awhile for them to take our order and bring the check. Small parking lot in front, but plenty of street parking. I’d come back and try again.
Got the Arroz con pollo and papas rellenos and the delicious Ironbeer soda. The food was really good, chicken and rice had good flavor (I personally don't like plantines) and the papas rellenas were so soft inside. Delicious. I had never tried that Cuban soda, it was sweet and fizzy, gonna get it again. Food was good but would've tasted better if eaten right after it was ready; didn't get to enjoy eating there cause of the shutdown but the staff was friendly and there was plenty of space inside. It's in a plaza with its own parking. Will likely go back for the same dish and maybe try the cuban sandwich.
We had higher expectations since we loved the Cuban Cuisine we had in Florida this summer. The Cuban Style Roasted Pork- Lechon Asado is served with their unique garlic mojo-sauce then topped with sliced raw onions (lots) covering the pork. The meat was tender and had that citrusy and tangy flavor, a little too sour for me. Didn’t get a strong garlic flavor. The Fried Pork Chunks- Macitas De Puerco had tender lean chunks of pork marinated in Versailles' garlic mojo-sauce and topped with sliced raw onions (lots) covering the pork. Liked the crispy crust and although it wasn’t as garlicky, it was flavorful and juicy. Citrusy and tangy, a little too sour for me. The rice and beans tasted savory but could have been more aromatic and flavorful. It tasted like they topped it with their mojo sauce, a little too sour for me. The black beans were earthy but not as flavorful. I had to move the many onions to show the pork in my pictures and videos. The sweet fried plantains were so delicious!! I couldn’t stop eating them!! The complementary garlic bread was buttery, soft and garlicky. So tasty!! They have a bar and TVs playing sports. Casual large dining area.
I've been going to this place for years and always enjoyed my chicken plates. I went there recently with my son and ordered beef tenderloins for myself, and my son got the Lomo Saltado. My son enjoyed the Lomo, but my dish had 3 tenderloins, and one was cooked perfect, the other 2 were a lot tougher. I had my son try it, and he agreed with me. I usually don't say anything because I don't like to complain, but for a 25$ dish, it should be cooked right. What do you people think? I was surprised that they still charged me after I told them. But whatever, I guess I won't be going back there.
We were excited to come here and we enjoyed the chicken empanadas and the green plantains. We also got the fried yucca which was delicious and so different from French fries. The texture is chewy and still crunchy. It's wonderful. We also got the black bean soup which was very tasty but lukewarm with no sour cream or onions. The Oxtail dish sas a disappointment as it also was like warm and we returned it. Finally I got the Cuban sandwich which was outstanding. Gooey swiss cheese with both pork and ham inside a chewy roll and pressed down to perfection. Yeah it was good. The fries that came with it were eh.
I’ve ordered from here many times, and they always seal their delivery bags. This time, my bag arrived completely open. Obviously, that’s concerning, so I called the restaurant to ask about it. The first employee confirmed they normally tie the bags, which made the situation even more alarming. Then the manager, Enrique, got on the phone. Instead of taking the concern seriously, he was dismissive, rude, and spoke to me in a raised, confrontational tone. His only solution was for me to come pick up a replacement myself, which completely defeats the purpose of paying for delivery. When I explained I had no way of getting there, he brushed it off and told me not to worry about it, offering no real resolution or accountability. Food safety and basic customer service should be priorities, but neither were shown here. The lack of professionalism and unwillingness to take responsibility was honestly more upsetting than the open bag itself.
The worst customer service! Ever! Food is good at times but don’t let it be bad. They won’t give you your money back. Horrible service. The two guys that seat you and take your order are always there. So they are not hard to find. Liars as well. Don’t waste your time. Go to the one off Venice blvd instead of the raggedy one in encino.
Hello San Fernando Valley family, Yesterday I went to buy lunch at Versalles in Encino to eat at home. I ordered arroz con pollo and roast pork. When I got home — I live 15 minutes from the restaurant — the roast pork had a strong rotten smell. I initially thought the smell was coming from outside, so I decided to take a small bite just to check. Well, without going into too much detail, I’ve been dealing with unbearable diarrhea ever since. Why would you do this? What’s the need to sell food in such poor condition to customers — especially when life has become so expensive? Who’s going to pay my Kaiser bill now? Food poisoning isn’t just unpleasant — it’s dangerous. Please be responsible. Versailles you have more that 20 years in this business.
