Such a beautiful spot. All food comes from their garden. One recommendation is to add more signage. Hard to find

The service was great. However, I will never order the French toast again. It was doughy. I didn't like it at all. But will go again to try a different dish.

I had a wonderful experience at Farmers Commons for dinner over the weekend. Elegant and trendy - Farmers Commons is located on-property at the Vineyard at Florence. Make a reservation and come early to enjoy a glass of wine from the vineyard tasting room. Sit outside and relax while taking in views of the vineyard. We don’t normally order Zinfandel but quite enjoyed it here and will definitely get it again. The menu at the restaurant has an inviting variety of farm- sourced options including pizza, fried green tomatoes, and seasonal meat and fish options. We had the crispy skin salmon in a flavorful curry sauce accompanied by crab and shrimp Mac n cheese. The ricotta and honey appetizer was delectable and the specialty cocktails were expertly prepared. The apple moonshine was so delicious. It may be a drive but Farmers Commons is definitely worth it.

Unbelievable service and food. I cannot stress enough how incredible this place is. Come for brunch, have a cocktail with your chicken and waffles. Take a walk around the grounds. Order a bottle of wine and sit on the patio. If that doesn't rejuvenate you for Monday, nothing will.

We had an amazing dinner at Farmers Commons. The food was great, the wine was delicious, and the service was AMAZING! Shout out to Marisol and the entire staff for making tonight such a pleasant evening. We look forward to visiting again!

Beautiful setting, delicious menu, and friendliest service. Went for brunch and had the Gardenier salad- soo good with fresh ingredients from their garden. Can't skip the smoked candied bacon brought out with a cool, smoky presentation and lavender honey. The burger and chx & waffles were also 🤌

Georgia was amazing! We would come back just to get to have her be our server again. She was so helpful and personable, couldn’t have asked for better. We had burgers and the meat pizza, everything was so delicious. The Tempranillo was especially good; I had to buy a bottle. The restaurant is just beautiful as well. 10/10 would recommend and request Georgia if you do go :)

Farmers Commons is not very common. The food is upscale and "exceptional flavors" that are definitely not common. We ordered the stuffed crescent and the burger. On bite of the stuffed crescent and there were sounds for delight because you can’t talk because all you want to do is keep eating. I don’t have the words to describe the flavors, you must experience it. The same with the burger. Now with the burger I'm traditional, this burger was not. It had a complement of things on it that I normally dont like, However, this was among the best burgers I've ever had, and may in fact be the absolute best. And the meat was much more flavorful than other burgers. The only negative that I could say and it’s not really a negative is that the food was served with an aïoli sauce on the side. I would suggest skipping it. The flavors of the food does not need anything else. Oh, and I also not big on tater tots, well you must try theirs, again, not your common tater tots. This is a MUST GO!!! Its a little drive from the Austin Metro, out in the country, but well worth it. You must go. BTW - the picture cant convey the Flavors - Very Uncommon. And there is more on the property then the restaurant. Check it out.....

Tonight we went to Farmers Commons and it was one of the best dining experiences that we have ever had. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was perfect for our date night. My boyfriend had the best old fashion he has ever had and the meatball appetizer reminded me of my dads homemade meatballs and sauce. Today was only day two of them being open and they are already off to a fantastic start. We will definitely be back frequently and can’t wait to see what new and tasty creations they come up with!

Perfect evening and dinning experience. Was so relaxing and enjoyable … first the location and dinning area was so cute and comfortable … the service was excellent and truely perfect … the food was amazing … highly recommend and will be back!

I absolutely loved this place. It is in the middle of nowhere but so worth the drive. The brunch menu was awesome, we had the loaded croissant & the breakfast all day pizza, delish! My friend had a Bloody Mary mock tail, another had a mimosa and I had a Pinot Grigio, all amazing. After brunch, we walked around the property, through their veggie garden and the tasting room. We plan on coming back for a wine tasting & dinner! Highly recommended! 🤩

Amazing staff, food & ambiance. Janae (I believe - hopefully not misspelt) was so incredible we had to request her the next day for brunch. The brie appetizer & filet were both insanely good. For brunch they made special accommodations for the croissant - using gluten free pizza dough. Will definitely be returning.

Tonight we went to Farmers Commons for the first time for my wife’s birthday and it was one of the best if not THE BEST experiences we’ve had at a destination. The place is just gorgeous and the staff is friendly and professional. Executive Chef Soraya Greeted us and made us feel so welcomed! The best part of it was the delicious food and drinks. We ordered a lot of food as we were eager to try the different dishes on the menu. The food was 100 y’all! We will be coming back to this place! It has risen to the top of our go-to places for a great night out..we will be booking our weekend stay at the Villas real soon. Thank you Farmers Commons for a great experience. As we say in Samoa, “makua seki a” 🤙🏽🤙🏽 Cheeeehooo.

Relaxing is an understatement! Very few places can you enjoy a quiet, relaxing vibe while enjoying a tasty farm to table meal. Farmers Commons is one of those places! From the hostess, to the wait staff to the chefs to the mixologist, it’s an experience worth embracing. We’ve been out several times but today we enjoyed a tasty birthday brunch, had an expresso Martini & Bloody Mary. The food was amazing! Served hot with a beautiful presentation by some of the friendliest staff. After brunch we enjoyed a great visit with close friends outside under the trees. Sipped some sangria & enjoyed the relaxing scenery. Highly recommended. There are outside games, swings, putting green, garden & fire pits. A beautiful relaxing experience! Thanks for making this birthday, one to remember!

I like it here. Very Napa Valley kind of Vibe. But with that Texas flair. Great Service. Amazing Ambience. It was nice to see People dressed up and enjoying the Formal Environment. This was a Saturday brunch for us. I had the Steak and Eggs. Had some inedible chewy grizzly pieces, and I am pretty sure their is a knife in the kitchen, that could of trimmed that before it was served to me (especially for the price paid)??? Had to spit those 2 pieces out as elegantly as possible into my Napkin. Never had this problem at KERBEY LANE Cafe, Monument Café, First Watch, etc. Chef? Whose job is it to inspect/trim/prepare, then Cook the Meat? The other components of my Meal were fine. My friends Veggie Garden Omelet was according to her, perfect. Her Bloody Mary doubled as an Appetizer it was loaded with Olives, Cheese, Bacon, yup, Bacon. My Vanilla Lattes were perfect. We overall enjoyed the experience. I just won’t order the Steak again. Nice place. Go here for an Upscale experience.

Crazy good is all I can say😋 The uncommon burger is akaushi chuck and brisket, deep beefy flavor, juicy and tender. Have to hunch to eat this burger. The meat ragout sauce is a bit tangy, very creamy and has plenty of Italian sausage. Sausage has the traditional Italian flavors, but very subtle and tender. The beef short rib is spoon tender, perfectly rendered fat with huge beefy flavor that falls apart and melts in you mouth. Absolutely crazy good. The truffle honey brussel sprouts are flash fried and addictive as crack, could not stop eating them. Their smoked old fashioned with cherry wood is legit, beautifully presented and sooooo smoooth, absolutely woit. Then to go totally over the top we had the flourless chocolate cake and red velvet cake. The chocolate cake was dense, not overly sweet and paired very well with the house malbec wine. The red velvet felt like velvet in your mouth. With the butter cream frosting it just melted in your mouth. Amazing dining experience and we didn't even make it to the tasting room. 5 star dining experience.

Wow, wow, wow! Chef Wesley and his staff, including his Pastry Chef Ruben and Bartender Josh, were amazing with their culinary concoctions and mixology. Everyone who helped our table was awesome and personable, even those who refilled our water. I recommend everything we had... first off, I was with my hubby and our close, long-time friends, there were 4 of us. We split every dish so we could all try each masterpiece because we are foodies and love to try everything. I recommend them all! Appetizers: Spinach Artichoke dip, Fried Green Tomatos with white BBQ sauce, Shakshuka Meatballs. Entree: Margarita Wood Fired Pizza the Toasted Ceasar salad with Grilled Chicken The chef even made us a little something off the menu that was too delicious. Dessert: Blueberry Panacotta, I am sorry I dont remember the names, a Peanutbutter mouse and chocolate pie, a strawberry and vanilla cake and and a chocolate dome with chocolate mouse inside... all were so amazing and mouth-watering. We all loved each one. Scharlina was our fantastic server. I can not forget to mention her and her spectacular service too. The bartender did a great job mixing our drinks and helping us decide what we wanted. 1000% we all will be returning and enjoying these fantastic foods and drinks. This place is top notch, and I know I didn't mention it yet... but the decor is sophisticated and rustic all at the same time. It is a great environment and atmosphere to enjoy such a wonderful dinner. We had brunch the next day too and again everything was fantastic! Thank you all for the wonderful weekend experience.

A delightful place to spend an afternoon. If you happen to be visiting the nearby Gault archeological site, this is the perfect place to stop for lunch. The grounds are beautiful, and if you’re up for it, you can play a game of chess outside on the lawn.

A beautiful place to have a meal, the service was great, the food was the downfall, so if you want a great looking place where the taste doesn't match the plating this place is for you, could possibly due to reservation a 3pm for brunch menu, but if you want to stop making fresh food after 2pm , just close at 2. You can clearly tell the chicken was dry and reheated and the shrimp from the chefs special was definitely reheated or over cooked since it was rubbery. The burger was cooked well done but asked for medium. Update.... 5/10/25 Had a fantastic brunch today the steak and eggs, the steak was on par with an expensive steak house steak, the chmichurri was amazing, I routinely make it at home. Everything from the food to service was perfect I am happy I came back.

Beef carpaccio, salad, chicken tenders, spinach artichoke dip, and uncommon burger. All were delicious! The staff at both the restaurant, Farmer's Common, and the winery, The Vineyard, were all very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Customer service was amazing at both venues! The Vineyard closes late on Saturday, but I'm not sure about other days.

Went to Farmers Common on a Friday night to celebrate a friends birthday. We had reservations and were seated immediately. We were promptly greeted by our server and we ordered drinks and an appetizer. I had an Old Fashioned and I have to say it was delicious! We had BBQ Bread for the table and I wish I had it all to myself it was so good! If you are a bread lover don’t pass this up! We all ordered and food was delivered quickly. I had the Alexis Pizza and it was awesome. My wife and my friend had the Farmers Uncommon Burger and they both enjoyed them very much. No room for dessert, the portions were plentiful. All in all, we had a great experience and enjoyed ourselves very much!

This place was absolutely breathtaking. The atmosphere was serene, and we had the pleasure of enjoying brunch outside on the covered patio, which offered stunning views that perfectly complemented the experience. The gentle breeze and cozy setting made it an ideal spot for a relaxing meal. We started with espresso martinis, which were rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced—a delightful way to begin the day. For appetizers, we chose the biscuits and bacon, both of which were excellent choices to share. The biscuits were buttery and flaky, while the bacon was cooked to perfection, offering a satisfying crunch and smoky flavor. For my main course, I opted for the chicken and waffles. While the dish was well-prepared, with crispy chicken and fluffy waffles, I found it to be slightly bland and in need of a little extra seasoning or a more flavorful sauce. That said, it was still enjoyable, and the overall experience was nothing short of wonderful. The combination of exceptional ambiance, great company, and mostly delicious food made for a memorable outing.

Amazing food and really good drinks. The beach bonfire was a very interesting drink, not a common tasting drink but very good. The marg pizza was amazing too just like everything else we got.

We just have lunch yesterday after our neighbor recommended the place. I’m so glad she did: we really loved the food. The place itself is really nice, very serene atmosphere. We ate on the cover patio. They have an other outdoor space that we will try next time we go in a few weeks. It has outdoor fire pit tables. My husband had the burger with truffle French fries and I had the croque monsieur with regular fries. He found the burger well cooked and very juicy. He really liked the addition of the fried green tomato. I loved my croque monsieur: it was just the way we have it in France in any cafe with the sauce on top. We really loved the food and atmosphere that we decided to come back and spend the night at the vineyard for Father’s Day in a few weeks so we can try some other dishes they have on their dinner menu and their brunch. Our waiter Ethan was very helpful with wine and food recommendations: my husband really liked the wine Ethan had suggested. He even had him taste 2 other wines. When we told him we had just booked a suite so we could come back for dinner, he recommended the octopus so we are looking forward to trying it in a few weeks. I really want to try the truffle pizza. They have a nice big pizza oven and bbq grill outside. They also have a cute garden with raised beds. Love the farm to table concept. We live about one hour away and really worth driving there. Can’t wait to come back!!!

We ate 2 meals here (dinner and brunch) while staying overnight at the Vineyard at Florence. Due to cooler weather, we ate inside both times, though there is a nice patio with great views in warmer weather. Our servers both times were extremely nice and helpful though it was slow at times. Dinner was delicious: we tried the lasagna, truffle mac n cheese, cornbread and more. Brunch was amazing: our daughter loved the chicken and waffles. The bacon with dipping sauces was phenomenal and the croque monsieur was one of the best I've had and it was a slightly different take than I was used to. The decor and ambience of the restaurant is very nice and beautiful. Would definitely recommend trying out this restaurant.

The Farmers Common is located in. The Vineyard at Florence in Florence TX. They are open 7 days a week and serve brunch, lunch and dinner. Went this morning, served by Tyler, exceptional young man and great waiter. Had the Buttermilk biscuits for the table...delectable and the Farmers Florentine with a side of bacon..a side is 5 pieces..be careful when you order. The bacon was tender..not crispy. If you want it crispy, ask. Everything was amazing, the food exceptional and the ambiance is to die for...very relaxing. Great nature looks outside and its a vineyard. Crystal toured us after the meal to look at the Multipurpose rooms they have available. Crystal was absolutely a charm. Because of these two we will be back

My mom and I absolutely loved this place. First time visiting for both of us. We visited last night, driving from Pflugerville, for Thanksgiving Eve dinner. Atmosphere and Food — easy 10/10. Getting a seat — ehh, that took 15 minutes with no one in sight. My mom and I decided to step outside and take a couple of pics before heading back inside to wait a few more minutes til a hostess came around. Like I mentioned, food was top-notch. Waitress did let my water glass go empty 15 minutes before my mom and I left. Definitely would have preferred more. She actually didn’t refill either of our glasses once.. they’re not big glasses. Other than those two minor things, perfect experience.

Went here for a friend’s birthday party and it was an amazing time. The inside and outside is as beautiful if not better than the photos online. Went on a perfect Spring day so we were able to enjoy lunch inside and then go outside for a wine flight. Only thing that wasn’t that great was the food. It was good but everything tasted overly salted.

J

Very nice restaurant. I had the salmon (one of my favourite dishes) and this ranks in my top 3 ever. I also had the chocolate passion dessert which was delicious. The Somme was nice and extremely professional. The waitresses could use a bit more training to correspond with the high caliber restaurant (not proper to server across your guest faces). We also tried the tasting room which was good. Facility has a venue to hold events and a hotel where you can stay. Very nice overall

We visited Farmers Commons on a Saturday afternoon. We were there during brunch hours, and everything we ate was absolutely delicious. We started with the whipped ricotta. Who doesn’t want a fluffy cloud f cheese drizzled in honey and truffle oil?! Soooo good! I got the avocado toast, which also comes with whipped ricotta, so if you don’t do the appetizer, you still get to try it. My husband got the burger & he said it is one of the best burgers he’s ever eaten. That’s pretty high praise. It was big, juicy & it’s served with a fried green tomato on top. Yum!! It’s a beautiful space in a gorgeous setting. It’s a cool location to go have brunch/lunch/dinner with friends or on a date. You can spend an entire afternoon/evening enjoying the space & wine tasting. The outdoor space is lovely & comfortable. The indoor space is very comfortable with a fireplace. I would highly recommend going with people you love the most. It’s the kind of place you want to share with your favorite people.

Farmers Only is a top-notch restaurant with delicious food and amazing drinks. Whether you're stopping in for brunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed. The burger is definitely a must-try. It's cooked to perfection and comes with crispy tots. They have a wide variety of cocktails, and the "That's My Jam" drink is absolutely amazing. It's a perfect balance of sweet and tart, and it goes down way too easily. Trust me, you'll want to order at least two of these bad boys. My only gripe about this place is that they could have more gluten free options. While they do have some great gluten free alterations like gluten free bread buns, a lot of their other menu items aren't able to be made for someone with allergies/sensitivities.

I've been wanting to try this place and finally got to go. We did not have a reservation but Anne Vires, Head of Reservations, was gracious and offered us several options to dine. We selected the bar, where we were able to watch the kitchen prepare and serve the delicious dishes and drinks. Many times we were like "Ooh! What was that?" and our delightful servers, Alaina and Josh, were happy to tell us all about the dish in question. The restaurant is beautiful, food and drinks delicious and the staff was attentive and friendly. Will definitely return to this gem in the country!

We were very disappointed with the food. Numerous items of our choice were unavailable. The French Onion soup had no taste whatsoever and the omelet as well. The wine list, for a winery, was pretty sparse and overall the intended birthday celebration left us eating again when we arrived home. Excellent and beautiful location and friendly staff. They just need to work on the food. Update: We gave this place another try tonight (05-06-23). We were extremely impressed by the improvement from our last visit. The menu items were available and were quite good. The Kobe burger was juicy, bread was excellent and the fries were perfect. The halibut was very good as well and we even had a pizza for an appetizer which was excellent too. I will say that the atmosphere and relaxing view of the vineyard and fields gives it a unique appeal and wonderful change from the rush of city restaurants. And I’m happen to say that the food this time met the expectations of the beautiful surroundings. I’m very glad that we gave it another try. It was definitely worth the trip back.

My husband and I found this place while driving around the beautiful backroads of Florence and have completely fallen in love! We have dined here 3 or 4 times now and our last experience was exceptional. I brought our friends here for a birthday dinner to celebrate and Robin was our waitress. She was 100/10 amazing! She was so knowledgeable about the menu and wine selections, as well as the property itself! Robin was so charismatic and sweet and made the experience for me and my guests even better than expected! Thank you Robin!!

We had an exceptional brunch at Farmers Commons. I feared it might be a little too far away but the drive was relaxing and there was no traffic. We had a nice table on the back patio where there was a good breeze. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The servers were well beyond average and did little things I had not seen anywhere I have eaten in a very long time. The food was very well prepared and high quality. My wife had the salmon, I had a stuffed croissant and the butternut squash soup (which should not be missed). For the atmosphere, service, and tasty food I was pleasantly surprised when the bill came. We will definitely be back to this gem in Florence. Thank you Farmers Commons for reminding us why we seek out new places and like to go out for a nice meal.

We enjoyed our visit for brunch. The staff was warm and welcoming. Our server was excellent and the food was spectacular. The cocktails were expertly made. I had the espresso martini and my husband had the spicy tequila drink with jalapeños. A must try for the brunch is the chicken and waffles. We love the atmosphere and this is a great place for wine and relaxation as well. Check it out, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

First time to the Vineyard at Florence and it was what we needed, a relaxed time away from town. My wife and I had a glass of wine on the patio and decided to have dinner at Farmers Commons. We walked in with no reservations and sat at the bar. Very cool experience since the bar is open to the kitchen and all the action. You can watch your pizza being cooked in a brick oven or your steak grilled over an open flame. It's a farm to table concept with a nice garden out back you can walk through. (The fried green tomatoes were very good!) Marisol & Josh were our bartenders, they took great care of us and made it an enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back to explore more, but keep it a secret, we don't want it getting crowded.

Had a beautiful table for 6 on the patio. Service was top notch and the food was so fresh and just beautiful. Great portions. We all had cocktails which were great. We come pretty often, but our guests experienced it for the first time and just loved it. Highly recommend Farmers Commons at the Vineyard at Florence for exceptional food, wine, service and atmosphere.

It was a wonderful trip! Great staff and great food. I suggest the honey ricotta and the loaded croissant. The whole Villa was beautiful and the wine tasty. The staff was attentive and kind. Only note was the music was too relaxing lol. They had us so relaxed, we almost fell asleep! Sharina and Justin were amazing!!!!!! All in all can't wait to go back.

We love this place! The staff is always great at Farmers Commons and Vineyards at Florence! We've tried the French toast, biscuits and gravy (no longer have), shakshuka meatballs, Alexis pizza, Farmers uncommon burger with tots (the tots!!!), croissant breakfast sandwich...literally all SO AMAZINGLY GOOD!! Have also tried the Rancher's sip (ranch water type drink) and it's delicious! We try something new each time...love this place for a great atmosphere and elevated food and drinks! The great staff also has us coming back for sure!

My family and I had dinner here tonight and it was wonderful. The staff, food, wine, and overall experience were absolutely spot on 10/10. The Chef and his team provide a delicious dining experience I cant wait to go back and try more. The fish of the day and the butchers cut were perfectly cooked. My dad usually drowns his steaks in A1 and salt, this one was gone in two seconds without a drop of added seasoning. We also tried the orzo and the shrimp mac and cheese. If you are a mushroom person you MUST try the orzo, the texture and taste were perfect. The pasta in the shrimp mac was also the perfect texture. The truffle fries were hot and crispy and the spinach artichoke dip was super luscious and rich. The front of house staff and servers were all so sweet and accommodating and the attention to detail and preferences was super appreciated. The restaurant itself and the property are stunning. I cant wait to go back and take pictures lol we just ate everything too fast this time haha.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The waitresses were polite and helpful. The drinks were good. Spicy Bloody Mary. Fresh and beautiful bubbly spritzer. The waffle was dry but the accompanying sage chicken was delicious. The French toast was innovative and delicious. Outside in the back we played yard chess and cornhole. The view was amazing.

We made this reservation last minute wanting to try something new near us. The restaurant is 20 minutes from our Georgetown home. We loved the style, the interior and the open kitchen! We sat at the bar and Yanique took care of us. She makes a mean cocktail! :) The kitchen staff and the wait staff obviously have a great relationship. They have fun and it shows in the food and the way they treat the guests! Everything we had was amazing! There are small touches to each dish that elevate them to the next level. We can't wait to go back and try brunch!

From the moment I stepped into Farmers Commons, I knew I was in for something special. The warm, inviting atmosphere immediately put me at ease, and the staff greeted me with genuine smiles and unmatched hospitality. Every detail of this place exudes thoughtfulness, from the cozy decor to the perfectly curated menu. The food? Absolutely divine. Every bite felt like a celebration—flavors so vibrant and well-balanced, it was as though they were performing a symphony on my palate. Dish after dish, I found it impossible to stop eating, savoring each carefully crafted element. It’s rare to find a place where both the ambiance and the cuisine excel to such a level, but Farmers Commons has mastered this balance. This isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience I can’t wait to have again. I see myself becoming a regular here because it’s not just about the meal—it’s about how this place makes you feel. Thank you, Farmers Commons, for setting the bar so high. See you soon!

Many places in central Texas claim to elevate the food. This place serves familiar dishes that haven't been imbelished beyond recognition, but have been prepared extremely well, and truly exceeded our expectations. Great cocktails, excellent starters, dinner, sides and deserts. Very good service, even though it was a packed house. We'll be back!

We drove out from Austin and it was closer/quicker than expected. The restaurant was great, food was spectacular. We had the friend green tomatoes and the estate honey whip ricotta for starters - the honeyed ricotta was amazing. For main course we shared the shakshuka meatballs and mushroom melt - both were great, the melt in particular was fantastic. Tried several local wines which were also great! Will go again.

🍷 Farmers Commons feels like dining at a chic vineyard estate — elegant, inviting, and full of warmth. The Honey Ricotta with Sourdough Bread was a standout starter, creamy and perfectly balanced with honey. The Butternut Squash and French Onion Soups were cozy and flavorful, and every pizza impressed — especially the Margherita and Prosciutto. The Pappardelle with Cabernet-Braised Short Ribs was tender and rich, while the Chicken and Orzo offered a lighter finish. A beautiful mix of comfort, creativity, and vineyard charm — we can’t wait to return! 🍇✨

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Farmers Commons on a recommendation from friends. It was lovely. Tyler our server was fantastic and we loved the food and atmosphere of the entire venue. Definitely worth returning for a special occasion. Thank you for a lovely evening we truly appreciated it

Came with my family for Thanksgiving brunch and it’s absolutely gorgeous inside and out. Service was excellent and food/drinks were just as good. Manager/Owner was great ; she came to the table to chat with us. Classy classy ❤️ The ONLY thing that was less than perfect was the temperature… It was really cold as we were seated near the front door in November. But it’s a beautiful place I’ll be coming back to soon!!!

Stopped by on Dec 9th for dinner. The pizza was excellent, the salmon was cooked to perfection! Destinee our server was outstanding. She was attentive and didnt miss a beat on service. We will definitely be back!

Food was great, service was ok! It took a while to get our drinks, they didn’t come out together. I thought that the croissant sandwich should have come with some kind of side, ie fruit or fries. We made a reservation for the only time that was available but the restaurant seemed empty. I would have rather experienced the wine tasting first then enjoyed lunch.

Had the bbq butter bread, corn rib-lets, truffle pizza and the butcher’s cut. The veggies they grew from the garden. The tomatoes and broccolini were so sweet. I would skip the bbq butter bread. I thought it was too dense. The pizza dough was good and had a nice chew but thought the topping needed a little salt. Steak was good. Staff were very attentive which I thought they lacked at the winery next to the restaurant.

Love The Vineyard, beautiful decor, friendly staff... My husband asked a manager ahead of our reservation to see what would be Vegan. Ask for the Vegan Rissoto (It's an Off-Menu Delight.) Only problem... My Jardine Salad, Vegan with an Oil & Vinegar & Dressing, had a stray piece of chicken in it! Luckily, the staff did offer another salad, but we declined so they of course, removed the salad from our bill... Other than that... everything was delicious. The Texas Two-Step Cocktail tasted like the Best Frozen Margarita I've ever had!

Loved the atmosphere. The burger was phenomenal and so were the fries. Then wine was tasty but could have used more of a description on the menu. The service was lacking, took forever for the waitress to come back multiple times. There’s also not much of a clear direction of where to go or what to do when you show up. No signs or anything. We ended up going into multiple closed buildings because there’s no way to know what’s going on. Over all still a great place that’s very breezy with a lot of outdoor seating.

Lovely atmosphere and quality food—perfect for any occasion I really enjoy this restaurant—what stands out most is the overall vibe and atmosphere. From the moment you arrive, the experience feels elevated. The entrance and driveway are grand, setting the tone even before you walk in. The space is part of a larger property that includes suites for overnight stays and a tasting room, which adds to its charm. Staff is welcoming and polite, and during weekdays, the pace is relaxed with no wait to be seated or served. Weekends, however, tend to get fully booked. During a recent special occasion, we waited 5–10 minutes before anyone approached us, and we had to ask for water and someone to take our order—which was a bit disappointing. The food is flavorful, and ingredients feel clean and fresh. One detail that could be improved is the pacing of courses. My soup arrived alongside my main dish, which made the table feel cramped—especially after ordering several appetizers—and caused the main to cool down before I could enjoy it. Portions are generous, and the menu offers a nice range—from casual bites to more refined dishes. On a weekday visit, I was served bottomless wine that was unfortunately flat. It came in a bottomless-style glass with a casual printed message, which didn’t match the overall experience. Luckily, they replaced it with a proper wine glass and regular wine. On the weekend, some beers were unavailable, but the wine I had was very good. I don’t recall much about the music, which is probably a plus—it was quiet enough to have conversations with family around a large round table. One thing that stood out (and not in a good way) was the presence of quite a few flies, both inside and out. That’s something I hope they address. I love that the kitchen is fully open—you can see the talented team preparing dishes with care. While the service isn’t overly warm or personalized, everyone is respectful and professional. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot—versatile enough for casual meals or special celebrations. I’ll definitely return.

Stayed at the Vineyard and had several wonderful meals here. The staff is phenomenal! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, and you really get a sense that they function as a team. Of the many food and beverage options we tried over our weekend stay, there was not one we didn’t enjoy (strong recommendation for The truffle tots)! And, the atmosphere of the winery is truly breathtaking. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because they have some work to do in figuring out how to manage the large crowds that show up for special events. It was musical bingo on the lawn one night, and we were told when checking in for our reservation (booked months in advance) that the kitchen was running over an hour behind. Thankfully, we just enjoyed the atmosphere and had a drink while we waited - so it was fine! But, I did notice many unhappy diners as the staff tried their best (but failed) to manage the demands of the large crowd. Our other meals had no such problems, because they were not dealing with such an enormous (and clearly un-planned for) crowd. I have no doubt that they will figure out how to make some changes to improve such events.

Decided to hit the Farmers Commons for brunch after a recommendation from a friend. We were so excited looking at the menu that we tried more than one entree but it was well worth the belt bulge. The food was great and so was the staff. I think it was Josh that took care of us. The mimosas were great but we ate too much to drink more than one. We tested this place out for a possible group outing and we will be bringing the crew back in the spring for sure!! We will be ordering less food next time but I think we have found some early favorites. The loaded croissant and the omelet were big hits!! Going to try something different next time but so far we have a brunch spot to be regulars at!

Located in what would be appear to be the middle of nowhere, Farmer's Commons is an adorable spot to check out and grab a bite. We made reservations on a Sunday and highly recommend not coming in without one ! SERVICE : (3/5) A bit wonky. As others stated, it's a bit of a free for all with serving and hosting. When we first walked in, no one was up front , then someone helped us and he stepped away. Then 2-3 other employees came up to us a bit confused. Our server forgot to bring us small things - like our drinks, etc on multiple occasions. I guess there was an issue with other customers and it was gossiped about by the entire staff during our time there. FOOD (5/5) : what they lacked in service is absolutely made up by their food. We started off with the biscuits which were absolutely delicious . The orange butter was amazing. For entrees, we got the Uncommon Burger and Alaska Croissant. Both were perfection . All in all, if you have the patience to tolerate an interesting service experience so you can have a delicious meal, worth stopping by

The restaurant has great atmosphere and is decorated beautifully, and the food was delicious. I had the eggs Benedict, my grandson had the Alaska salmon sandwich on a croissant, my daughter the Uncommon Burger, and my husband the French toast. However, I was disappointed with the service. Although we had a reservation, they placed my family and I right next to the exit, so every time staff went outside (about half a dozen times) to wait on those sitting outside, we got blasted with wind. They could have given us any table, since the restaurant had few patrons there when we arrived and lots of open tables, but from my perspective, they gave us the worst, which should probably have been offered to patrons at the last once the restaurant was full. Further our server didn’t come back to check on us or ask us if we needed anything until we were finished with our meal and ready for our check. Not she or anyone else there at the restaurant ever refilled our water and my husband had to ask the person who dropped off our food to refill his coffee. My husband is kind and left a tip, because all of our kids have worked in the restaurant industry at one time or another, but had I been paying the bill, I wouldn’t have given her a tip, and I would have written on the receipt “lousy service” not because I’m unkind, but because it was lousy service. Lastly, my husband is a disabled veteran and currently has a fractured knee cap. When we parked in the handicap parking, we were asked to move our car because of the market setting up, which left the facility with no handicap parking and nowhere close to park for one with mobility limitations. I hope they get these issues resolved, because it is a beautiful restaurant, in a lovely country setting, with great food.

The food was good. I ordered a croissant sandwich. The service was good. My waitress was interesting.... the atmosphere was great and I played a game of chess. Left there feeling full which is always a plus. Thankyou

The food and ambiance are always spot on. We have been numerous times since they opened. The service always seems to be lacking. Everything from a total lack of service to disinterested or poorly trained wait staff. We had long stretches when our waitress seemed to disappear. The other staff didn’t seem too interested in helping out. Main entrees came out over 10 minutes apart for the people at the table. After my steak was brought to the table, I waited over 5 minutes before going and asking for a steam knife myself. The service just never seems to match the quality of the food and the ambiance. I hope that changes because we really do enjoy everything else about the restaurant.

Great place to dine. Beautifully decorated and nice environment. Menu can be expanded a bit more. Our evening date we had a horrible waitress... no personality, always interrupting and trying to rush us with our time. Didn't appreciate that one bit.

We went here on a weekend for a date night. We were fairly excited to try it. The atmosphere was nice. The vineyard and garden outside were beautiful. The live music outside was fun and there were a lot of fun places to sit and hang out outside. It was pretty busy outside but not too busy inside the restaurant. Our waitress was nice. Service was a bit slow, but it wasn't too bad. The down side of the whole experience was the food. It looks beautiful. Some of the food was delicious. The Mac and Cheese was the best part of the whole meal. We were not impressed with the meatball appetizer. The bread that came with it was raw dough. The fish and chicken were good. The chicken especially was a good portion of food. The brownie dessert also was completely raw. It looked cooked from the outside but once you got into it, it was pretty much raw brownie mix. All in all, we felt the price didn't match the quality. The cocktails were delicious!

Beautiful atmosphere, very refined country atmosphere. But the food was not good, salt and pepper are NOT spices. Wish their was more favor in the food. The presentation is nice, but there is no country soul in any of the food. Drinks were refreshing, though.

Great atmosphere, great service. Really fun location and vibe. The apps were really good. For the entrees, the salmon was great, the steak less so. It was well cooked, and a great cut, but hardly any seasoning. They provided fancy salt and pepper which made it good, but it should have been done when they cooked it. Dessert menu needs a complete overall, nothing sounded good or was good and no basics like ice cream or cake. Worth going to, but the menu needs some work.

The Sunday Brunch at Farmers Commons offers a mixed experience. The highlight of the menu is the hamburger, cooked to perfection and served fresh off the grill—an excellent choice for any diner. However, the Eggs Benedict with Salmon, though flavorful, was served only warm, and the signature margarita pizza arrived at room temperature. It seems the kitchen staff may have mismanaged the order timing, leading to a less-than-ideal dining experience. A bit more attention to detail could elevate this brunch spot significantly.

We love the atmosphere and food here with 2 major exceptions: the flies and the heat! Constantly battling flies landing on our food indoor in this beautiful room is not acceptable. There are solutions. We understand that the wait staff must in and out to serve people on the patio. But this is TEXAS, and businesses manage to control flies with options such as down draft door fans and fly traps outside. Also, the restaurant indoor eating area was much warmer than the other rooms at the winery. Again the food was very good and the decor is beautiful. The service was great until our waitress left without notice after she had served us dessert and coffee. We kept waiting for our bill for at least 20 minutes after finishing. Finally, my husband flagged the manager who happened to be walking by to ask for our bill. We are “iffy” about recommending it.

The restaurant has publicly listed hours till 7pm, and turned us away at 6pm because they were ”closed” and we “didn’t have a reservation”. Plenty of tables were empty, and a dozen people were still eating. The saving grace was they had to ask permission so that we could have a single takeout pizza. They allowed this only after we told them we were staying on the property.

Let me start with the highlight of the evening, the meatball appetizer. Genuinely good. Flavorful. Well seasoned. If the entire restaurant operated at the level of those meatballs, this would be a five-star review. Unfortunately, that’s where the magic ended. From the moment we sat down, our waitress seemed personally offended that we chose to dine there. The tone was set early when I ordered a steak and after clearly confirming what potatoes came with it asked for a side of mashed potatoes. Simple, right? Apparently not. She felt the need to repeatedly clarify that the mash was not replacing the steak’s potatoes. Yes. I understood that the first time. I promise I’m familiar with how sides work. I regularly dine at Michelin restaurants — I assure you, I can financially and intellectually handle an extra scoop of potatoes. Then came dessert, or what I now refer to as “The Cheesecake Incident.” My wife went to the dessert area to grab a slice of cheesecake for me. The woman there asked if we had ordered it through our waitress. No. Because the waitress was nowhere to be found and had told us dessert was separate anyway. Eventually, they took the order. Ten minutes later, someone who appeared to be the manager came over to inform us that they couldn’t give us one of the two cheesecakes sitting right there because they had “already been sold.” Fascinating concept : displaying food that apparently exists in another dimension. Instead, we were encouraged to try a pistachio dessert that was described as “very similar to cheesecake.” It was not. Not even spiritually similar. It tasted like disappointment with a nut allergy. I managed one bite. That’s all I could negotiate with my taste buds. By this point, we were just ready to leave. And wait we did, sitting there until our waitress finally reappeared so we could pay and escape. I tipped 20% because that’s what I do. But if you’re reading this, just know that tip was based on my standards, not your service. Overall: Complete waste of money. We’ve spent three times as much at other restaurants and happily walked away feeling taken care of. This felt like paying premium prices for attitude, confusion, and a pistachio lie. Do yourself a favor: order the meatballs… and then maybe just leave.

Service was quick but everything seemed like a chore to staff in the restaurant. Food was bland for looking as fresh as it did. Entire group with different entrees all asked for salt and pepper. For the price I was disappointed. Biscuits were great flavor but raw in the center…. Maybe the dinner is better but brunch is not anything special. Wine was amazing! Beautiful property and intimate seating. Actually comfortable. Highly recommend wine tasting and enjoy the views and ambiance.

I’m not sure what the hype is here. Our waiter seemed to hate his job. We each had virtually tasteless pizzas and two cokes. The bill was almost $70 with tip. I’d much rather eat at Mods.

So over rated. The Cornish chicken was dry as if it was cooked several days ahead and then dipped in lemon juice. Ate there three months ago and the food was much better. Spent 200.00 on a meal for me and my wife that was not good at all and couldn’t even have ice in the lukewarm water.

Well I would love to leave a great review but we were not even allowed to get in for breakfast (even though the restaurant was COMPLETELY empty). We were (in a rude manner) told we had to make a reservation. We went to the car to “make a reservation” online, only to find there was absolutely no one else in line. Needless to say, will never be back.

It was a pretty spot, and they had lots of outdoor games and activities. But that’s the extent of it. I was seated with my friend by a hostess who barely even made eye contact with us. We sat there for 30 mins, watching the hostess and wait staff gossip with each other and passing their phones around. We were never even greeted or brought waters. Horrible service. We will not be returning.

THEY STOLE MY FLOWERS! I had an amazing birthday brunch with my family…until the end. Our server, Mia, was so gracious and accommodating. The food was delicious and the restaurant has a nice vibe. Service was quick, especially for a party of 10. I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and balloons for my birthday. After brunch I asked to leave my bouquet at the main bar near the entrance. I didn’t want to store my flowers in the car to welt in this summer heat. The young man working at the main bar too the bouquet to the back. After brunch, we enjoyed lovely sangria margaritas and played corn hole outside. When I returned to pick up my bouquet, half of the roses were missing along with two of the balloons. Needless to say I was pretty disappointed. It was a pretty disappointing end to an otherwise great experience at the beautiful venue. I didn’t make a big deal out of the stolen flowers and balloons because we had a great time otherwise. Be prepared to spend a lot of money. The service is worth a big tip. I guess I’m just too trustworthy of a person. Someone who works there is a thief. Guard your stuff. Otherwise, the food, service, and ambiance is exceptional. UPDATE: your response is completely dismissive of the fact that sentimental property was stolen from me while in the care of your employees. I’m disappointed in this apathetic and cold response. Shameful

Went to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The food was AWFUL. I’ve had better lasagne from a box from the freezer section of the grocery store. My husband ‘s food was horrible too. The server was very nice but the price is far too expensive for the quality of the food. Very disappointed.

F
Fernando

First day I went there food was pretty good but the service was atrocious with only 6 tables and 4-5 servers it took me 10 minutes to get water and 20 minutes after we finished our food to get our check the waiter was what looked like showing videos to another waiter on a tablet the whole night and made however good the food was into a pain to get through. The second day we went for the New Years course menus and the service was much much better with more tables full, but the food was either extremely bland, cold,(like the chicken and waffles) or absurdly salty with no other seasonings or a mix of the three. For 200+ I expected a lot more and was extremely disappointed. The desserts were the one thing that were really good and the pastries.

We tried to give this place another shot today after not so great an experience a year or so back. Unfortunately the hostess had the place on lock down and we never made it past her. We showed up for Brunch about 9:45 this morning, a little worried it wasn't open because there were only 3 cars in parking lot but thought we got lucky. Went in and there were 3 ladies waiting on the hostess. When she got there she told them they were booked full but if they didn't mind outside she could seat them. They said fine, and she took them out back. Strange situation because the place was empty, I mean not a single customer at a single table, empty, no one in sight. We waited while she chatted with some staff and then came back to see us. She also asked us if we minded outside because they were booked. We said rather not, it was hot already and we could see the wind kicking up. We offered to sit at the bar, she said "we have bartenders coming"...not sure what that meant. She started to look at the pad and at that time one of the ladies in the group before us that she put outside, the only group in the entire place, came back to the reception and told her it was too windy where they were. Said it would be impossible to eat, and asked if she had another table out of the wind. She told them she didn't think so then got mesmerized by the pad on the table, I assume looking for an un-booked table in the 100% empty restaurant for these ladies....At any rate, with the trouble she was having seating the only customers in the building besides my wife and I, and focusing furiously on that pad, we left and headed to another place for brunch. It was now 9:57. My wife jumped on Open Table, pulled up Farmers Commons, and Open Table offered us a reservation at 10:15am with seating of our choice. We thought briefly about turning around and going back to ask how we could book a reservation of our choice in the empty establishment for 10:15, 15 minutes from the time we left the parking lot, but couldn't get a seat in the empty restaurant when we walked in.... Decided to just head to Salado instead. Disappointed, really wanted to give this place another chance, beautiful place and menu looks great, but for some reason this morning they just didn't want anyone in the building...? Very very odd situation and the second time we have had trouble just being attended to at a pretty basic level.

C
Chad Hess

Be warned. This is a stunning space, and the wines are good. But the food and the service are well below par, especially considering the food prices. On being seated, we immediately overheard another table’s complaint that a dish (chicken orzo) was very acidic. We had two dishes at our table (shrimp and grits) that had a strong taste of vinegar. We were sold a $12 loaf of bread, when it appeared that complimentary bread was made available to other tables. Our server couldn’t answer basic questions about the menu (soup of the day?) and failed to get answers despite volunteering she would do so. She never refilled our water glasses once. Honestly, we’ve had better service at Cracker Barrel. Multiple staff people were far too unprofessional for the prices and atmosphere.
