The food is incredible and made from scratch! It is an awesome atmosphere and our server was very friendly and attentive! The pear cosmo was delicious and the bread pudding was to die for! We will definitely be coming back!
What a great looking place, used greyhound station and made it remarkable. Interior is nice the atmosphere is nice food is excellent as well.
Burgers were very good. Fries were good. Onion rings very thin and crunchy. Would not order chili again. Bread pudding was great. Server was excellent.
I'm not easily impressed, but they got our drinks out faster than imaginable. This is not an exaggeration. Pretty great beer selection. My son wasn't enticed by the couple of mocktails but they sounded fancy. We got the Bru (namesake!) and the double bacon, fries and onion rings. So, onion rings are a skip, doughy and not crunchy, but enough about that. The fries are good, skin on regular fries... But I like them. My Son ordered medium rare, and it came medium. My double bacon came with more than I expected amount of The Garden: lettuce, tomato and onion, and a normal amount of pickles on the side. I would recommend saying yes to the garden, but go easy. But wait there's more! They have a tomato jam which is fancy talk for a sweeter ketchup, and their ketchup is house made, and is better than whatever is in your squeeze
It was a great time out there! I went towards their closing hours, I’m not from the area and surprisingly everything normally closes at 8 except them. I got a 3 cheese garlic burger with onion rings and some wine. It was delicious and well presented. Then the kind waitress talked me into a peach bread pudding dessert and let’s just say I had to roll myself into bed. It was definitely worth the diabetes and the hospitality was great. Thanks for a good time 👍🏾
Loved my experience at Bru Burger. The service was very friendly and quick! The salmon sandwich was fabulous, will definitely order again. Great flavor, little crunch with the slaw on it, highly recommend!
Consistently great tasting burgers and side order of onion rings cooked as requested. The location inside the old bus terminal building is a bonus.
Very modern atmosphere, high ceilings and roomy seating. The service was outstanding and very helpful with questions. We ordered pomegranate spicy margaritas. They where good but alittle to sweet. The burgers we ordered where cooked exactly how we ordered them. They where fresh and full of flavor. The bacon was outstanding. The pickles where very tasty. The only weak dish was the coleslaw. Very dry it was not good. I wish the slaw was as well prepared as the burgers. Really the burgers and the server where the high lights of the dining experience.
Their salmon sandwich is amazing. I get it without bread and they lay in it on a bed of salad. It is absolutely wonderful.
We had a large group upstairs. The server was fast and checked on us several times. We just had drinks and appetizers. All tasted fantastic! I took my wife for lunch for our anniversary. Everything was great!
Amazing staff. Amazing food!! Great experience overall. 10 out of 10!
We had a excellent evening dinner. I honestly can't think of a single thing that was. Great work Bru Burger. The good was awesome and the service was great.
We had a very nice lunch with family today. We tried the beer cheese pretzels and onion rings for our appetizer and they were very good. We ordered chicken tenders and a variety of cheeseburgers with the sides of fries. The entrees were so delecious and we finished them off with a very tasty vanilla milkshake. We also signed up for their frequent dining rewards membership and found out that it work in multiple locations and a variety of different cusines
Great atmosphere and the building has a great story. I had the bbq nachos. 10/10. Would definitely recommend.
This was our first time here and we loved it. Traveled in from out of town to catch up with friends and we were so glad we picked this restaurant. The food was perfect. I had the Bourbon Burger cooked to medium. The temp was perfect. The horseradish flavor was not overpowering. The service was perfect. Everyone was smiling and they genuinely seemed like they enjoyed what they do. You can't beat the atmosphere. It's very clean and updated. Very cool building. I would love to go back and sit at the bar. 10/10
Weekday lunch while traveling. Seated immediately and order taken quickly. Everyone was super friendly. Had a double bacon burger and it was delicious!! Side of fries that were awesome! they are also pet friendly! Our dog is traveling with us so it was nice to be able to sit down to a meal, just had to sit in the patio area and it was a perfect day for it!!!! Highly recommend!
We are from out of town and were really hankering for a burger so we decided to give bru burger bar a try! We are so glad we did, this place is delicious! We started with the the triple dip, the onion straws were thin and delicious and the naan paired really well with the sweet pepper goat cheese! The star of the meal was by far the garlic three cheeseburger - the garlic aïoli was to die for. The chipotle barbecue burger was also spectacular! I couldn’t even finish half the burger that’s how loaded it is. The fries are good! Probably would’ve been even better with the side of garlic aïoli honestly! Last, the margarita with elderflower was so yummy packed with a punch! Also shout out to our server, Jaylin, she was great! If we had this burger place in our area, we would definitely visit often! 🍔
Bren was over the top serving us at the old Greyhound Bus Station, turned into a very cool and delicious place to feast. It’s animal friendly too. When they brought our glasses of water they brought my Ruby(Chiweenie) a bowl of ice water! They have an entire Gluten Free menu. First gluten free Pattie Melt since I was diagnosed in 2009. And it was to die for💯 I forgot to take pix of my delicious food😬
LOVE THIS PLACE! One of my husband and i's favorite places in Evansville. So tasty (especially the nachos and fries) and the service and atmosphere was so amazing! Our service today was especially good today. We had a wonderful lady named Ericka. She was so sweet and had the best service! Thank you Bru burger!
This is a true 5 star rating. Traveling and a local recommended I try out bru burger. So glad I did, man was it good! Got the Mexican burger (probably called something close to that) with queso cheese and guacamole. It was delicious!! Burger was cooked just right, they asked how I wanted it (medium), and it was a great size. Waitress, Brittany (and was great) recommended the fries. She was right, they are fresh cut, kinda like 5 guys fries. An unexpected treat was the ketchup - I don't usually use ketchup and thought it was salsa since I got the Mexican burger. But it was very light, not thick and sugary like normal ketchup. It was so good, I asked for more. Nice layout with seating upstairs and outside. I don't drink, so can't speak about the bar side of things. But I didn't feel like I was eating bar food at all. High end quality burgers and fries. Absolutely try it. Oh, they gave me a 20% military discount also, which is awesome!
I rarely just love a mostly burger restaurant! I AM OBSESSED when I have an opportunity to eat here- about once a week. I am so excited when the office has this restaurant. But, I've gone twice to enjoy the atmosphere! Amazing location in the old Greyhound Station! I love sitting outside. Apparently, you can't go wrong with any burger, but the Provencal? Holy cow! The fries are gluten free. Gluten free buns or lettuce wrap or bed available! Homemade ketchup!!! Seriously, I have a Bru Burger addiction. I'm kind of a burger snob... homemade and grilled to perfection. But, this restaurant? It's fantastic! It's fun! Excellent, polite serve. Clean. Thank you!!! The pictures are two visits combined. Delicioso!!! 😋
This is a great restaurant located in a historic old Greyhound depot building. It is very easy to find using Google Maps and is in the city center of Evansville, Indiana. They have some really awesome salads and appetizers. Most of their entrees are great too. The service here is great and all of the staff are very friendly. Parking is mostly on city streets but is free.
Delicious food!! The atmosphere has a great vibe to it and the staff was very friendly. They have a huge, covered, outdoor space. Great for the whole family. I got the burger that has everything habanero on it and as expected, she was hot!! Very good, highly recommend.
This is a neat place! It is located downtown in an old greyhound bus depot. Atmosphere has a great vintage/modern vibe. Service was great. The soft pretzels with beer cheese & spicy mustard from the apps menu were amazing! Spicy mustard has quite the kick to it so dip lightly! Pretzels were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. I had the Bru burger with onion rings & wow! I am normally not a hamburger person but this one was tasty. I am pretty sure not only was the Taleggio cheese on top of the burger, but I think it was inside the burger patty as well. The onion rings have a nice thick breading on them, you don’t get very many but they are HUGE. My boyfriend got the nachos, I believe they were chicken & pork & he could not finish them the serving was so big. We had plenty of leftovers! We were too full to try the famous peach/white chocolate bread pudding & had a long drive ahead so we couldn’t take it to go which I was really quite upset about LOL. We are not in Indiana often but I would definitely go back if we found ourself in the area again!
Our server was shy, but still gave us a great experience. The place is absolutely gorgeous and the food was so delicious. Husband ordered the 'Melt Your Face' Burger with fries and I ordered the buttermilk Chicken tenders with a side of fruit that I requested be all strawberries and a chocolate shake. All the food was great!
Had a great experience at Bru Burger! The food was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. The service was just as impressive: friendly, attentive, and quick. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend!
As I walked into the scenic old Greyhound bus station, I could sense an eye for “quality” and “craftsmanship” within the now converted Bru Burger. Food was fast, and the quality of food prepared was that of a higher caliber restaurant peaking towards a 5 star rating! If you have not experienced the “impossible burger” OMG!!! Hats off to the wonderful chef who prepared the best burger, non- burger I have ever experienced!
We stopped here to eat, just passing through from out of town. When I say that my burger (I belive it was the Southern style burger) was the best I've ever had in my life, I mean it! We also got the Nashville chicken tenders for an appetizer and they were very good! The portions of the tenders were huge and the dipping sauce was delish. Our server Joseph was phenomenal - so helpful when describing the menu! He was attentive and overall wonderful!!! Also to note, the fact that you can order a smaller burger with all the same toppings as the larger, fancier burgers is the icing on the cake. The smaller sized burger is absolutely perfect for someone with a smaller appetite but who wants to leave stuffed LOL GREAT PLACE, HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Best burger place in Evansville with tasty food, great service and a really nice setting in a historic Greyhound station! Many different burger options available, including a delicious vegetarian patty. Convenient and walkable location downtown. If you like burgers, strong recommendation!
They have multiple locations! Bloomington,Indy! And in Indy I ate at Vida other one of their restaurants. It was amazing!. They have a loyalty program that I wished I knew about years ago. I would have at least 200$ in free food if told about it. That's the only problem I had. Tell us about the loyalty program!!
Erica was AMAZING!! Phenomenal service, quick & organized even with another very large party on a busy Sunday morning. She was warm & welcoming. Food was fresh & fast. Really loved the atmosphere as well.
The environment and food were amazing! The portion size is well worth the money and the quality is seals the deal for sure. Our server Kaylin was absolutely amazing and I recommend her for anyone interested in visiting this establishment. Highly recommend and I will definitely be returning in the near future!
I’ve seen some videos rating this in the top 5 here in the area. When we went we had a bourbon burger and a white cheddar burger. They were the best we have had in the area as of yet. Service was great, atmosphere was great, and it didn’t take a long time to get our food even though they were busy. Off street parking as well and that’s rare for downtown. A big plus, they are kid friendly(during the day at least) Definitely will be returning.
OUR DATE NIGHT WAS SO NICE THAT WE WENT BACK THE VERY NEXT DAY! We almost gave up looking for a local place to have our dates. Almost 3 years had gone by. We both were very content with cuddling on the sofa & ordering in. Then, his birthday came. I wanted to do something with him other than our ordinary dates at home. We stumbled upon Bru Burger. The food is fresh & delicious. Everything arrived on time. The service was phenomenal. The atmosphere is very cozy. The prices are so reasonable that the both of us were able to leave pretty good tips to our waitresses both nights. Try doing that in this economy, lol. It's very possible to do at Bru Burger❤️
The outside gives cool diner vibes however the inside is very modern elegant style. The food was a bit pricey, you could tell everything is made in house however some of the dishes felt as if they were trying to hard to make it fancy and it ended up tasting weird. Overall it’s not bad if you’re in the area but not for everyone.
I absolutely loved their homemade sauces. The soft tomatoes along with the balanced level of sweetness made the burger so much better than a lot of other restaurants. Furthermore, the meat patty was soft and juicy which was complemented so well with the crispy bacon and the crunchy lettuce. The burger was amazing. The wooden interior decor was also delightful which made the place so cosy. It definitely helps that there is a lot of space in between the tables which makes the dining experience feel less cramped. The service was also great. The waitress was polite and smiling and the food was served pretty quickly after we gave our order. Overall, the portion was pretty decent. A burger is around 13-15$ and it is pretty filling. For an extra 2,50$, you can add some fries or some fruits which are great. They also have great deals during happy hours which are between 15:30 - 17:00. All the appetisers are half price and most drinks are 3$ off!
Great place - a GrayHound Bus Station that was converted. Great atmosphere, and excellent service. The appetizer was excellent. The black bean burger was OK. The fries were burned - we could eat only some of them. I took a look at another reviewers' pictures, and it appears that the fries have been burned on a routine basis for quite a while, which is a surprise given that the owner seems to check the reviews for feedback. A visit at Culver's Restaurant should help the cook understand what good fries look like and discontinue his "burn practice" for good. Prices are reasonable.
1st time eating here for all 3 of us. Waitress was very friendly and quick. We ordered the Bru Board as an appetizer. It was very good and enjoyed by all. I ordered the Mexicali Burger with fries, Rhett ordered the Honey Chipolte BBQ Burger with Chili Cheese fries, and Justin ordered the Double Bacon Burger. All the burgers were huge, we weren't quite sure how to fit them into our mouths! My burger was good, a little undercooked for my liking. I ordered it medium and it came with some pink showing throughout the burger. Some of the fries were too crispy to eat but not too many. The kids loved their burgers and fries. Everything was good with their meals. We got the Bread Pudding as a dessert. It was really yummy and a great addition to the meal.
With 14 locations in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky, something must be going well for this small chain. We had to try it for the location in Evansville. The Food - 4 Stars: For the order, we had: 1) Onion Rings 2) Soft Pretzels 3) The Beginning Interestingly, the burger was not the best part. The soft pretzel and the onion rings were the winner of the day for me. Don't get me wrong, the burger was great, but I have had better more often than not. Atmosphere 5 Stars: This location is located in the historic downtown Greyhound station of Evansville. The signage out front and the small touches of history throughout the restaurant really bring the history to life. The Service - 3 Stars: Average service with our waitress was nice and prompt. The Price - 2 Stars: $$ - Total ~$110 before the tip. Overall, 4 stars and a little pricey, but definitely recommend.
My boyfriend and I took my niece here for her 18th birthday. We didn't ask for any special treatment. I did use the Google app to reserve seating prior to going there, but it was a Saturday night and we still ended up waiting a good fifteen minutes when we arrived. You can probably tell from the pictures, the burgers were a pretty good portion size. I elected to have fruit instead of French fries, which I don't regret because the burger was a beast. My niece who runs track and is like 120 lbs demolished her entire plate... so I would say the food is tasty--that or I starved the poor child shopping earlier in the day. The price is probably comparable to a Red Robin? They do have a rewards program, an upstairs dining area and a bar. It's a trendy place and the overall service was pretty fair.
This is a cool place. An old Greyhound bus terminal. Nicely done. The food was really good. We got the vegan burger, fries and onion rings. Everything was exceptional. The burger was better than most, for sure. Not sure what the secret is, as it was just an Impossible Burger. There was something special about it. The fries were really good. Not greasy, at all. The onion rings were huge and the portion was very generous. The fries and onion rings were sides, but still very plentiful. At first our server seemed short and annoyed at our questions. Later, she seemed pretty cool and her attitude improved throughout our dining experience. I definitely recommend stopping at this establishment on your next trip to Evansville.
Love the atmosphere and decor with a subtle steam punk vibe. Our waitress was good, attentive, and cleared the plates punctually. It seems to be a little pricey.
The Mushroom and Swiss burger was removed from the menu since my last visit. I'm not happy >:( However, they still have the spicy chicken sandwich and it is really good. Please don't get rid it! The new mixed vegetable side is very good.
The only thing we didn’t like is they don’t have a list of tap beers you can read instead it’s posted on a board that us older people can’t read or see. They need to get a list or come up with something better , we hate this about Bru burger. Not senior friendly
Came here for my b day dinner. Our wait was longer than expected. Our server was Christi. She was outstanding. She made a reward recommendations. My drink was the bourbon my gf had the texas mule. Our drinks made to perfection. Food was ordered and came out in a timely manner. The homemade ketchup and ranch sauce was great. My burger was great. She recommended me to have 2 patties. I'll be back. Love this place.
1st time visiting. Ordered a vegetarian sandwich but it was cooked on the same grill as the regular burgers. Other sandwich was good but very messy do to so much sauce. The homemade ketchup was delicious as well as the onion rings and pretzel sticks. Beautiful place inside and beautiful patio for outside dining when weather permits. Waiter was EXCELLENT. Will return and try again...
I ate here the first time in 2017 and loved it. They had a surf & turf burger that I really liked. They didn’t have it this time though coming back. Small bummer. None of the burgers on the menu really caught my eye this time so I ordered the nachos with pulled pork and very much enjoyed it. I ordered their house margarita however and it tasted like the only thing in the glass was maragarita mix. Overly sweet, didn’t taste any tequila in it at all. Overall, the experience was okay. Not at all busy for a Saturday afternoon. Bring back the surf & turf!
Waitress was clearly having a bad night considering the sighs before asking for anything. We asked for the beer menu and she held up a written piece of paper in her order taking book, and it just felt like we were inconveniencing her. We ended up just paying for my one drink and leaving. I was so excited to eat there, too.
My food was moldy and wilting. And then they made me a new one and guess what that one too was gross and messed up. My recommendation is go somewhere else. Update I wanted to try the food here again and I order the impossible because I'm a vegetarian. But what I got definitely wasn't an impossible.Because it was covered in bacon and barbecue chicken. Conclusion this place sucks
Food was good but service was terrible at the bar (12pm on 2/13). Ordered a spicy dish and was forced to eat without a drink over the course of 20 minutes. Asked another employee who ignored my request. We finally snagged the attention of the bartender, who proceeded to check and serve every other person at the bar before us. Once reaching our location, he gave attitude and stated "I saw you and said I was comming." If you decide to go, do not sit in the bar. There is a definite lack of customer service.
