So excited to a Lee's in Virginia! The service is normal as like the other Lee's sandwich places, but the sandwiches are delicious! Looking forward to be back here.

I’ve now been here enough times I feel I can accurately express my opinion. The food is always 10/10. The service is 10/10. The speed of food is 9.5/10. The first time I came here, it was empty, took 20 minutes for me to go up and ask where my food was. It took 5 minutes for it to come out. The food was phenomenal. I was ready to not come back, but a friend of mine swore that they were worth it. Came back again, it was packed full and busy. Service was fast moving and prompt. Our food came out in 5 minutes. Since then, I’ve only had 2 times where my meal was forgotten, but that’s out of dozens of times I’ve come. Thanksgiving was a perfect example of how amazing and efficient this place is. There were 10 large orders coming in, baguettes were being sold box after box after box, more roasting. So many families were inside seated and eating, ordering, enjoying themselves. I ordered the same as always, and it STILL came out in 5 minutes. I can only ever recommend this place. Just on the rare occasion it takes more than 10 minutes, don’t be afraid to ask. When the building is packed full of patrons, the service is quick and cordial

Fun Vietnamese foods and snacks available. Food was nothing special. Baguette was pretty hard. Large sandwich for the price. The tables were not clean. Service was fine. Will not be returning.

Lee’s is our go-to for sandwiches to take on a hike or out in the country for the day. My family typically goes for veg #12, pork #6 and most of the time we pay to add avocado. Be aware tho that there have been occasions I pay for avocado and they have forgotten. Maybe check before you leave. Update: June 2023. Taking away a star. Sandwich much smaller looking than previously. Man said “10”, same as always”. I measured just for kicks and it barely made 9” and that’s with the wrapper on. I ordered passion mango strawberry tea with boba (75 cents more), 25% sugar and 50% ice. First sip, very sweet. Cannot believe she reduced the sugar. Full of ice and not boba like I expected, rather they substituted Crystal boba. Okay fine. Less than thrilled today.

Baguettes is better than other ban mi restaurants with crunchy crust but ban mi sandwich prices are higher. To be fair their sandwich sizes are considered large at other ban mi places. Pork and shrimp spring rolls and summer rolls were just average.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Ordered delivery through doordash (meatball banhmi, 4 pate chaude and 2 orders of wings). They called me and said they don't have wings and said they need to replace it with something with similar pricing and said they'll send a chicken sandwich and a chicken egg roll. Didn't even give me a choice to pick what I wanted. Just assumed I'd like a chicken sandwich and a chicken eggroll to replace the wings. I said no just remove it from the order and they refused and said they needed to replace it or they aren't going to deliver. I told her I wanted another meatball banhmi since its 11 dollars just to replace it she said "no since its a chicken sub it should be okay" reluctantly said okay because she seemed to be stuck on sending me a chicken sub. Got my order and my meatball banhmi was not in the order instead I got a pork sandwich. I called and I let them know my sandwich was incorrect. The rude woman on the phone told me I was wrong and demanded I send pictures. Which I did when I called back she said oh that's the wrong sandwich...which I was very well aware of. She asked "what you want me to do about it". I told her at that point out of my entire order the only item I wanted that I got was the pate chaude. I asked her for a refund only on the meatball sub and she told me to wrap up the sandwich keep it in the freezer and bring it back when I want it replaced or refunded?? I live 45 minutes away hence the delivery but asking me to freeze a sandwich, drive 45 minutes and bring it back when I have time is insane. I've never had a food establishment request I bring food back for their mistake after I've opened and touched it. When I told her no she said she would pick up the sandwich from my home and asked me for my home addresss????? I'm not sure what they're planning on doing with a sandwich that's been opened, touched then frozen? Maybe resell it or make sure I didn't eat it? Ended up throwing away the sandwiches all together and ordering from another place. I'm not just a little disappointed this is by far the rudest customer service and bizarre experience I've had when notifying a restaurant they sent me the wrong order and the lengths they expected me to go through to get a refund or a replacement for the correct sandwich. 2/3 of my initial order wasn't provided. Ended up just going through doordash for a refund. Do not go here! Now I'm contemplating if they're just reusing old sandwiches from incorrect orders.

The only thing good in this place are the baguettes. The staff’s are rude, the execution on the ban mi is poor and everything is over priced!! I ordered a bbq ban mi without veggies and it tasted like i was eating straight baguette bcuz there was hardly any meat in the sandwich. Smh for a 9 dollar ban mi and it’s mostly bread!!! This place needs to be turned into a bakery. And needs a new owner and staff!!

It unfortunate that numerous workers here are rude and prejudice against disabled veterans, especially being a Vietnamese establishment where Vietnam Vets may go for comfort food. My wife witnessed a Lee’s Sandwich delivery worker today disparaging a disabled Vet with clearly Displayed handicapped tags for parking in the handicap space. It’s sad that this Lee’s worker thought it more important that his delivery van (not Handicapped) couldn’t use the handicap space for his own convenience of his very able body. I’m from nCal and have met the Lee’s sandwich family and am ashamed to see the store that’s been franchised in VA

The sandwiches are good, but this is the second time in a row that they gave me the wrong order. I asked for my sandwiches without pate or jalapeños and they put pate on them, and when I picked them up they put them on the table where you pick them up and a plastic bag so I could put them inside. Now they don't even put them inside the plastic bag. Bad service today 08/16/2025 at 5pm.

Disappointing Experience at Lee’s Sandwiches Lee’s Sandwiches used to be one of my favorite spots when I lived in California. I was thrilled to find a location near me after moving to Virginia, but unfortunately, my recent experience was extremely disappointing. I called ahead to politely ask if they could put less ice in my iced coffee since they usually add a lot. To my surprise, the lady at the counter responded rudely, raising her voice and accusing me of wanting more coffee without paying extra. This was not my intention at all—I simply wanted less ice. To make matters worse, the owner/manager refused to sell me food just because I asked for less ice. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of basic customer service was truly shocking. As a customer looking to support a business I once loved, this encounter was incredibly off-putting. It’s not the way anyone should be treated when they’re spending their money. I hope the management can address this behavior and improve their customer service. Until then, I don’t think I’ll be returning. Also customer stated she didn’t care about the bad reviews. Anyways her place is full of BS

I am so disappointed about the service in this bakery. They asked and deducted tip right away at the register even though I hadn't had my food yet. Wow!!! I am speechless 🙊 😶 I would tip much more than the amount that they forced me to give to the kitchen people. That's their reason for the tip. I'm still speechless 🙊 😶 😢 👎 👎 👎 👎 👎 👎
