I’m not a person who usually posts reviews, but I felt like I had to after what I witnessed in the store. I’m a regular customer because the service here is always great, and the staff are consistently awesome. Also as a beer lover they have a great selection of draft and bottles. While I was here tonight, another customer caused a scene over a pizza order. From what I heard, the order was placed by phone for a pepperoni pizza, and that is exactly what was made. If I order a pepperoni pizza, the only topping I expect is pepperoni, so the situation seemed very clear. The staff calmly explained multiple times that the image being referenced was from an outdated website. Even as the couple continued to escalate and became aggressive, the employees remained patient, respectful, and professional. I genuinely wished I could have stepped in to defend them because they handled the situation so well and did not deserve the treatment they were getting. From an outside perspective, it honestly felt like the customer was trying to get free pizza, which is unfair to the staff who were simply doing their jobs. I will definitely keep coming back.
Korean fried chicken it’s their specialty. It’s very different from American fried chicken. The qualities is exceptionally high, the texture and deliciousness of the sauces make for a wonderful experience. They also had half liters of imported German beer it go well with the restaurant cuisine. Clean designs great music on the monitors make for us somewhat exciting evening generating positive good spirits. We will be having our Thanksgiving dinner there, changing things up from the traditional American cuisine. I’m ready for a bit of a change.
Korean restaurant with creative take on pizza, fried chicken, pasta and others. Ratings: The Mahsil pizza 9/10 Tons of flavor packed into this pizza. The golden crust is stuffed with sweet potato and the dough is nicely fried to form an amazing crust. It features a lot of toppings and they are fantastic. Sweet potato gratin 9/10 Perfectly cooked sweet potato covered by a layer of baked cheese. This is so sweet and savory it's crazy. The soft texture of the sweet potato with the slightly crispy crust of the baked cheese go together in harmony. This dish can be used for anything including a pizza topping, loaded fries topping, or as a dip. Kimchi fries 7/10 Standard order of fries topped with minced kimchi, spicy mayo. It's decent but nothing special. The flavors don't combine or form a new dish, the kimchi flavor and the fries don't blend.
Very fresh and tasty modern and traditional korean foods with large selection of menu in appetizers and main courses, as well nice selection of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Very welcoming and polite staff + enough seats and bar! Will visit soon again! You should try their golden crust pizza , Very crisp on the edges with cheese in the crust.
Tried this place for the first time with my brother for their special pizza and chicken wings and would definitely come back here again! I ordered the kimchi fries for appetizer which was mid but still very flavorful. Then I got their classic mahsil pizza which was surprisingly good from someone who doesn’t really like pizza. Lastly I also ordered their half and half chicken wings combo, sweet and spicy and spicy soy garlic. The spicy soy garlic was okay but the sweet and spicy was really good! Also our server was really nice great service! The design of the restaurant was really cute too!
We've been to this Korean restaurant quite a few times with friends. While we weren't keen on the buffalo chicken wings, the pizza was amazing and the service is 👍🏼. It might be very busy sometimes. We also really enjoy the nice views, and in the summer, they open the windows for a great breeze, and you can even dine outdoors.
Best brewery in Flushing 🥇🥇 Although they don’t actually brew beers here. They do have 12 beers on tap, 3 of my favorites. The hard to find Weihenstephan, Hoegaarden & Allagash White. 💪💪 Amazing ambiance with open windows and out door seating. Feels a bit European. 👍👍 A haven for cyclists looking for a break & beer to cool down in the summer. PROS 1) 12 beers on tap 2) happy hour 3) amazing outdoor seating 4) chicken smells fantastic 5) bike friendly 6) great vibes CONS 1) no coffee or a bike rack
For amazing Korean food Mahsil is the place to be. From crispy dumplings to cheesy pizza and a bubbling pot of Korean Army Stew, everything here is packed with bold, satisfying flavors. The atmosphere is lively with amazing music, a great vibe, and a cozy setup that makes it perfect for hanging out with friends. The Soy Garlic Fried Dumplings are a must-try perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a rich soy garlic glaze that’s both sweet and savory. The Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken Wings are another highlight crispy, sticky, and packed with just the right amount of heat. The flavors are bold, authentic, and exactly what you’d expect from top-tier Korean comfort food. One of the standout dishes is the Mashil Pizza, a deliciously loaded pizza topped with ham, pepperoni, pork, beef, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, black olives, and a mix of mozzarella and string cheese. The crust is stuffed with mozzarella and sweet potato, adding an unexpected but perfect balance of savory and sweet. It’s indulgent in the best way possible. For something comforting and hearty, the Budae Jjigae is a must. This bubbling hot pot is loaded with Spam, sausages, kimchi, tofu, vegetables, and ramen, all simmering in a flavorful beef bone broth. The melted cheese on top adds a rich, creamy finish, making it the ultimate cold-weather meal. They also have a long selection of beers and an impressive drink menu. I got a bottle of soju, which paired perfectly with the meal, especially with the spicy dishes. It’s the perfect place to eat, drink, and unwind. While the restaurant gets busy and is a bit short-staffed, the food and atmosphere make it absolutely worth the wait. The authenticity of the flavors, the amazing music, and the good vibes make Mahsil a must-visit spot in Flushing. If you’re looking for delicious, comforting Korean food with a fun and welcoming environment, this is the place to be!
Mahsil is the kind of place to bring friends, family, or a date to. The food they bring out is 100% shareable and enjoyed best with good company. After my latest visit, I will say I was blown away with the service, the cleanliness, the taste, and overall ambiance. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was cooked very well with an adequate portion. We ordered mainly the bar style foods, and small samplers, and would love to try the more traditional dishes next time. The only thing which I could suggest is maybe adding some hot beverages to the menu. The pricing is fair, we all left full and satisfied. I’d love to visit here again.
Got a friend who wants a Seoul experience? Need a chill-vibe restaurant to enjoy both quality and quantity with friends? Head down to Mahsil in Murray Hill. Need I explain more or should I just let the pictures do the talking? Mahsil has all of the popular menu items from K-Pizza places in Seoul. They have it because it makes sense. From crunchy goodness to creamy-dreamy, the dining drives your tastebuds to one leaned-back, satisfied soul. And this isn't at all possible without a top-notch staff, because it's definitely a Korean thing, "in when in and out when out." They're all sufficiently attentive. A highly recommended restaurant for your next visit to Murray Hill. Get your K-Spicy crave done here.
I had a great time here. Mahsil is a trendy and hip restaurant that serves Korean influenced type of food. Not everywhere you can find bulgogi pizza. They have a wide array of food from Korean fried chicken, to noodle soups, baked dry noodle/pasta, and pizza. They also have appetizers and serve alcoholic beverages. The entrees or portioned nicely. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive. There are several tables inside with some nostalgic music playing that’s not overly loud. There are also some TV screens for whatever is the event to watch. They also have tables outside of the restaurant that is not outside on the sidewalk or on the street. What’s great is that my dog was allowed to join me for dinner. Credit cards are accepted. I would come visit again.
I love this place! It’s more of a Korean-American centered restaurant and it’s quite affordable! I went with 2 friends and we ordered a medium gold crust pizza, a jumbo shrimp pasta, the Cajun fries, 3 sodas, and a half chicken of fried boneless chicken with cream sauce (all of which was very delicious) and our total after tip was around $105. The servers were so nice and everything came super quick.
Been here about 4 times for the past 2 years. Glad I found this gem. First off the staff are all wonderful, lovely people cheerful and helpful. The menu has variety, some traditional Korean dishes, some fusion and straight up pizza. When we go there, we usually order a bit of everything because everything is so good! The layout of the restaurants is pretty cool, but choices of booths or regular tables. There is seating outside, that would be great for outdoor dining. I plan to visit here at night and just enjoy the food and some midnight drinks with some friends. They have a great drink menu and you can do a sampler of beers that they let you choose 4 different beers to drink if you're not looking to drink a lot but have a bunch of choices. Parking would be pretty tough, since they do have street parking but it's usually packed due to the business of the area. If you drive a bit into the residential area you can find parking, It never stopped me from enjoying the area, just keep it in mind. The Long Island Rail Road Murray Station is right across the street, so if you plan to have a night out drinking but no designated driver or don't drive at all, that's a great option. Looking forward to returning!
At first I didn't expect much, the restaurant wasn't very packed and that changed quickly around the dinner rush. The service was excellent and the food was very good. I've ordered the cheese pizza with cheese crust, the Mahsil pizza and the Hawaiian pizza. The onion rings and the mozzarella cheese balls were really good as well. The place was well lit and I noticed that the lighting got dim around dinner time to add to the ambiance, which I thought was nice. It's great for a date spot or just as a place to hang out and grab a bite. All in all, I would definitely recommend.
Mahsil is such a great spot for affordable casual eats! I went with a small group for a chill dinner and it was exactly what we were looking for. The place is small but very cozy, the service was fast, and the food was solid. I really liked the onion rings and the cheese balls were kind of unexpected (they had this sweet, almost churro-like flavor). The takoyaki balls were pretty standard but the main highlight was the the cheese crust pizza! It was so cheesy with the perfect cheese pull on every bite. They also have a a cool variety of beers. Overall, it’s a solid go-to when you just want something easy, simple and lowkey.
The food was delicious but the staff were not attentive at all. We waited for about 10 minutes to order and tried to get the staffs attention but they were not looking at us at all and my friend had to get up to go get someone to take our order. We then had to wait another 10 minutes to flag them down to pay. Overall, the service was not great but the food is delicious and I would go just for that.
Came here to have a late lunch on 7/20. I met my friends who were already seated for about 20-30 mins prior. When my girlfriend and I sat down, we weren't even greeted or given any menus. I had to get up and walk to the counter to grab 2 menus after 10 mins of sitting down. After ordering the food came out fast and was the same quality that I remember. The food has always been good here, but the service on any given day is "hit or miss". This particular day was definitely a miss. The staff was not attentive or friendly at all. They seemed more concerned about doing other things than checking up on us. We weren't asked how the food was, if we needed anything, or even asked if we wanted water. This visit was very disappointing and the only saving grace was the food. I do recommend coming for the food, as the menu is extensive and has a lot of choices. Just don't expect too much from the staff.
