Very friendly service, tasty food and such a beautiful atmosphere! The view was just as beautiful in the antique building inside with all the original wood and windows, as the view outside with all the trees 🌲 if we return to Santa Cruz, we would go again. Also! I told them I had a gluten allergy when I ordered my omelet, and she told me that the potatoes and hash browns were also gluten free! For me, this is big. Everywhere I eat, I have to be careful and even most restaurants who say they’re gluten free, don’t have clean preparations and always have cross contact! I wish more restaurants were knowledgeable about gluten allergies. I’m very happy about the knowledge she shared and that they use separate grills for the bread items! Thanks for the great breakfast Rocky’s!
Super cute place that popped up on Google Maps when we were heading out of town from camping at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park campground. Friendly staff, fresh bread, delicious food. A very cozy cabin feeling establishment, and lovely sunshine in the windows in the morning. Definitely going here the next time we're in town. 😃 Note: CASH ONLY, and a few gluten-free options! (Wish they had gluten free bread)
Was in Felton on business. Rockys' is one of the best breakfast services I have experienced in a long time. Immediately greeted with a smile when I arrived, quickly seated, never saw the bottom of my coffee cup and never short of water. The food was fantastic and helpings were generous. Without hesitation we will be going back when we are in the area and recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys great service with a smile.
This is a wonderful little breakfast cafe inside a charming old house. We got an absolutely delightful and very funny waitress who kept us well-fed and completely entertained while we were there. I had the French toast and sausage, and it was amazing. My companions really enjoyed their breakfasts as well. We will definitely be coming back!
I love a big breakfast after hiking and I'm so glad we checked out Rocky's Cafe. My brother ordered the chicken fried steak, I got the chilli cheese scramble and we shared a short stack of blueberry pancakes. Everything was so good and did not need any additional salt, pepper or hot sauce so please try it before adding them. We devoured everything. I'm saving this spot so I can try other food after our next hike. The wait staff was so kind.
My favorite place in Felton. Super cute atmosphere. Staff is amazing and always thoughtful. It’s a lovely local place. Feels like home. Be advised they are cash only. The only thing I don’t like is you can only get the pumpkin pancakes in a very short window of the season—- or I’d get them all the time. But their regular pancakes are floofy and thick and wonderful.
We have been coming to Rocky's for years now and it is our favorite breakfast place. The food is very well prepared good portions and they have good specials. The staff is really the best part of the whole experience they are so friendly and make you feel like you're at home.
**IT'S CASH ONLY! ** but worth it. Rockys is a classic breakfast diner spot without all the fuss and muss. The food was delicious, the service was quick and friendly, and it’s great for a quick stop if you're ambling down Highway 9. The vibe is more small-town and less hipster. It's a good alternative to The Grove, especially if you got discouraged by the crowd there. One critique: their drip coffee was... not good. Maybe it was just a bad coffee machine day? Which is a shame, because there’s so much great coffee in the area.
We were there on a busy Sunday morning and the service was a bit slow. The staff was really nice and the food was great.
One of my favorite places to eat. Hella rad place and good prices. The staff is friendly and it’s a cool place to enjoy delicious breakfast and lunch. I’m vegetarian and I’m very happy with my choices. Much respect and appreciation to everyone from the bussers,, chefs, dishwashers, and servers; you make the place look great, the food taste delicious, and make us feel welcomed and comfortable. I have Good Times at this restaurant!
I got the chicken fried steak and eggs and let me tell you it was the best chicken fried steak ever. It was crispy and so juicy on the inside. 10/10 recommend. Besides the food, the inside is very warm and cute. I love the cottage style vibe and the windows to see outside made me wanna sit there for hours if I could.
Rustic old building that has various rooms. Service is excellent. Food is very good. I had the eggs Benedict with hashbrowns. Was perfectly cooked. One of the better benedicts I've had. Cash or check only.
I hadn't been here for some time, but am so glad to have returned! I had the Italian Stallion omelet, and will go back to have it again (I knew after the first bite!).
Can tell you how much we enjoyed our breakfast here. First of all the food was amazing. Eggs Benedict was on point. The French Toast was absolutely delicious. The Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The Omelets were full of great flavor and to top it off the Huevos Rancheros was an abundant plate of goodness. Best of all was the customer service and the friendly Locals. The customer service was nothing less than amazing. She was definitely the best and most authentic person we've met on all of our travels. We also had the pleasure of meeting a local gentleman by the name of Budzilla that was the highlight of the whole day. If you ever have the chance to visit them you will not be disappointed. I cannot give this place a higher reccomendation.
An amazing cafe!! Stopped here after camping in Henry Cowell for my best friends birthday. Samantha was our server. She was amazing and super personable. Even caught a wasp for us that was bugging us. We’re from the Monterey area but will definitely return for the amazing service!
A wonderful, small mountain town restaurant with great food for a good price. I went for breakfast and had their chicken fried steak with eggs. It was the best CFS I have had in quiet awhile. It would be more convenient if they accepted credit cards but luckily I came prepared thanks to other reviews.
Great local restaurant. Delicious breakfast. We had the California omelette, greek breakfast scramble and spinach and mushroom scramble. Hashbrowns were quite nice. Gluten free pancakes. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.
The food here is fantastic! Huge portions of homemade and mouth watering food. The staff was very friendly from the time I walked in. Quaint little off the road cafe with outside seating available. Dog friendly. Very affordable as well. Cash or check only but they do have an ATM available. If you're in the area you must stop in and give it a try.
My spouse & I spent a week camping nearby. We ate breakfast at this cafe 3x that week. We had been there a few years ago, and loved it. Well, the cafe still serves delicous food! We received great service too! Malcolm was our waiter a couple of times and he was great! Sam, another waitress, was so personable, bubbly and nice! We loved sitting at the same table and enjoyed all the staff. The eggs and bacon was cooked perfectly. We were apprehensive that this cafe wouldn't be as good as it was years ago, but it was. The only suggestions I have is 1) get real menus. They have photocopied menus and the photocopy is poor. It creates a negative appearance, and 2) they are suppose to be open everyday (per Google), but we arrived on a Wednesday and they were closed. So, that wasn't great. Either Google hasn't been updated or it was just closed for some other reason. Other than that, all is good.
Came from orange county. We got recommended by an event activity we did near by. We looked around and came to this place. Lady said no fast food chain. I got a burger as you see and boy come check it out. Give it a 8/10 on burger. Lady got toast but before I took photo she destroyed it. Also got a mini tour of place. Their doing recyclable plates so don't expect fancy.. come for the view and smell of pine tree.
If you are looking for a Great place to have Breakfast, this place was AMAZING! Great Service. Such nice weather, we chose to eat outside. I had the Eggs Benedict. My Fiance had Chicken Fried steak. Only thing is they take cash only, if your like us and didn’t know u can run across the street and use the atm. We will eat here again for sure!
Beautiful ambiance and experience with nice staff and great food. Needed to get some work done and have a nice breakfast and coffee and this was the perfect place. Waitresses were both very nice and accommodating while we took our time having breakfast. Love the cozy wood interior and big windows.
We had lunch there today. The waitress was friendly and excellent. I had a perfect chorizo scramble; not dried out and just the right level of spicy-ness. The home fries were also no dried out and very tasty. My wife had an excellent turkey sandwich with big, thick slabs of turkey. It was a sunny morning so we were able to sit outside on the porch. Highly recommended.
A Wonderful place to eat in Scotts Valley. We wanted a non-traditional local restaurant for breakfast. Easy to find, nestled among the trees, this restaurant is a great place to get breakfast. The parking lot is a little on the small side. There is seating both inside and outside (on a patio). On the day we visited it was a little cold so we ate inside. There was a hostess and we were seated immediately. The part that we sat in looked to be a converted porch to an inside space. I t had a bench around the outside wall with tables in front and seats opposite the bench. The people at both tables adjacent to ours were very friendly. The waitress came and took our order immediately. I ordered eggs and bacon. The plate that came out was enough for 2 meals. The food was hot and delicious. The price was reasonable. I highly recommend this place for people in the area.
twas yummy :3 had the "redneck benny" which is an eggs benedict with sausage pattys instead of bacon, and topped with an amazing gravy with bits of stuffing in it~~😋😋 u also have a choice between house fries and hashbrowns (i chose hashbrowns and they were nice and light on the stomach [i often struggle with hashbrowns when theyre too greasy, but this one was just right]) it came out to be 15.81 including tax i got a small stomach so i ate the hashbrowns and half the benny, and saved the rest of the benny as leftovers to eat later, as i was on a roadtrip. i ate it the night of the next day and it was still yummy and didnt upset my stomach or anytimg :3🤙🏻 (i wrapped the to-go box in a paper bag sealed w a rubberband and then put that inside a plastic grocery bag, and kept it in shaded areas of the car. i saved leftovers many times like this and i was able to enjoy all my leftovers at later points on my trip)

Great breakfast place! Pancakes are big and fluffy. Several specialty Benedict dishes. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious.
A funky 70’s place with quirky service, good food and lots of wood. We will happily return when we are in Felton again. Seems like a local favorite on Sunday morning.
If you’re looking for an authentic mountain vibe with truly homemade food, this is the spot. Charming atmosphere, warm staff, and consistently great breakfast. I rarely eat breakfast out—but when I do, this is my go-to.
Huevos Rancheros...the best anywhere I have tried in my life. Rocky's is literally high quality food. The cook's care about what they put out...and it shows. I love this place. It's cozy and a nice place to take in the atmosphere. The only thing that would put Rocky's over the top is if they lit the fireplace on cold mornings. All in all Rocky's is a hit.

A locally owned cafe in San Lorenzo Valley. Be aware, they are cash only. If you forget your cash they DO have an ATM, however, you will be paying the ATM fee. Their prices are very reasonable, and the food is substantial. The staff is friendly and for us, were attentive, E.G. refilled the coffee without having to ask. Since it is a local favorite, there can be a wait, however, we have always been lucky and not had to wait.
does the name has changed, this is practically the exact same experience that one would have had when it was Dale's diner, 30 years ago. a real blast from the past. and it's still cash only, just like long ago! good size servings and fast service.
Loved the spot. Food was good. I was shocked to be informed at the end of service that they are cash only. No signage that I couldn’t find anywhere but we were informed they have an atm on sight.
The food LOOKED good but lacked much flavor (my perspective, of course). Good coffee, though somewhat weak. Nice location, solicitous family-run restaurant. 😊
While on vacation, we found Rocky's Cafe through a Google search on maps. Stopped in for lunch, but got some breakfast options. Pros: loved the vibe of restaurant, friendly and attentive staff, food was good, prices decent. Cons: cash or check only (but ATM available), not a huge selection for lunch options (breakfast definitely has more options), food was good (nothing wow factor, that we tried, to set it apart from any other typical breakfast cafe). That being said, I would come again to try something different from the menu.
It is a nice place run by a family, they are cash only. The food is okay, it is very basic. I liked it but not for the food
CASH ONLY……….. (ATM) on premises. Had the breakfast. Taste is about average with portion size above average. Cost is very reasonable for the area. This an older style building with outside seating. Inside seating also available. Parking lot can be congested and entry road is a tight squeeze for two vehicles. I recommend it.
We had the cheeseburger with salad and the patty melt with home fries. Very generous portions. Food was good not great. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Neat location with outdoor seating.
Parking is very limited especially on weekends and during popular dining times. Cash or check only, no credit or debit cards but there is an ATM on site. They ran out of onion rings by noon. Customer service is excellent, great food!

Excellent breakfast! Truly fluffy buttermilk pancakes, fluffy scrambled eggs, and lovely crisp bacon. Even the coffee was good!

Service was a bit slow. Scrambles are bland. Parking was impossible. Didn't mind the warm cabin feel of the restaurant. Convenient location after hiking. Being early is definitely beneficial.
I wish they would have let us know they only take cash or check prior us placing our order, on these days most us pay either via credit or some sort of it, also the food on a scale from 1-10, I would give it a 4+ i order a simple cheeseburger and the meat patty was so small that the meal was mostly bread and tomatoes, not to mention we had to send the salad back since it was made from very low quality items. Love the environment, however the food needed more attention to detail to make it a memorable meal.

Felt like an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. What didn't go wrong? Rude manager Confused waitstaff Paper menus stapled together Waitress spilled water all over the table Didnt have food from the menu in stock (Beer and French Dip) Served a salad without dressing Served the couple next to me a double order of pancakes by mistake Forgot the extra avocado we ordered 3 times Brought incorrect bills to our table and the table next to us Pretty impressed by this place. We could have gone anywhere and had a nice meal, but this was an experience.
