I just want to say I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Its our first time here and the next we will visit Fishkill my mum and I will surely come here again. The food are so delicious. The soup was really good. I ordered Lobster ravioli and ohh gushh those was so good and sauce was so good i dont like mushrooms but i ate it because of the sauce. My mum had Shrimp Diavolo and it was so good too its a little bit spicy but good. Melinda our waitress is so nice, the owner is so nice too. He came to our table and greeted my mum a happy birthday since I told them that its my mum birthday when i reserved the table. The place is clean and so nice inside. Ohh their bread is good too. We will surely come back here because of this experience.

Find My Food Stu

Finally got around to trying Sotano. Great ambiance inside an old house and good outdoor seating. Was pleasantly surprised. Food was good and prices were quite reasonable for the quality. Service was also very friendly. Lamb shank was good and the chicken Milanese had avocado, fresh mozzarella, and a balsamic drizzle in addition to the common tomatoes as arugula on top. Looking forward to trying their brunch to.

This is the first time we visited the place. And boy! It was amazing! The food was great. The atmosphere was even greater. I had the Sotano Burger. The dried aged beef gave that rich flavour. Our friends had the chicken and the mussel. It was good even the water and wine. Inside they have the bar wih the ceiling beam exposed. I find it to be interesting design. The owner of the restaurant came out to greet us and the waitress was even nicer. I definitely recommend this place and will surely come back again for others on the menu. Excellent experience!

Sotano continues to be one of our favorite spots. The restaurant was packed, which is always a great sign, and the energy was lively without feeling overwhelming. Our server, Alejandra, was outstanding. She was attentive, anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and made sure everything flowed smoothly despite how busy the evening was. Her professionalism and warmth truly elevated the experience. The food, service, and atmosphere once again delivered. If you’re looking for a place that combines great flavors with excellent hospitality, Sotano is well worth the visit.

I have given this restaurant 4 stars instead of 5 because the server never checked my table of 2 to see if we needed anything else and or if the food was good. He walked by out table several times and was extremely focused on the birthday party of 11 people in the back. The only person who checked on my table of two was the owner. A tab of $77 for 2 people the service could be a lot better especially since this restaurant was not packed. The food, drinks and atmosphere were phenomenal!

Sotanos was really good. Calamari app. was good. The Mediterranean Sea Bass entree was delicious. Seafood risotto was okay. Seafood on it was good but the risotto was not well done. That was the only negative. We'd go back. The menu has many interesting looking dishes that sound delicious. The place itself is a very pretty house and the dining areas are lovely!

Fishkill has surprised me again. This gem of a wonderful place right on Main Street is nothing short of amazing. Cozy with friendly staff. The menu was diverse tho most dishes were tomato based. I had the scallops and I must say that it was done right. The crab cake could have been better as there was a lot of filling. The lobster and crab bisque was ok. I chose to say ok because it was tasty however I’m used to chunks of meat in my bisque

I have visited this restaurant twice. That is a positive sign by itself. Sotanos is located on Main Street in Fishkill, NY. The area is easy to get to as it it right off of I 84 and Route 9, a major thoroughfare. There is ample parking in the back of this white, quaint, vintage house turned into an eatery. That's a good thing because at peak hours, there is no Street parking to be found. You will be greated immediately upon arrival and seated in one of the dining areas to the left OR at the small bar to your right. We ordered fried calamari and shrimp 🍤 wrapped in bacon 🥓 as appetizers. A universal truth is that bacon makes everything taste better! Both were tasty and devoured so fast that I forgot to take pretty, unmolested pictures of them. You will notice immediately that the portions here are adequate, so you do not feel robbed, but unless you had gastro surgery, there will not be a lot of take out boxes clogging up your refrigerator You get JUST enough with lots of sauce to trick the 👀 eyes into thinking 🤔 the plates 🍽 are loaded. The main courses ordered were a fillet mignon with scallops and a "crispy" duck that was not crispy at all. Reportedly, the duck was delicious, but the crispy description was on the menu. The steak was a good grade, tender, and prepared to my liking. The scallops were some of the best 👌 that I ever had. As you can see in the picture, you don't get many of them. Gelato as a desert is my recommendation. The service was excellent. I like the non rushed eating experience on well spaced tables on beautiful, 100 year old broad plank floors. The bathroom was clean. I can see a pretty good wait for this room if the place is crowded. If memory serves me, it is a single use bathroom. It's a VERY nice place to go for a delicious meal, perhaps for a special occasion. I would and will absolutely visit again unless I can find a comparable restaurant with slightly larger portions for the price. Sotanos is a wonderful experience although not a great value. Your mileage may vary. Enjoy!

Went for mother's day celebration, which I know is the busiest day of the year. The food was good, but not exceptional. The drinks were very good. They're was a long wait for the food, but it was mother's day, so that was too be expected. The burrata was delicious. The oysters were small and not sweet at all. We did not have dessert, but the table ordered the frutte di mare(too much heat), scallops( overcooked but very tasty), sea bass( very good), salmon( excellent), surf and turf( average/standard), veal chops(excellent). I would rather go up the street to il foglio enoteca, which is very similar but the food is exceptional.

Delicious and a must eat if you’re in Fishkill! Food 5/5 Every plate was on point! Even the free bread was like a tomato enriched dough bread. The sotano salad is the perfect blend of sweet, crisps and savory. Must order! The calamari is crispy, well seasoned and not greasy. I also loved my lamb shank Ambiance 5/5 Dim lighting, great romantic music, perfect for a date night. Service 4/5 Wait staff and owner was very attentive, friendly and helpful. Everyone was wearing a mask. Only reason I gave a 4 stars was because I managed to sneak a peek into the kitchen and the kitchen staff was not wearing a mask whilst preparing food. Got me a little anxious. indoor and outdoor dining available. table are arranged to physical distance.

I have heard good things about Sotano come up and honestly I was a bit disappointed. I eat out a lot and have expectations of a place that is supposed to be fine dining. Firstly, we had a reservation but there was a bit of weirdness when we came in when the nice hostess was seating us the man insisted on checking that we actually did have a reservation. It's not like we dressed like bums or anything, I suspect he had his reasons, but it was awkward. The service was otherwise lovely. However, each meal disappointed me. The oysters were Blue point and they were literally tasteless. I think it's time to switch it up perhaps. There are so many varieties of oysters out there. I had calamari and I felt that it was a little bit undercooked and quite chewy. I also had the sotano salad and it was unexciting and bland. My husband had the lamb shank and he did like it, but was disappointed with everything else. Regardless, it's a nice place if you are not expecting food that is carefully cooked so that it is at its tastiest. A party of four came to a bill of $300, which was expected. However, I also expected the food to reflect the pricing.
